Bella, fully cloaked, apparated to the Rosier family estate. She didn't need to be cloaked but the extra protection also didn't hurt. She was on edge after her meeting with Hermione in the elevator. There were a lot of mixed emotions that came with that round of sex and Bella wasn't fully prepared to deal with them so she decided a trip to visit Ronald was in order. "Yes, nothing like a nice bit of torture to clear my head," she reversed her spell and walked straight through the blood magic allowing her to enter. "Pathetic," she heard whimpering coming from the basement. "He acts so ungrateful like I don't provide him with a water bowl and table scraps. Honestly, it's better than Azkaban. He should be thanking me." She rolled her eyes and made her way to the hidden steps that led to the basement. "Ronny, the entertainment is here," she cackled, "well the entertainment for me." The red head was unchained this time but sitting in the corner of the cell. She figured after the idiot tried to run at her wards and he hurt himself, the chains weren't necessary everyday. Just on the days he really pissed her off. "Well," she sat down on the chair outside of the cell door, "didn't you hear me?"
"What do you want, Lestrange?"
She cackled again, "I do so love when you know who comes in to visit you. There are no traces of Bella tonight. I wouldn't say that's good news for you."
"Did you at least bring me something to eat?"
She scoffed, "you aren't quite in the position to be making demands, Ronny. Remember who is the inferior being here. As my daughter would say, spoiler alert, it's you," her laugh was getting more unhinged. Every time she came to visit her prisoner she felt Bella slipping away. It was getting harder to reclaim her when she left. "Speaking of my daughter. She has to have yet another surgery. This is all because of your daughter in case you've forgotten."
"She did nothing wrong," he screamed when a hex was sent his way.
"Just because I'm not using unforgivables doesn't mean I can't torture you. You are lucky those are traceable or else you'd be getting crucio on the regular. That one used to be my favorite. Avada..." she saw him flinch, "was just too showy for me. Why kill immediately? Torture was always more fun. Watching your prey screaming, writhing and begging for relief? It was always exhilarating."
"Screaming and writhing? Doesn't sound like much fun."
Bella rolled her eyes, "how you managed to bed your wife is lost on me." She pulled the seat over closer to the cell, "as I was saying my daughter is having surgery soon. For everyday she is in recovery, I've decided a different torture is going to be inflicted. But I don't really want to wait until then to get started." She reached into her skirts and pulled out two daggers. "These are two of my favorites."
"You can do whatever you want with me but we both know when all is said and done and they finally find me dead or alive, Hermione is never going to forgive you for this. She's one of my best mates and I bet she's invested in this investigation. It's only a matter of time before she figures out what you are up to."
Bella looked at her daggers, thinking about what he was saying. It really was funny his delusions in regards to her wife. Friendship is one thing but she was positive her wife would eventually come around. If not for her then for her daughter. Still, she didn't want her prisoner to suspect anything suspicious between her and her wife so she figured throwing more digs at him was her best defense. "Hmm funny. She didn't mention you once when I was fucking her in the Ministry elevator early today."
"Oh so you've made up have you?"
"What part of fucking in the elevator are you having problems understanding?" She cackled when his face soured. "That's right weasel. Fucking in the Ministry is one of the many many perks associated with being wife of the Minister. I could always push the memory into your little brain if you don't believe me."
"For the love of Merlin, please don't. I'd rather you stab me."
Bella clapped her hands, "oh goodie. Shoes off Ronny. Oh that's right. I snatched you from your yard. Didn't even have shoes on," another cackle. "Now, this is going to hurt." Before he even had a chance to beg, her daggers went flying through the cell and landed in the tops of his feet. His screams were music to her ears. "Bet that fucking hurts," she moved closer to the cell watching the blood drip down his feet. "It sure would be a shame if someone twisted them," with a flick of her wrist, the daggers twisted in deeper pulling another glorious scream. "How muggle of me. See how far I've come?" Another wrist flick and they went deeper once more. "Don't pass out like a pussy," she rolled her eyes in annoyance before waving her hand making the daggers reappear in her own grasp. "That was fun. Well I best be off. Cass's birthday is this weekend. So much to do." She left the idiot crying on the floor of his cell. She cloaked herself and apparated back to the darkened Manor. It seemed she got back well before anyone had woken for the day. Bella easily slipped back into the bed next to her daughter without being caught. This is too easy, she thought as she drifted off back to sleep.
