Chapter two
But I also don't want to hide our relationship, so how about we tell everyone at lunch?" Ginny replied while she sat up and fixed her hair.
"If that is what you want to do Gin, then that is fine with me, I am not looking to hide anything either." Harry said and offered his hand to her as he stood up from the couch. Ginny took his offered hand ans stood up as well. Not wanting to give something away before they talked to everyone, they let go of each others hands before entering the kitchen together.
Harry and Ginny sat down at the table next to each other, on Harry´s other side sat Hermione. Harry was thankful for that, just in case anyone had a rising of temper later on. Glancing at Ginny, Harry could see that she had similar thoughts on her mind. Wanting to ease her worries a bit he gave her a quick smile and gently squeezed her hand that he was holding under the table. Ginny caught him looking at her, smiled back at him and whispered a quiet "thank you" into his ear. Harry just nodded her his head in responds. Most were ignorant to their new behavior, but Hermione had a suspicion as to why Harry and Ginny were sitting so close together right now.
Lunch was a lovely time for everyone there, sure the Weasley´s were still missing their father/husband but the mood was still good all around. Sirius was happy as well, because he got to see Harry being happy with his friends just letting go for once. Remus and Tonks joined the others in time for desert, after apologizing for being later then usually. Ginny took one look around the gathered people to see if everyone was finished with their desert. Once she could confirm that, she gently squeezed Harry´s hand under the table to let him know that it was time for that they wanted to announce.
Harry felt Ginny´s hand squeeze his own and knew what she wanted to say with it. It was time to announce their relationship to the family. "Could we have everyone´s attention please?" Ginny said as she and Harry stood up from their seats.
"Ginny my dear what is this about? It is very unlike you to pull so much attention towards you outside of quidditch and even more so towards Harry." Mrs Weasley asked while looking at her only daughter.
Ginny shared a look with Harry and then answered "Your right mum, usually I wouldn´t more attention towards Harry then there already is. This time tho it is a welcome attention, because Harry and I had a conversation while you all were busy after breakfast."
"What Ginny is trying to say is, that this attention is needed, because we want to share some news with everyone here." Harry continued so that Ginny could gather her thoughts again.
"And the news that we have to share is that Harry and I are dating now. We confessed our feelings for each other earlier today and we are now officially boyfriend and girlfriend." Ginny said and then kissed Harry on his cheek while grabbing his hand.
As soon as the last words left Ginny´s mouth there was a short silence followed by a jumble of voices saying all kinds of different things at the same time.
Ginny looked at Harry could see his worried and couldn´t take it anymore, so she yelled "Shut up! All of you shut up now."
The Weasley´s never heard Ginny yell quite like that, so it had the effect she wanted. It was quiet in the dining room of Grimmauldplace.
Now that it was silent, Ginny continued to speak in a normal tone of voice "You will all get a chance to say something, but not at the same time and not while yelling at us. We didn´t have to share this with any of you, we chose to do so. So please keep that in mind." After that she didn´t say anything else and she and Harry sat down again.
"Well that certainly is some news, but good news. Your father and I are very happy for you two, in fact we hoped for this news ever since the yuleball last year happened. So if you promise not to take the physical aspect of your relationship too far too fast, we will allow to share w room with Harry." Mrs Weasley said with a smile on her face.
After that statement from the Weasley Matriarch Ginny´s brothers didn´t really know what to say, so lunch was quiet for the remaining time.
/ Scene Break /
Harry and Ginny retreated to the living room after lunch was done. Once inside the living room, Ginny pushed Harry down on one of the loveseats and then sat down on his lap.
"Not that I am complaining Gin, but do you really think this is the right place to enjoy our time together?" Harry asked as he wrapped his arms around his girlfriend.
"You heard what mum said Harry, they are happy for us and I am not worried about my brothers. We have nothing to worry about so kiss me please" Ginny said and wrapped her arms around his neck. Needing no more encouragement then that Harry did just that and kissed her gently at first and then more passionately.
Ginny returned the kiss just as passionate and they only broke apart once the need to breath became too much to ignore.
Just as they wanted to kiss each other again they heard someone walking into the room. Ginny got of his lap and they stood up from the loveseat. Before they could do or say something a fist collided with Harry´s face with the words "Keep your hands of my Sister."
Ginny was about ready to hex Ron into next week, when a voice spoke from behind them "Ronald Weasley you absolute hypocrite, I asked you not to do this, to leave Harry and Ginny alone."
