In the city of Tokyo with bright neon lights and colorful lights shining the sky, there was a figure hovering over the edge of a building. The figure was seen peering down at the city below them as they watched the people go on about their average everyday lives like nothing is wrong with the world and everything was fine.
All of them living in the illusion of success throughout history when they have no idea of what the real world is capable of and how dark it is.
The moon was out and shined down on our figure revealing them, a young man wearing a ninja outfit consisting of sleeveless black cloth over his upper body with matching trousers with black thermal shirt and pants underneath, tabi socks and boots, arm guards, a hood and a black scarf.
The ninja didn't say anything as they scouted the crowds below before shaking his head and then jumped off the rooftop onto another. And continued doing so for a whole a minute until stopping and was now near a park with a bunch of trees and barely any people. Looking around, they then heard something from a far and saw an bunch of lights flashing from their right.
Wondering what the commotion is, they made their way towards their next location. Arriving what they saw appalled them, two girls were being assaulted by a group of men and some of them had lust in their eyes.
Growling, they jumped from the roof and down towards the group, landing on one man as they grabbed his neck and head before pressing their feet onto their back breaking their spine rendering them useless to move.
The other four stopped what they were doing as both girls stopped struggling and looked up to the person that entered the fray. Their eyes widened in shock as they saw a boy around their age and height.
"Hey, punk. If you don't want to get jumped on and know what's good for you, then you better scram on out of here." The man with tattoos on his face said before his lips formed in a smile full of lust. "Unless you're here to join the fun on these two girls right here with us." He said as both girls gained the look of horror in their eyes and tried to break free but couldn't.
This only aggravated the boy even more and he looked up stared at the four in front of him.
"You've only got one chance, let the girls go or die, make your choice." The boy said in an ominous tone.
The four men stared at him like he was crazy and they started laughing at how ridiculous he sounded while the girls wanted him to get away or call for help but what happened next stun them all.
The boy stared at the fifth man punk he dropped on earlier and in an instant, he lifted up his foot and stomped onto his neck crushing his windpipe and killing him instantly. The four punks stopped laughing and were in shock at seeing one of their own taking out easily and killed like he was nothing.
The next two then rushed towards him with knives in their hands and attempted to stab him only for it to be futile. The boy blocked the first knife by using his palm to push the arm of the first thug away from him before planting a knee in his stomach knocking the wind out of him and then grabbed his head forcing it back and then grabbed the knife and plunged it deep into his neck then kicked him away. The second thug aimed straight for the face but missed as the boy simply leaned back and dodged the attack then proceeded to grab the back of the thug's head and slammed it into a wall dragging his face down to the ground before delivering a harsh kick to the back of the head and into the wall killing him.
The boy then heard footsteps and out of the corner of his eye he saw the third thug trying to do a sneak attack on him. He grabbed the thug's arm before hitting a pressure point on his wrist causing the latter to drop his own knife and then screamed in pain when he felt agony in his eyes, which was true since the boy used the knife to blind him and then stabbed him in the heart and left him to die. Turning around he looked and saw the final thug who had a gun in his hand and had it aimed at him.
"Don't come any closer brat, one move and I'll blow her brains out." The boss thug threatened as he had pointed at the first girl who looked scared. The boy looked and saw that the second girl on the ground as struggling to get to move their limbs but there were no signs of bruising and then he looked at the girl being held hostage and saw the same thing, no bruising which means that this guy had a way to paralyze them.
The boy didn't say anything other than looked at the man with a dark look but then an aura filled the alleyway. The boss thug looked at he was scared shitless as he saw a presence looming over the boy across him, a ghostly figure of an oni appearing and glaring at him as if they were staring into his soul.
"How can you do anything…" The boy trailed off before looking up and revealing his red eyes glowing in the dark. "…..when you're already dead."
Before anyone could say anything, the sound of a slice ranged through the air. The boss thug didn't feel anything until suddenly his eyes went white and his pupils dilated causing him to drop the gun and let the girl go before dropping onto his back and fall harshly to the ground.
The ninja had a blade in his hand before it suddenly vanished along with the ghostly aura and the air was no longer tense. He walked over to the girls both looking scared as they were next and were ready to fight but to their surprise, the boy offered a hand to them instead.
"Are you alright?" He asked gently, his voice no longer filled with intimidation and ominous but soft and caring.
The girls looked at each other in confusion not sure what to do, until the one still moving decided to accept it.
"We're… fine. At least I am… my sister is paralyzed and can't move." The girl said and the boy gently nodded his head as he reached out to the other girl who flinched a bit and glared at him heatedly.
"I'm not going to hurt you, I'm here to help." He reassured her the first twin as she continued glaring at him for a bit before looking away and slowly nodded her head. The boy then gently laid a hand on her shoulder and suddenly a purple aura glowed around her body for a moment and then vanished right afterwards. "Okay, you should be able to move now."
"Senko, are you okay?"
"I'm alright Gekko, just a little dizzy but fine nonetheless." Senko replied as her sister smiled at her.
"That's a relief." Gekko said before turning to the boy. "Thank you for saving us." She thanked calmly as the boy tilted his head in confusion.
