Ancient Secrets

Chapter 4

After leaving the Transfiguration classroom, Silvina wandered around the school grounds before walking to the lake and sitting down. As she sat and watched the water, Silvina gasped loudly as someone spoke from behind her.

" What are you doing? "

Silvina breathed slowly before speaking softly. " You startled me... I am watching the water. I find the movement it makes soothing. Layla right? " Silvina smiled sweetly as Layla nodded before speaking.

" Why are you talking to me so nicely? I teased you, Slapped you. I called you a bitch. Why act like we are friends? " Layla had a stern look on her face but her expression softened as Silvina smiled and spoke.

" When I was living in France, One of my teachers told me that the greatest friendships start from a place of conflict. You might not like me much but I want to know you better anyway. " Silvina smiled again before Layla knelt beside her.

" You shouldn't. Don't waste your time on me. " Layla sighed before taking off her shoes and dipping her feet in the water as Silvina spoke.

" It wouldn't be a waste. " Silvina smiled but looked shocked as Layla looked toward her with despair in her eyes.

" Yes it would. I am not someone you should have around. I'm toxic. " Layla sighed loudly but looked confused as Silvina spoke.

" Akarui tokoro o hitori de aruku yori, Kurai tokoro o nakama to aruku hō ga ii. " Silvina giggled as Layla shook her head before speaking soothingly. " Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light. "

" But I don't have friends. Even the people that hang around me aren't there because they like me. Why should you? " Layla turned back to the lake as Silvina stood and spoke as she walked away.

" Why shouldn't I? " Silvina smiled over her shoulder before walking back to the castle as Layla sighed softly.

Wednesday

After sleeping in for an extra hour, Silvina walked into the Great Hall and sat down to eat breakfast. After a moment, Aurora, Jinn and Mika walked over and sat with her as Jinn spoke.

" Free time till eleven thirty. Plans? "Jinn looked around as Mika and Aurora shrugged before Silvina spoke softly.

" I might sit by the lake again. It was soothing to watch the water. " Silvina smiled but froze as a soft touch ran across the back of her neck as Layla spoke while she walked past.

" It was actually. " Layla had a blank expression as she continued through the doors of the hall as Jinn, Mika and Aurora looked like someone slapped them before Silvina noticed and spoke.

" Alright, I was at the lake yesterday and Layla came along. We talked. " Silvina smiled sweetly before looking agitated as Jinn spoke.

" Bad idea. She is poison. Wide berth Silvina. " Jinn looked stern as Silvina spoke irritably.

" You don't know that. She acts out, Yes. But that doesn't make her poison. She is suffering. I just don't know why yet. " Silvina glanced toward the door as Jinn sighed audibly before speaking.

" On a more pleasant note, We have potions first up. I heard the professor say you made Euphoria yesterday. How was it? " Jinn smiled as Silvina smirked and shrugged before speaking playfully.

" She may have used the word perfect. " Silvina giggled as Jinn scoffed loudly and spoke.

" Careful now, Your head might get stuck in the doorway. " Jinn laughed as the three girls giggled happily before finishing breakfast. After sitting and talking until eleven thirty before walking to the potions room. Once everyone had a spot, Professor Patil spoke calmly.

" Good morning first years. In our last class, Some of you demonstrated a remarkable level of skill in potion brewing and while I would love to teach you some Advanced Potions, We do have to stick to the curriculum. So today you will all be making Hiccoughing Solution. Take out your potion books and follow the instructions. I will check on each of you as you brew your potions. " Professor Patil smiled as the students took out their potion making books and started gathering ingredients for Hiccoughing Solution. As Professor Patil was walking around the room observing, Silvina spoke to Mika.

" It was so much fun to make a potion of our choice last time but I like learning the basic stuff too. " Silvina smiled as Mika nodded.

" Yeah. Basics are important too. " Mika giggled as Silvina nodded happily.

As the first years went about making their potions, Professor Patil walked throughout the room and examined each cauldron. A few cauldrons were bubbling excessively, A few were emitting a horrid stench and one or two were oozing some sort of gelatinous blob.

As Professor Patil walked toward Silvina, Aurora, Jinn and Mika, Mika's cauldron made a loud bang before a surprised gasp filled the room before quickly turning into a scream of agony.

