With Temari, she infiltrated Kiri. Being an anbu captain and traveling to The Land of Water on numerous occasions had its uses. She had to make her way to the Mizukage tower.
She thought back to the annoying silver haired man. 'What would posses him to fight all 7 of the swordsmen at once?'she thought incredulously.
Fighting one was damn near a death sentence but all 7 was just asking for it. She had heard of the Hatake Clan and their prideful nature. Sakumo Hatake for example was said to be stronger than all 3 Sannin combined. Never ran from a battle, until his last.
She heard rumors about the mission to the Land of Water and the encounter with the 7 swordsmen. He, Tsunade Senju and Dan Kato were ambushed and barely escaped with Dan dying later from injuries.
She then tried to put the pieces together as to why Naruto wanted to go fight them. 'To avenge his father?'she guessed. She shook off those thoughts as she reached the tower.
Sensing multiple anbu operatives, she had to create a diversion. Mustering up her most powerful genjutsu, she casted it upon everyone within the tower and surrounding it. She was slightly winded due to the amount of chakra it took to pull the illusion off.
The allusion made everyone believe that they were under attack. Seconds later, multiple anbu dispersed out of the building, 'most likely going to find out what happened' she thought. She quickly made her way to the Mizukage's office and found no one in there.
"Quite an interesting tactic. Distracting my anbu with a genjutsu, which was very impressive might i add. But I've had multiple assassination attempts on me while I have been in office, by a lot stronger.
But you won't get the chance to correct your mistake, you're going to die here "The Mizukage said with a chuckle. He went through hand signs and spewed out a stream of water that blew a hole through a wall in the office. He then leaped out.
Without hesitation, she followed suit. She chased after the man until he came to a stop near a lake outside of the village. Without a second thought, she drew her fan and swung a massive gust of wind at him.
The effect of the jutsu caused water to rise up as well. The man simply created a waterwall to nullify her technique. "I'm awfully disappointed in you. You have quite the aura and chakra but yet you choose not to show me your strength.
Why's that?" The Mizukage asked with a frown. "I don't answer to you. You pathetic excuse for a Kage"she spat venomously. He narrowed his eyes at that. "Very well" was all he said before multiple anbu decided to make their presence known.
They all surrounded her as she readied herself. "Foolish woman. You attempted to assassinate a Kage and then followed him onto his own turf? Just how in the hell did you become anbu?"he asked.
"By this"she said as he rose her arms and iron sand formed behind her? The sand shot towards an anbu member at high speeds, piercing through their chest. All of the other shinobi jumped back and the Mizukage narrowed his eyes.
"Kekkei genkai huh? Now you've given me more of a reason to kill you"he said. He ushered his shinobi forward and they pulled out their tantos and attacked. She flawlessly dodged and blocked the swipes.
As she ducked under a kick, sand clamped around the leg and crushed it immediately. The anbu screamed out in pain as she kicked him away. She then swung her closed fan, battering another 2 in the process.
She didn't even turn around as the iron sand formed a protective wall over her as a water dragon came crashing down.
Said sand then wrapped around the full body of an anbu and she squeezed her hand as it crushed the member. She didn't have time to block the kick that crashed into her gut. She flew back several meters and crashed into the water.
She didn't have time to rest as the water rose from around her and formed a giant drill. It sailed down upon her as she moved out of the way just in time. She went through hand signs.
'Water style raging water wave' she said as a giant wave of water sailed towards the Kage and his remaining anbu. All but one dodged the attack. She wasted no time as she guided her sand to crush the remaining ninja.
She used her fan to negate another water dragon coming for her. She began to pant heavily. She didn't take into account the anbu members being this much of a pain in the ass.
Noting that there were only 3 anbu plus the Kage left, she decided to do something drastic. She called upon all of her iron sand and submerged the battle field. The sand grabbed ahold of the shinobi's legs as she closed her fist and crushed them.
There were screams of agony as their limbs were rendered useless. She fell on both knees as she panted heavily. That attack drained her. Controlling that much iron was a daunting task.
She was not at the level of her father yet. She didn't even get the chance to react as the Mizukage smashed a fist into her face. Shattering the mask in the process. "You disgusting bloodline user.
And what's worse is that you're the daughter of that man. That idiotic man. I'll send him my thanks in the form of your corpse" he said laughing sadistically. She was spent. Too tired to move.
