Ch.15

As it was getting dark when they arrived at camp, they were quiet getting off the raft so as to not alert anyone. Stepping off the raft first, Percy held his hand out before helping Calypso off the raft and took her suitcase.

Walking up the hill, he looked around, surprised and concerned that he didn't see anyone. He turned to Calypso. "Hold your suitcase, I need my spear." she nodded as she took back her suitcase as Percy gripped his necklace, pulling down and calling his spear.

They slowly walked through the camp before Percy saw smoke coming from the amphitheater. He cautiously walked toward it, before relaxing. The campers were sitting around the amphitheater burning a burial shroud.

It was silver which made Percy's stomach sink as he thought a hunter had died. But when he noticed it was silver with a green trident, his eyes widened as he realized it was for him.

Listening to Chiron's speech, he felt his heart sink. "With no word from Percy or the gods, it's safe to assume he has passed. Lady Artemis kindly created a shroud for him." Percy looked around as he could see Aurora sitting with Zoe, who had her wrapped in a hug. Percy felt bad knowing he was gone for a week.

But he figured a dramatic entrance would help ease the tension of his return. Thinking to himself, he called out to his dad. "Hey Dad, do you think you could create a holder for my trident like yours on my back? He felt a warm feeling through his head as a holder appeared on the back of his hoodie. "Thanks, Dad." Percy could swear he could feel his dad smiling.

Looking back at the shroud that Aurora had just lit on fire, Percy turned to Calypso. "Watch this," he said as he put his trident together. Taking a step back, Percy threw his trident up in the air and watched as it came down directly on his burial shroud.

The campers looked around in surprise, not seeing who threw the trident. Artemis on the other hand, was smiling as she looked around, knowing that was Percy's trident. The campers gasped as they looked at the shroud, as the moonlight rested on the trident. The flame Aurora set extinguished when the trident landed, and as the moon settled on the trident, it began to glow.

A few seconds later, Percy teleported to his trident, appearing on the shroud before yanking the trident out of the shroud and concrete table it rested on, and spun it, before sliding it on his back. He turned to look at the campers who were frozen in shock. "What? I'm not a fan of burning something beautiful like this," he said shrugging.

The campers all unfroze at the same time, as they started yelling different things. Artemis was smiling, Zoe looked relieved, as did Amelia who sat on Zoe's other side. Annabeth looked ecstatic, while Thalia just smiled. Chiron looked relieved as well. Percy smiled at them before turning to the girl still wrapped in Zoe's arm.

Jumping down from the table, he slowly walked towards Aurora before crouching down in front of her. "Hey you," he said. Aurora looked at him in shock before her eyes watered as she dived at him.

Percy happily caught her as she sobbed into his chest. "I thought you died," she choked out. Percy held her as he stood up, which caused her to jump up and wrap her legs and arms around him. Percy straightened up and walked over to Chiron. "Chiron, we have a visitor at the top of the hill, please go get her settled in, I need to take care of this one," he said as he pointed at Aurora.

Chiron nodded confused before hurrying up the hill. Percy looked down at Aurora who was still buried in his chest, before wrapping his arms around her and vanishing from the amphitheater in a shower of silver.

They reappeared in Percy's room, and Percy sat down on the edge of the bed with Aurora still clinging to him. "Sunshine, it's fine. I'm here," Percy said softly. Aurora didn't respond but Percy felt her cling tighter. Percy sighed contently before resting his chin on her shoulder and rubbing her back in a soothing motion. They stayed like that for a few minutes until Percy felt her loosen her grip on him.

She looked up at him and Percy's heart broke at seeing the fear and pain in her eyes. "I thought I lost you. I don't know what I would do if.." she stammered off before crying again. Percy pulled her back into his chest before hugging her tightly. "I know babe, I know." Percy softly rocked her back and forth for a while until he felt her stop crying and slowly drift to sleep.

Percy quietly detached himself from her before taking her shoes off and putting her to bed. After that, he went to freshen up for bed before climbing into bed and passing into the realm of Morpheus.

