A/N: Because it's my birthday today, my present to all my Angels is another Lauriver oneshot! I really love this couple so much! I hope you have a good weekend Angels.

It's been five years.

It's been five years since she had heard his voice.

It's been five years since she had seen him.

It's been five years since she had seen his smile.

It's been five years since she hugged him.

It's been five years since she kissed him.

It's been five years since she had learned of his death.

It's been five years since she fell to her knees and screamed his name.

It's been five years since she had lived in a world full of colour.

It's been five years since she smiled and meant the smile she had on.

It's been five years since she forced herself to start living.

It's been five years since she forced herself to go back to school.

It's been five years since she forced herself to go to Law School

It's been five years since she forced herself to become a lawyer.

It's been five years since she forced herself to live in a black and white world.

She's working on a pro bono case when her phone rings on her desk, pulling her out of her head. She looks at the Caller ID and sees that it's her sister calling her.

After Oliver died, both Lance sisters followed their dad to the law: with Sara being a police officer like their dad and Laurel becoming a lawyer like Oliver wanted her to be because even though he was dead, she knew he wouldn't want her giving up becoming a lawyer so she got her degree in Law.

She answers the call.

"Hey, Sara." She says as she puts her pen down.

"Laurel, I don't know how to tell you this but they found Oliver. He's alive." Sara says happily.

Laurel's glad she's sitting down otherwise she would already be on the floor. Her head is spinning with her little sister's words. The images of Moria coming to her dad's house and telling her that Oliver was lost at sea and that he was dead come full force.

"N…no, he's dead, Sara. What kind of sick joke is this? Oliver has been dead for five years!" Laurel doesn't why her sister is doing this but this is low for her.

"Laurel, he's alive, I wouldn't make this up, you know I think of him like a brother and I've missed him too." Sara replies, her voice is harsh.

Laurel closes her eyes and rubs her temples. Oliver has been dead for five years, lost in the South China Sea, so how could he be alive? How could he have survived that?

"W...where is he?" Laurel asks as she stands up from her desk and grabbing her coat and purse,a smile spreading onto her face, her first real one in five years.

"Starling City Hospital." Sara tells her.

"Pick me up at CNRI and take me to my apartment?" Laurel asks. She hears her sister laugh.

"Already outside, big sis." Sara says.

Laurel practically runs outside and jumps into her sister's car.

"Get to my apartment ASAP, I need to change my work outfit." Laurel orders her sister who just nods her head and drives her to her apartment.

Laurel can't wait to be back in Oliver's arms after five years! She wasn't going to wait another minute until he was home.

Oliver Queen is looking out of his private hospital room window. He's alone again. His Mother left him after hugging him. He's ashamed to admit that he stiffened when she first hugged him, her hands covering his scar covered back before he realised that his mother would never hurt him. All he wants to do is to see the woman he's spent the last five years remembering, Laurel and hold her in his arms one last time before he breaks her heart once again, he can't be with her, not after what he's done over the last five years.

The door to his hospital room opens. In the reflection of the window, he sees the love of his life wearing jeans, with ankle boots and a jacket, her hair laying down her back, tears forming in her eyes. He slowly turns around, his blue eyes locking on her.

"Laurel." He says quietly as he walks towards her.

"Ollie." She says as she reaches him.

Suddenly he has Laurel in his arms, tears leaking from her eyes. Oliver closes his eyes as he holds the love of his life for the first time in 5 years. He relaxes instantly. She's always been able to do that: she's always had this way of relaxing him.

He's missed her these past five years and can't even begin to imagine what she's gone through in the last five years.

"Ollie." Laurel whispers as she pulls away from the hug slightly, kissing him for the first time in five years. Automatically, his arms go around her waist while hers wrap around his neck, playing with the short hair on the nape of his neck and deepening their kiss.

He's the one who breaks the kiss first, leaning his forehead against hers, staring into her beautiful eyes.

"I missed you, Laurel." Oliver says as he tightens his arms around her waist.

"I missed you too, Ollie." Laurel replies, kissing him again. He sighs: knowing what he has to do and hating that he has to do it but it's for her own good, to protect her from him.

"Laurel, I need you to let me go, carry on living your life like you have for the past five years." He says as tears well up in his blue eyes. He spent five years surviving and fighting to get home to Laurel, Tommy, his mother and sister and now he's going to push them all away because of things he did on the island that he had to do in order to survive.

Laurel pulls out of the hug and scoffs, her eyes rolling as she looks at him.

"Are you serious?" She asks with a small laugh before shaking her head. "No, Ollie, I can't let you go, not when I've just got you back. I don't want to live in a world without you in it! I've had to do that for five years and I'm not doing it for another second. I don't care what you had to do on the island, you did in order to survive and I'm so, so proud of you." Laurel says as she kisses him again.

"I'm never letting you go again, Oliver Queen." She says as she pulls away from him.

Oliver sighs: he should've known that she wouldn't have let him go so easily and not without a fight. She's a lawyer after all and she's going to take the city by storm and he'll be right beside her.

A\N: I've been surprised by my nan with a girls only overnight road trip on Monday so I won't be publishing anything until Wednesday at the earliest if the hotel doesn't have free Wi-Fi (which I hope it does.) I've had a great birthday, and this Lauriver has been put on hold so many times today for obvious reasons and it's ten to twelve, enjoy this Lauriver reunion, Angels.
