Chapter four
Quinn walked out of glee astonished. She couldn't believe her eyes. As if Rachel, the most perfect girl, who never let anyone hurt her would do that to herself. Quinn knew how it felt, she'd found comfort in doing mid way through freshman year when she knew she'd never follow in Frannies footsteps. She knew how the blade felt across her skin, she knew how it felt to watch the blood seep out, she knew the dizzy feeling that sometimes came after it, and wondered if Rachel felt the same way. Quinn felt bad for the singer when she saw how embarrassed she got when her sleeve rolled up, she knew how that felt too. She debated telling her that she knew, but what would she gain from that? Rachel would think she'd make fun of her and tell the whole school, really, can she blame her? As Quinn was so engrossed in her thoughts, she hadn't noticed Santana.
"Quinn, hello, earth to Q" Santana said whilst waving a hand in front of Quinn's face. "What do you want Santana?" she snapped, harsher than intended. "Jesus Q, who got your panties in a twist?" Quinn just looked at her and rolled her eyes. "Anyways, I was just wondering if you wanted to come to breadsticks with Britts and I tonight?" If she hadn't just found out this shocking information about Rachel, she would've agreed, but turned Santana down and said she was busy. "Okay then Tubbers, it's you who's missing out" She said as she skipped down the hall to find Brittany.
Quinn walked out to her car, her mind still full of what to do with this new information, she could tell Rachel that she knew, but she didn't want to scare the girl. Quinn knew how it felt to have to hide it everyday, have to wear long sleeves in hot weather, constantly cover up healed scars with concealer, and how the scars taunted her to do it again. She didn't know why she was so bothered by the fact Rachel did that to herself. She's not a stone-cold bitch (contrary to popular belief) but there was more to why she was so worked up about it. It could've been because she knew first hand how it felt to do something like that, like nothing can ever get better, and like you're punishing yourself because you've failed at something. Another reason could've been Quinn noticed changes in Rachel, she talked less about broadway (though people knew her for being obsessed with broadway), she sang less in glee toward the end of sophomore year, and she had lost the light in her eyes. Now, Quinn wasn't going to go up and confront Rachel about all those things, Finn should be the one to do that, he's her boyfriend and he probably cares for her deeply. Finn wasn't the smartest person, so maybe he hadn't noticed, but had anyone else noticed?
Quinn finally got home, an hour later than usual, because she was so fixated on trying to figure out why Rachel would do that and why she was so upset that she did it. She really shouldn't be surprised, Rachel was bullied daily, by the same people, for the same reasons, and there wasn't even a true meaning for why she should be bullied. Rachel was an intelligent person, getting moved up a grade because she was so smart, she was also an incredible singer, and was beautiful. Did she really just admit that Rachel Berry, Man hands, was beautiful? What was wrong with her today, maybe she just needed sleep. Quinn quickly went to the kitchen, greeted her mom, and told her she'd be taking a nap. Before she could even try and sleep, her phone buzzed. It was a message from Santana saying 'ur missing owt Q me and britts r having a great time' with a picture attached of the two of them. Quinn smiled at the picture of them and shot her a text back saying 'i bet anything is better than this hw San' then shutting her phone off to try and sleep.