As everyone rushed over, They saw the right side of Silvina's face was quickly blistering before the skin started slowly melting away as she screamed in pain before Professor Patil rushed over and tipped a small vial onto the burn, Causing it to sizzle softly before picking Silvina up and rushing toward the Hospital Wing while Silvina continued screaming as Mika watched in horror.

An Hour Later

After potions class ended, Jinn, Mika and Aurora rushed toward the Hospital Wing only to find the doors locked. As they listened, They heard Headmistress McGonagall talking to Professor Vissity.

" Was that not something you could have disclosed sooner? " Headmistress McGonagall spoke sternly but looked taken aback as Professor Vissity spoke.

" Because I can absolutely slip that into casual conversation. Yes, I can teach flying. Yes, I would love to move to Scotland. By the way, My daughter's skin will melt if she touches lavender but I cannot tell you why. " Professor Vissity had an air of sarcasm about her as Headmistress McGonagall sighed and spoke.

" I see your point. Still, Even if this were a simple allergy I would have many questions. You can understand my conce... " Headmistress McGonagall paused as the doors of the Medical Wing burst open and Mika rushed in before looking toward Silvina in horror as she spoke.

" Via... What did I do... " Mika covered her mouth as tears streamed down her face before she looked at her hands in horror as they trembled visibly while Professor Vissity spoke.

" This wasn't yo... " Professor Vissity froze as Mika shouted loudly.

" DON'T SAY IT! LOOK AT VIA! " Mika sobbed loudly as she looked toward Silvina again, Her eyes fixated on the bandages covering half of Silvina's face as she slept soundly. " Look what I did to her... She is my best friend and look what I did to her... "

As Professor Vissity motioned to speak, Mika ran out of the Hospital Wing as Aurora walked in and sat beside the bed before placing her hand on Silvina's gently as Professor Vissity spoke softly.

" I will not incite rumours with explanation headmistress. Until she is ready to hear it, This is an allergy. " Professor Vissity's tone of voice left no room for argument as she turned her attention to Silvina while Headmistress McGonagall spoke.

" Very well. In the meantime, I will talk to the students. Perhaps someone can tell me what actually happened. " Headmistress McGonagall sighed audibly before leaving the Hospital Wing.

One Week Later

" YOU DID THIS! " Mika struggled as Jinn held her tightly before Layla spoke fiercely.

" Screw you Mudblood! Even if I did, I would never intend this! " Layla growled fiercely as Aurora tried to pull her away before Layla shoved her aside and drew her wand. " Confringo! "

As the spell flew toward Mika, Jinn pushed her aside as he spoke.

" Protego! "Jinn sighed and turned away as Layla's spell fizzled before she spoke.

" What's the matter Jinn? Scared to duel me? " Layla spoke teasingly and giggled softly as Jinn shook his head.

" Not overly. Just don't think you're worth the effort. I'd rather not waste my time. " Jinn spoke calmly as another spell flew past him.

" Coward. It's pathetic really. Hanging out with Mudbloods is so shameful. " Layla laughed loudly before Jinn spoke.

" Like you would know. Mika is lovely. How would a rotten, Poisonous toad like you know anything about her? " Jinn turned and knelt down to see if Mika was alright as Layla growled softly.

After a moment, Layla pointed her wand toward Jinn and spoke. " Bombarda Maxima! "

As Jinn turned to look at Layla, Mika shoved him aside roughly before the spell hit her squarely in the chest, Launching her against the wall with a sickening crunch.

As Mika collapsed to the floor, Jinn turned to face Layla. As he motioned to pick up his wand, Professor Vissity's voice broke through the whispers of the other students in the area.

" What is going on here? " Professor Vissity looked between Mika, Who was laying on the floor, Unconscious, And Layla as she spoke.

" The Mudblood tripped and fell. If she wasn't so stupid, She might have been able to walk straight. " Layla laughed as several students in the area shook their heads in disgust.

" Somehow, I seriously doubt that is what happened. You will report to the Headmistress immediately. And fifty points from Slytherin for your behaviour. " Professor Vissity watched Layla walk away in frustration towards Headmistress McGonagall's office before turning around and picking up Mika gently as she spoke loudly.

" Everyone go to your classes. I don't want to see anyone walking these corridors during class time without permission. " Professor Vissity walked towards the hospital wing while carrying Mika as the students in the area walked quickly toward their next class.

After taking Mika to the hospital wing, Professor Vissity walked briskly to Headmistress McGonagall's office. As she walked into Headmistress McGonagall's office, Professor Vissity heard Headmistress McGonagall scolding Layla.

