The Lone Vigilante Issei – High School DxD

Hey everyone, it's me Hide Shinyama.

I finished this chapter in three weeks and a day. Yes! It's not four weeks anymore since the last chapter release! Unfortunately, exams are coming again in the following month of the new year and so, I will probably be busy studying. Let us hope they won't delay the start of the next arc.

So, what's for this chapter? Our boys have just witnessed an epic battle between the Hulk and Loki and then a fight between Hulk and the Youkai.

And now, what will the aftermath be?

Find out in…

Chapter 51 – After the Clash

7th of November, Saturday, 8:54 am – Trio's Apartment, 5th floor, Nerima Ward

Issei had woken up with a groan. He found himself waking up in his bed once more.

"It's always the same. At the end of every adventure, I wake up from my sleep," Issei remarked dryly.

He sat up and yawned. Issei then felt pain throughout his body. It was not sharp and stinging, but it was the pain of soreness. Thankfully, Issei knew that this kind of pain would fade away.

Issei slowly got up from the bed and slowly went to the living room dressed in his pajamas.

'Hmm? Did those guys dress me up while I was unconscious?' Issei noticed, as he looked down at his pajamas. 'Come to think of it, do they always do this when an adventure ends?'

Before Issei could ponder further, Ddraig spoke to him.

[Partner, you're awake!] Ddraig exclaimed joyfully.

"Of course, I am. You think I would go down this easily? Were you perhaps worried?" Issei asked Ddraig teasingly with a smile.

[Of course, not] Ddraig replied quickly, his tone betraying embarrassment. [I was just stating the facts. That's all.]

'Something tells me, Ddraig was worried again…' Issei could not help but think and headed to the living room.

Upon entering the living room, he was greeted by the sight of Matsuda and Motohama eating breakfast.

Seeing Issei awake again, their faces brightened with laughter.

"Issei! You're up!" Matsuda said with a raised arm.

"You know, you're not the first one to say that. You see, Ddraig…" Issei wanted to say.

[Don't you dare say it] Ddraig, the proud Dragon warned Issei.

Issei stopped, leading the boys to wonder what Issei was going to say.

"Never mind, it was nothing…" Issei waved it off and then became somewhat serious. "…How did it go with Loki and that monster?"

Matsuda and Motohama looked at each other for a moment. Then they turned back to Issei.

Motohama went to the laptop and switched it on.

"I think you should see for yourself…" Motohama answered.

Issei was puzzled at that statement and wanted to ask what Motohama meant by it.

It was then that the door to the apartment opened and Shinyama stepped in.

"Good morning, boys. What are you up to?" Shinyama asked them.

"Good timing," Matsuda said to Shinyama. "We just wanted to show Issei what happened."

7th of November, Saturday, 9:24 am – Trio's Apartment, 5th floor, Nerima Ward

What Matsuda and Motohama had shown Issei was the video footage of the fight between Loki and the Hulk. It was footage that they had taken with the Chopping Board Type 2.

After reviewing it, the Perverted Quartet and Shinyama were holding a discussion about it.

"Man, that green man was intense…" Issei remarked with amazement. "…I mean it took all those attacks like it was nothing. Ice, fire, fangs… Is there anything that can kill it?"

"Too bad Loki escaped, though…" Motohama said with a serious face. "…Now, we have two powerful enemies running rampage in Greater Tokyo."

"Just what are we going to do?" Matsuda could not help but ask. "Issei can barely keep up with one of Loki's minions and he needed someone else to defeat it. If he can barely hurt that one wolf, how could he defeat Loki?"

[And what of that green monster? I am sure with your knowledge you may be able to tell us something. Isn't that right, oh all-knowing Shinyama?] Ddraig asked while poking fun at the mysterious landlord.

"Haaa…" Shinyama breathed out in response. "All right. You win…"

Everyone widened their eyes upon hearing Shinyama's concession.

"You do?"

"What is that thing?"

"How do we beat it?"

Issei, Matsuda and Motohama asked simultaneously, as they crowded around Shinyama.

"Yes. I do know what that monster is," Shinyama held his hands to keep them at arm's length. "I'll answer your questions one at a time… so, Matsuda… you asked if you knew what it was, right?"

Matsuda promptly nodded, as the others backed away from Shinyama.

