Regina
I make my way downstairs, passing the kitchen to the front door. Once I am at the front door I realize that I do not hear any footsteps behind me. That means nobody is behind me which means Ruby is still in my room. Alone. Damn it!
"Mom where are you going?" Henry asks while making his way from the kitchen to me so we are face to face. Of course Tink, Snow and David are right behind him. I want to answer him when I feel my heart being moved and I can hear footsteps making their way down. Damn it! No! This can't be happening. I look at Henry and his questioning eyes. Behind hin are three pairs of confused ones.
"I thought I heard somebody honey."
I tell him and I can see in his eyes that he doesnt believe me. Not even one bit. I can hear those damn footsteps coming closer. I cant have Henry finding out that I've ripped my own heart out.
"I'll be right back" I tell Henry raising my hands to poof me in front of Ruby which is to my disappointment on the staircase where everyone can see us. Awesome. Just great.
"Ruby." I warn and plead with her at the same time as my eyes fall to the box in her hands and then to her eyes.
"No Regina. You did enough talking upstairs now its my turn." She says while looking into my eyes and holding the box protectively to her stomach.
"Please." I am begging her. Begging her that she won't do this in front of everyone. Most importantly not in front of Henry. I feel paralyzed. I want to poof us somewhere. Anywhere, the woods, my vault, my room anywhere but here. Unfortunately the communication between my brain and body seems to be working against me. Jesus Christ! I look at Snow and Tink hoping they get the message and get Henry out of here. Thankfully Snow understands and takes Henrys hand.
"Come on Henry. Let's go outside for a bit. How about some sword fighting?"
Henry looks at Charming and Snow and then at me. I smile a probably not very convincing smile at him but he thankfully still agrees and goes with them. They make their way outside and Tink joins them a few moments later. I let out a breath I didnt know I was holding and look back at Ruby.
"Ruby" i try again only to be glared at.
"No. You spoke upstairs. Now it's my turn and you're gonna listen, understood?!"
There is definitely no room in arguing with her and there is the little fact that she holds my heart in her hands, literally. Well the box that contains my heart anyway. So I nod my head in agreement and make my way down the stairs once again but this time with her following me. Once I am back on the main floor I turn around to look at her.
