Ligerfangs and Minotaurs rushed at the Loki Familia.
Tanya threw multiple feathers and they fell one by one.
Gareth swung his axe at a Ligerfang that got close.
Finn pierced his spear into a Minotaur's head.
Riveria unleashed ice spells that showed down the Ligerfangs and Minotaurs.
Luna grabbed a Minotaur by the horns and slammed it into the floor.
Kuro punched a Ligerfang in the face and sent it crashing to the floor.
Tanya studied the situation and could see that everything was perfectly under control.
The monsters fell one by one until there was no more.
Everyone waited patiently but the monster bait attracted no more monsters.
Tanya smiled, this meant there was no more monster in the area and they could fight Goliath safely.
"Alright everyone, let's fight Goliath."
Everyone cheered and harvested the monsters.
They then moved into the Monster Rex area.
The wall rumbled and Goliath broke out.
It roared and the world seemed to shake.
Tanya stood confidently at the back.
"Just like we planned guys."
Everyone nodded as Goliath stomped towards them.
Finn held back his spear and threw it into Goliath's eye.
The Goliath roared with anger.
Gareth launched his axe into the Goliath's right foot and it slowed.
Kuro and Luna ran towards Goliath.
Tanya formed a pair of golden wings behind her and flew into the air.
Kuro and Luna punched together into Goliath's right leg and it tripped.
The two retrieved Finn's spear and Gareth's axe.
They retreated as the Goliath swung its arms at them.
It missed and the two successfully escaped.
Rivera unleashed a powerful ice magic and froze the Goliath.
Tanya blitzed in and cut the Goliath's skull in half with her sharp wings.
The Goliath stopped moving, meaning it had died.
Kuro and Luna harvested its crystal.
Its body disappeared into dust.
Gareth laughed happily.
"I was expecting this to be more dangerous."
Riveria smiled at their accomplishment.
"It was less than expected for me."
Finn stood proudly.
"Good thing nothing went wrong."
Kuro yawned sleepily.
"I want to sleep back home."
Luna remembered food.
"I want some actual food."
Tanya looked proudly at everyone.
"Thank you all for being here. This wouldn't have been possible without everyone. Now let's go home."
Everyone cheered and climbed back up the floor.
After two days, they returned to the adventurers guild.
They cashed in their crystals and received 1,000,000 Valis.
Although the money excited them, it didn't excite them as to what was going to be their first level-up.
Loki and Tanya had been holding everyone back for seven months so as to not attract too much attention early on.
But now, it was time to shine.
Everyone met up with Loki at the house.
She looked at them with joy and got them to group hug.
Although the chance was small, the chance that her Familia might all die and not make it back haunted her till now.
She updated their status one by one and they were filled with power.
Everyone was now a level 2 adventure.
Luna cheered hungrily.
"Let's go celebrate!"
They all went to a top class restaurant and dined.
Luna spoke while chewing her food.
"You know Kuro, for a backwater civilization, this place does sure have some good food."
Kuro shrugged his shoulder.
"I mean, the food tasted pretty good when we were pirates."
Luna beamed at a fond memory.
"Oh yeah."
Tanya looked at Rivera.
"How good is your magic now?"
Rivera smiled gently.
"I believe I should have the firepower of at least a level 3."
Gareth wondered what Finn was going to buy with the money today."
"Finn, what are you planning to buy with the money today?"
Finn smiled thoughtfully.
"Since I'm a level 2 now, I believe I'll need a better spear."
Gareth became thoughtful at Finn's words.
"Huh, I guess I'll also need better gear."
Loki smiled at what she heard.
"Then it's decided, let's go shopping tomorrow everyone!"
Time passed and everyone returned home.
At night, Tanya sat on the rooftop looking up at the stars.
Her memories of her first and second life seemed so long ago.
Currently without a doubt, this third life of hers was the best one.
Loki tried to climb onto the roof but couldn't.
"A little help please Tanya."
Tanya pulled Loki up with a smile.
The two looked up at the stars together.
When Tanya had first met Loki, Tanya had only planned on using her.
But now, they could be called something akin to family.
Loki glanced at Tanya.
"What are you thinking about."
Tanya gave a smile.
"Thinking about how great life is right now."
Loki smiled at that and remembered her first day with Tanya.
"Ever wondered what would have happened if we hadn't met?"
Tanya thought about it and gave her honest opinion.
"I'd probably be out in the country side farming. As for you, you'd probably running from debt collectors right now."
Loki laughed at that, her days of running from debt collectors seemed so long ago.
She wondered if anyone ever found the two debt collectors Tanya killed.
Well, it didn't matter.
"Tanya, I'm glad to have met you, thank you for being here."
Tanya eyes widened with a small surprise.
"Never thought I'd hear a god say that, but thank you. I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for your help."
Loki laid her head on Tanya's shoulder.
To her surprise, Tanya didn't push her away.
Tanya knew what Loki was doing but appreciated the warmth.
"Only for tonight."
Loki smiled at that.
"Then I better enjoy it while I can."
