Chapter 6 - I'll Protect My Friends
As Naruto and his friends raced towards the underworld entrance, a sudden wave of memories washed over him. during the Fourth Shinobi War. It was as if time itself had slowed, and he found himself reliving a conversation from the past a conversation with Itachi Uchiha.
The moon cast a soft glow on the memories that unfolded within Naruto's mind. The words Itachi had spoken echoed once more, a haunting reminder of the wisdom shared by the enigmatic Uchiha.
"No matter how powerful you become, don't try to shoulder everything alone. If you do, you will surely fail," Itachi's voice resonated in Naruto's memory. The image of Itachi with his piercing sharingan eyes watching him played vividly in his mind.
The weight of the responsibility he had always carried, the burden of facing threats alone, felt palpable. Itachi's cautionary words about avoiding the path of Madara Uchiha lingered, casting a shadow over Naruto's thoughts.
"Becoming Hokage doesn't mean people will acknowledge you. But when people acknowledge you, you become Hokage. Never forget your friends," Itachi's advice floated through the recesses of Naruto's mind. The moonlit scene transformed into a mental landscape where the profound truth of those words unfolded.
Even within this mental realm, Kurama, chimed in. "Even if Itachi was an Uchiha, he still was one of the best shinobi the village has ever seen."
Naruto took his time to respond, his words carrying the weight of reflection. "Yeah, Itachi was a true hero of the leaf. I'll never forget my friends." A nervous chuckle escaped him, briefly breaking the solemnity of the moment. "It's just a shame we both died by Sasuke's hands."
Kurama, unimpressed, delivered a truth. "Because you were too soft, Naruto."
Naruto's eyes widened, and he looked at the ground sadly before speaking with a newfound resolve. "I know… I've learned my lesson. I won't show mercy to any kind of betrayal again. I'll protect my friends. No matter what."
The flashback memory, filled with echoes of wisdom and self-discovery, faded away as Naruto continued walking down a dimly lit alley, a group of menacing boys closed in on Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Naruto. Sensing danger, the four friends quickly decided to escape the brewing confrontation and ducked into a waterbed store. The doorbell jingled as they entered, and a salesclerk, with an oddly cheerful demeanour, welcomed them.
"Hey there, folks! Name's Crusty. You look like you could use a break. Why not try out one of our comfy waterbeds? On the house, of course!" Crusty gestured towards rows of waterbeds lined up in the store.
Annabeth and Grover, enticed by the idea of a moment's respite, decided to take Crusty up on his offer and reclined on the beds. However, the seemingly friendly atmosphere took a dark turn as ropes suddenly shot out, ensnaring Annabeth and Grover, binding them tightly to the beds.
The smiling façade of Crusty faded away, revealing his identity – Procrustes, the Stretcher, a figure from ancient Greek mythology notorious for forcing his victims to fit his iron bed by stretching them or amputating their limbs.
Naruto, quick to react, saw the danger his friends were in. Seizing the opportunity, he distracted Procrustes by transforming into Procrustes himself. The sudden appearance of seeing himself caught Procrustes off guard, giving Percy the opening, he needed.
With Procrustes momentarily distracted, Percy swiftly pushed him onto the bed trapping him with the ropes and drew Riptide, the celestial bronze sword. The blade glinted in the dim light as Percy approached Procrustes.
Percy, with determination in his eyes, faced off against Procrustes while Naruto worked swiftly to free Annabeth and Grover from the tight bonds that held them captive.
Naruto's nimble fingers deftly manipulated the ropes, unravelling the knots that bound Annabeth and Grover to the waterbeds. However, one stubborn strand resisted Naruto's efforts. With a quick motion, he unsheathed a three pronged kunai from his pouch, its gleaming edge catching the dim light.
As the kunai sliced through the remaining rope, freeing Annabeth and Grover, Naruto's precision and agility were on full display. The liberated duo sat up, relief washing over their faces. Annabeth brushed a strand of hair from her face, her gray eyes filled with gratitude.
"Thanks, Naruto," Annabeth said with a nod, her voice reflecting a mixture of relief and admiration.
Grover, always quick with a light hearted comment, chimed in, "Yeah, man, you've got some serious ninja skills. We owe you one."
Naruto grinned, acknowledging their thanks. "No problem, guys. We need to stick together."
As Naruto assisted Annabeth and Grover to their feet, Percy, with a swift stroke of Riptide, vanquished Procrustes. The once threatening figure crumbled into golden dust, dissipating into the air.
The scene left an indelible impact on the trio. Annabeth, while grateful for their rescue, couldn't help but feel a shiver run down her spine at the sight of Percy taking a life, even one as sinister as Procrustes.
Naruto, sensing the tension, stepped forward. "Some people are meant to be killed," he said, his voice calm but firm. "It's how the world works. It won't be the last time I kill, and it won't be the last time Percy does either."
