"Sir I got no control"
"Colonel, what are you doing"
"Need to go faster" then he walk out of the room
"Teal'c can you go with Jack, while I'll explain to the colonel here what has happen" Teal'c bow his head and went to look for Jack.
"Dr Jackson" Daniel told the colonel what going on and what Jack planing on doing. When he finish telling him the heard humming noise
"Sir, I can't explain it sir, the planet we are heading to we going to be there in twenty minutes and the speed is fifty times faster"
"How long if we didn't have this extra speed?"
"Five days sir"
Five minutes later jack return and walk back over to the computer and did some typing for few minutes before turning around and walk back out again. Then return ten minutes later and type on the computer again, then they came out of hypo space.
"Sir I got control again"
"Good" they all look out the window and saw the planet below.
"Teal'c the transporting device please" Teal'c pass him the device, then he push it and he was beam down to where the controls were, he work on the controls and the shields were raised when jaffa showed up
"You cant get to me" they fired there staff weapon and it bounce off the shield
"Told ya" Then that he started pushing buttons on the panel.
They all heard humming, then the stargate started spinning, when it was form, more jaffa were there. Just before jack push the last button, he looked at them all
"You are now free"
Then he pushed the button; there was a shock wave that spread through every stargate and out in the galaxy. Then Jack shut it all down and removed the shield since the jaffa were all knock on the ground and beam up onto the ship
"No more metal bugs"
"Now what"
"Let go home" then they jump into hypo space and headed home.
"Jack how are you feeling?"
"Good, I'm hungry" then he walk out of the room to go and get some thing to eat
When they arrived back to earth two hours later, the four of them were beam back down to the gate room
"Where back" Sam was in the control room when they were beam down to the gate room. She walk down to the gate room with Hammond in tow Jack gave Sam a hug and kiss "Dr Jackson, care to tell us what happen?"
"No more repercaters sir, they all been wipe out"
"The shock wave we felt couple of hours ago"
"Yep, we got what we needed I had some sort of mini down load, went to a planet, boosted the hypo dive on the oddesey, beam down activate the ancient weapon, no more bugs, and then home again"
"Good work colonel"
"Thank you sir, but I need to go to a planet"
"Jack" he turns and look at her
"It got a out post on it, we can have it here, just in case earth is attack"
"Sir, it might help us fight against the goa'uld, if they try to attack earth"
"Ok you have a go but take the Promethis with you this time Jack and if you got time can you"
"super up the hypo drive, sure, thanks" he said grinning
"Ok first showers then post ops, then have some thing to eat while I'll get a driver sorted out for you all to take you to Promethis"
"Thanks sir, but all they have to do is beam us up" jack said
"Ok, shower, post ops and hot meal before you all go"
"Thanks you sir"
"Sam, sorry you can't go"
"I under stand, I got to think about the rest of the family" he nodded
"Come on sam, doc awaits with her big honken needles to shove up my ass" he said
When they walk out of the gate room Hammond smile while shaking his head as he watch them walk out of the gate room, then he follow him self but back to his office. Hour later, they all had their showers, post ops and had late lunch together before Jack and Sam went into their quarters so they could be alone for fifteen minutes before Jack had to leave. They hug, talk and kiss while they were alone.
When the time came up they both left together for the gate room. When they arrived there Daniel and Teal'c were there waiting for them. They both hug and kiss before the guys were beam away. Sam return back to her lab and all she could do is wait for their return.
When the guys were beams aboard, Jack went to one of the computers then the ship jump into hypo space. Jack went down to the engine room with Daniel following him. When they got there Jack started rearrange crystals and fired the zat at it. Daniel was taping the whole thing for Sam since she asked him to.
They arrived at the planet with in half an hour. Since there was only two suits, Teal'c went with Jack down to where the out post is. When they were rings down, they walk over to where the chair is and Jack crouch down and wave his hand over a circle then the ZPM came put of the ground. Jack pulled it out and the lights died around the chair.
"Now Teal'c"
Teal'c held on to Jack arms and they beam up to the ship. Jack passes him the ZPM then he walked over to one of the computers and started typing away.
"Sir he beam up the whole out post"
"Where is it Major?"
"Storage room one, two and three sir" Then they went into hypo space
"Major"
"It not me sir"
"Jack where are we going?"
"Thor" Jack said as he carries on typing on the computer, then he stop at turned around and look at them
"Jack"
"We going to the planet where the human repercaters is, that is where Thor is, we will be there in one hour" Daniel nodded.
Then Jack turn back to the computer and started typing away and Daniel was wondering what was he up to so he walk over and saw lines of '1' and '0'. Then he remember he did the same thing when he finish had the down load few years ago and relies it was gate addresses. When he finish there, he was typing some thing else. Daniel watches him the whole time.
By the time he was finish; they just came out of hypo space where they saw Thor ship. Jack types some thing on the computer, then he was beam over to Thor ship. The others were shock with what he did, but all they need to do is wait. When Jack arrived on Thor ship, Thor was shock to see Jack appeared
"Thor buddy are you ok"
"O'Neill you surprised me that is all"
"Ok how the repercaters and where is the planet"
"The planet is swallowed up by a black hole but the repercaters escaped in a ship, they went to fire a weapon on me where my senses pick up a energy wave, it destroy the ship, how this was possible I need to investigate"
"No need, it was me and powerful ancient weapon"
"Please explain?"