"All right, then I guess I'll spill the beans. The name of the green man is the Hulk…" Shinyama revealed.

[Duh!] Ddraig interrupted him.

"As if that wasn't obvious enough…" Motohama remarked as he took a seat on the sofa.

"I mean he was literally yelling 'Hulk this…' 'Hulk that…'" Issei said to Motohama.

"Yeah, true…" Matsuda quipped.

"But there's more," Shinyama continued.

This made the four of them focus on Shinyama once again.

"The Hulk comes from a different world from ours…" Shinyama revealed more information.

[Well, that was also obvious…] Ddraig interrupted Shinyama again.

"I guess it is obvious, right guys?" Issei stated and asked his buddies.

"Yeah… maybe," Matsuda replied with an uncertain answer.

"I wasn't so sure. I guess it seemed… out of this world like the Metroid and the X-Parasites," Motohama added.

"Now, if you guys could let me finish, I can get to the actual points of interest…" Shinyama spoke up with a hint of annoyance.

This caused everybody to be quiet and listen attentively.

"Now, as I was saying… The man in green is known as the Hulk, he comes from a different world, which is altogether different from the world of Monique and her friends. It is also different from the world of the Metroids. As for the Hulk himself, he was not always a green mindless brute with great physical power and endurance. In fact, the Hulk was originally a reserved timid scientist…"

The last phrase confused everyone in the room.

"A reserved timid scientist?" Issei asked in confusion.

[How did that thing look 'reserved' and 'timid' to you?] Ddraig wondered out loud.

"Because he used to be a human," Shinyama answered quickly. "His real name is Dr. Robert Bruce Banner. He is an American scientist specialized in Gamma Radiation. And when I say that he is from America, I don't mean the America of this world. As I said before, he comes from another world."

"So, how did this guy become big, green and primitive?" Matsuda asked of Shinyama.

"Because of a lab experiment accident involving gamma radiation. As a result, whenever Bruce gets angry, he turns into the Hulk and smashes things up. Once he cools down, he turns back into a human…" Shinyama explained further.

"Hold on! He turns back?" Motohama interjected in surprise.

"Indeed, he does. And that leads me to the real agenda for today's briefing. I want you to find Bruce Banner – preferably before he transforms back into the Hulk," Shinyama requested them.

Everybody groaned at that.

"Oh, come on!" Matsuda whined.

"We just finished the last mission yesterday!" Motohama complained.

"Yeah, and I'm still sore from my injuries, in case you have not noticed!" Issei added.

"Boys, boys. Calm down…" Shinyama raised his hands in a bid to calm them down. "…this mission does not need to be done right away. In fact, this is a mission that can be done over time, as I know that he will not be easy to find."

This did not raise their morale, as they still looked exasperated.

"Once you find him, I want you to bring him to me. And when you see Dr. Banner, tell him that somebody who knows his circumstances can help him here. But be careful. You must not make him angry, or else he will transform into the Hulk," Shinyama warned them.

Everybody sighed, but consented, nonetheless. If it was that simple of a mission to prevent a mad rampaging green monster from going berserk…

"Good, now that that is out of the way… Any questions?" Shinyama asked of the quartet.

Issei raised his hand.

"What are we going to do about Loki? He's still around. And he probably wants my scalp more than ever," Issei pointed out with worry.

"With all the ruckus the fight between him and the Hulk has caused… I think he will have plenty of trouble on his plate to deal with you. In fact, I'm sure some of the Supernatural factions may already be aware of his intrusion on Japanese soil. Hence, he will have to deal with the fallout of that first. Also, I am sure that even if he comes to Japan, he will try to rescue Fenrir first," Shinyama explained much to Issei's relief.

Motohama raised his hand next.

"How do we beat the Hulk? You still haven't answered the question," Motohama pointed out.

"Well, your goal is not to beat it, but to bring him to me," Shinyama reminded Motohama.

"I know, but what if things get out hand and we actually need to fight it. What then?" Motohama asked specifically.

"In that case, I say: You can't," Shinyama answered Motohama's second question. "The Hulk is too powerful for you to beat. Loki could barely keep up with the Hulk as it is – even with support. At best, you can only slow him down. Hence, my advice is to run. Do not try to fight it."

"Good to know…" Motohama replied to this.

Matsuda raised his hand next.