Annabeth, though still uneasy, nodded in reluctant acknowledgment, understanding the harsh reality they faced.
Their attention shifted as Annabeth noticed a flyer on a bulletin board nearby. She approached it and saw the details for the DOA Recording Studio the exact address for the entrance to the Underworld.
"Guys, look at this," Annabeth exclaimed, pointing to the flyer. "The Underworld entrance is at the DOA Recording Studio. We've got our next destination."
The revelation spurred a renewed sense of purpose among the group. With the knowledge of the Underworld entrance, they prepared to face the challenges that lay ahead, the memory of their encounter with Procrustes etched into their minds as a grim reminder of the dangers they faced on their quest.
The taxi pulled up to the recording studio, and the quartet—Naruto, Annabeth, Percy, and Grover stepped out onto the pavement. The imposing structure of the DOA Recording Studio loomed before them, and they made their way to the entrance. Standing guard was a formidable-looking security guard named Charon.
"Entrance fee, drachmas only," Charon grumbled, extending his hand expectantly.
Percy, ever resourceful, handed him a handful of drachmas he had acquired from Crusty's office. Charon squinted at the coins, clearly dissatisfied with the amount.
"Not enough," Charon grunted, crossing his arms.
Before tensions could escalate, Charon's expression changed as he recognized Percy, Naruto, and Annabeth for what they truly were godlings with divine parentage. Naruto, in a diplomatic move, produced a bag full of drachmas.
"I believe this should cover it, and more," Naruto said with a confident smile. "Consider it a token of appreciation. I'll make sure to put in a good word with Hades about getting you a proper raise."
Charon's eyes widened, and a hesitant grin appeared on his face. "A raise, you say. Well, in that case, welcome. Go on through."
The group approached one of the three entrances adorned with metal detectors and security cameras. However, their path was blocked by Cerberus, a massive three-headed security Rottweiler. Percy attempted to distract the fearsome creature with a bedpost taken from Crusty's, but Cerberus remained uninterested.
Undeterred, Annabeth, quick-thinking as ever, pulled out a ball she had taken from the waterpark. With a commanding voice, she ordered Cerberus to sit. The three-headed guard dog obediently followed the command, allowing Naruto, Percy, and Grover to sneak past him.
As they moved toward the metal detectors, their magical items triggered the alarms. The trio dashed through the security line, setting off the metal detectors and prompting the attention of the security guards.
"Run!" Percy yelled as they sprinted through the complex, leaving the confused security guards in their wake. The adventure at the DOA Recording Studio had only just begun, and the group hurriedly pressed forward.
The journey toward the House of Hades continued, the air heavy with an unspoken tension. Grover, sporting the flying shoes that were a gift from Percy, suddenly found himself airborne. The enchanted footwear whisked him toward the ominous pit from Percy's haunting dream. Naruto, Percy, and Annabeth hurriedly chased after him.
Just as the shoes slipped off Grover's hooves, the trio caught up, preventing a descent into the mysterious pit. As they caught their breath, Percy, feeling a peculiar weight in his backpack, discovered an unsettling secret. The pit before them, a whispering entrance to the stormy depths of Tartarus, seemed to beckon with an eerie allure.
Naruto, ever attuned to the unseen, cast a wary glance at the pit. Something stirred beneath, and a sense of foreboding hung in the air. The quartet, their instincts tingling with unease, decided it was best to flee the tempting abyss.
Continuing their journey, they finally reached the House of Hades, where the lord of the Underworld awaited. Hades, a figure of imposing darkness.
The confrontation with Hades unfolded in the oppressive atmosphere of the Underworld. As Hades accused Percy of stealing both the master bolt and his Helm of Darkness, the god's ominous presence filled the room.
Naruto, his usual irreverence shining through, quipped, "Well, the underworld does seem very empty, doesn't it?" The comment earned him a sharp and irritated glance from the lord of the Underworld.
Percy, his tone defiant, denied the accusations vehemently, "I didn't steal anything from you, Hades! I don't have your Helm or the master bolt!"
Hades, unmoved, issued a chilling warning, "If my helm isn't returned, I will unleash the dead back into the world, and start a war " Hades said.
Percy, his tone defiant, denied the accusations vehemently, "I didn't steal anything from you, Hades! I don't have your Helm or the master bolt!", growing frustrated, Percy took a step forward. "We have no reason to start a war. Someone wants to see the gods tear each other apart, and they're using us to do it. We're demigods, not pawns."
Hades, acknowledging the gravity of Percy's words, shifted his focus. "Son of Artemis, tell me more about this scheme. Who would be audacious enough to manipulate the likes of you?"