The next morning, Percy woke up to find Aurora firmly pressed against him, with her holding his arm around her stomach. He smiled as he looked at her peacefully sleeping form. He tried moving to get up but quickly gave up when he couldn't get his arm from her grasp. As he lay there thinking about what the plan was, there was a knock on the door. "Open the door," Percy said as quietly as he could.

The door cracked open and Zoe poked her head in. She slipped inside before slowly closing the door behind her. "Hey Zoe, what's going on?" Percy asked. "Felix's friend Rachel, who is a clear-sighted mortal, and our way to navigate the maze, is coming today."

Percy nodded in response. Looking over at Aurora who was beginning to stir, he kissed her lightly on her cheek before turning back to Zoe. She was smiling at the scene, happy that Aurora was sleeping again after struggling to do so the previous week. "We'll be ready in a bit. Did you get the chance to see Calypso?"

Zoe shook her head looking confused. "Isn't she trapped on her island?" Percy shook his head. "No, I brought her back with me. Her island is where I have been the last week. Posideon freed her after I threatened to stay there and leave Zeus to fight Kronos alone unless she came with me." Zoe looked shocked before she smiled.

"You are different from most men. I don't know if anyone would threaten the gods' existence like that." Percy shrugged. "I wasn't about to leave her to that torture any longer. Especially since she's yours and Aurora's sister. " Zoe smiled before nodding and heading out to find her sister.

Percy laid back down until he felt Aurora squeeze his arm. He smiled as she turned around to face him. "Good morning Sunshine. How'd you sleep?" Aurora looked at him for a moment before burying her face into his chest and punching his arm. "Shut up Seaweed Brain," she mumbled.

"Ow, what was that for? I come back after being blown out of a volcano and I get abused what kinda crap is that." Percy complained. Aurora punched his arm again. "That's for leaving me for a week not knowing if you died. Do it again and I will kick your ass." Percy nodded quickly. "Yes, ma'am consider me warned. No more potentially dead-vanishing acts." Aurora nodded in his chest. "Good. glad you know your place." Percy rolled his eyes before smiling at her antics.

"So are you ready to go meet up with everyone?" Sooner we go the sooner we get to come home." Aurora shook her head. "No, I'm comfortable where I am." Percy looked at her in disbelief. "You're not gonna let me go are you?" She shook her head in response. Percy sighed before resting his chin on her head.

When Aurora finally decided to let him go, they got up and got prepared to meet up with the others to meet Rachel, whom Percy still had no idea who was. Zoe mentioned Rachel was their way through the maze, which Percy didn't understand why but wasn't about to question Zoe. He had enough respect for her to listen and he trusted her judgment.

They left the house to find the others, who they assumed would either be together or would be at their separate activities. After looking for a while, they decided to check the war room.

When they arrived, they were surprised to see everyone in a tight discussion, but were quiet instead of the loud and verbal Percy had grown used to seeing at war meetings. When they walked in everyone's head turned to them and they all went silent.

"What's going on?" he asked. Felix turned to look at him nervously. "Ummm hi, Percy." Percy turned to look at him with a slightly colder expression. "Hey Felix, what's going on." 'Well, some of the campers don't like the fact you left for a week and reappeared with a titan. I honestly don't know how they did it but they somehow managed to get Lord Zeus's attention and he demands that Calypso be brought to Olympus."

Percy stood there for a minute before his eyes started to glow a mix of silver and sea green. The campers watched fearfully and grabbed onto their seats as the Big House shook. 'They…did…what." Percy stated, all happiness gone from his voice, instead replaced with a chilling cold tone of voice.

At that moment, a bright flash appeared in the center of the room. Hermes appeared looking bewildered at the fearful expressions on the counselor's faces until he finally noticed the house shaking. Following their expressions he turned around before looking eyes with Percy. Seeing the furious demigods, Hermes gulped before stepping forward. "Percy Lord Zeus has no intention of harming Calypso. He only wants her to return to her island until the war is over."

