Sapphie's Sweet Symphony!
Amy opened the door to the library and entered with Ruby. Sapphie, Tails, and Speck were standing around a table. Speck pointed at Jewel Palace on the map that was spread across the table. "If your calculations are correct Sapphie, Labra's ricocheting magic spell landed here in Jewel Palace," Speck said.
"What's going on here?" Ruby asked which got the group's attention. "Remember what happened after Sonic ran after the Hooligans?" Tails asked.
Flashback
It was after Sonic ran off to chase the Hooligans after they kidnapped Miria and Sango. The others ran outside; Labra noticed the odd envelope and grabbed it.
"That looked like the Hooligans' vehicle!" Tails exclaimed. "And they must've taken poor Miria!" Amy said with concern. "Miria!?" Akari and Yuuma said in shock. "I'll save her labu!" Labra declared.
Labra's Space Jewel! Miracle Charm! Jewelflash!
The magic from her spell ricochetted off the trees and began a fast journey across Jewel Land and towards Jewel Palace.
At that moment, Lilia opened a stain glass window in the throne room. "It's a lovely night," she simply said. She noticed that a small portal opened by the throne. "Oh, Pebbles must've found that pair of nuisances." Lilia walked over to the throne and sat down.
Suddenly, Labra's magic zoomed through the open window and into the portal. On the other end of the portal, the magic made contact with Charmy who broke free from the time freeze spell. (Bet you were wondering where that magic came from)

"We were wondering what happened to the magic," Tails said. "So what brings you here?" Sapphie asked. Amy and Ruby exchanged worried looks as Amy moved aside to show Sonic at the doorway. He looked really tired as he covered his mouth to yawn. The trio looked at each other in concern. It was dawn in Jewel Land, so it was Emera's turn since it's daytime.
A short while later, they have a meeting in the library along with Marine, Peridot, Garnet, and Opal. "It appears to be a simple case of insomnia," Marine deduced. "Maybe we should help him get to fall asleep," suggested Ruby. "Let's try some music!" Peridot exclaimed.
The green pup conjured up an electric guitar and began to play loud rifts that created vibrations throughout the library. Everyone else covered their ears until Sapphie took the guitar from Peridot. As she did so, one of the books fell off its shelf. "Your music is too loud," Sapphie exclaimed.
Amy got up from her chair and picked up the book. She noticed something about it since it landed on an open page. The page showed a picture of cute little birds of different colors. Their head feathers were all shaped like single song notes.
"These Alalala birds are so cute," she commented, which got Sapphie's attention. "Hold on. Let me see that book," she said as she gestered Amy to place the book on the table.
"The Alalala Birds have the most soothing vocals in all of Jewel Land. They have the power to cure insomia," Sapphie explained."But they only sing at dawn." "Maybe these little birdies can help Sonic get to sleep," Garnet said. She sighed and held a lovestruck look. "I bet they sound so beautiful." "Then we should take Sonic to the 'Quiet Glades,' so he can hear them and fall asleep," Tails said as Sonic covered his mouth and yawned.
Thanks to Jasper's key, the small group landed a short walking distance from Quiet Glades. "Call me when you want to come back. I'll be here training with Knuckles and Coach Lapis' class," Jasper said on the other side. "Break time's over class!" Knuckles commanded as Lapis blew her whistle. "Good luck," Jasper said as the portal closed.
In the distance, they heard beautiful sounds like a cheery yet soothing symphony. "It's the Alalala birds!" Ruby exclaimed. "Ssh! They are easily startled by loud noises," Sapphie quietly warned which caused Ruby to cover mouth in reaction. "Let's go," Peridot said as she walked ahead.
As the group walked towards Quiet Glades, Tails helped Sonic walked. "Thanks buddy," Sonic thanked in a tired voice. "I'm going to miss you," Tails lamented. "(yawn) Well, I'll be back next week, and we'll find a way to fix this," Sonic assured as his droopy eyes blinked.
Pretty soon, the group looked down the hill to see the Quiet Glades. Perched on the branches of a tree with different colored berries in the shape of music notes were the Alalala Birds singing their beautiful songs.
Amy closed her eyes as she listened to the singing. "I never heard anything so soothing," Amy calmly whispered. Ruby nodded in agreement and closed her eyes too. "Not even the most advanced recording device could ever repeat the beauty of the real thing," Speck awed.
Peridot looked at singing birds with her eyes sparkling and her tail wagging like crazy. "I just have to sing with them!" she exclaimed. "Peridot, don't!" Sapphie warned.
But she couldn't stop the pup in time. Peridot jumped onto a nearby tree stump and snapped her fingers. An outfit suddenly appeared on her: an idol dress with a strawberry theme.
The Alalala Birds stopped singing to see Peridot as she began to sing loudly.

(Author's note: Those are the first lyrics to Strawberry Time, a song that Peridot sang with Luna and Milky in the first Jewelpet season)
The song got cut short as the birds screeched in fright. Peridot stopped singing and noticed the birds flying away. "Wait! I just wanted to sing with you!" Peridot protested.