Minnie and Sam were given permission to floo from Hogwarts to Black Manor on Cass's birthday. Tensions were still running high when McGonagall forbade anyone else from joining. Ember did not take the news well and there was a series of small fires set off around Hogwarts which the elves had to take care of. That earned her a month's worth of detentions with Hagrid who seemed less than thrilled at the thought of babysitting someone prone to fire. Lyra and James also tried to sneak through the floo but the headmistress went down to observe who went through. They conceded to staying at school and sent their presents for their friend with her sister. "Mummy? We are here," Minnie announced when she came through the fireplace followed by Sam.
"In the kitchen," they heard Bella shout.
"Girls!" Andy intercepted the two girls before they could make a move towards the kitchen. "How have you been?"
The question was more pointed towards Minnie and the girl felt her cheeks blushing, "you've heard?"
"I think your anger is justified. I am curious how much Black is in there though."
"Well I'm not going to be setting fires like Ember."
Sam laughed, "that was unhinged. Honestly surprised the headmistress let me come to this."
"Something crawled up Minerva's ass and died this year. Maybe she and Poppy broke up." Minnie and Sam shared a look, "you guys see it too, don't you?"
"They are definitely an item," Minnie laughed.
"We talk about it all the time but come to think of it I haven't seen them together much this year…"
"Did we just crack the code?" Andy was now laughing with the girls when Bella walked into the entrance corridor where they all stood.
"Well are you girls going to come in or do we have to move the party out here?" She wrapped both girls up in a hug, feeling the tension leave her youngest daughter immediately. "McGonagall is going to have her hands full with Ember this weekend. Something tells me that girl isn't going to go easy on Hagrid. I knew the sorting hat was full of shit. That girl is full Slytherin."
"Aunt Andy thinks she broke up with Pomfrey."
Bella raised an eyebrow, "that would explain why she's been acting like a right cunt all these months." A small smile formed on Minnie's lips as she held out her hand waiting for the galleon to be dropped. "Salazar, I missed having all of my girls home," she made sure Sam knew she was included in that group. "Cass is very excited for everyone to be around this weekend. Pap Pap, Kitty and your mum are coming for dinner. I think Aunt Cissy and Ms. Hart are also coming over."
"They were fighting about Ember at work today so I'm not so sure," Andy laughed.
Minnie leaned down to whisper to her mother, "did you and mum make up?"
Bella shrugged and shook her head, "not really."
"Good because I'm still mad at her, too."
Bella sighed knowing the anger had to stop at some point, "Cass wants her here and I suppose I do, too."
Minnie grumbled, "that doesn't mean that I have to talk to her," she pushed past her mother in search of Cass. "Cass!!!!" She found her outback overlooking the pitch. Bella and the elves had already set up magical warmers because the girl insisted on sitting outside. If she couldn't fly today she at least wanted to look at the pitch. "I've missed you so much," she threw her arms around her older sister's neck.
Minnie landed a big kiss on Cass's cheek, "ew gross," she fake gagged. "I know I'm very missable but a kiss? Don't we reserve that for only on Christmas?"
"Your 18th birthday seems like a good occasion for a kiss," Minnie gave her a rapid succession of quick cheek kisses causing them to start laughing.
"I'm so glad they let you free for today. Did Sam get a pass?" She looked over Minnie's shoulder.
"Sam's here. She got stopped by mummy and Aunt Andy. We may not get to see her tonight," Minnie chuckled.
"I can't believe what Ember did," Cass sounded impressed. "Fires all over the school?"
"She even tried lighting the ladder to the divination classroom on fire," Minnie snickered. "I was secretly rooting for that one."
Cass cackled like her mother, "trap Sybil up there in her crazy death chamber."
Minnie rolled her eyes, "could you imagine? Sybil as a ghost would be 100 times more annoying than Myrtle."
"Sybil makes Myrtle seem like a pleasant conversationalist."
"Are the two of you ragging on Trelawney again?" Sam emerged from the house, immediately wrapped her girlfriend in a hug. She whispered, "I missed you."
"You don't have to whisper. Minnie knows you simp for me," Cass sat up in her wheelchair so she could properly kiss her girlfriend after months apart.
"7th year has been dreadful without you," Sam swatted Minnie when she started fake gagging. "Seriously, the two of you are ridiculous sometimes."