"You're not afraid of this?" He asked gestured to the brutality they just witness.
"Not really. To be honest, we've been exposed to enough tv shows about hospitals and crime to know the difference between real and fake blood.
"That would explain it, still kind of surprised that you're okay with this." He said.
"They deserved it, if it weren't for you then we would've been raped." Senko said in anger not feeling any sorry for the men on the ground.
"Agreed, but I'm not like those that go around killing every person I see. I only killed them because they were going to rape you and in doing so they paid for it with their lives." He explained. "Still, you should at least call the police or is there someone you can call?" He asked.
"Yes, our older sister, She's on her way now." Gekko answered while turning to her sister.
"You should move into the light and out of the alleyway, police will be on the way tell them that a hooded figure did this." The vigilante said before throwing a smoke bomb on the ground causing the girls to cough. After a few moments, the smoke cleared up and they knew that he was gone.
"You think he could've done that without the smoke." Senko commented as Gekko helped her up. "Were you able to see his face?"
"No, his hoodie covered everything but the eyes." Gekko answered as a small smile played on her lips.
'A hooded figure huh?' She thought as they both waited for someone to come. Soon, the police came and above the tower was the same ninja who never left wanting to make sure that the girls were safe.
"Time to call it a night." The boy then looked up into the distance before running jumping onto three rooftops and then suddenly vanished into thin air.
A young man groaned as the rays of sunlight hit his face, annoyed that the sun was interrupting his beauty sleep. He turned his body around to avoid the sunlight where his face was buried into his mattress wanting to sleep a little longer. Suddenly he felt his bed shift a bit and a hand ran across his forehead.
"Rise and shine, Hayate. It's time to get up." A soft voice spoke as the young man groaned and tried to bury himself more into his mattress, trying to disappear from the world.
"Five… more… days…" The said boy replied as the person above him clicked their teeth at his stubbornness. "Let me sleep."
"If you don't than I'm going to surprise you~" The said boy just groaned and rolled over, not wanting to be disturb. He heard a small sound that sounded like a groan and next thing he knew felt the air to his nose being closed. A few seconds later, he started needing air and immediately grabbed whatever was pinching his nose pulling it off him and immediately sat up. Turning to his assailant, was a girl with a buxom and curvaceous body, she had tanned skin with long dark brown hair that was tied into a ponytail held by a white ribbon, and green eyes. She was wearing a white t-shirt and long blue pants. She had her arms crossed underneath her large bust as she held one of her hands in a pinching gesture.
"Surprise." She smirked.
"Seriously, Homura?" Hayate groaned in irritation.
"Well, kaa-san had to leave early so she said I can wake you up however I want and I'm so glad she did." Homura said as Hayate stood up from bed.
"By cutting off my air supply?" Hayate asked Homura poked him in the forehead.
"It was either that or jump high and dropkick you in the stomach." She answered as he grumbled and rubbed his forehead in irritation.
"Pinching it is." He was too tired for this. "What time is it!?"
"Well, I wanted us to spar before we left but since you decided to sleep late we can do it after school." She answered.
"Why can't you just do it during the exhibition matches?" Hayate suggested.
"Because why not."
"I hate you." He grumbled as she wrapped an arm around his neck and pulled him in close to her chest before pinching his cheek.
"Love you too, otouto. Now come on, let's get to school already before Asuka starts to worry." Homura said with a fond smile on her face. Homura was adopted into the family after his mother had found her one night. She was scared, angry, hurt and alone… but mostly betrayed by those that she once trusted. So when his mother took her in and gave her a home, it took a bit for her to open up about her life and they both had trust issues but over the years they let their walls down and became siblings not by blood but by bond.
Both siblings were now in their Tokyo High Uniforms. Hayate's uniform consisted of a black shirt underneath his closed white dress shirt with blue pants is wearing white sneakers instead of the normal loafers, while Homura's uniform consisted of a white blouse with a black trimmed outline and crimson red ribbon around her neck, a black skirt with matching knee socks and brown loafers.
Once Homura closed the door behind her as they exited their home, she walked to next to Hayate who was looking at the sky.
"So, what do you prefer, take the school by train or a good old-fashioned race?" He asked.
"Good old-fashioned race." Homura answered as a smirk played on her lips. "What's the bet?"
"How about…" Hayate had to think for a bit before answering. "How about, the loser has to do whatever the winner says and they can't refuse the demand no matter what?" Hayate suggested and Homura grinned.
"Now we're talking. And this demand, can we use it at any time?" Homura asked as her brother shrugged his shoulders.
"I mean sure, it's not like we have to do it right away. We can save it for a later date." Hayate answered.
"Perfect." He did not like the look of the smile on her face. "So, we go on your mark?
"Yep." Homura then looked at buildings thinking of taking the rooftops while Hayate looked at the streets, thinking of grinding along the rails. Soon both of them turned their heads facing each other as the wind blew past through air.
"3…2…..1…..Go!" And just like that both teenagers had vanished from the spots and out into the city, racing the entire way towards their school.
