Meanwhile, right outside of Selphia castle, a young dwarf was listening into the conversation after a Rune Stone had fell on his head. He heard a lot of things from Ventuswill, his new enemy after he'd learned she was responsible for his town to be burned to the ground. And the words he heard her say sounded very concerning.

"If the Rune Stones fell in the wrong hands, huh?... What of hers?..." Doug asked himself. "But then... what about this Sechs Empire? They did some dangerous things in the past, especially to Earthmates... if they got a Rune Stone it'd be bad... but those guys that told me of Ventuswill weren't of that empire. They claimed to be from a kingdom ruled by Aquaticus," Doug said to himself. He then looked at his Rune Stone that he had on hand and felt it. Tons of power coming from it. He then decided to look into its essence and saw... a world full of weird creatures that looked more bizarre than the monsters of this world, ranging from gears with eyes, floating ice cream, a sentient pair of keys, and tons of rodents that summoned electricity.

"Whoa... that's a lot of magic... they weren't lying about the strenght of this Rune Stone... I need to protect it with my life," Doug frowned as he then went back to the convenience store and saw that Blossom was asleep in bed, him proceeding to hide his Rune Stone under the floorboards, right underneath of Blossom's cashier station. "Goodnight, grandma... stay safe," Doug said as he then finally fell asleep... and when he did, he heard a voice.

"Goodnight, Doug," said a... little girl's voice? He then opened his eyes and looked all over for the source... nothing. "I'm in your head, unwillingly I might add," the voice said.

"W-Who are you?" Doug asked.

"I am Sally... I'm Lenette's little sister... I guess the force of the spell to bring her here was so great, it also affected everyone in her immediate family... now my brother is conjoined to someone, I'm conjoined to you, and our eldest sister, Nelly, is combined with none other than Ventuswill," she said, which made Doug confused.

"A human combined with a dragon? Hmph, why should I believe you?" Doug asked, but only in thought.

"You don't have to, but I'm begging you, don't hurt Ventuswill... even if she did do that to your village, I don't want to lose my big sis... she's like my mommy, because I never knew my mommy..." Sally said with a sigh.

"I'll think about it... is that good enough?" Doug frowned, him being honest.

"Yes, good enough... and make sure no one knows about the Rune Stone... at least until Lenette gets strong enough to put it where it needs to go," Sally said with seriousness.

"Okay, goodnight then," Doug frowned, him then finally falling asleep... and when that happened, only then was Sally able to materialize from his head as her own self.

"Huh... guess I can only come out when he's sleeping... time to see how far I can go... maybe I can leave a note to Lenette... yeah, I'll do that," Sally smirked as she then left the room and proceeded towards the castle of Selphia... and when she entered the room of Lenette, she gawked at how she couldn't go far enough to reach the middle of the room! So, she had to resort to something else. She wrote a letter supplied from Blossom's store and placed it in Eliza the mailbox, her being able to hear Eliza snoozing... somehow.

"Sweet dreams, miss mailbox... let my sister know that the letter is for her from her sister, please?" Sally asked the mailbox.

"Sg... y-yeah... goodnight..." Eliza said while half asleep.

"Goodnight, Eliza," Sally smiled... and only after Sally left did Eliza realize what happened.

"SHE HEARD ME?!"

When I woke up, it was to the feeling of Fresca shaking me awake, which I didn't appreciate, but it had to be done. Especially since a female butler was standing in front of us and currently sleeping. While standing.

"Is she... sleeping?" Fresca asked.

"Grrgkkk... shhh..." she snored, which sounded adorable. I then clapped in front of her face, which managed to do the trick. "Huh? Oh... are you Fresca and Lenette?" she asked with a tired smile.

"Yes, we are. And who are you, sleepyhead?" I smiled at her.

"Heehee... I'm Clorica, I'm a butler in training under mister Volkanon... he and Ventuswill asked me to let you know to go outside and meet with Vishnal... to get trained in how to farm," she smiled, me nodding as we then did so and Clorica was about to crawl into our bed.

"Nuh-uh, get outta our bed, Clorica," I said.

"O-Oh, sorry, hehe..." she said nervously as she then left our room and went somewhere else, falling asleep and sleepwalking in the process.

"She was going to get into your bed again, wasn't she?" asked the voice of Vishnal, who smiled at us while standing in the fields.

"Yeah... wait... what do you mean 'again'?" Fresca asked in concern.

"She actually prefers that bed to her own... but if she fell asleep in it, she'd never want to wake up," Vishnal smiled.

"Keep an eye on the sleepyhead, got it. And you're Vishnal she said, right?" I smiled.

"Yes, I am. Pleasure to make your aquaintances, Princesses Lenette and Fresca," he smiled.

"Uh... princess? We aren't really royalty, we're just Earthmates," I said.