Addressing Hades, Naruto spoke with an edge, "Someone's trying to start a war between the gods. Any idea who it might be, Lord of the Underworld? "
Hades, acknowledging Naruto as the Son of Artemis, a title that carried weight, listened as Percy continued, "The only person with a grudge big enough to last so long is Kronos."
Annabeth, the voice of reason, elaborated on the possibility, "It's a dangerous possibility, but Percy has been having dreams. Kronos has been talking to him." Percy recounted the dreams he had been plagued with, the voice of Kronos whispering dark promises and sowing the seeds of discord. Annabeth, ever the strategist, filled in the details, connecting the dots between the thefts and the potential resurrection of the Titan lord.
As the demigods unfolded the narrative of their quest, the cavern echoed with intense discussions, accusations, and warnings. The looming threat of war cast a shadow over their every word.
Hades, now intrigued, leaned forward. "Kronos? The Titan of Time, my father, A bold move indeed. If what you say is true, and the Titans are behind this, then the threads of fate are being pulled by ancient hands."
Before they could delve further into the mysterious machinations of the gods, Hades issued a chilling ultimatum that hung in the air like a heavy cloud. The fate of Percy's mother was thrust into the balance, her image encapsulated in a ball of gold fire. Percy, feeling the weight of his decisions, clenched his fists, torn between duty and the profound love he held for his family.
Hades' dark eyes bore into Percy's as he delivered the haunting words, "Give me the master bolt, or your mother's fate will be sealed."
"Master bolt? You only wanted your helm back before, now you want the master bolt, why?" Naruto said putting his guard up, alerting Kurama that he might need his help. Hades replied with a slight laugh. "If war is coming I need a weapon for protection, with my helm the next best thing is my brothers master bolt " He said walking closer to the group.
Naruto, ever the stalwart companion, sensed Percy's inner turmoil. Placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder, he spoke with determination, "We're in this together, Percy. Let's go, and we'll face whatever comes our way."
As Percy reached for the pearls, the magical lifelines that could transport them away from the Underworld, the cruel reality set in only four pearls meant choices had to be made. Annabeth, her gaze filled with understanding, spoke softly, "Percy, we have to be strategic. We can't save everyone, but we can still make a difference."
Grover, the usually jovial satyr, added with a sombre tone, "Sometimes sacrifices have to be made for the greater good, Percy."
With a heavy heart, Percy nodded, the weight of responsibility settling on his shoulders. "I know. Let's do this. Hades, I'm not giving you the bolt, but I'll be back with your helm to free my mother, I promise." Percy said as the demigods used the pearls to escape the clutches of the Underworld, leaving Hades with the stolen master bolt. As they emerged in Santa Monica, the realization of the challenges ahead and the impending confrontation with the Titans settled over them like a storm on the horizon. Hades' parting words lingered, a cryptic acknowledgment of the path they had chosen.
"Beware, Demigods, Beware " Hades' voice echoed, an ominous promise that added another layer of complexity to their quest.
The four found themselves plunged into the ocean at Santa Monica, determined not only to return the stolen master bolt but also to confront the god who had deceived them. As they stepped onto the beach, a waiting figure emerged Ares, the god of war.
Naruto, his usual irreverence cutting through the tension, quipped, "Well, well, if it isn't the god of war himself. Couldn't find a better hobby, huh?"
Ares, the imposing figure, merely grinned, acknowledging the presence of the demigods before him. Percy, fuelled by a mix of frustration and determination, stepped forward. "We know you're involved in the theft of the master bolt and the Helm of Darkness. What's your game, Ares?"
The god of war, with a cocky demeanour, admitted to his role in orchestrating the theft. "I didn't steal them personally, you see. Gods can't take each other's symbols of power directly. But I found a way around it, through someone else."
Annabeth, her scepticism evident, questioned, "Why would you go to such lengths for a war?"
Ares chuckled, his eyes glinting with mischief. "War is my domain, sweetheart. Chaos, destruction, the sweet sound of clashing blades it's all music to my ears. I framed Percy to incite a three-way war between Poseidon, Zeus, and Hades. Perfect chaos."
Percy, his frustration bubbling to the surface, demanded answers, "Who did you use to steal the bolt and the helm? And why frame me?"
Ares leaned in, a sinister smile playing on his lips. "Riptide's magic was used on your backpack. The bolt would appear once you entered the Underworld. Now that you still have it, Percy, you must die. I can't have it returning to Zeus."
Before Percy could agree to the fight, Naruto stepped in, his expression resolute. "Hold on a sec," he said, raising a hand, "I owe Ares a beatdown for disrespecting my mother."
Ares, intrigued by the interruption, raised an eyebrow. "Your mother? I don't recall offending her lately."
Naruto's eyes narrowed, and a smirk played on his lips. "Artemis, the goddess of the Moon. you insulted her at the diner. Disrespecting her is a big no-no."