" Using spells against your fellow students is utterly unacceptable and strictly forbidden at Hogwarts. There is absolutely no reason for this behaviour. " Headmistress McGonagall spoke with disappointment in her voice.

" I have plenty of reason! That idiot Jinn insulted me! Plus he hangs around Mudbloods! It's a disgrace to all Wizards and Witches! " Layla spoke in almost a scream before Professor Vissity spoke.

" Is this what your parents have been teaching you? That Purebloods are better than anyone else? " Professor Vissity spoke in disappointment before Layla answered.

" Purebloods should be ruling the Muggles and Muggleborns. It's disgraceful that we allow them to learn magic. " Layla turned away in frustration but fell silent as she noticed her father step out of Headmistress McGonagall's fireplace.

" My apologies for being late Headmistress. The Floo Network at the Ministry is quite busy today. Now, To what do I owe the pleasure of your summons and what is my daughter doing here? " Layla's father spoke with a deep voice but spoke politely before Headmistress McGonagall answered.

" Always a pleasure to see you Avendus. My apologies for calling you here on such short notice but I am afraid your daughter has been the cause of an injury to another student. " Headmistress McGonagall spoke softly but had an air of disappointment about her as Avendus spoke calmly.

" How severe? "Avendus glared toward Layla as she huffed disinterestedly before Professor Vissity walked over and stood beside Headmistress McGonagall as she spoke.

" The damage is still being assessed but was caused by the more powerful variant of the exploding charm. " Professor Vissity spoke sternly before looking toward Layla with a disapproving expression, Causing her to scoff loudly before Avendus spoke.

" What foolishness compelled you to attack another student? " Avendus had a look of disgrace and frustration on his face as Layla spoke.

" He insulted me. It isn't my fault the stupid Mudblood got in the way. " Layla crossed her arms impatiently before continuing. " Besides he was hanging around Mudbloods. It is shameful. "

" How many times have I told you not to use that word? How many times have I told you that your mothers heresy is unacceptable?! " Avendus spoke forcefully but to no avail.

" Don't speak about my mother like that! She was a better witch than anyone! Her beliefs are more important to me than anything! " Layla looked toward her father with anger in her eyes as he responded.

" Those beliefs are from a very dark time in wizarding history Layla. They are intolerable. " Avendus spoke calmly but retained the look of disappointment as Layla spoke.

" Pathetic. Mother always said you were a spineless coward who was unworthy of our lineage. I am ashamed to call you my father. " Layla turned and stormed out of Headmistress McGonagall's office before Avendus sighed and turned to the Headmistress.

" I apologise for her behaviour. Her mothers beliefs have twisted her mind and filled her with hatred. She is a most difficult child... " Avendus placed a hand on his forehead in a way that made it look like he had a headache before Headmistress McGonagall spoke.

" These... Beliefs of hers... They sound like... " Headmistress McGonagall stopped speaking as Avendus finished her sentence.

" I know. Unfortunately, Her mother and aunt were Death Eaters. To say they all but worshipped him would be an understatement. " Avendus sighed heavily before Professor Vissity spoke.

" I apologise for my bluntness but you know that your daughter has shown that she is a threat to the safety and welfare of her fellow students? " Professor Vissity spoke calmly.

" I know. I only wish I could offer more than apologies. I am unsure if there is anything that will change her beliefs. Her mother spent every waking hour warping Layla's mind and filling her with anger and hate. " Avendus looked toward Headmistress McGonagall with despair in his eyes before she spoke.

" I am unsure if there is anything we can do but I will speak with the staff and will keep a very close eye on her. I will also keep you informed of any developments or further incidents that occur. " Headmistress McGonagall smiled as Avendus bowed politely before stepping into the fireplace and speaking before disappearing in a burst of green flames.

" I get the feeling that we are going to have many problems with Layla. " Professor Vissity spoke calmly as she turned to leave Headmistress McGonagall's office.

" Indeed. I will inform the other staff members of the incident and to keep an eye on young Layla. We will do all we can to help her see the error of her mothers teachings. " Headmistress McGonagall spoke calmly but shook her head and sighed heavily as the door to her office closed.