She just waited for her inevitable death. The man pulled out a katana and ascended upon her. She closed her eyes and braced for impact but before it happened she heard the sound of metal clashing.
Barely managing to open her eyes, she managed to make out the figure of her savior. 'Naruto?' she thought. "Now, now i can't let you kill her Mizukage Sama" said Naruto. The man narrowed his eyes at the newcomer.
"Hatake! What the hell are you doing here?"he asked with a snarl. "Oh you know, just in the neighborhood. There is a war going on right?"asked Naruto sarcastically.
"You've made a grave mistake boy. You'll die along with her" he replied. "Mmm how about no. I came for your 7 little bitches but they aren't here. And since I am still pissed off, I'll just settle for you" said Naruto.
Without warning, Naruto flared his chakra and the ground under him exploded. The Mizukage didn't get the chance to react as Naruto decked him with a kick. The man sailed into through a tree.
Naruto was on him in an instant. He picked the man up by the throat and tried to strangle him. He was a fair bit taller than the man so his feet swung. The Mizukage formed a water whip with one hand and tired to hit Naruto but Naruto shrouded himself in lightning, shocking the man in the process.
He then threw the man towards the nearby lake. He then pulled out his chakra sword and coated it in fire. He slowly started to walk towards the downed kage.
But before he reached him, he was surrounded by more Mist shinobi. "Mizukage Sama, we will end this intruder along with his assailant. You need to be treated for your wounds" said one shinobi. "Make sure you bring his head to me, along with that sand woman"he replied. They nodded as he was helped off of the battle field.
Turning their attention to Naruto, they heard him chuckle. "Your kage is really pathetic. Running away from a battle during a world war. And let me ask you something. If your Mizukage can't defeat me, what makes you fools can?"he asked.
Nobody answered. Naruto then got an idea. He wanted to save this for the swordsmen but alas, luck was never on his side. He went through hand signs as the shinobi tensed. He slammed his hands on the ground as a coffin rose up.
The shinobi were confused. As was Temari, who was slowly regaining consciousness. He smirked as the lid dropped. A collective gasp could be heard. Out walked a man who was thought to be dead for many years.
"I-impossible!" "Lord Second!" "Mizukage Sama!" Were all heard throughout the battle field. The man had blonde hair, pale skin and wore a light blue cloak.
This man was the most powerful Mizukage of all time. The man looked around, confused at his predicament. He could've sworn he was dead. "This is the jutsu of Tobirama Senju. I suspect he was the one behind this"he spoke in an authoritative tone.
"Not quite Gengetsu. Although i am a distant relative of him" came the reply of a voice behind him. He turned around and came face to face with a silver haired man. "Who are you and what is the meaning of this?" asked Gengetsu.
"Well for one I am Naruto Hatake and to answer your other question, we are currently in the Third Great Shinobi War"he replied carelessly. "Another war huh? I expected as such. Let me guess, Iwa started it?" he asked.
"Of course not Mizukage Sama, those tree hugging bastards did!"said one shinobi. Naruto simply activated his control over the Kage and he watched as the man seemingly went robotic and slashed through the remaining shinobi.
Attacks were useless against the dead man because he just kept regenerating. Seeing as there was only one shinobi left, he put a halt to Gengetsu. He walked up to the now fearful shinobi and patted him on the cheek.
"Do me a favor. I let you live you owe me that much" said Naruto. Seeing the man shakily nod, Naruto spoke again. "Tell everyone of what you seen today. Make sure everybody hears it loud and clear. I'm looking forward to many more foes in my future" the man nodded as he took off.
Jiraiya and Orochimaru made it back to Konoha and reported to Hiruzen. "You know that this just made Kumo an enemy of ours rather than an ally?"he asked sarcastically. "It couldn't be helped.
He attacked us first" said Jiraiya. "But still, Kumo is down a jinchuriki and when they found out that it was the work of the leaf, they'll make it a priority to get to Kushina as they did all those years ago"spoke Hiruzen.
"I'll make sure they don't come anywhere near her although I'm confident enough in her abilities"replied Jiraiya.
"I bid both of you a farewell. I'm going back to my own devices" replied the snake. Once he left, Hiruzen gained a sad expression on his face.
Seeing this, Jiraiya was curious. "What's up sensei?". "You need to go check on the boys"he said. Knowing who he was referring to, he nodded and jumped out of the window.