"You mentioned it with Issei's question with the Supernatural factions. I'm very sure that we will be in their spotlights soon enough with... you know… our constant appearances… What are we going to do if we're discovered?" Matsuda asked Shinyama.

"Let's hope it does not come to that," Shinyama answered vaguely.

With that, Shinyama stood up and headed out the door.

"Oh, and here is a photo on what he looks like," Shinyama said, as he handed them a photo.

Issei stood up and took it. In it, he saw a man with brown hair and glasses (think Eric Bana from Hulk 2003 with glasses). As Shinyama said his goodbyes and headed out the door, Matsuda and Motohama gathered up behind Issei to look at the picture.

Nobody had anything to say, save for Ddraig.

[Reserved and timid, huh?] Ddraig remarked upon seeing the picture of Dr. Banner – the real identity behind the Hulk.

7th of November, Saturday, 9:30 am (Japan Time) – somewhere in Scandinavia

"Confound it all!" Loki snarled as he threw another blast at the nearest mountain.

Loki was truly having a terrible day. Not only, had he failed in killing Issei Hyoudou, the reason for his humiliation with Freyr, but he also was humiliated in an even greater way than before. That huge green creature called the Hulk came out of nowhere and started fighting for no good reason other than being angry. What's even worse was that that thing could actually fight him head on.

Ridiculous! Absolutely ridiculous!

How could a God like him be humiliated so easily?

He even had to retreat like a coward!

And if that was not bad enough, Fenrir, his loyal son and subordinate, was taken hostage! Loki had searched for him everywhere, only for him to find traces of Fenrir in Tokyo! But he could not get anywhere near Fenrir for powerful members of the Supernatural Factions could be lurking around anywhere. Loki could not afford to be caught, hence why he had to abandon the rescue mission and go back home.

Loki had hoped that Fenrir would return home from his failed mission to kill Issei Hyoudou. But given the vision that Loki saw, Loki knew that he could not hope for such a return. He remembered how Issei Hyoudou had eluded Fenrir and lead him to this old woman with a staff.

Loki gritted his teeth as he remembered the frightened howls of Fenrir.

Just who was this old woman? And how did she defeat Fenrir with just a staff?

Loki wracked his head, as he created an iceberg only to destroy it with his magic.

Three.

That's three enemies that had proven themselves to be "Crouching Tigers and Hidden Dragons" (to borrow the Chinese expression for surprisingly talented or strong fighters).

First, Issei Hyoudou with his wit and deduction, along with his incredible luck to escape death.

Second, was this green creature that goes by the name Hulk and his insane strength and fury. Loki was still sore from the beating that creature gave him.

And third, this mysterious old woman and her ability to take down Fenrir and hold him captive – provided Fenrir was still alive.

Issei Hyoudou alone was a headache, but now there were three of them.

Three!

The only way this could have been worse was if Sköll, Hati and Hel ended up being captured or dead as well. Or perhaps the other factions would have discovered him on the scene. That truly would have been a headache.

Ugh… he was truly having a literal headache right now.

Loki decided that any more venting would be pointless. He would figure how to proceed with things tomorrow. For now, he needed to go in and rest…

With a snap of a finger, he teleported into his room to sleep.

It was late in the night after all.

7th of November, Saturday, 6:56 am – Basement, Neko Neko Café, Nerima Ward

Fenrir groaned and whimpered in pain. Currently, he was bound in chains and could not break out. His snout was bound by a muzzle and despite his God-level power, he was completely helpless.

How long had he been here? Although Fenrir knew that it was only about a day, he felt like he had been here forever given the torture he had been through.

The old woman had pressed her staff all over his body to make him talk. The points she had pressed were all places where his pressure points were located and made Fenrir go mad from pain.

They ranged from feeling like his body was full of nerves to feeling like he was dying from heat down to freezing in the coldest of temperatures… he even felt like his stomach was going to blow up and spill out his guts.

Despite the pain, Fenrir did not die, which was the most horrifying part. The old woman named Colon knew how to hurt him just enough to make him feel like dying, but not enough to kill him.

And this happened over… and over… and over again…

Fenrir just wanted it to stop… and hopefully go home to his father.

Just then, the door opened to reveal the old woman Colon coming in.

Fenrir thrashed and whimpered in fear. But it was no use! The chains were too strong!

With a chuckle, the old woman approached Fenrir and pointed her staff at the wolf.