An Hour Later

After finishing classes for the day, Jinn walked to the Hospital Wing. As he entered, He saw Mika crying softly as a curtain separated her from the bed Silvina was still sleeping in. After walking over and Sitting down, Jinn motioned to speak but remained silent as Mika spoke sadly.

" I can't even bear to look at her Jinn... It breaks my heart to see her like this. " Mika spoke sadly as she sniffled softly before Jinn spoke.

" It wasn't your fault. Don't keep tormenting yourself Mika. Silvina won't hate you. " Jinn smiled soothingly as Mika wiped her tears away and spoke softly.

" That doesn't make me free of fault Jinn. I was right there. I saw the cauldron bubbling before it went off. I had plenty of time to do something and all I did was stare at it. I am as much at fault as Layla. " Mika sighed softly as Jinn brushed her cheek gently before speaking.

" That's rubbish and you know it. Besides, You need to worry about yourself for a bit. That spell did some serious damage Mika. " Jinn sighed as Mika gripped his hand gently before speaking.

" I didn't know you cared so much. " Mika smiled slightly as Jinn looked at the floor and spoke.

" You didn't have to get hurt for me. I could have deflected it. " Jinn spoke disappointingly before Mika poked his cheek gently, Causing him to look toward her as she spoke calmly.

" Now who is blaming themselves? This was my choice Jinn. I would make the same choice for any of my friends. " Mika smiled sweetly before Jinn spoke calmly.

" Doesn't mean I have to like it. Thank you though. " Jinn smiled as Mika blushed lightly before speaking.

" As much as I like having you here, I need some rest. Say hello to Aurora for us? " Mika smiled as Jinn nodded and left before nestling against her pillow and falling asleep, Neither of them noticing that Layla was sitting at Silvina's bedside.

Three Weeks Later

Thursday Afternoon

" Classes are no fun without Via. " Mika spoke softly before Jinn placed a hand on her shoulder and spoke softly.

" They weren't much fun without you either. Have you caught up on classes yet? " Jinn looked concerned but relaxed as Mika smiled and nodded before Aurora spoke sadly.

" I miss Via. I wish she would wake up... " Aurora sighed sadly before a soft voice filled her ears.

" Wish granted. "

As Aurora whorled around, She burst into tears as she saw Silvina smiling toward her through the bandages covering her face. As Aurora rushed forward and hugged her tightly, Silvina nuzzled against Aurora's cheek gently before stepping back as Mika walked forward and spoke softly.

" Via I... I... " Mika fell silent as Silvina shook her head and spoke.

" I know what happened Mika. Layla told me everything. It wasn't your fault. This... " Silvina removed the bandages carefully to show a large scar from her forehead down to her jaw that covered the entire right side of her forehead, Her right eye, That was a faded, Icy blue and her entire right cheek as Mika looked horrified before Silvina continued. " This is not your fault Mika. I already scolded Layla really bad so let's just move on okay? I promise, I am fine and I promise that you are still my best friend. No more blaming yourself. "

" I love you so much Via but of-course I blame myself for this! I could have acted when my cauldron was fizzing but I stood there like a dumbstruck child. " Mika looked away sadly before Silvina thumped her on the head and pulled her into a tight hug as she spoke softly.

" None of that thank you. " Silvina smiled as Mika whimpered and nuzzled against her chest gently before stepping back and wiping her tears as Professor Vissity walked over and spoke.

" Are you sure you are ready sweetheart? Your vision is still hazy. " Professor Vissity looked concerned but sighed as Silvina nodded before speaking loudly. " Alright students. Everyone find your broom or a spare broom and pair up. We are going to be working in pairs and completing trust exercises before flying in two person formations. " As Professor Vissity walked around to help students pair up and begin trust exercises, Aurora spoke softly.

" Would you like to pair up Via? " Aurora had a hopeful look in her eye before Silvina glanced over her shoulder to see Layla standing off to the side as the other students glared toward her and whispered amongst themselves before speaking.

" I'd love to but I think I need to fly with someone else today. You three will think I am mad though... " Silvina turned to face Layla as Mika, Jinn and Aurora followed her gaze before Jinn spoke with disbelief in his voice.

" You undersold it. I think you have gone completely batty. " Jinn looked toward Silvina with shock as Mika spoke.

" I dislike this greatly Via. I can't trust you to her. She caused your injury. " Mika looked irritated but relaxed as Silvina spoke softly.