"Ventuswill told me that Fresca was a princess from another land, and that I may refer to you both as princesses, as you, miss Lenette, are the strongest Earthmate in the world as of now," Vishnal smiled.

"Well, I'm grateful for the compliment, but I'd rather be called princess by my love interests... just call me Lenette or even Lenny," I smiled.

"Okay then, I'll try to remember that. Regardless, let's begin the training," the overachieving butler smiled as we then proceeded to learn how to farm. I found that my muscles needed to get trained just as well as Fresca's, as we needed to learn how to use the hoe, the sickle, the watering can, the axe, the hammer, and he even gave us a fishing rod to learn how to fish at a later date!

"You seem to be getting the hang of it, but you'll need to train up in order to get stronger. With every level you increase in your different fields, you'll gain strength, resilience, stamina, and even Rune Points. If you keep at it for long enough, you'll be able to defeat any foe and harvest any crop," Vishnal smiled at me.

"Thanks, Vishnal. Is there anything else to note before we continue?" I asked with a smile.

"Yes, Lady Ventuswill wished to speak with you both," he said, me nodding as I then went to the throne room with Lenette and we walked around the tall dragoness and she smiled at us.

"Nice to see you're awake and sweaty from the training," Venti smiled at us.

"Yeah, but how does a ghost sweat? That's what I don't get," I admitted, especially since my sweat was going onto the ground and staying there.

"You're a bit more unique than most spirits. You came from another universe, so you're actually both a spirit, but still tied to the mortal coil," Venti smiled at me.

"Gotcha... so what do we do now?" I smiled.

"How about we go introduce ourselves to the other members of the town? And maybe, if we do so, we can learn more about our allies," Fresca smirked.

"Good idea. When you've finished, come back and report to me so I can show you what to do afterwards," Venti smirked, me nodding as me and Fresca then went around the town and introduced ourselves to everyone. And, of course, the two that were the most awkward to speak to were Forte and Margaret because of me being a spirit, but Forte convinced herself I wasn't a spirit because of me being able to be touched by her... she said I was cold and clammy.

"It's because I'm sweaty all over from doing farmwork," I admitted to her.

"Heh, you'll get better at some point," she smiled as everyone seemed interested and friendly to me, but I could also see that Doug looked at me in concern.

"Is something on your mind, Doug?" I asked him, but he looked down and then to the left for a bit before sighing.

"No, but someone is, though," he admitted, which made me confused.

"Huh... you in love with someone?" I smirked.

"No, it's not your concern," he said, him then getting some kind of weird jitter happen after. "OW! Okay, okay! I'll let her know!" he groaned out loud, getting Illuminata and Blossom to look at him in concern. "Rgh... you have a message from someone important to you in the mailbox by the castle. And she's apparently like you, but can only be her own self when I'm asleep," he said, me tilting my head, but nodding all the same.

"Got it, good to know. And nice to meet you, Doug... and girl in Doug's head," I smiled.

"Don't say it like that? It sounds weird," he frowned.

"I'll find out eventually, I'm sure," I smirked as I then went to the castle and spoke with Ventuswill along with Fresca.

"Well, how did it go?" she asked.

"Forte and Margaret were scared of me at first, since they're scared of ghosts. But they stopped being scared when they saw I was not all ghost, and I could still be touched by people. It's just that I can't be touched by materials like dirt, iron, or rock. Basically, anything that's made of a super hard material or bits of it can't touch me, so I can be touched by things like clothes, food, and wood, but I can't hold the watering can whatsoever, so I'll need to be in charge of tilling the fields and be unable to pour out water unless I get a can that's made of plastic," I smirked.

"Um... what's this plastic you speak of?" Venti asked, me looking at her and then at Fresca... before Venti then spoke again.

"It's a type of material where we come from. It's made from synthetically processing oil, gases, or coal into a piece of material that is basically a cheap version of a watering can, able to break if you stepped on it hard enough," said a voice from Venti's mouth that... I felt I recognized, but Ventuswill looked shocked after that.

"What the?! Who was that? Is there someone in control of my body or something?" Venti asked in control.

"Your spell for bringing my sister here was a little too strong, Ventuswill. It also afflicted all the rest of us in the house, and even a neighbor from next-door in the form of Mister Leonard," the voice said, me looking at her in confusion.

"You're... my sister? Trapped in Venti's body?" I asked.

"Yes, I am. But unlike you, I can only come out when Ventuswill is resting or sleeping, which isn't very often, so I managed to get partial control of her mind to speak telepathically... it's not easy, though, especially since she's been trying to push me back when I first arrived in this predicament," she said.

"Um... if you would've said something, I'd have found a solution," Venti said.