Hearing his girlfriends Voice Ron turned around and wanted to say something. But Hermione continued on "Don´t interrupt me Ronald, did you listen to what I asked of you, no you didn´t. I am so mad at you right now. You want me to spend new years with you, not gonna happen anymore. I am going home, you ruined my Christmas and I need space from you." After she said that Hermione slapped Ron across the face and walked out of the room.
"Great Job Ron you once again let your temper get the best of you. Not only did you punch me with no reason what so ever, but you managed to piss of your girlfriend as well." Harry said and then left the room quietly.
Ginny was fuming and glared at her brother "Be happy that Hermione got here when she did. You hurt he person the means the most to me, your own best friend. Now get out of my way before I hex you into next week."
While Ginny walked up to her room, Harry gently knocked on the door to Hermione´s room. "Who´s there?" came the reply from inside the room.
"It´s me Harry, can I come in?" Harry said while waiting for her to open the door.
Knowing who was behind the door, Hermione got of her bed, walked towards the door and opened it. "Come in Harry, but close the door behind you please" Hermione said and let her best friend walk into her room. Harry did as she asked and closed the door behind him.
"You know you didn´t have to do this for me Mione. You don´t have to put your relationship on hold because of what happened." Harry gently said as he sat down next to his best friend on her bed.
"As much as I love you like a brother Harry, I didn´t do this just for you, yes it played a part but was not the main reason. I asked Ron to leave you and Ginny alone, that you had every right to date each other. I told him what would happen if he didn´t." Hermione replied and rested her head on Harry´s shoulder.
After sitting like this for a sold three minutes, Hermione got of her bed and said "I should really get to packing my stuff, I can´t stay here after what just happened."
"Mione before you do that, can I ask you something?" Harry asked looking at his best friend.
"Of course you can Harry." Hermione replied while getting her suitcase from under her bed.
After taking a deep breath Harry and looked at Hermione and asked "Do you think it would be okay for your parents, if I came with you? After what Ron I don´t really feel like staying here either. Ginny will be upset but she will understand it."
Not really needing to think about it much Hermione replied "Yes they will be okay with it, because they know what we are just friends. Are you sure you want to leave without Ginny tho?"
"Of course I would much rather be with Ginny, but right now I can´t stad the thought of being here any longer and I know Mrs Weasley won´t let Ginny leave with me." Harry answered as he got up from Hermione´s bed.
"Okay then, meet me downstairs in half an hour, then I am ready to leave and we can go and stay with my parents." Hermione said while she started to pack her stuff.
Harry nodded his head and left her room after giving her a quick hug as a thank you.
/ Scene Break /
"I don´t like it one bit Harry, but I can understand your need to leave. Because if I could then I would do so as well." Ginny said while wrapping her arms around her boyfriend.
Harry hated seeing Ginny like this, with tears running down her beautiful face. "Please don´t cry Gin, we will see each other soon again. I promise I will find a way for us to celebrate the new year together." Harry said and gently wiped her tears away with his thump.
Ginny didn´t get any words out after that, so she chose to do the one thing she could to show him how much she cared. She kissed him with every bit of love for him that she had in her.
Once again the two only pulled apart once air became necessary again. "Okay I should really go now, Hermione is waiting already. I am gonna miss you Gin." Harry said while hugging her tight.
"I am gonna miss you too Harry." She replied while trying to keep more tears from leaving her eyes.
After the two of them pulled out of the hug, Harry and Hermione left Grimmauldplace through the floonetwork with Ginny looking longingly after her boyfriend.
After arriving at the Granger´s, Hermione led Harry up to her room, where the guest-bed was already set up for him. While that was going on Ginny was waiting for her mother to return from visiting her father at the hospital. She was fuming about what Ron did earlier and she wanted a bit of revenge on her brother.
Ron knew what he did was wrong as soon as he did it, but he was so mad at Harry for dating his little sister that it just happened. Now Hermione went to her parents, Harry went with her and Ginny was more then mad at him. He needed to do something, maybe Ginny would listen to him. So with his plan set he walked towards the living room again.
Inside the living room Ron started to say "Ginny can I just" he could get out more as Ginny stood up from where she sat down and pointed her wand at him. "No Ron I don´t want hear it you ruined my Christmas, you ruined Harry´s Christmas and you ruined Hermione´s Christmas as well. May boyfriend didn´t feel welcome in his own home anymore because of you, until he and Hermione forgive you I don´t want to see your face. I will go to my room now and only come down once mum is back and you can bet that I will tell her everything that happened." Ginny interrupted her brother and then left the room and walked up the stairs.
