Okay so i'm kinda just writing this off the top of my head at the moment with no real structure in mind. I wouldn't even know where to start with structuring a story anyways I'll try to improve as i go on and i will edit chapters as i learn. Sorry if they're too small for your liking im gonna try to make them longer in the future.
Chapter 2 I meet you!
I just gotta stay calm and keep moving. That's the only thing keeping me running for the past few weeks the chance, the slightest chance, that I might just make it out of this shit situation. Hell, maybe it WILL be like those fanfics and the professor will just believe me cuz he can 'see it in my eyes I'm telling the truth 'Who knows? I'm running on prayers right now.
The dirt crunches under my feet with every footstep 'Speaking of that, obviously something brought me here for some reason, could just be an accident like with the fallers from sun and moon but they lost their memories an- ah my shoes untied' I propped my shoe up on a rock and tied my shoe, I looked out in front of me overlooking a small stream 'When I talked to the locals they said the streams around here were safe… maybe for them but should I really risk it?' I take out my canteen and give it a shake 'damn it it's been warming up and I've been drinking more water, ah well what the hell lets risk it' I place my bottle in the stream and let the water flow into it, the nice cool feeling is pure nirvana for my hand. After placing my bottle in my bag, I rub my face with some of the water, ohh that's nice.

And yet again I am harassed by the spirit of Christmas past, I have no idea what it is, it's not the most threatening thing in the world that's for sure. It's a Pokémon, I don't know what one, all I do know is that it has big round eyes like a cat. I have no clue what it wants or why it's following me of all people, but it's been a week, and nothings happened. If I pretend it's not there maybe it'll get bored and stop bothering me.
There is a surprising lack of people on the road, I've come across a few people but they're mostly people who live in the woods foragers and the like, the sparce courier that couldn't catch a flying Pokémon; nothing crazy. From the map I have this is kinda a dead-end trail, it's just mostly ass end of nowhere villages all in a row until you hit the main route leading to Lumiose. I'm almost there, I can just about see the light at the end of this hell tunnel.
But for now, all I can do is continue on walking, and make it all the wa- "HEY!"
I'm cut off from my train of thought by the scream, I take a look around and spot a girl a bit younger than me running in my direction when she got a bit closer I could take in some of her features better, tan skin, striking green eyes, and the most complex hair style that i could swear seemed familiar to me... she slid to a halt and pointed at me before saying "You're a trainer right!? I challenge you to a battle!"

I just stare at her for a minute before a self-conscious look starts to seep onto her face slowly putting her arms down and asking "…what was I too aggressive?" she asked nervously
"Ah uhhh… no its just… I'm not a trainer… yeah sorry" was all I could muster feeling a bit sorry to ruin the excitement for her
"w-well do you at least have a Pokémon so we can battle?"
I cringe a bit "no sorry I don't have one…"
"Oh…"
'Yeah, this is just awkward now' I take another glance at the girl "so uh what are you doing all the way out here?"
The girl looks up "I could ask you the same thing."
"Well unlike you I'm trying to leave sooo…"
She laughs a bit "ha, fair point. I got a bit turned around and thought I'd explore a bit. I'm actually on my way to Lumiose to pick up a delivery for my mom, what about you?"
"I'm on my way to Lumiose too, I'm actually trying to pick up some work and get a meeting at the lab."
"Ohhh really? Trying to get a meeting with Sycamore, eh? You some late start trainer trying to play catch-up? OH, you want one of those lab Pokémon, don't ya? They give them all beginners battle training so they're a good head start if you're lucky enough to get one!
"Hm? Oh yeah Froakie, Fennekin, and Chespin right? Sorry but I don't really have any plans of becoming a trainer at the moment, I need to get some stuff straightened out before"
"Wha- really? You don't wanna get out and explore the world! My mom always told me that I should get out while I'm still young! You're not that much older than me you still got time to start!"
I'm starting to feel a bit annoyed, but I just try to brush it off 'she just means the best just ignore it' "I've got some stuff I need to work out, I can't really do anything until I've got everything settled okay?" 'Oops I slipped a little there, hopefully I didn't come off too abrasive' Gauging her reaction I'd say she barely even noticed.
"Oh! Alright I get ya, Hey! We should travel together! That would be fun! Its been boring being on the road by myself. It'll be nice to have a travel buddy, someone to talk to on the long walk to Lumiose, heck we might even be rivals one day if you do decide to be a trainer!"
'Should I really accept? I don't even know this girl, and even if it all goes well has this girl never heard of stranger danger? Is that even an actually issue here? Ahhh why not its been pretty boring what the hell' "sure, I'll join you" Her face lit up in the biggest smile, "Woo! Let's go! My names Shauna by the way I'm from Vaniville and you?"
"Um, I'm Alex from uh… Summerside, its nice to meet you Shauna" 'Ah shit! Ah Fuck! I thought that crazy hair looked familiar! I should have just declined… wait a minute were heading the same way at the same time! It literally didn't matter! Am I gonna get dragged into the whack ass main story of XY? I mean she's just starting so it's before the games kick off, or crap wait is it the anime timeline! That probably more likely cuz of how watered down everything's been!'
"Hey Alex? You alright there? Was it something I said?" Shauna had closed the distance during my little panic attack and was currently waving her hand directly in front of my face. I finally snap out of it after a moment and reply "yeah, yeah, I'm alright now let's get moving. We're burning daylight just standing around let get this party started haha!" 'That was the most forced laugh of my life dear Go- Arceus, please don't notice' I look over to see, once again, she had not noticed. Honestly she looked even more ecstatic than before
"YEAH! Let's get Rollin!" and like that me and Shauna began our trek to Lumiose. Huh, maybe there's some light before the end of the tunnel too, you just gotta be lucky enough to find it.
Even if that light is one of those loud office ceiling lights.