"But you love us so we are not worried," Cass kissed her again.
Sam sat down on the other side of her girlfriend, taking her hand in her own. "Your mum once told me that the Black sisters come into your life like a tornado." She saw mixed emotions at the mention of Hermione. "She said that once you nest, there is no getting rid of you." That earned her a little chuckle, "I'm quite fond of having my own little tornados. The two of you are so important to me and Ember too when she's not actively destroying school property. I know things are tense with the Minister right now but do try to cut her some slack. She is your other mum and not everybody is lucky to have two really great mothers. Everybody makes mistakes and she just needs help remembering what she needs to be fighting for."
"Spoken like a true Hufflepuff," Minnie rolled her eyes but accepted her words.
Sam laid their clasps hands down on Cass's leg. She felt a small tremor from the muscles and gasped, "how long has that been going on?"
"A couple of weeks. Dr. Hoffman thinks it's a good sign," she smiled, "hence the next surgery. I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I can't take anymore disappointment this year."
Next to arrival through the floo was Hermione followed by her parents. It was a very strange sensation to be coming home for the first time in months. It felt both welcoming and ice cold at the same time. Bella or the girls would normally wait for her at the fireplace to get home from work before she fucked everything up. Even her parents told her she was being ridiculous but she already made the call as Minister and wasn't about to go back on her decision.
"Well if it isn't the estranged wife and company," Andy came around the corner first immediately pulling Hermione into a hug. "I think you are acting like a complete fucking moron but I've missed you around here, kid."
Hermione practically fell into the embrace. Andy smelled like home, "I've missed you, too." She held Andy for a few moments longer before green flames signaled another guest.
"Pap Pap! Kitty!" Teddy had come through and immediately hugged the Grangers. "I'm so happy to see you."
"You are getting so big," Katherine turned to Andy, "he's getting big."
"Silly boy insists on working out daily. He definitely didn't get that trait from me."
"A trait passed on by me no doubt," Jack patted the boy's shoulder. "Strapping men run in the family."
Andy whispered to Hermione, "he does know they aren't actually related right?"
Jack laughed, "please I've been around this boy his whole life. He's an honorary Granger. Now can someone point me in the direction of the birthday girl?"
"She's out back with Minnie, Sam and Bella." They left the entryway in search of the girls but she noticed Hermione hesitating. "Waiting around isn't going to make it any easier, love."
"I know," Hermione sighed, "I know. It's just Bella and I… well we've never been angry this long before and we had a sort of thing the other day at the Ministry and I'm not sure what it meant."
"I don't think Bella knows what it meant either. She was a mess the other day when she came home from work. Refused to talk to anyone except Cass. They retired early that night. Now we both know I'm not one to pry…"
Hermione laughed, "since when?"
"I know it had to be sex. I'm not an idiot. You are also not an idiot. Use your brain, Hermione."
"I know. I know. It's just what if things never get better? It's been miserable these past couple of months. I love staying with my parents but I miss my family so much. Part of me just wants to call it and watch the memory so this whole stupid thing can be over but I'm on this hill now and I can't back down."
"I can't tell you what to do, kid but I can say that the morale around the manor goes up and down. It's hard to predict. Outside of therapy, Cass spends most of the time in her room doing homework or sulking. Bella goes into the office and spends time with Cass. She even sleeps in there. I think part of it is guilt of some sort but it's also loneliness. You know your wife. She'll never admit she's lonely but it's clearly written on her face everyday."
"I don't know what to do, Andy," Hermione truly was torn between her pride and her family. "I need to speak with Bella and the girls."
"I'd start with the birthday girl and see how far you get there. Hopefully you brought her a gift or else I'll have a fat chance of her speaking with you," Andy smirked.
"Always the inspiring one of the family," Hermione rolled her eyes but missed their daily banter. "Wish me luck?"
"I wish you brains, kid."
Hermione made her way out the back door finding everyone already having a few butterbeers. She noticed Bella and Minnie talking to her parents so she decided to go over to where Cass was sitting and chatting with Sam. Her daughter in that wheelchair was enough to break her heart all over again. She came around her side, bending down and hugging her daughter, "happy birthday, my little love," she kissed the side of Cass's head. She held back a little sob when her daughter turned and wrapped both of her arms around her waist. "I've missed you so much, darling."