As Naruto walked towards Ares, the beach seemed to stretch infinitely before him. The rhythmic crash of the waves provided a backdrop to the internal conversation he was about to have with Kurama. Closing his eyes for a brief moment, he entered the mindscape where he communed with the Nine Tails.
"Kurama," Naruto began, the mental landscape taking on a vivid, ethereal quality.
The fox spirit's eyes glowed with an otherworldly light as he regarded Naruto. "What's on your mind, kit?"
Naruto's mind swirled with a blend of determination and caution. "Facing a god... it's a whole new level, huh?"
Kurama, the ancient being within him, nodded solemnly, recognizing the gravity of the impending confrontation. "Indeed. Gods exist on a different plane, and glimpsing their true forms can prove fatal to demigods."
Exhaling audibly, Naruto continued, "Yeah, but you mentioned something about me having a divine form."
Kurama's demeanor shifted to one of gravity, his eyes conveying the weight of the information he was about to share. "You carry the essence of Artemis within you. Your connection to her grants you a unique infusion of divine energy, interwoven with Six Paths. The sight of gods in their true forms won't harm you."
A sense of reassurance washed over Naruto. "That's good to know. But taking on Ares... it's not just about protecting myself; we can't use any divine forms. My friends are here," Naruto added, glancing back and catching the worried expressions etched on the faces of Percy, Annabeth, and Grover.
He turned back to Kurama, his eyes reflecting a mix of determination and concern. "This may sound selfish, but it's also about standing up for my mom."
Kurama's eyes softened, understanding the depth of Naruto's resolve. "Your mother is a goddess of great strength and dignity. Defending her honour is a noble cause, kit."
As Naruto braced himself for the impending clash with Ares, the complexities of the situation weighed heavily on him. The dichotomy of mortal vulnerability and divine lineage created a unique conundrum. Yet, fuelled by the essence of Artemis and the camaraderie of his friends, Naruto steeled himself for a confrontation that transcended personal stakes – a battle that would ripple through the fabric of divine destiny.
Naruto reached into his pouch and pulled out a set of kunai knives adorned with the Moons symbol.
Ares, intrigued by Naruto's preparations, chuckled, "Planning to throw little knives at a god? How adorable."
OST – My Name
Naruto grinned, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Not exactly. These are special kunai, a gift from old world. Watch closely."
With swift and practiced movements, Naruto tossed the kunai knives in strategic locations across the beach. As each kunai embedded itself into the sand, a shimmering, transparent marking appeared at its location.
"Now, let's dance, Ares," Naruto taunted, his eyes focused.
Using the Flying Thunder God Technique, a technique he learnt in his past life, Naruto could teleport instantly to any marked location on the beach by touching one of the kunai. The advantage was now his, as he disappeared and reappeared with unparalleled speed.
Ares, initially amused, soon found himself facing a whirlwind of movement. Naruto teleported around him, striking with precise and rapid attacks, leaving the god of war momentarily disoriented.
"Is this the best you can do, godling?" Ares roared, trying to track Naruto's movements.
Naruto's voice echoed from different corners of the beach, "Just getting started, Ares!"
The beach became a stage for a high-speed dance of combat, with Naruto using Minato's kunai to teleport, creating afterimages that confounded the god of war. Each strike was calculated, a testament to the legacy of the son of Artemis.
As the battle unfolded, Naruto's determination and agility, combined with the teleportation technique, proved to be a formidable challenge for Ares. The kunai laden beach turned into a battlefield where mortal cunning faced divine might.

Ares, initially amused, soon found himself facing a whirlwind of movement. Naruto teleported around him, striking with precise and rapid attacks, leaving the god of war momentarily disoriented.
Percy, Annabeth, and Grover stood at the sidelines, their eyes wide with a mix of awe and concern. Percy couldn't help but mutter, "When did he become so agile?"
Annabeth, her analytical mind racing, observed, "Those kunai are allowing him to teleport. It's like a mix of shadow clone jutsu and his Flying Thunder God Technique."
The two boys exchanged puzzled glances, prompting Annabeth to step in with an explanation. "Naruto told me what it was called when I watched him train sometime," she clarified, watching as comprehension dawned on their faces. The boys nodded in acknowledgment, the shared connection with Naruto serving as a subtle bond between them.
Grover, usually light-hearted, added with a hint of nervousness, "I hope he knows what he's doing. A god is still a god, no matter the tricks."
As the battle continued, Naruto's voice echoed from different corners of the beach, "Just getting started, Ares!"
Percy, always eager for a fight, couldn't help but grin, "That's the spirit, Naruto!"
Annabeth, her eyes scanning the unfolding spectacle, noted, "He's using strategy and speed against Ares. It might just work."