Jack told Thor about what was happening to the repercaters, and how Daniel, Teal'c and he went to the forbidden planet to ask the hologram about a weapon which could destroy them. The mini down load, supering up the ship so it got to Dakara faster, him going down and activate the weapon which cause the shock wave. Then going home, then to a planet which was at the end of it life and beam up the out post and drones, then came. When Jack finish telling Thor every thing, he look at him and waited for an answer.
"Do you want the knowledge removed?"
"Yes if you can please" thor walk over to one of the control panels an moved couple of stones, then a chamber appeared and he walk over to it and push a button, then it open
"You want me in here?"
"Yes, so I can removed it"
"Ok" Jack got in and lay down, then it close and Jack close his eyes while Thor work the control panel for a couple of minutes then the door open and jack open his eye when it happen and sat up

"The knowledge is still in you"
"What can't you remove it?"
"The knowledge is to how to operate the weapon, it is noting like before, you are perfectly safe and still can lead a normal life"
"Thanks I think"
"You are most welcome, I must depart and report to the council, they would be most please with this news, once again we are in your dept"
"Sure any time, oh before you beam me out, Sam pregnant" Jack said smiling as he stood up from the chamber
"That is good news O'Neill"
"Thanks" then he was beam back aboard Promethis then they saw Thor ship jump in to hypo space. Jack turn around
"Let's go home"
"Jack what happen?"
"Thor leaving the knowledge in my brain"
"Why, it will kill you?"
"No it won't all it is, is the knowledge to how control the weapon"
"What about the gate address and where the out post are?"
"He could of removed that from me and left the other in here?" he pointed to his temple
"Could be, what did he had to say?"
"It told him what happen, he is please and it seams to be good timing his ship was also became bug central when the energy wave hit"
"What about the planet?"
"Swallowed up by a black hole"
"But then how did they escape?"
"Repercartor ship"
"Ah" they all talk till they were in earth orbit, then they were beams down to the gate room where the SGC person were waiting for them. They look around
"Daddy" came from the kids and they all saw their kids running towards them which made the smile.
They scoop them up in their arms and gave them hugs then their wives walk up to then with the rest of their family. Teal'c was shock when he saw his son, then his wife who was smiling at him. Hey all hug and kiss, then every one cheer them on then they hug the rest of their families. Jack walk up the ramp with grace in his arms, he turned around and raised his hand up and every one went quiet.
"Well this is sure some welcome back, thanks, good news is there is no more bugs, they all been wipe out" every one cheer, then he raised his hand again.
"Good news is that we may be winning this war after all. Ista, Bra'tac when you return, spread the word of our victories over the repcators and hopefully other brothers and sisters will then know the true purpose of freedom for all jaffa" he said smiling, every one clap and cheer them on.
Then Jack walk back down the ramp and shake Bra'tac hand. They all talk and mingle for a while before leaving the gate room. The next day the president read the reports about what has happen and after talking to the chief of staff, and the senators they all agree that a civilian should be in change but who. While they were all talking about whom going to be in change? Jack and Sam also been talking
"Sam"
"Yes Jack" they were lying in bed snuggling in one another arms
"I was thinking about retiring"
"Why?"
"Well now the war is over, why not, I want to spend more time with you guys, I've already miss out on a lot"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes"
"I'll support you all the way Jack you know that"
"I know" they both kiss before falling asleep in one another arm.
The next day they found out that the president, chief of staff and the senators were coming to the SGC the next day, so every one keep busy. Message was sent to the tok'ra for Jacob to have him there when the president arrives. The next day every one showed up in their uniform when Jack and Sam walk into the briefing room when they got their message top side, Sam smile to see who was there
"Dad"
"Sam" they both hug
"Woo, some one been busy" he said smiling as he put his hand over her expanding stomach
"Dad" she was blushing
"Sorry couldn't help it"
"Yeah right"
"Glad you can be here"
"Same here"
"Well we better get down stairs," Jack said
They all walk down to the gate room when it was time. When the president arrived with Hammond and the senators they all stood at attention. Then relax. The president talk about how please he is to be there and hopefully get a change to shake every one hand on job well done. Ten minutes later SG2, 4,6,and eight all received air metals and airmen metal for what they did while stuck on the planet as well it also shown in their records for what they have done in the past.
"Dr Daniel Jackson, please step ford" Every one was shock, so was Daniel, so he step ford.
"In recommission for the oust standing work you have done as a civilian working in top secret place like this in the past eight years. It has been an honour and great private to give you the 'president metal of freedom' and civilian metal of honour' congratulation Dr Jackson" Daniel received his two awards and shook the president hand before return back to his spot.
"Dr Jackson is the first civilian in history to received both award, congratulations" Every one claps and then settles down,
"Major Samantha Carter, please step ford" Sam step ford.
"In recension for the work you have done in the eight years, and receiving both promotion and award few years back, with the work you have accomplish here alone, it amazing" He smile at her
"It has been an honour and privilege to give you the rank of Lieutenant colonel"
While George and Jacob change her oak leaves, the chief of staff read out the letter a then swan her in. when that was done.
"Colonel Carter you also received the 'distinguished service metal' and 'metal of honour', for the work you and your team have done to help get rid of our common enemy and to keep earth safe" then they were pin on her. She saluted him that the chief of staff did in return, then she return back to her stop giving Jack one of her special smiles that he loved.
"Colonel O'Neill please step ford" Jack step ford, stood at attention and saluted the chief of staff which he did in return.
"Colonel from what I heard and read from you, your team and General Hammond, it has given been great honour of promoting you to Brigade General, congratulation General O'Neill" then his bird was replace with a star buy George and Jacob.