"Now, it's time for the next session. Now, I will touch your groin just enough to make you squirm in exquisite pain. But don't worry. It won't explode or anything… hopefully," Colon cackled with glee.

It was then that Fenrir started to speak in the tongue of the wolves to Colon, begging her to stop the torture and expressing his willingness to talk.

"So, you decided to give in…" Colon smiled with her wrinkled face. "…so, tell me who you are and what you are doing here."

Fenrir told the old Chinese Amazon everything. And Colon listened to every word with interest.

7th of November, Saturday, 7:36 am – Dining hall, Neko Neko Café, Nerima Ward

Mouse, the short-sighted male Amazon, and Cat Fu, the beautiful blue-haired female Amazon, were busy setting up the tables in the restaurant. Normally, they would be very busy and hardly have time for anything else, but it was even busier because of what happened yesterday. With the restaurant suffering damage from yesterday's incident, everyone had worked especially hard to fix it. Thanks to their skills in martial arts and naturally honed working speed, they finished it overnight. It was not easy and both Cat Fu and Mouse were tired from all that work, but they did not show it. They had to keep up appearances for the guests.

They both saw their grandmother come out from the basement and knew she was done with the interrogation. Although, the two of them were curious about how it turned out, they knew better than to stop their work. After all, time is money and money is time.

Colon, being satisfied with the work the two of them were doing, decided to wait until evening. That way, she could tell them about what Fenrir had told them.

And it was… truly eye-opening…

7th of November, Saturday, 8:16 am – In the halls of the Grigori, Underworld

The Boss and his two right-hand men, Torben and Hans, were walking down the hallway. They were following Dohnasseek down the hallway as he led them to their latest discovery. Normally, humans like them would not be allowed to enter the Grigori. But since Dohnasseek had received special permission from the higher-ups, the Boss and his men were allowed to come in.

Torben and Hans could not help but look around with fascination. The Boss, though, was less impressionable and maintained a neutral face. He just wanted to get down to business.

As they arrived at a certain door, the scientists in question led them in. In it, they saw a glass container that was well-cared and heated. But the most notable thing was what was inside the container.

Within the container, they saw this strange small creature covered in white fur. It had big pointy ears and a cute little tail. It was currently being observed by the scientists with cameras, as it played with a huge apple, jumping on it before falling down on the ground. It quickly got up and moved it around.

Overall, the creature screamed cuteness overload.

"So, this is the creature that hatched from the egg, huh?" the Boss remarked. On the surface, he seemed unimpressed.

"Indeed," Dohnasseek replied. "Since you were the ones who brought in this egg and given it to us, it is only fair for you to see the fruits of your labors with your own eyes – especially after the loss of your men."

The Boss and his men said nothing. While the loss of their men in the other world was a terrible loss on their end, they knew that grieving would not bring them back. They had hardened their hearts a long time ago, even if there still was a trace of empathy in them left.

"Any ideas on what to do with it?" the Boss asked Dohnasseek.

"For the moment, we are still researching it. It has only been about a month since it hatched. We have to wait a long time to see if this creature can prove useful for us," Dohnasseek answered.

Hans and Torben looked at each other, unsure what to do.

The Boss, on the other hand, had already made up his mind.

"This is a waste of time. We're leaving…" the Boss said and was about to leave.

"Wait!" Dohnasseek said to the Boss.

The Boss stopped and looked back at Dohnasseek.

"What are you going to do now?" Dohnasseek asked of the Boss.

"Why? Are you concerned for a bunch of humans?" the Boss asked in self-depreciating humor.

"No, it is just that a man such as yourself can accomplish a lot in the Grigori," Dohnasseek said to the Boss with flattery.

The Boss scoffed. "How much of a fool do you think I am? A human with no powers or magical abilities can hardly compare to the likes of Fallen Angels like yourself."

"That may be so, but the Grigori always respects those with the mind and tenacity to fight to achieve one's goals. Besides, you have lost your organization and only those two men of yours are left. I am sure that men like them need an organization like the Grigori to… handle their finances…" Dohnasseek pointed out with a smile.

The Boss looked at his men Hans and Torben. Although, they tried to hide it, their eyes spoke of desperation and pleas to accept the offer.