Percy's eyes dimmed as Hermes let out a sigh of relief. "No" Percy stated. Hermes looked shocked before stepping back. 'What do you mean no?" he asked tentatively. "I mean no. Calypso is not going back to that island. Did my father tell the council my feelings on the matter?" Hermes nodded. "Okay then. Now that Zeus knows my warning. Does he still want her back on her island?" Hermes closed his eyes for a few seconds before opening them again."Yes. He says she does not have to have a barrier on the island keeping her in but he still wants her contained to ease the camper's worries."

Percy stood looking at Hermes for a minute before nodding. "Very well. Aurora, come with me. If Zeus wants her back on that island and refuses to listen to me, then I will obey him." Thunder boomed as Hermes smiled and nodded. "I will wait here for you to return with her." Percy nodded before the headed out of the room.

Zoe, who was sitting in the Artemis chair sat confused. She knew that there was no way in Hades Percy would ever agree to that, but she figured she would find out sooner or later what the reason was. After 20 minutes of waiting, Percy still hadn't returned. Hermes grew concerned and was about to leave the room when Chiron walked in. 'Ah Chiron, have you seen Percy and Calypso?" Chiron nodded. 'Yes, my lord. Percy, Calypso, and Aurora all just teleported out of the camp, courtesy of Aurora. I do not know where they went."

Hermes paled before he nodded and he walked out of the room, the demigods able to see a bright flash of light outside the door. Zoe sat there stunned before she heard her mistress's voice in her head. "Zoe return to my cabin immediately. We need to go before Zeus figures out what happened." Zoe instantly jumped out of her seat the sprinted from the room, earning multiple confused looks from the counselors.

When she arrived at the cabin, she realized all the huntresses were grouped inside, including Thalia which confused her, until she noticed she was wearing hunter gear. Artemis appeared from her bedroom, and seeing Zoe, smiled in relief. "Good, now that we are all here, let us go." The huntresses didn't have time to question what their mistress meant before Artemis flashed them out of the cabin. When they opened their eyes, they gasped as they took in their surroundings. They were on a beautiful island, which was already confusing before they noticed the giant mini-mansion that sat in the middle of the island, as they could see it over the top of the trees.

"Quickly, let us regroup with the others at the house," Artemis spoke quickly. The huntresses all nodded before they followed their leader in a sprint until they reached the front door. What they saw made them appreciate the building even more. It was a glowing silver with moon designs etched into the house. The Huntress's were confused as they assumed this was Artemis's home but even they had never seen it, Zoe included. When they got inside they marveled at the beauty of the interior. It felt modern but with a splash of ancient Greek design.

When they reached the main room they stopped in the doorway. It was a massive room filled with seating arrangements and a kitchen. What confused Zoe the most in particular, however, was the fact lounging on one of the couches was Percy, with Aurora curled up with him. Sitting across from them was a woman with silver hair and silver eyes, who Zoe recognized as Selene. Next to her sat a man wearing a flaming laurel wreath, who Zoe knew had to be Helios, Selene's twin. Calypso was sitting by a windowsill, caring for some flowers.

Percy sat up and looked towards the door as he heard them enter, much to the protest of Aurora, and smiled once he saw everyone. "Ah, there you guys are. Welcome to my home." Artemis stepped forward before looking around. "Percy, when did you get this fancy of a home?" Percy laughed before laying back down, gesturing to the huntresses to sit down anywhere.

"After I took Calypso, Mom and Uncle took the liberty of commandeering the island, so to speak. As it's in my father's domain, Zeus couldn't do anything about it. Which is why you are all here. I warned my father any act against Calypso or any attempt to keep her on the island would lead me to stay on the island with her, as well as bring Aurora and you guys here."

Artemis and her huntress's eyes widened, confused as to why Percy would specifically mention them. "But why would you care about the huntress's Percy? You don't know most of them." Percy smiled in response. "Because they are Zoe and Amelia's family. I would not save my two friends and leave their sisters behind to fight a losing war especially not at the cost of their lives. Plus I knew Zeus would try to use the other huntresses as leverage if I took Zoe and Amelia, so I brought all of you as a safeguard."