" Actually the cauldron fizzing was meant to humiliate you. She told me that she was trying to make you look stupid. She had no idea the lavender would hurt me nor did she mean to hurt me. I am not asking you to trust her. Trust me. " Silvina looked toward them with determination in her eyes as Aurora spoke calmly.

" I will always trust you Via. But please, Please be careful okay? " Aurora smiled sweetly but looked saddened as Silvina nodded and walked toward Layla before looking for another partner as Silvina approached Layla and spoke.

" Have you found a partner yet Layla? " Silvina smiled as Layla shook her head before speaking.

" No. They all think I will curse them mid flight. " Layla grinned playfully as Silvina giggled before blushing lightly and speaking forcefully. " Not that I care! What do you want anyway? "

" I want to partner with you. But if you prefer, I can leave you be. " Silvina smiled before turning and walking away slowly.

" W... Wait! I... " Layla groaned softly before sighing as Silvina turned to face her. " Just... Just don't be irritating. "

" I'll do my best. " Silvina smiled brightly as Layla groaned audibly before Professor Vissity spoke loudly.

" Okay students, Let's start with formation flying. The first two to fly will be Aurora and Jinn. As there are only two of you, The formations to choose from are limited so today I would like to see pairs flying in a support formation. Remember to coordinate properly before you fly. "Professor Vissity glanced toward Silvina and Layla with concern before turning her attention to the others as Layla spoke softly.

" After what I did, I would have expected you to avoid me. Besides, You'd prefer to be with your friends. Even I can see that much. " Layla looked toward Silvina as she giggled and spoke softly.

" I already said that I don't blame you Layla. And while being with my friends is fun, I wanted to partner with you. " Silvina smiled sweetly as Layla glanced toward her and spoke calmly.

" Don't be weird. " Layla glanced away as she continued. " You can't trust me anyway. Stop pretending. "

" But I am weird. Always have been. And I am not pretending. If I didn't trust you, I wouldn't have asked to be your partner. Anyway, I don't think you meant to hurt me nor do I think you enjoyed it. I think you are just acting out because you have a lot to deal with and don't really know what to do about it all. " Silvina smiled soothingly but looked taken aback as Layla growled softly and spoke sternly.

" What makes you think I didn't enjoy it? What makes you think I want anyone to understand me? Why should I care what anyone thinks. " Layla crossed her arms and huffed as Silvina spoke softly.

" Because if you enjoyed hurting me, You wouldn't have told me what really happened and you wouldn't be talking to me like this. I know you have reasons for what you do but until you are ready to tell me, I don't want to push you. " Silvina watched Jinn and Aurora flying overhead before Layla scoffed loudly and walked away as Professor Vissity walked over and spoke.

" Not sure I like this idea sweety. " Professor Vissity looked concerned as Silvina shook her head and followed Layla silently. As she approached, Layla spoke softly.

" I don't care. Let them all burn for all I care. " Layla looked away as Silvina sat next to her and spoke calmly.

" If you don't care, Why were you upset that I got hurt? " Silvina looked toward Layla as she turned her head and spoke shakily.

" I... I wasn't... I... I don't care! " Layla stood quickly but froze as Silvina set down her broom and took her hand gently.

" I know how hard it is to not be yourself Layla. You don't have to hide it from me. I am here for you. " Silvina smiled sweetly but looked shocked as Layla looked toward her with teary eyes.

" Just... Just stop okay? Leave me alone. " Layla tried to walk away but froze again as Silvina took her other hand as she spoke.

" You don't really want that do you? Talk to me Layla... " Silvina looked saddened as Layla glanced over her shoulder and spoke softly.

" Leave me alone Silvina... I don't want anyone to understand! " Layla sniffled softly but sighed as Silvina ran her thumbs over her fingers gently as she spoke.

" You haven't pulled away from me Layla. I can't stop you from leaving. But I won't let you go either. I just want to help you... " Silvina smiled soothingly as Layla looked toward the ground and spoke softly as she squeezed Silvina's hands gently.

" Why do you care? Why do you need to know my story? Why do you want to help me? " Layla sobbed softly as Silvina stood and spoke softly.

" Mum told me that no-one really wants to be alone. That everyone wants to be loved and cared for and needs someone. I care because I want to. I want to know your story so I can help you. I want to help you because it hurts to see you suffering alone. We aren't so different Layla. Just let me in... " Silvina squeezed Layla's hands gently as Layla glanced over her shoulder and spoke sternly.