"Besides, what do you have to lose?" Dohnasseek asked of the Boss, as he whispered into his ear. "If anything, being all by yourself is the bigger problem. What can you do all by yourself without your men… or even us? What? Are you three just going to be small-time criminals in a foreign land?"

The Boss did not say anything.

Dohnasseek's grin became bigger when the Boss remained quiet, thinking that he left the German gangster speechless. However, then Dohnasseek felt the cold steel gun pressed against his stomach.

"He has a gun!" one of the scientists shouted and immediately security was summoned.

Dohnassek widened his eyes for a moment before glaring at the Boss.

"You dare…" Dohnasseek growled angrily.

"I prefer you not get into my personal space, Dohnasseek," the Boss spoke with an emotionless tone.

Dohnasseek instinctively backed away. The Boss put the gun back into the holster.

The Boss was on his way out once more with Torben and Hans in tow.

Security was about to stop him, but Dohnasseek made a hand motion telling them to stay where they were.

The Boss stopped and turned around one last time.

"I'll accept your offer. But let me tell you this. My men remain under my control. If any of you try anything stupid with them, I promise you this," the Boss paused for a moment.

Nobody did or said anything, as they awaited the Boss' words.

"We may not be able to kill any of you. You're too strong for that. But know this. If I or they get stabbed in the back from the likes of you, we will make sure that you will get as much pain from us as possible. Consider this a warning," the Boss threatened all the Fallen Angels in the room.

"I see… I apologize then," Dohnasseek gave a slight bow to apologize. "We will remain in contact, I presume?"

"Yes, we will…" the Boss answered, and the conversation ended there.

The three Germans headed out the door, even as the Fallen Angels were left fuming.

"Dohnasseek! Why do you allow them to get away with such insolence!?" one of the Fallen Angel security guards demanded from him.

"Because he is an interesting man," Dohnasseek replied with a smirk as he looked at the door through which the Boss had left. "He knows that although he is weaker than all of us, he still does not falter or flinch. Such a person would be a great pawn for us to use. So, why kill him?"

Turning around to face the security guard, Dohnasseek gave him an order.

"Accompany the three men and make sure they get home," Dohnasseek ordered.

The security guard complied and headed out.

Dohnasseek turned to rest of the Fallen Angels.

"What are you standing around for? Get back to your work!" Dohnasseek ordered them.

They promptly went to work, the scientists to their lab work and the security guards to their posts.

Just then, Dohnasseek was contacted by one of his comrades.

Dohnassek was somewhat surprised by what he had heard as he headed out the door.

"Now, this is interesting. A huge green creature had beaten up a whole bunch of Youkai. And to top it off, that helicopter was there, too…" Dohnasseek said to himself.

The door closed behind him, leaving the scientists to tend to their work.

Nobody else noticed it, but one of the Fallen Angel scientists did.

While the Boss and Dohnaseek had talked, the little white creature did not play around for the duration of it all. Instead, it stood there, listening to everything the two men had said.

Was it perhaps sentient?

The scientist wrote it down on his clipboard and moved on to other lab work.

7th of November, Saturday, 7:14 pm – In the Maou's castle, Lilith, Underworld

Lilith, the capital of the Underworld. It was there that Sirzechs Lucifer had his place of residence. And currently, within his huge castle, which stood out far and wide in the whole Devil Underworld, Sirzechs was having a discussion with an important guest from the Youkais.

"I am truly stumped, Lady Yasaka," Sirzechs remarked in his seat. "In all my life, I have never ever heard of such a creature. Are you sure about what you were told?"

"Yes, Lord Lucifer, I trust my soldiers with my life," Yasaka, the leader of the West Youkai Faction, said. "It was violent and ruthless. It beat up our men with absolute fury for no apparent reason. They remain hospitalized despite our healing magic."

"And you are sure that it was… huge… green and wore nothing but purple trunks…?" Sirzechs tried to ascertain, as he found the description very strange.

"It sounds hard to believe but yes. That is how it looked like," Yasaka confirmed.

"I see… but something does not add up. The attack took place on Kanto soil not too far away from Tokyo. So, why were you on the territory of the East Youkai Faction?" Sirzechs queried.

"That creature was rampaging near our territory. We had informed the East Youkai Faction, but they did not respond to our calls, so we took matters into our own hands," Yasaka answered.

Sirzechs nodded and pondered about this for a moment.