Grover, tapping his hoof anxiously, muttered, "I hope Ares doesn't decide to step up his game. Gods can be unpredictable."
The kunai-laden beach turned into a battlefield where mortal cunning faced divine might. The reactions of Percy, Annabeth, and Grover mirrored the intensity of the clash, a mixture of admiration for Naruto's skills and a lingering concern for the unpredictable nature of a god.
Percy felt the urge to join in. The excitement of battle surged within him, and he took a step forward, ready to leap into the fray.
Annabeth, however, placed a firm hand on Percy's shoulder, stopping him in his tracks. "Not yet, Percy," she advised, her eyes fixed on the unfolding battle. "Let Naruto wear him down. Ares might be a god, but Naruto has almost unlimited stamina. Let them feel each other out first."
Percy, torn between the desire to fight and Annabeth's strategic advice, grumbled, "I can take him, Annabeth. I've fought gods before."
Annabeth shot him a knowing look. "And you'll fight more gods in the future, Percy. But sometimes, letting someone else take the lead can be the smarter move. Naruto knows what he's doing."
Grover, nervously watching the battle, chimed in, "Yeah, Percy, Annabeth is right. Let Naruto handle this for now. We can jump in if things get too dicey."
Reluctantly, Percy nodded, realizing the wisdom in Annabeth's words. He took a step back, eyes fixed on Naruto's agile movements. The beach became a dynamic arena where mortal cunning clashed with divine might.
As the battle continued, Annabeth's strategic insight proved crucial. The trio observed the unfolding spectacle, ready to jump in if Naruto needed assistance or if Ares decided to escalate the fight. The tension on the beach mirrored the internal conflict within Percy, torn between the desire to fight and the wisdom of waiting for the opportune moment.
In Olympus, the gods were gathered in the opulent throne room, their attention drawn to a shimmering Iris message that displayed the battle between Naruto and Ares on the mortal beach. The divine beings, lounging on golden thrones, observed the unfolding clash between mortal and god with a mix of curiosity and concern.
Zeus, the king of the gods, leaned forward on his majestic throne, his eyes fixed on the Iris image. "What is this? A mortal challenging Ares?"
Hera, ever regal, remarked, "It seems the affairs of mortals have taken an interesting turn. A godling with remarkable agility."
Athena, with her sharp intellect, analysed the situation. "That's the son of Artemis, Naruto. He possesses unique abilities and a connection to his divine parent. It's an intriguing display of mortal ingenuity."
Poseidon, leaning on his trident, couldn't help but comment, "He fights well for a demigod. The sea approves."
Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, who had been quietly observing, spoke with a mix of pride and concern, "Naruto, my son, engaging Ares in battle. His courage knows no bounds."
Hermes, the messenger of the gods, added with a mischievous grin, "I wonder if he knows what he's gotten himself into. Ares doesn't take kindly to challenges."
As the gods continued to observe the battle, Apollo, spoke with a cryptic tone, "There is more to this than meets the eye. Mortals and gods entwined in a dance of fate. This could have far-reaching consequences."
Aphrodite, with a playful smile, mused, "Love and war, my darlings. Mortals always find a way to make things interesting."
The Iris image continued to project the dynamic clash on the mortal beach, and the gods of Olympus watched with a mixture of amusement, pride, and anticipation. The outcome of Naruto's bold challenge to Ares remained uncertain, and the affairs of both love and war held the attention of the divine assembly.
As the gods of Olympus continued to observe the battle between Naruto and Ares through the Iris message, Artemis, the goddess of the hunt and Naruto's mother, couldn't hide her concern. She spoke with a voice that echoed through the divine chamber, a blend of motherly worry and pride.
"Naruto, my son," Artemis began, her ethereal presence filling the room. "Bravery courses through your veins, and your determination is evident in this clash. Yet, Ares is a god of war, and the challenges he poses are formidable."
She glanced at the other gods, her silver eyes shimmering with a mix of emotions. "This mortal, born of both my essence, faces a perilous path. The battleground between gods and mortals is treacherous."
Artemis, known for her wisdom, continued, "But, my son, your spirit is unyielding. Your connection to the moon and the hunt runs deep within you. May the essence of the wilderness guide and protect you in this confrontation."
With a gaze that conveyed both love and concern, Artemis addressed the divine assembly, "As the goddess of the hunt and the moon, I bestow my blessing upon Naruto. May the stars illuminate his path, and may the moonlight grant him strength."
Even in the realm of the divine, where words carried the weight of destiny, Artemis couldn't completely conceal the maternal worry for her son engaged in a battle with a god. Her blessing, however, resonated with a powerful energy, infusing Naruto with the essence of the moon and the wilderness as he continued to face Ares on the mortal beach.