" Don't lie to me. We are nothing alike. You don't know the pain I feel. " Layla turned away again as Silvina spoke softly.

" I have to hide my emotions and do everything carefully because my wand reacts to everything I do. Everything I say or feel or think. Even when I am not holding her. What do you think I would have done if I was there when you attacked Mika? " Silvina looked curious as Layla spoke forcefully.

" You would've beaten me. You would've shown everyone that you are better than me. " Layla pulled away slightly but froze as Silvina squeezed her hands again.

" You are wrong. I would never do that. It would have only made you feel worse. What I would have done, Was had this talk with you sooner. " Silvina squeezed Layla's hands a third time as she continued. " I am so sorry it took so long Layla. But I am here now. Just let me in. Please... "

Layla glanced over her shoulder with a look of despair and longing before shaking her head and pulling away from Silvina forcefully before mounting her broom and taking off as she spoke. " Just stop! You don't know anything about me! "

After picking up and mounting her broom and taking off, Silvina called out. " Layla, Wait! This is dangerous! Please come back! "

" NO! Leave me alone! " Layla turned around the astronomy tower before flipping and flying toward the ground. As Silvina followed her, They looped under one of the stone archways and circled back toward the courtyard as Silvina spoke loudly.

" I won't stop following you Layla! I know you don't want to be alone! Let me in! " Silvina ducked as a spell flew toward her as Layla spoke and fired another spell.

" Stop! You don't know me at all! Expulso! " Layla fired the spell before swooping under the long bridge and landing next to the lake as her spell hit Silvina's shoulder, Causing her to spiral towards the Great Hall before levelling herself out and catching her breathe as pain weaved through her shoulder.

After a few moments of looking around, Silvina spotted Layla sitting next to the lake and quickly flew toward her before landing and speaking softly.

" Please Layla... Talk to me... Please... " Silvina walked forward and knelt down behind Layla as she spoke softly.

" Why won't you give up on me... Everyone else does... Everyone else has... " Layla cried softly but froze and fell silent as Silvina pressed herself against her back gently and spoke soothingly.

" I don't want to give up on you. I won't give up on you. " Silvina rubbed Layla's shoulders gently as Layla spoke while tears streamed down her face.

" You don't really know me... I hurt you... Hurt your friend... Why do you care... " Layla sobbed lightly as Silvina sighed and spoke.

" Because you need me to. Because I want to. What more reason do I need? " Silvina moved back as Layla touched her hand gently as her walls crumbled and she spoke slowly.

" Ever since I was little, My mother told me that Muggleborns are scum. That they are garbage that deserve to be slaves to Purebloods. Every time I argued or disagreed, She tortured me. Then she started torturing me just because she could. Until a year ago. We were in Diagon Alley and one of my Dad's coworkers saw us. She saw the cuts on my arms and bruises that I had on my neck and cheek. She went to my dad. He got a group of Auror's together and arrested her. By then it was a little late. She brainwashed me into hating Muggles and Muggleborns. I can't help it. I thought I was getting past it but... I just feel the urge to hate them. To hate everyone. " Layla paused for a moment as she sniffled. " And everyone just walks away. No-one saves me. No-one tries to help me. "

" I am here Layla. I won't walk away. I won't give up. If you need to be saved, I will save you. " Silvina smiled sweetly as Layla looked towards her with heartbreak and agony in her eyes as she spoke.

" Don't make me promises you can't keep Silvina. You'll disappoint me like everyone else. " Layla motioned to turn away but froze as Silvina cupped her face and ran her thumbs over her cheeks gently.

" Watch me prove you wrong. " Silvina sighed softly as she leant her forehead against Layla's gently, Causing Layla to sigh softly before gently pulling away as she spoke.

" Silvina... I... I need to be alone for a while okay? Please? " Layla smiled slightly as Silvina nodded and stood but stopped as she opened her arms. " What are you... "

" Thought I would offer you a hug before I go. " Silvina smiled sweetly but looked confused as Layla wilted slightly and spoke.

" Please don't... She hugged me every time she tortured me. It only makes it hurt more... Please... " Layla wilted again but relaxed as Silvina gently brushed her cheek before nodding and mounting her broom. As Silvina flew back to the castle, Layla watched her leave before sighing and pulling her knees up to her chest.

After landing in the courtyard, Silvina sighed softly as Professor Vissity rushed over.