Artemis smiled before walking over and shaking his hand. "Thank you Percy for looking out for my huntresses, even though you didn't have to." Percy smiled before nodding."Of course Artemis. Eventually if need be I will grab all my close friends and bring them here, mainly Annabeth."

As soon as he finished speaking, the sky shook as lightning boomed above their heads. The huntresses looked up nervously while Percy looked up at the skylight with a defiant expression. "Try it, crybaby!" he yelled. Everyone looked up in shock at the sky and watched a massive lighting bolt come hurtling down towards the skylight before it bounced off way above the mansion room. The group looked at Percy in confusion, who smiled at their expressions.

"This palace is protected by my father's realm as well as my uncle's during the day and my mother's during the night. Zeus has no power here, but he can try all he wants. It's futile." the group laughed until Artemis looked up. "Zeus is calling a meeting, I shall return soon. Selene you may need to be prepared to bring Percy." Selene looked up in surprise but nodded. With that, the group looked away as Artemis glowed silver before flashing away.

(Olympus)

Artemis arrived and quickly took her throne. Everyone else was already present, except Posideon who arrived a few seconds after Artemis had taken her seat. "Good, now that everyone is here, we can start. We need to decide what to do with the titan traitors!" Zeus exclaimed. Poseidon looked confused before his expression hardened.

"What do you mean the titan traitors," he said with an edge to his voice. Zeus turned to look at him. "I mean the fact I ordered the loose Titaness to be put back on her island, and instead of dropping her off with Hermes, Percy, and Aurora teleported out of the camp with her instead. When I found out they were on the island with Calypso in a mansion, I tried destroying it only to have my bolt bounce off as if the barrier was still up."

Poseidon listened to Zeus's speech before leaning forward, with a colder expression on his face than I've ever seen someone have, myself included. "Well this will be interesting," Artemis thought to herself. "You mean to tell me that you ignored what I told you not 24 hours ago, and are now upset that Percy followed through with his threat? You know as much as I do what my children's fatal flaw is. What made you think Percy wouldn't follow through."

I have to admit he's got a point," Artemis thought as she watched the exchange. Zeus looked at Posideon angrily. "I don't care what your flaw is, I want to know why the house is protected from my bolts." Poseidon leaned back on his throne. "Because the island is in my domain, you dumbass. It's protected by my power, as well as Lady Selene and Lord Helios during their respective times of power. That island is as untouchable by you as Atlantis is."

Zeus at this point was turning red in the face by sheer anger and jumped up off his throne, holding his master bolt threatingly. "HOW DARE YOU PROTECT THE TRAITORS FROM ME! IF YOU WANT TO HIDE THEM THEN I WILL TAKE IT OUT ON THEIR FRIENDS! HERMES RETRIEVE AURORA'S SISTER AND THAT HUNTER GIRL FROM THIER QUEST." Hermes nodded grimly before flashing away

At this point, Artemis realized who he was going after. Jumping off her throne, she protested loudly.

"Leave my huntresses alone they did nothing to you!" Poseidon jumped off his throne, leveling his trident at his brother. "You make any move against my nieces's huntresses and you won't live to fight the battle with our father." At that moment Hermes flashed back empty-handed.

"They aren't at camp father." Zeus turned to look at Artemis. "Where are they daughter." Artemis looked defiantly at her father. "They are on the island with Percy because he suspected you might try this." Zeus bellowed with rage before leveling his bolt at Artemis. "Then I will take it out on your remaining hunters. You will learn not to defy me." at that Posideon threw his trident at his brother's hand, knocking the bolt out of it and pinning it to the far wall.

"Geez you are slow. My son may be a bit dumb at times but he's not stupid. All of my niece's huntresses are there because he knew you would try going after them to force him to give up Zoe and Amelia." I don't know who was more surprised, Zeus who was looking at his symbol of power pinned to a wall, or Artemis over the fact her uncle was her huntress's name.

Poseidon turned to Artemis smiling, all hatred gone from his face. "My dear, return to your huntresses, We will deal with this idiot." She nodded and flashed away as she heard her father bellowing something about not allowing anyone to leave.