"And you are telling me that you do not know why it was going around rampaging there in the first place," Sirzechs sought to confirm.

"Exactly, as you said, Lord Lucifer," Yasaka replied. "We do not know why it was running wild, nor who or what it is, nor do we know where it came from. All it said were simple words like… 'Hulk' and… 'Smash'."

Yasaka found it awkward to use those strange words in a formal meeting with a leader of another faction but did not let it show.

"And that is why I have come here. To ask you if you had any answers to my questions along with warnings in case it should come to the Underworld," Yasaka finished her statement.

"I understand, Lady Yasaka. Sadly, though, I cannot give you any answers for the moment, as I have never heard or seen any such creature. I will do my best to give you an answer once I have one. I also thank you for your warning," Sirzechs answered her politely.

Yasaka bowed her head in response to this. "Many thanks, Lord Lucifer. I am glad to have been of help. I bid you farewell."

With that, she teleported herself back home, leaving Sirzechs alone.

"What a woman…" Sirzechs smiled gently at where Yasaka previously sat.

If he were not married, he would have gladly put his hands on her chest and made out with her.

Unfortunately, Grayfia would not let him see the next day if he did.

Sigh… whatever…

Sirzechs decided to go to Rias about this to give her a heads up.

7th of November, Saturday, 8:00 pm – News report

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. This is Japan Channel 1 live on stream and we begin with more news about mysterious events. The mysterious destruction of landscapes throughout the Western countryside of the Kanto region have left investigators mystified. Many craters on the ground have been found along with landslides, felling of trees and even mysterious thick ice sheets covering a lot of ground. The believe it to be done intentionally, but who or what may have caused it remains a mystery. Police have cited possible suspects to the destruction, namely, the huge gray wolf that wet on rampage just yesterday and the mysterious figure in red armor flying around the city. Reports say that the wolf disappeared into thin air and the mysterious figure in red was taken up by the mysterious black helicopter, which had been seen in several supernatural events in the past two months. The reports furthermore say that the helicopter headed towards the Western countryside. Could both events be linked? More on this topic will be discussed in an expert discussion at 9 pm. In other news, a young man was beaten up by classmates for 'being a riajuu' in what appears to be the third time this year that young men get assaulted for having a harem full of girls…"

With that, Inspector Kogoro switched off the TV.

"This stupid… annoying helicopter again…" the man groaned.

Yet again, he had received another clue and yet again, he was getting nowhere near the truth. Plus, all those mysterious events that accompanied that chopper…

Would he ever get near the truth? Did he even want to know it?

"Oh, I'll think about that tomorrow…" the man said and fell asleep on the couch.

7th of November, Saturday, 8:04 pm – Rias' room, Gremory Mansion, Underworld

"Koneko, come here for a second," Rias said to Koneko, the Devil-Nekomata.

Currently, Rias was in her pajamas, lying on her huge bed. She had just finished talking to her brother SIrzechs and was strangely excited.

"What is it, Buchou?" Koneko asked as she climbed up her bed.

"Have you ever heard of a huge green man that is insanely strong, can jump like a bouncy ball and wears purple shorts?" Rias asked Koneko.

Koneko, tilted her head in confusion.

"No," she answered simply.

"I thought as much. Apparently, someone like that has been seen beating up Youkais in the Kanto region," Rias told Koneko with a cheerful face.

"Is that why you are so happy?" Koneko asked Rias confused.

"Of course not," Rias said, her face still exuding happiness. "What really makes me happy is the fact that the black helicopter had been seen on the same day. And… it was heading towards the green creature was seen last."

"So… what is your point?" Koneko asked of her Peerage King.

"I'm saying that this time, we will definitely find Issei Hyoudou, as it is clear that Tokyo is where he is," Rias concluded with excitement. "I can't wait! I have decided to go there this coming Friday! Tell the other peerage members!"

"Understood, Buchou!" Koneko nodded and was about to go.

"Oh, and Koneko?" Rias called out to the whitehaired girl.

"Yes?" Koneko replied.

"Make sure not to tell Sona or anyone else. This stays within the peerage," Rias told her.

"Yes, Buchou," Koneko answered and went off.

Rias lay there on her bed and hugged her pillow. She rubbed her face against the pillow.

"Soon… No more delays or distractions… I'm coming for you, Issei Hyoudou… Ufufufufu…" Rias giggled uncontrollably.

