Bruce sits at a computer in the cave, weeks after the robbery. He looks at the screens, each one showing multiple Gotham Gazette articles about different Batman sightings. He reads one he put on the biggest screen that debates what Batman is, and ultimately says he's a creature that hunts criminals.

Alfred: "So, they think you're not human."

Bruce: "Let's keep it that way."

An alert pops up on the computer, showing details of an arson report. Bruce walks away from the computer, past a makeshift gym, and to the mannequin with the suit, which now has a case holding the gadgets. He puts on the outfit, gets on the bike, and drives off.

Batman arrives at the burning house and runs in. He kicks open a door, and holds up burnings parts of the building that are falling, the two people in the room run out, and run down the hall.

Batman: "What are you doing!?"

Civilian: "Our kid is trapped in his room!"

Batman runs down the hall, opens the bedroom door, and approaches the kid, who screams in terror at the sight of him.

Kid: "Stay back!"

Batman: "Listen, you're gonna die here!"

Kid: "Don't hurt me, monster!"

Batman: "I'm not a monster!"

Batman partly lifts up the mask, revealing his mouth, grabs the kid, and runs out the room, leading the adults out the building while carrying the child. As he's getting on the bike, a man holding two yellow flamethrowers, and wearing a a fire-retartdant outfit spray painted black with yellow details, a yellow gasmask with a red lense, and a makeshift jetpack spray painted yellow. The man lights the bike on fire, and tries to do the same with Batman.

Firefly: "So, you're just a man!"

Batman lunges at Firefly

Firefly left hooks Batman

Batman throws batarangs

Firefly melts the batarangs

Batman trips Firefly

Firefly grabs Batman, and flies up

Firefly: "Time to see if you can also fly!"

Firefly drops Batman

Firefly sets Batman on fire

Batman manages to hit the jetpack with a batarang

Firefly: "How can his aim be that good!?"

As Firefly is falling, Batman grabs him, and grapples onto a building. He swings off, detaching the grapple hook from the building, and rolls into a river. The GCPD arrive at the scene, to see Firefly dangling from a traffic light via a cable, yet no sign of Batman.

Cop: "At-least we can arrest the arsonist."

Bruce walks back into the cave, the batsuit heavily damaged.

Alfred: "What happened?"

Bruce: "The bike was burnt, same with the suit.

Bruce grabs his notepad from the desk the computer is on.

Bruce: "I was gonna be making a new suit, anyways."

Alfred: "Why?"

Bruce: "I scared a child when trying to save him."

Bruce: "I'm only trying to scare criminals."

Alfred: "We still need to discuss what to do about the vehicle problem."

Alfred: "I suggest looking at military vehicles made by Wayne Industries."

Bruce: "I'll do that, Alfred."

Bruce finishes redesigning the suit's mask, simplifying the ears, and removing the mouth cover.