"Mum," Cass sighed into the hug. She missed her mother. As angry as she was with her, she missed the love and attention from Hermione. "Thank you for coming."
"I would never have missed your birthday," she gave Cass a little gift box. "Open it later."
Cass nodded and tucked the present next to her on her wheelchair, "thanks mum."
"Please stop thanking me," she gave Sam a smile when she offered her the seat she had been sitting in. "I don't deserve it. I've heard good things about your rehab."
"Oh mum," she grabbed Hermione's hand and put it on her leg, "just wait." Cass concentrated and made her muscles twitch and went on to tell her mum about everything she missed over the past couple of months including the plan for her upcoming surgery. "I really hope you can stay when I have my surgery. I need you."
The guilt trip was doing a number on Hermione, "I'll have to talk to your mother. I will make sure to do so before the night is over. I guess Minnie is still angry with me," she nodded over towards her youngest who was glaring daggers at her.
"To be fair… it's not that I'm not mad. I just know that I need you more than I need to harbor a grudge."
Hermione stared at her daughter, "when did you grow up so much?"
"The moment I woke up unable to move," she didn't want her birthday to turn into a pity party. "Did Pap Pap bring any of the good candy?"
Hermione put on her best mother smile, "do you think he would leave home without it?"
Cass called her grandfather over, "you got the good stuff?"
Jack reached into his coat and pulled out a large ziplock bag full of muggle treats, "I wouldn't forget this."
Hermione got up to let her father take her seat when she met eyes with Bella. She nodded to the small area off the back porch. Nodding, Hermione made the walk over to where Bella had designated. "Hi," she breathed out awkwardly when she came face to face with the dark witch.
"Hello," whatever air of indifference Bella was trying to hold wasn't working this time. "How are you?"
The awkward greeting followed immediately by the awkward small talk wasn't going to cut it, "fine. How have you been?"
"So we fucked, it doesn't have to mean anything right? Just an itch that needed to be scratched. Can't we go back to our silent loathing? I knew how to do that," Bella began pacing. "I don't know how to do this."
"That's just it Bella," she sounded upset.
"You have no right to show indigance here, pet. All of this awkwardness is because of you."
"You don't think I know that? You don't think I've been unable to sleep the past few months? You think it's easy for me to be at my parents house while you are here dealing with everything? I'm a failure as a wife and a mother. I don't want a quick fuck in the ministry lift because it's easier than communicating. I want you, Bella. I want my wife back. My girls… my life… my home. Fuck I even miss Andy. When she hugged me I lost it. I can't do this anymore."
"I don't know what you want me to say," she stopped pacing but wasn't facing the younger woman. "Minnie doesn't even want to speak with you. She's been getting in trouble at school. Cass is well… you've spoken with her."
"I know about Minnie and school."
Bella scoffed, "of course Minerva would keep you in the loop. Fucking figures."
"She's just concerned…"
Bella snapped, "do not defend that woman to me. Nothing any of you did was the right thing and you know it. You know how I know it? Because I feel the guilt dripping off of you. You can't even look at me without projecting it onto me."
No longer caring if anyone else could hear them she shouted back, "then tell me… how do we move on from this? Is there a chance of coming back? Because the further you push me away the less I see that happening."
"Me push you away? You pushed the family away when you sided with those idiots at Hogwarts and you know you fucked up. But you are too far in now and your political side won't let you step back to realize the emotional toll it took on all of us here."
Hermione just hung her head. She knew all of this. Of course she knew it and she realized just how fucking stupid she had been behaving. She couldn't stop the tears from flowing now, "do you still love me?"
All of the possible things that could've come out of her wife's mouth that is not what Bella predicted. She absolutely hated the fact that her first instinct was to comfort Hermione. She couldn't help her softer tone, "what a stupid fucking question. You've held my heart for 22 years now, Hermione. I will love you until the day I die but this just isn't about you and me. This is about our girls. Minnie is hurting and I'm not sure how you can begin to make that right besides doing the one thing that you refuse."
"I know…"
"Do you though because it's been months Hermione. And I'm not talking about those first few days at the hospital. There have been nothing but opportunities to listen to your daughter and you haven't. Minnie, she's a lot like you but unfortunately she's also a lot like me and I know how she's feeling. My parents would never listen to anything I had to say. She feels betrayed and unheard. She's not too far gone but I do recognize a lot of my behaviors in her, pet. Nothing is going to fix this overnight."
