The loud sound of a foghorn blaring made Daniel jump awake in bed. He sat in bed and looked at the beautiful view of the land. The moment he realized the boat had docked in Kanto, he shook Machop awake, who was lying in bed next to him.
"Wake up, Bruce; we made it to Kanto, buddy," He said.
"Machop, Chop. [You are right. The boat stopped moving.]," Bruce said, opening his eyes.
"Grab my bag while I go get wash-up and dressed," Daniel said, getting up from the bed and heading towards the bedroom to get ready to get off the boat now that he had made it to Kanto along with Bruce.
After getting changed out of his pajamas and grabbing his bag, and putting it on his back, putting away the pajamas before he and Bruce left their cabin to start heading off of the boat now that they had arrived in Kanto.
Daniel and Bruce walked off of the boat and were by the beautiful sight of Cerulean City and a golden-looking bridge near the port where the ship was docked.
"Alright, we made it to Cerulean City. Now it's time to start making our way to Pokemon tech," Daniel said, shifting his backpack on his back.
[How long will it take to get to Pokemon tech?]
"I don't know, Bruce, but maybe that guy knows," Daniel said as he noticed a man with spiky dark blue hair sitting near a river under the bridge fishing.
[Good idea, let's see if he knows anything, then, Dan.]
"Yeah, come on, Bruce, and glad you stopped calling me master when we first became partners," Daniel said as Bruce climbed onto his back, hanging on his shoulder."Excuse me, sir," He said, getting the guy's attention.
"Oh, hello, there," He greeted, turning around and noticing Daniel and Bruce."What can I help you two with?" He asked.
"I was wondering if you could tell us how long it takes to get to Pokemon Tech from here," Daniel said.
"Ah, you must be one of the new beginners enrolling this year. Well, you are in luck. The bus stop to catch the bus to Pokemon Tech is not that far from here. All you have to do is cross the nugget bridge and take a left, and you be at the bus stop," He pointed to the bridge."In the past, people would walk, but it changed to safer for those who didn't have their first Pokemon yet, or their pokemon won't be strong in battle."
"Thank you," Daniel said, running off.
'That boy is something I definitely could see potential in him with his relationship with his Machop.' The man thought, smiling as he watched Daniel running off.
It is just like the man. It didn't take long to see a sign saying bus stop up ahead. His eyes widen in awe at the sight of the beautiful buildings around the city.
"Wow, this city is lovely and nothing like Littleroot Town," Daniel said, taking in the scenery.
[That's true.]
As they walked farther toward the sign saying the bus stop, he saw a black bench with a roof to block it from the rain or sun."It looks like that is the bus stop that will take me to Pokemon Tech. Alright, let's go."
As they continue walking, they can crash into someone, nearly knocking them over. It felt like a car hit them. He looked to see if they ended up crashing into a pale skin boy with green eyes and curly red hair.
"You should watch where you're going," Daniel said.
"Sorry!" He quickly apologized."Im kind of in a hurry, so bye!" He said, running off.
"Well, he was in a hurry," Daniel commented as Bruce secured himself more on his shoulder.
[I feel he is heading to the same place as you.]
"Maybe," Daniel said as he started walking soon as he recovered from the collision.
He then arrived at the bus stop to see the same boy talking to a tan skin girl with long brown hair.
'Looks like we are going to the same place, and he was in a hurry to see his friend, but where Wade maybe he with to take care of something first.' Daniel thought, looking inside his bag.
After an hour passed, he then noticed the familiar face of Wade heading toward the bench.
"Ah, seems you beat me here, Danny boy," Wade said, sitting down on the bench.
"Stop calling me that," Daniel muttered.
"Nope, it's your nickname. Deal with it," Wade said, smirking.
"Your annoying, Wade Riptide," Daniel said as Bruce climbed off his shoulder and sat on the other side of the bench beside him.
[I agree, but he did protect you at Professor Birch's camp from bullies; however, that camp hasn't happened lately.]
"Don't pretend you don't enjoy my company, Danny, boy," Wade said, laughing.
"Whatever, the bus is here," Daniel said, pointing at the black bus with a red Pokeball silhouette on the side.
Soon as the bus stopped, everyone started getting on the bus where there were already people gathered on inside as Machop and its evolution took any of the heavy bags and placed them in a safe spot.
As Daniel and Wade got on the bus, with Bruce riding on Daniel's back again, he noticed a girl in the back with short red hair and sapphire blue eyes looking down at her feet.
"Hey Danny boy, what's up?" Wade asked, noting the space-out facial expression.
"Oh, nothing," Daniel said, shaking his head and looking away from the girl.
"Oh really," Wade smiled, looking in the direction Daniel spaced off on seeing the girl."I think someone got his first crush already."
"No, I don't know what tour talking about. We are ten. Who thinks about love at this age?" Daniel sated.
[I don't know. Some kids might think about romance at this age. Besides, you were stareing at her like she was the most amazing girl in the world or a piece of art.]
"I think I will sit to her. She seems lonely," He said, walking over to the back.
"More like you want to flirt with her," Wade said to himself, laughing.
"Hi there," Daniel greeted with a smile sitting beside the unknown girl with Bruce on his lap.
"Oh, hi," She said, looking up at Daniel with a faint smile.
"Something the matter? You, you seem sad?" He asked.
The girl remained silent and looked out the window as the bus started moving.
"It's okay. You don't have to tell me what the matter is if it is not anything you want to talk about. I just wanted to see if you were okay," He said softly, taking his eyes off of her.
'I got to admit he sweet. We just met, and he is sitting here wanting to know if I was okay.' She thought, looking at him. See him holding his Machop.