"You were kind of busy with your thoughts for a long time, so I couldn't get you to hear me whatsoever... by the way, Lenette, my name is Nelly, and I'm your eldest sister and I acted as your parental figure since our parents passed away three years ago," she smiled.

"Huh... and are there any others around besides you and our neighbor?"

"Yes, there are. Your brother, Jacob is conjoined to Forte and your little sister, Sally is conjoined to Doug. But it seems only Doug has been able to be made aware of his situation, as Forte hasn't slept for a good enough time and she's way stronger than your brother in will," Nelly smirked.

"This is... quite an odd thing... two spirits combined in a single body hasn't happened for over a century, since the heroes of the plant golem of the sea... regardless, how about you go to the request box outside? We're expecting Arthur to arrive in a short time and, when that happens, I'll need you to be up to date with your duties as of current," Venti asked, me and Fresca nodding as we went outside, and we looked at the request box. "Hello, how are you today?" said the voice of Eliza, her sounding a lot like a little girl.

"Doing great, thanks for asking," I smiled at her.

"Wait... you can hear me talk?!" Eliza gawked.

"Is the mailbox talking to us? This is too weird," Fresca admitted.

"Yes, I am. My name is Eliza... man, was it one of you who spoke to me last night? I had someone deliver a letter in me, but I don't know who," she admitted.

"Must've been one of my siblings, then... but then I'll need to see that letter, so may I reach in?" I asked, Eliza responding by coughing out the letter and our first request from Clorica.

"I'll read the request to Fresca while you read your letter," Eliza said, me then doing so and reading the words as they were written.

"Dear Lenny,

I have to tell you some important things. I, Sally, have been conjoined to Doug in spirit and mind and only able to emerge when he falls asleep as of now.

He thinks that Ventuswill was the cause for his original home, friends, and family to have burned to the ground. I'm hoping to convince him otherwise, but we all know how stubborn dwarves are.

I want to meet you in person as soon as possible, so please stay awake a little later than usual tonight so we can talk about who you used to be.

Heart, little Sally."

I couldn't help but smile at her statement at the end, but I knew that I shouldn't read it aloud, so I hid the note in my dress as Fresca then got a piece of furniture to put in our room in the form of a storage bin. And after she placed it to the foot of our bed, we then got a calendar as a reward as well as some princess points, which we then entered the throne room in time to see Arthur was there and finishing his chat with Venti.

"I think I'll take up residence at the library. Until then, I'm grateful for this," Arthur smiled before seeing us. "Ah, and these two must be the ones that will oversee my princely duties as princesses, right?" he smiled.

"Princess? I guess so, since I remember being told of this prior," Fresca admitted. "I may need some guidance in how to be one, since I don't remember too much about my princess life before this," Fresca smiled.

"Ah, so you were a princess prior to your fall and amnesia?" Venti asked with a smile, her guard lowered in front of Arthur.

"She was princess of a town named Sharance, her being the daughter of two halflings, one being a golden wooly mixed with a human and the other a mermaid mixed with elf," I explained, which Venti was surprised by. And so was Fresca, even more so.

"Um... and their names were... Micus... and Tia?" she asked.

"So close... Micah and Pia," I smiled.

"Hey, at least her memory's recovered after that, even if small," Arthur smirked. "Before I head out, let me show you how to issue orders as princesses," Arthur smiled as he showed us the order sign, where he then explained how orders made on it would depend on how the people viewed us, the number of tourists to the town, and how many princess points we had.

"I got it! So if we get more popular, we can give new orders and help the town get better! And it looks like the first order we can issue out is deciding on upcoming festivals. Fun!" Fresca smirked.

"First I must ask. Do we have any idea how to cook? Either of us?" I asked, which Fresca frowned and shook her head no.

"Same to me, because the technology was so advanced where I came from, we could cook things much quicker. So we'll skip the Cooking Contest and instead give out plans for the Bean Throwing Festival," I smiled, us then doing so and, after, we then saw our points decrease after.

"And done! Now we can get prepared for the festival and your popularity will surely increase, and it will also go up for every heroic or cool thing you do, such as completing requests, defeating strong monsters, helping others with their problems, and if you happen to win the contest of the festival," Arthur smiled.

"Sounds like fun, and dangerous for some of them. My kind of lifestyle," I smiled.

"Is that from your previous life?" Fresca asked, me looking at her and sighing and smiling.

"Honestly? I don't know... what do you know, Nelly?" I asked Ventuswill, which Arthur was confused at before I heard my sister speak.

"You were a tomboy through and through, very active and fit, despite playing games all the time. Your favorite game included dancing on arrows to match the rhythm of songs. It is very tiring," she smirked.

"I wonder why that didn't follow you to this world, then?" Venti asked in confusion.

"Maybe because that was my physical body and this is my spirit instead? That might be why," I smirked.