"I've started seeing a soul healer. I've only gone once so far after the thing we shared in the Ministry lift. I couldn't handle whatever it was that I was feeling on my own after that. It felt so right and so natural but as soon as you left I felt empty, alone and ashamed."
Bella could only nod in agreement, "I also had a lot of feelings I had to deal with." She fondly remembered her evening of torture but tried to keep any thoughts of it out of her mind incase anyone had been looking. "Look, when all of this is said and done however it turns out every one of us is going to need extensive family therapy."
"So this is it?" She watched her wife turn away from her. "We just partially co exist until this naturally works itself out. Cass asked me to ask you if I can stay when she has her surgery."
"Whatever Cass wants."
"What do you want Bella?"
The dark witch turned for a moment to look at her wife, "like I said it's no longer about me," then walked away back to the party guests.
Katherine came around the corner a few minutes later, "are you okay buttercup?"
"Could you hear us yelling?"
Her mother embraced her and the flood gates opened. There was no way Hermione would leave the alcove looking fine, "raised voices but I think Bella must have charmed it because we couldn't hear the argument. Not that we were listening."
That made Hermione chuckle, "I bet Andy was trying to hear." She once again found herself wiping away her tears. "I saw you and dad talking to Minnie. Be honest with me mom, how is she?"
"She's angry darling. But like the Black she is, she seems to be putting her feelings aside today for her sister. At least she seemed happy to see me and your father."
"How do I make it better, mom?" Her mom hugged her tighter. "Can I just send dad in to fix it for me? He always used to be so good at that."
"If your father could you know he would without question." Katherine kissed Hermione's forehead before pulling away. "Come on now, buttercup. Today is about Cassiopeia. It's not everyday a girl turns 18. Let's celebrate her and worry about the rest of it tomorrow."
The party was everything Cass had wanted it to be. She was doted on and spoiled all night. Her favorite part was the catch the snitch match between Bella and Andy. She had only been slightly upset that she couldn't play with them. Her and Teddy provided the play by play commentary for everyone which was almost as fun. They eventually sang happy birthday to Cass which was a muggle tradition but they had adopted it into their family when Hermione insisted on it. "What did you wish for?" Minnie had asked her but her answers remained the same every year, "if I tell you it won't come true." This year was different though. It was the first year she didn't wish for her team to win the Quidditch Cup. She had intended to ask for her surgery to be successful but when she looked across the table and saw her mothers in pain, the only thing she could do was wish that they resolved their issues and that her family reunited. She just wanted everything back to the way it was before that idiot girl hexed her off of her broom. So, she put all of her faith in the muggle surgical doctors to fix up her legs and used her magical birthday wish to fix up her family. Shortly after the cake, Jack told everyone that he was tired and that they needed to be getting back home. Without putting up a fight, she had said goodbye to her grandparents as they showered their granddaughters with hugs and kisses promising they would see them at Christmas. "Love you, Pap Pap," she gave her grandfather an extra squeeze. "Take care my Casserole," he slid her a small envelope which she knew contained muggle money that he gave her every year but didn't want anyone else to know about. Hermione left with her parents promising Cass that she would be back before her surgery.
Once everyone was gone, Bella finally felt like she could breathe, "that was a lot." She finally came into the library to sit down with Andy and the girls. "Teddy left?"
"He has to be at work early tomorrow. He sends his love," Andy poured her sister a glass of fire whiskey.
"He does realize he is welcome to spend the night whenever right?"
"He knows but Siri is waiting for him."
"No good mutt," Bella cackled. "Did you have a good birthday sweetheart?"
"It was perfect, mummy. I'm glad everyone came to see me."
"It was a very nice day," Bella took a sip from her whiskey.
"Even when you and mum were fighting?"
"We weren't fighting, Minnie. We were having a lively discussion. From where I was sitting you didn't say anything to her so you are in no position to speak."
"Do you think she'll ever use her brain and wise up?"
"Can we stop bad talking mum? Look if anyone here should feel angry at her it's me but im ready to move on."
Minnie took a deep calming breath seeing as how it was her sister's birthday and didn't want to piss her off. "Okay. I am just going to need you to tell me how I'm meant to move on from this when my own mother refuses to listen to me. It's not her refusing to believe me… it's her outright denial that I have facts."