As the gods of Olympus continued to observe the unfolding battle between Naruto and Ares, the atmosphere in the divine chamber grew tense. Zeus, the king of the gods, couldn't hide his displeasure. The thunderclouds gathered around his throne, crackling with restrained lightning.
"I know you didn't break your oath, but his existence alone is dangerous for Olympus," Zeus said, revealing his paranoid demeanour.
Hera, sensing her husband's displeasure, cast a concerned glance in his direction. Zeus, aware of Artemis being his favourite among the goddesses, downplayed his anger. "Artemis, your son has embarked on a reckless endeavour. Joining a quest he had no part in."
Artemis, standing tall with a mixture of concern and pride, addressed Zeus with respect, "Father, Naruto's actions are driven by his courage and determination. He seeks to defend and prove himself in the face of divine challenges."
Zeus, although still displeased, nodded slightly. "Very well, Artemis. But Naruto will be judged accordingly." Before the tension could escalate further, the goddess Hestia entered the chamber, her presence radiating warmth and calm. "My siblings, let us not be too hasty in judgment," she spoke gently.
Zeus, suppressing his anger, looked at Hestia with a raised eyebrow. "Explain, sister."
Hestia, the gentle and nurturing goddess of the hearth, continued, "Naruto is unique, a blend of divine essences that makes him stand apart. Born of Artemis's essence of the moon, while from realm, his courage is fuelled by a combination of mortal resilience and divine strength."
Artemis nodded in agreement. "Naruto carries the essence of both the hunt and the wilderness within him. He is a bridge between the mortal and divine realms."
Zeus, though still displeased, considered Hestia's words. "Unique indeed. But challenges to the divine order cannot be ignored."
Hestia, with a serene smile, suggested, "Perhaps there is more to Naruto's destiny than we realize. Let us observe and consider the threads of fate that intertwine around him."
As the gods contemplated Naruto's unique existence, the divine chamber held a delicate balance between Zeus's displeasure and Hestia's calming influence. The fate of the mortal who dared challenge a god remained uncertain, wrapped in the threads of destiny that the gods themselves were compelled to weave.
As Naruto continued his high-speed dance of combat with Ares on the mortal beach, he felt a surge of energy, an ethereal connection with the moon and the essence of the wilderness. Artemis's blessing, bestowed upon him as the son of the goddess of the hunt, began to manifest.
In the midst of the battle, Naruto closed his eyes, tapping into his well-honed skills. As he drew upon his chakra, the moon's influence coursed through him, and he entered Sage Mode. The air around him shimmered with a silver glow, and his senses heightened to an extraordinary level.
With Artemis's blessing, Naruto's movements became even more precise and agile. He could sense Ares's every shift in posture, anticipate the trajectory of his attacks, and respond with unparalleled speed. It was as if the moon itself guided his every move, and the essence of the wilderness infused his techniques.
The divine connection granted Naruto an otherworldly perception of the battlefield. The kunai-laden beach turned into a tapestry of movements, and Naruto weaved through it with the grace of a seasoned hunter. Ares, the god of war, found himself facing a mortal who moved with a divine rhythm, blending mortal cunning with the blessings of the hunt.
As Naruto pressed on, the whispers of the moon guided him, and the energy of the wilderness fuelled his determination. Artemis's blessing had transformed the battle, making it a dance of shadows and moonlight, where mortal and God clashed in a symphony of combat.
Percy, Annabeth, and Grover, witnessing Naruto's newfound prowess, couldn't help but be amazed. Percy muttered, "What's happening to him?"
Annabeth, her analytical mind piecing together the puzzle, replied, "Artemis's blessing. It's enhancing his abilities, giving him an edge against Ares."
Grover, tapping his hoof nervously, added, "I've seen some crazy things, but this is on a whole new level."
The beach transformed into a battleground where mortal and God clashed with incredible speed and power. Naruto, fuelled by Artemis's blessing in Sage Mode, faced Ares, the god of war, with a newfound prowess.
Naruto weaved through the chaotic dance of combat, creating shadow clones that moved in unison with him. The beach echoed with the whirling sound of Rasengans forming in his hands, each a swirling vortex of chakra ready to strike.
Ares, no stranger to battle, met Naruto's onslaught with a formidable display of godly strength. He deftly dodged some of Naruto's Rasengans, showcasing divine agility. However, Naruto's relentless assault with clones and Rasengans kept Ares on the defensive.
In a burst of divine power, Ares unleashed a shockwave, dispersing several shadow clones. He closed in on Naruto with blinding speed, landing powerful blows that sent shockwaves through the sand. The clash between god and mortal painted the beach with the intensity of their struggle.
Percy, Annabeth, and Grover, observing the spectacle, couldn't help but marvel at the sheer force of the battle. Percy shouted over the din, "Naruto, show him what you've got!"