"Good point. Unfortunately, if we were to have brought your physical body along with you, it would've actually harmed the natural cycle of things from the amount of magic we'd need to have used... regardless, we still have some time for you to do things, so why don't you go ahead and explore the outskirts? I'll call for Forte to give you some pointers," Ventuswill smiled, me nodding as we then proceeded to go out of town and we saw that the knightess appeared quickly, her holding a sword out to us.

"You are the two that are now known as our royal princesses, right?" Forte asked.

"Word travels fast in this town, doesn't it?" Fresca smiled.

"Ventuswill is able to connect her mind to others to give out orders, but only to her most devoted protectors... though, if I'll be honest, I didn't expect her true voice to be so... adorable," she admitted.

"She's been keeping up the tough girl act for ages, from what her words have stated yesterday... anyways, yes, we are the princesses in question," I smiled at her.

"Very well, Fresca and Lenette, I was told to give you these items to assist in case you come across monsters in the wild," Forte said as she handed a broadsword to Fresca while handing me a Handbasket, which I smiled at, as it was technically an axe weapon, but it was able to use healing magic and had a ranged attack along with the initial swing. "The handbasket is a mix of normal attack and magic attack and, when your skill level increases for axes, which is what it counts as somehow, it will allow you to heal allies with concentration," she smirked. "As for the broadsword, practice makes perfect and you can buy stronger weaponry from Bado in the future," Forte smirked dutifully.

"We appreciate this, Forte. Stay safe and stay strong," I smiled as I then gave her a salute... which confused all three of us.

"What's that?" Fresca asked.

"Um... it's apparently an army salute? From where I came from, that is..." I admitted.

"So it's a sign of respect?" Forte asked.

"Yes, it is... at least if I remember right. It's hard when most of my memories from my old life are lost to the aether," I admitted.

"I'll try to spread word to others of this salute, then. It sounds very nice... and thanks for the show of respect," Forte smiled at me before then doing a salute herself and then going back to town.

"Kiss up," Fresca smirked at me when Forte was out of earshot.

"Kiss me," I smirked, which Fresca stopped short of picking up some medicinal herbs when I said that, blush forming all over her face. "Yeah, knew that'd get ya," I smirked at her.

"Was that a serious comment? Or was it a joke? Because it's not really something to joke about," Fresca said.

"We're hermaphrodites, right? Both parts? Why would it not be allowed to be with either or?" I smiled at her.

"But we agreed, platonic, right?" she frowned.

"We did. I'm just messing with you," I smiled.

"Well, it's working... whew... but be honest, does anyone in the town strike your fancy?"

"Of the lot, I'd say I'm actually quite fond of Forte for her strength and I also think I might have a crush on Vishnal," I admitted.

"You have a crush on the butler? Well, I'm not one to talk, since I have a crush on Clorica and I think that Kiel looks like my male crush."

"Hehe, I wonder what our female crushes would say if we told them we loved them and all that, despite us being the same gender technically," I smiled.

"It exists in this world, but only for Earthmates... huh, another memory restored! We're on the endangered species list, so we need to mate with anyone we can to raise our numbers back up!" We then finally came across a couple Woolies and Orcs, which I sent out some attacks from the handbasket as well as attacking with magic fireballs, which I saw were offensive to enemies, but they didn't disturb the foliage whatsoever. And we soon leveled up our skills quickly as it reached afternoon, me then pointing to the nearby forest, us then going inside and going to the innards to start trekking through.

"Question, what are we doing in here?" asked Fresca.

"Remember one of the locations Venti mentioned? This is one of the Rune spots we need to find, but before we can find the parcel, we need to rescue the one that's currently powering this place with magic," I said, which Fresca was confused at.

"Rescue? You mean it's a person? How would you know?" Fresca asked. And it was then that I gasped. How did I?

"I don't... I really don't know... really, why would I say that?" I admitted truthfully. Why would the source of the Runes of the forest be a person? Why not a monster or something?

"Maybe you knew more at some point, but it also escaped you?"

"Maybe... who knows? Because I sure don't," I admitted.

"We'll find out shortly," Fresca smirked as we then proceeded to beat up more enemies as well as collect the items found on the ground, along with mining for stones and chopping wood, since we'd need to stock up on lumber and material stone for future endeavors. "We have a material storage rack in the castle that can store over 300 of each of lumber and material stone, from what I was told by Clorica in the letter when she had me place the furniture and the request also spoke about the furniture placed before our arrival... The furniture in question being what I just mentioned, a closet for our clothes, and a calender for marking important dates."

"Cool," I smiled back as we had to get ready... we were coming across a lot of butterflies for some reason, which I could take as a warning for a dangerous foe coming up. And I had to hope we wouldn't be hurting a person in the process...