Sapphie ran over to her and snarled like an angry dog. (of course, she is a dog) "Peridot! What we were you thinking!? They dislike loud music! That's why they flew away," Sapphie growled. "I'm sorry. I just wanted to sing my favorite song with them," Peridot sadly apologized as her outfit vanished.
Marine approached them and petted them on their heads in comfort; the pups began to calm down, yet they were still feeling sad. "Okay now. Peridot said that she's sorry," Marine comforted. The others approached them as well. "But how can we cure Sonic's insomia now?" Tails wondered as Sonic covered his mouth and yawned.
"Only beautiful calm music can call back the Alalala Birds, but only during dawn is when they sing. After that, it's all 'tweet tweet' and 'chirp chirp' until next dawn," Speck explained. "Then I strongly advise against letting Amy handle this," Sonic said while rubbing his eyes. Then he whispered, "She's a terrible singer."
Unfortunately, Amy heard what he said and pulled out her hammer. It took Tails, Garnet, Speck, Ruby, and Marine just to keep her from clobbering the hedgehog. Eventually, she calmed down (at least enough to not hit him) and turned away from him in a huff. "Boys," she muttered.
Peridot got an idea. With a smile, she created a simple flute. "Don't worry. I know who can do it," she said. "You?" Garnet gawked. "Nope. Sapphie," Peridot answered as she placed the flute in Sapphie's paws. She jumped off the stump and gestured the flustered Sapphie to play.
"Please Sapphie? Do it for us, and do it for Sonic," Tails pled. Sapphie looked over at the sleepy hedgehog and then at the flute in her paws. Amy turned towards her; the pink hedgehog's face softened to a small smile as she nodded to the blue pup. Taking a deep breath, Sapphie held the flute up and began to play a tune.
The Alalala Birds popped out of their hiding places as they wondered where the music was coming from. They vocalized in response to the tune and flew around Sapphie. The others slowly backed away, just in case the birds got scared again. Sapphie noticed the birds and smiled as she continued to play.
With Sapphie's flute playing, the Alalala Birds' singing sounded more beautiful than ever. Peridot quietly hummed along and swayed back and fourth to the tune. When Sapphie finished the song, the birds returned to their usual perches and bowed. Sapphie bowed in return.
Peridot ran to Sapphie and hugged her. "You were amazing," she said calmly. Snoring sounds interrupted their hug. They turned to notice a sleeping Sonic lying on the ground. Amy and Tails knelt down by him. "Sweet dreams, Sonic," Amy whispered and placed a kiss on his forehead. She can't stay mad at him long.
Emera's necklace glowed along with Sonic's body. When the light disappeared, in Sonic's place was Emera. Emera opened his eyes and stood up. He yawned and stretched and noticed the small group. "Good morning, everyone," Emera greeted with a smile. "What did I miss?"
Tails picked him up as the group began to leave Quiet Glen. "Well, we got a long story to tell. I hope it won't take all week," Tails stated.
Sapphie turns around to look at us and plays a short ending tune on her flute.

Peridot's Precious Positivity!
"...And that's when you woke up," Tails finished his story to Emera.
They were in the dining room with everyone else in the manor as Chef Flora brought out lunch: rice omeletes. Well... not everyone was there.
"Hey, any signs of Amy, Charotte, Larimar, or Cream?" Ruby wondered. "Last time I saw Cream, she was going in that sleeping boy's room," Amelie said as she picked up her silverware.
The doors opened as Amy and Cream's partners walked in with worried looks. "Want ketchup with your omelete?" Chef Flora asked. "We're not feeling hungry right now," Larimar said. "Is something wrong?" Emera asked. "Poor Cream won't leave Charmy's room," Amy said sadly.
Meanwhile, Cream was holding Charmy's hand. She's now wearing a beautiful necklace with the three gems in the the slots. (Trip made it for her)
Tears were in flowing from her eyes as she sniffled, "Please wake up."
Back at the dining room, everyone wore worried looks. Dian jumped onto his chair and sat down. "It looks like all the bad things happening might be getting to her," he said.
Nearby, Tata and Kohaku quietly waved to Chef Flora who winked at them in response. Dian continued, "Maybe all of this sadness might be too much for her. Maybe we should send her home." He then thanked Chef Flora when she gave him his omelete.
"We can't do that! She'll definitely get worse. Our world is frozen in time remember?" Amy protested as Dian used his spoon to scoop up and eat a part of his omelete. As he chewed, Knuckles added, "Besides, if we did that and when we restored our world, her mother would never ever forgive us. Actually, no one would ever forgive us."
Suddenly, Dian's face turned bright red as he jumped up high and started breathing fire. "HOOOOOOTT!!!" he yelled. Tata and Kohaku laughed and gave each other a high five, then they both gave Chef Flora a high five at the same time.
After drinking down a picher of water, Dian glared at the boys. "What did you do?" he bellowed. Chef Flora giggled as she held up a shaker of cayenne like it was a trophy. "I just used one teenie shake," she said. This got the attention of the other Jewelpets.
"Did you hear that dachi?"
"Dian can't handle spicy food?(snort) Such insolence."
"Well, it must be because he's a bitter sourpuss!"