Annabeth, analyzing the fight, noted, "Ares is fast, but Naruto's shadow clones and Rasengans are keeping him on the back foot."
Grover, nervously watching, added, "I hope Naruto can keep this up. "
Naruto, fueled by the essence of the moon and the wilderness, continued to press the attack. The air crackled with chakra as he summoned more shadow clones, each armed with a Rasengan. Ares, undeterred, met the challenge head-on, countering Naruto's strikes with precise and powerful movements.
The battlefield became a dynamic canvas, with Naruto's Rasengans colliding with bursts of divine energy from Ares. The clash of mortal determination and godly might reached its zenith on the moonlit beach, a celestial symphony of combat that left both mortals and gods in awe of the unfolding spectacle.
As the battle between Naruto and Ares reached its crescendo on the moonlit beach, Naruto, empowered by Artemis's blessing, seized a moment of opportunity. With a swift and precise strike, he summoned a Rasengan in his hand, infusing it with the energy of the moon and the essence of the wilderness. With a powerful spin, he collided with Ares, sending the god of war hurtling through the air.
Ares, momentarily disoriented by the unexpected force, crashed into the water with a thunderous splash. The sea, responding to the clash of divine and mortal energies, surged around them, adding an unpredictable element to the battlefield.
Percy, witnessing Ares submerged in the water, felt the call of the sea resonating within him. His connection to the ocean surged, and he couldn't resist the urge to join the fray. Annabeth and Grover exchanged glances, realizing that Percy's time to intervene had come.
Naruto, having created a window of opportunity, looked towards Percy and nodded, acknowledging the unspoken invitation. Percy, with Riptide in hand, leaped into the water with the fluid grace that only a son of Poseidon could possess.
As Percy submerged, the water seemed to respond to his presence. The sea currents danced around him, enhancing his movements. Ares, now faced with two formidable opponents Naruto on the beach and Percy in his domain realized that the dynamics of the battle had shifted.
As Ares struggled to rise from the water after Naruto's powerful strike, Naruto and Percy exchanged a glance, a silent understanding passing between them. The moonlit beach provided the backdrop for their unspoken agreement. With a nod, Naruto signalled Percy to join the battle.
Naruto, now standing at the water's edge, called out to Percy, "Percy, let's finish this together!"
Percy, water cascading off him as he emerged from the sea, grinned in response. "About time. Let's show him what us demigods, can do!"
As Ares regained his footing, he eyed the two demigods converging on him. Naruto, still in Sage Mode, emanated an aura of moonlit determination, while Percy, water droplets shimmering around him, held Riptide with the confidence of a son of Poseidon.
Ares, sensing the shift in dynamics, scoffed, "You think your combined efforts can stand against the god of war? Amusing."
Naruto, undeterred, replied, "Kaasans blessing and the might of the sea are on our side. Your arrogance will be your downfall."
Percy added with a smirk, "Yeah, maybe you should've thought twice before causing all this trouble."
With synchronized determination, Naruto and Percy moved in tandem. Naruto created shadow clones, surrounding Ares, while Percy summoned a miniature whirlpool beneath Ares's feet. The god of war, now faced with the combined onslaught of chakra-infused attacks and the power of the sea, found himself at a disadvantage.
Naruto shouted to Percy, "Let's finish this together, Percy!"
Percy, channelling the might of the ocean, replied, "Right behind you, Naruto!"
In a seamless display of teamwork, Naruto and Percy launched their final assault. Naruto's shadow clones struck simultaneously, creating a chaotic barrage of Rasengans. Percy, capitalizing on the distraction, surged forward with Riptide, the sea itself amplifying the force behind his strikes.
Ares, unable to contend with the combined might of moonlit chakra and the sea's power, found himself overwhelmed. The god of war roared in frustration as the joint assault sent him crashing back into the water, defeated and humbled.
The moonlight cast its ethereal glow upon the victorious demigods, their breaths steady as they stood side by side. Naruto turned to Percy and offered a fist bump.
As the battle on the moonlit beach between Naruto, Percy, and Ares reached its climax, the gods of Olympus continued to observe through the Iris message. The divine chamber held a tense silence, anticipation hanging in the air like a charged storm.
Zeus, the king of the gods, who had initially expressed displeasure at the audacity of mortals challenging a god, watched with a stern gaze. Hera, with a touch of concern, observed the unfolding events. Artemis, the mother of Naruto, held a composed yet tense demeanour, her silver eyes reflecting a blend of maternal worry and confidence in her son.
As Naruto and Percy's coordinated assault overwhelmed Ares, the atmosphere in the divine chamber shifted. Zeus, though maintaining an air of authority, couldn't conceal a begrudging acknowledgment of the demigods' resilience. Hera, recognizing the unique blend of mortal and divine strengths in Naruto and Percy, exchanged a glance with her husband.