7th of November, Saturday, 9:34 pm – Neko Neko Café, Nerima Ward

"Issei… Hyoudou?" Cat Fu pronounced the name of the person Fenrir was trying to kill.

"Yes, apparently that wolf had been sent on a mission to kill this holder of the Red Dragon Emperor named Issei Hyoudou. And his master is the Nordic God named Loki," Colon told her two wards at a table after the restaurant had been closed for the day.

"That's… impossible…" Mouse said perplexed. "How can such things exist? I mean it is so…"

"…unbelievable?" Colon finished the question and hit Mouse on the head with her staff. "We have stories passed down by our ancestors of Dragons, Demons and Gods. We even practice martial arts that are considered supernatural by all standards. Why would you find this information unbelievable?"

Mouse had no answer, as he rubbed his head in pain.

"This Issei Hyoudou will pay! Powerful or not, nobody damages our hard-built restaurant and gets away with it! Cat Fu, Mouse. You will make sure to bring justice on this hooligan according to our tribal customs. Namely…" Colon paused and drew a finger across her neck to make her point.

""Yes, Grandmother!"" Mouse and Cat Fu answered simultaneously.

As they were about to retire for the night, something bugged Cat Fu about the name.

"Issei Hyoudou… Why does name remind me of Issei Hide?" Cat Fu wondered to herself.

7th of November, Saturday, 9:37 pm – Trio's apartment, 5th floor, Nerima Ward

"ACHOO! ACHOO! ACHOO! ACHOO! AAAAAACHOOOOOO!" Issei sneezed five times while in bed.

He woke up startled at the number of sneezes he had.

"Why do I get the feeling that five people have been talking about me all day – and not in a good way?" Issei asked himself.

7th of November, Saturday, 9:40 pm – somewhere in the streets of Tokyo

"Hey, you!" a police officer called out to a man lying on a bench in the park.

The man, who was strangely enough wearing nothing but shorts and a blanket, roused from his sleep and sat up.

"What are you doing out here, sleeping on a bench?" the officer asked the man.

The man covered his blanket better to cover his naked body, before speaking.

"I'm sorry, sir," the man replied in English. "I don't speak Japanese. And I couldn't find a place to stay, as I have no money. Oh, and…"

The man looked at his state of dress and apologized.

"…my clothes ended up ripped because of circumstances…" the man explained.

The policeman paused, as he understood nothing this foreigner said. He tried his best to remember his English lessons he had in school many years ago. Unfortunately, the policeman was not a good student in English, so he did not understand him. He thought of bringing this homeless man to his colleagues at the police station so that they could help translate for him.

"What is your name?" the policeman asked in the little English he knew.

"My name… is Dr. Robert Bruce Banner, sir," the man replied, as he adjusted his glasses.

And that was Chapter 51 of The Lone Vigilante Issei.

A lot of things to cover, I guess.

Well, like I said in the last chapter, the Hulk will be the focus in the next arc, so stay tuned.

Also, it seems like Issei is going to face yet more potential antagonists in the future in the form of Chinese Amazons. What's worse, they know his name and his identity as the Red Dragon Emperor. Good thing, they do not know what he looks like. Though, Issei better be on his guard from now on. Cat Fu seems to be connecting the dots.

A shame I did not bring in Sanma and Ryuga for this arc, but do not worry. They will be back soon.

The confrontation between the Boss and Dohnasseek reveals a lot about the Boss' character and just what kind of opponent he is. I never thought I would flesh him out like this. That was fun to write, as the Boss comes off as quite cool, despite being a nameless human villain with no superpowers.

The inspector surnamed Kogoro will also have a bigger role in the future. It won't be the next arc, but it will be soon.

Loki and the various other Supernatural Factions will also play a bigger role, as the story goes on because (duh!) this is High School DxD.

Lastly, the mysterious white fluffy creature will likewise play a bigger role in the future because of what it is.

Have you guessed what it is?

In case you have not, I'll give you a hint: Read the scene with said creature once again. Perhaps, you might recognize it if you have played or watched some Metroid games.

I hope you have an idea now what this creature is.

More to come soon.

In the meantime, what did you think of this chapter?

Did you like it?

Please read and review, I would like to hear from you.

And as always, I hope to see you around next time.

Until then.