Laughter erupted through the room after that comment. "That's was a good one, Rosa," Tata chittered. We couldn't've said it better ourselves," Kohaku said while he laughed. Dian puffed his cheeks in embarassment, but then he heard a giggle escape from Marine. "Et tu, Miss Marine!?" he gasped.
Peridot stopped laughing and looked around the room at all the happy smiling faces. Her smile widened brightly as she jumped onto the table and screamed, "I GOT IT!" The room suddenly became silent as everyone stared at her. Blushing when she realized what she did, the pup climbed back down onto her seat cushion.
Peridot cleared her throat as she composed herself. "A dear friend of mine is an expert on sleep spells and might be able to help the kid wake up," she said. "In the meantime, Cream could use some cheering up."
"Great ideas, Peridot! I feel a lot better after what just happened," Charotte cheered. "But until your friend gets here, what can we do to cheer her up?" Larimar wondered.
Peridot smiled and winked. "Just leave it to Peridot and my Positivity Jewel," the pup exclaimed. Sapphie approached Peridot and placed her paw on Peridot's shoulder in concern. "Don't get carried away again like last time," Sapphie said.
Peridot remembered how she got literally kicked out of the abode of a grumpy man. She shuddered and commented, "At least Cream won't sue and give me a restaining order like he did." She then pulled out her Jewelpod and dialed a number.
"Hi Ashleen, it's Peridot," Peridot said over the phone as she jumped off the table. As she proceeded to exit through the doors, everyone watched her go as she continued her talk. "Yeah, I miss helping you with your appointments too. Speaking of which, I have a favor to ask that involves your Dream Healing technique." As Peridot finished that last sentence, the doors opened as she left the room and closed on their own.

Charotte held her fists tightly as she exclaimed, "I'm so mad! I can't stand that Lilia! Cream has to be one of the sweetest girls ever!" Knuckles slammed his fist on the table in agreement. "Yeah! No one makes Cream cry!" he proclaimed. He then noticed that his fist created a hole in the table where he slammed. As the nearby Jewelpets glared at him, he sank down in embarassment.
Emera got up from his seat and jumped onto the table. "Listen up! The other six Chaos Emeralds have scattered across Jewel Land, and we must find them first!" he announced. "If we find the Chaos Emeralds, we can show Lilia what happens when you make Cream cry!"
Everyone else at the table cheered. "We'll let the other Jewelpets know to keep an eye out too!" Lapis suggested. "And we have to find them before Lilia and her goons find them. Surely they must know about the emeralds too," Diana reminded. "Then let's finish lunch and get to work!" Emera declared as cheers filled the room.
The cheering stopped when Dian shouted, "Would you guys stop jumping onto the table to make a speech?!" ... Silence filled the room...
Meanwhile, Peridot was walking towards Charmy's room as she was wrapping up her call. "The room's window shows a Autumn Maple tree outside; it's the only one we have," she said. She nodded her head as the other line spoke. "'Sooner than I think?' Great! Let Sapphie know when you are ready in that room! See ya then!" Peridot hung up and put her Jewelpod away.
She entered to room and saw Cream still by Charmy's side. "Cream?" Peridot said calmly trying to get the rabbit's attention. Cream looked towards Peridot. "What (sniffle) what are you doing here?" Cream asked as she wiped her tears away.
"I'm here to cheer you up!" Peridot said with a bright smile. "You know how to help my friends?" Cream questioned, and Peridot slowly shook her head. "We'll help them later, but you should know that they wouldn't want you to be like this," Peridot stated.
"But I feel so... (sniffle) so sorry for them," Cream sniffled. "We all do, but we must remember to have positivity in our lives," Peridot said as she took a hold of Cream's hand. Cream noticed how Peridot looked at her. She gave a small smile.
A knocking sound cut the moment short as the pair looked at the opening doors. Sapphie came in with Amy, Ruby, Tails, Speck, Garnet, Opal, Charotte, and Larimar. "Peridot, someone told me that they are ready for you," Sapphie stated. Peridot's eyes sparkled with joy. "Everyone follow me and bring the sleeping kid along!" Peridot said as she left the room.
Peridot leads the small group into a room where pink mist drifts around the room. Over a small desk, meditating while levitating in the air is a female tapir with a relaxing smile. Her coat gives off multiple glowing colors that appear to be moving around her body. Her shimmering pink headdress flutters behind her head as her magenta sahri glimmers in the sunbeams shining through the window. Her bright pink eyes slowly open up as she turns to look at the group.
"Ahh, Peridot, so good to see you again," the tapir said with a calm Hindu accent. "Boys and girls, this is Ashleen, the dream-psycologist. And a dear friend of mine," Peridot introduced as Ashleen floated down to the ground. "A pleasure to meet all of you dear children," Ashleen greeted.
"It's nice to meet you too, Miss Ashleen," Cream greeted as Ashleen took interest in her and in Charmy still being held by Amy. "I see I've just met my new patients," the tapir said as the swirling pink mist swirled and showed an image of a yellow flower. "And it looks like we have a solution to the problem. The Flower Dream."
"Huh?!" everyone said in unison.