In the midst of the battle's conclusion, an unexpected voice spoke up in the divine chamber. It was Hestia, the gentle goddess of the hearth, whose calming presence often brought a sense of balance to the gods' deliberations.
"I must say, my siblings, there is a unique harmony in the way these demigods, children of both mortal and divine realms, have faced the challenges before them," Hestia remarked, her voice carrying a warmth that contrasted with the tension in the room.
Zeus, acknowledging Hestia's perspective, conceded, "Indeed, their actions have been... noteworthy."
Artemis, maintaining her regal composure, couldn't hide the subtle pride in her gaze. The goddess of the hunt and the moon spoke with measured confidence, "Naruto, my son, has proven the strength born of both the moonlit essence and mortal determination."
The divine chamber buzzed with quiet murmurs as the gods processed the outcome of the battle. Ares, the god of war, defeated by the collaborative efforts of demigods, left a lingering impact on the divine hierarchy.
As the gods continued to observe, Zeus, despite his initial displeasure, found himself in a contemplative mood. The demigods' victory, orchestrated by fate and propelled by their unique heritage, became a topic of divine discourse. The threads of destiny, woven by the Fates themselves, had led to a moment where the lines between mortal and divine blurred.
Naruto and Percy stood side by side, breathing heavily but triumphant. The divine energy of Artemis's blessing and the might of the sea had proven to be a formidable combination. They exchanged a nod, acknowledging the strength they found in each other's abilities.
Percy, with a half-smile, remarked, "Not bad, Naruto. Maybe we should team up more often."
Naruto chuckled, "Yeah, we make a pretty good team. But let's not make a habit of taking on gods every day."
As they spoke, Ares, the defeated god of war, staggered out of the water. His clothes were torn, and his imposing presence seemed diminished. Before Naruto and Percy could react, a dark mist enveloped Ares, obscuring him from view. The mist seemed to pulse with malevolence.
Ares, still staggering, his voice resonating with bitterness, managed to utter a curse before being completely enveloped by the dark mist. "You may have won this round, demigods, but the tides of fate can be cruel. My curse shall follow you like a shadow."
Naruto and Percy exchanged wary glances, sensing the lingering malevolence in Ares's parting words. The mist dissipated, leaving only the echo of the god's ominous curse.
Annabeth and Grover, who had been watching the aftermath of the battle, joined Naruto and Percy. Annabeth frowned, "What just happened? Did he curse us?"
Grover, looking uneasy, added, "Curses from gods are never a good sign. We should be on our guard."
Naruto, his expression determined, spoke, "We'll deal with whatever comes our way. Right now, let's focus on returning the stolen master bolt and Helm of Darkness. Olympus needs them."
the moonlit beach began to calm after the confrontation with Ares, a chilling presence descended. The Furies, the avenging spirits of the Underworld, materialized in their ominous forms. Their eyes glowed with an otherworldly intensity as they surveyed the scene.
Tisiphone, Megaera, and Alecto, the three Furies, approached the demigods. Alecto, the Fury responsible for administering punishments, spoke with an air of grim acknowledgment, "Percy Jackson, you stand accused of the theft of Hades's Helm of Darkness. The accusations were false. You are cleared."
With a solemn nod from the Furies, Tisiphone and Megaera retrieved the Helm of Darkness. As they took to the air, flying away with an ethereal grace, Percy watched them depart, a mix of relief and curiosity in his eyes.
Naruto, Percy, Annabeth, and Grover regrouped on the moonlit beach, the aftermath of the battle still lingering in the air. The question of who or what had intervened to stop Ares remained unanswered. Naruto, his eyes reflecting a keen awareness, suggested, "Some divine interference, maybe? We'll figure it out later."
Percy, still processing the events, added, "Yeah, for now, let's focus on returning the stolen items. Olympus needs them back."
As they contemplated their next move, Grover, the satyr, expressed a hint of concern, "What if Ares comes after us again?"
Naruto, displaying his trademark confidence, replied, "We'll deal with him if he does. For now, let's find a way to get to New York quickly."
Annabeth, ever the strategist, suggested, "Flying would be the fastest. We need to return the master bolt, and time is of the essence."
Percy hesitated, his fear of Zeus's wrath evident. "But flying means going into the sky, and Zeus… well, he's not my biggest fan."
Naruto, with a reassuring grin, clapped Percy on the back, "Don't worry, Percy. We'll smooth things over. Plus, it's the fastest way, and we can't afford delays."
With a shared determination, the four demigods set their sights on the nearest airport, ready to face the challenges that awaited them in the skies above. The journey to return the stolen items and confront the looming threats to Olympus was far from over, but with each step, their resolve only strengthened.