"Minnie," Bella tried to jump in, "we both know your mother is wrong. Everybody in this room knows that she is wrong. She made a call as Minister and to go back on it now would be detrimental to her integrity as Minister for Magic."
"That's a bullshit excuse and everybody knows it. She's the fucking Minister. If she wanted to fix things she would."
"I'm glad I'm sitting over here," Andy mumbled, "those fists are lethal."
"How about we shelve this conversation for after the surgery?" Bella tried to not get sucked into Minnie's anger.
Sam sat awkwardly next to her girlfriend seemingly trying to disappear into the couch, "it's getting late. Should we be heading back to school?"
"Not unless you want to. You've been cleared to stay the night," Bella told the girls. "And it seems like you need time away from school."
"Slumber party in my room!" Cass sounded so excited which made Bella happy. "Mummy, are you going to stay with us tonight?"
"No," she shook her head, "I think a girls night is what you need."
"Can we set up the projector and have snacks?"
"Sure, kitten," Bella smiled, "go on upstairs and I'll go talk with the elves. They will set it up for you girls."
Bella had everything arranged for the girls when they made it upstairs. The elevator sure had been getting good use since the accident. The only good thing Cygnus had ever done was had that stupid lift installed for their great grandfather. This was the first birthday Cass didn't insist on opening her gifts in front of everybody. She said she would do it later and send thank you notes. Bella said goodnight to the girls and gave Sam a warning look though it wasn't needed before she grabbed her own pillow and headed back to her own room. Her eyes immediately rolled when she saw Andy already sprawled out in her bed, "why are you in here?"
"You've been sleeping with Cass every night for months. I wanted to make sure you were okay after everything today."
She waved her wand instantly switching into something to sleep in. Bella gathered her hair in a high bun and magically wiped away her makeup. She was sure that her age could be seen now. Almost 70 getting ready to lay in bed with her sister. "No. I'm not okay. I haven't been okay for quite some time but I'm here for my family. That's about all anyone can ask of me right now."
"I'm very proud of the way you handled yourself today."
Bella scoffed, "you mean when Hermione and I were in the alcove screaming at each other?"
"It wasn't that loud, trust me I was trying to listen. I mean the way you put aside your differences and were there for your daughter."
"She asked me if I still loved her. What kind of question is that? 22 years of my life I've spent with that woman. She's the love of my life," Bella laid down next to her sister, letting her head hit off of her pillow. "I don't know how much longer I can stay mad at her. I need her, Andy. And I hate myself for needing her."
"It's okay to need your wife, Bella. I talked to her a little earlier. I think she needs you, too. The two of you are just too fucking stubborn to do anything about it."
"Oh don't act like you didn't get the stubborn gene," Bella nudged her sister.
Andy pretended to think, "I think the stubbornness got sorted with you and Cissy and missed me entirely."
"Ha! Keep telling yourself that one."
"Are you going to be okay tonight? Or do you want me to stay?"
"Will it make me a pussy if I ask my kid sister to stay the night with me?"
Andy smirked, "maybe but I won't tell anyone. Now turn over, little spoon. I hope you don't still snore."
The next morning Bella was woken up by a feeling of warmth. For the first time since bringing Cass home, she slept in her bed and allowed Sam and Minnie to keep the other girl company. Andy was already gone so she must have left for work by the time Bella got up. She looked over and saw a familiar blue otter by the bed. The otter seemed almost desperate when it relayed the message in Hermione's voice, "Bella come quick. Please. I need you. No time to explain, just come to my parents, alone." A small feeling of fear filled her based on the tone coming through the otter. Should she even go? Bella was feeling conflicted but she could feel the emotion coming through the otter and knew she had to go. She quickly got out of bed and put on a pair of jeans and a hoodie. Dressing like a muggle was quicker than her skirt and corset. She didn't hesitate walking into the floo straight to the Granger house. "Pet?" There was no answer. The house was unusually quiet. "Hermione? Where are you?" Anxiety was coming in waves now. There was an uneasy feeling in the house that was usually warm and welcoming. She noticed flashing lights outside of the house and moved to see. It was a muggle ambulance. She thought she saw a police car as well. She was about to go outside and start to question the muggles when she heard footsteps coming from upstairs.
"Bella," her wife sounded relieved to see her.
"What is it? What happened? You've been crying," she wiped the tears off of her face.
"Bella. It's dad. He passed away."
