It's another regular, ordinary day at Angel Grove High School.
Around early in the school year in October, a new kid named Dennis attends the school after his family moved out of state.
Dennis is having a hard time, trying to make friends at the school.
Dennis proceeds to get into a fight with Billy and shoves him against a pair of lockers and calls him a "Smarty pants, doo-gooder chump!"
Jason tries to make things right and breaks up the fight.
"What are you going to do about it? You think you're some kind of class president and goody-goody two shoes just like him?"
Dennis backs off from the confrontation with Jason.
Suddenly, Dennis yells "You're a joke Jason!"
Dennis shoves Jason into Billy, knocking him over.
"Billy!" Jason exclaims.
Dennis tackles Jason on the ground, in the middle of the hallway and the two have a fight.
The two trade fisticuffs with one another.
The fight is eventually broken up and Dennis and Jason are forced into detention.
It's the last period of the school day.
"That's just wrong." Tommy sighs.
"Yeah but, there's nothing we can do about it." Trini added.
"We'll have to talk to Jason about this." Kim said.
"You're right. Let's just get back to class. And we'll worry about this later." Zack said.
The group of the remaining five Rangers walk back to class.
A shriek of terror is heard in the hallway and numerous female students, scamper down the hallway.
A parade of Putties attack the school and flip chairs over, break into lockers, destroy the glass windows of the school to sneak in, various property of the school is trashed, etc.
Chaos ensues at the school.
The Rangers can't morph for fear, of concealing their identities.
Screaming and yelling abounds everywhere in the school.
Rita Repulsa and Goldar show up on the other side of the school.
Jason and Dennis overhear what is going on and Jason does all he can, to defend the school from harm.
Jason and Dennis run outside and see Rita and Goldar.
"HAHAHA! AHAHAHAHA! THIS IS MY KIND OF FUN!" Rita rejoiced, in delight of the proceedings.
"I know, right! We've should've done this a long time ago!" Goldar added.
Jason runs into the back woods of the school, trying to morph without anyone seeing him.
Dennis follows him as the Putties start to grow in number.
The Putties start to become overbearing.
Jason morphs into the Red Ranger and Dennis witnesses the whole thing.
"Wow! Jason is a Power Ranger!?" Dennis exclaimed, shocked at what he just witnessed.
Jason doesn't know, Dennis saw his transformation.
The other five Rangers are still distracted and are not aware of what's going on in the rest of the school.
The other five Ranger are still unmorphed, in civilian form.
"Get him!" Rita yelled.
The Putties trap and hold Jason down on the ground.
Rita and Goldar kidnap and capture Jason. The three of them teleport away to Lord Zedd.
"NOO!" Dennis yelled.
The remaining Putties scamper away from the school and Dennis regroups with the others and tells them what happened.
Jason is then brainwashed under Lord Zedd's control.
For the next five days, Jason is under Lord Zedd's bidding.
The other Rangers have to make up excuses to his parents with where Jason is at.
Jason's eyes glow an crimson red, highlighting he's still under control of Lord Zedd.
The other Rangers try to fight Jason, numerous times - trying to remind him, the Power Rangers are his friends.
Lord Zedd begins losing control of Jason.
"Lord Zedd! What is going on!?" Rita shouted.
"I'm losing control of the Red Ranger! My magic seems to be wearing off!" Lord Zedd exclaimed.
"NOOOO!" Rita yelled.
Jason screams and yells, trying to break free of the spell.
Dennis confronts Jason, that he's not evil.
Jason finally comes back to his senses and breaks free of the spell Lord Zedd put on him.
Jason morphs back into the Red Ranger.
Jason battles against Goldar.
Jason kills Goldar in the process. Because hey, what even is Goldar's role in this show anyway?
As things go back to normal, Jason has a mental breakdown.
He's sorry for everything he's done to his friends, and he wants to relinquish his duties as a Power Ranger.
At least for the time being, anyway.
Jason parts ways with the rest of the team, with a sorrowful goodbye but, he promises he'll be back.
Once A Ranger, Always A Ranger.
Jason ends up, passing on his role as the Red Ranger to Dennis.
And then Dennis becomes, comfortable and finally begins to befriend the rest of the Power Rangers and becomes one of them.
The End.
Jason comes back as the Gold Ranger in Zeo after his time away from the team.
