Then get the truth now, that Wesley's Crusher's skills are far more valuable to them then ever. Working out a way to manage, after their first year together as things start preceding for Wesley now. They come to the realization, his abilities just got the attention of a very powerful aliens

Chapter 3: Where No One Has Gone Before Part II: The Acting Ensign

"Hello, oh now what, damn it, I knew that was bound to happen, Sarah, the brake pads just shorted out." Ensign Jennifer Barnfield called out and she nodded. "Great that's exactly what we don't need, Wes, see if you can rewire the power, we need a steady emergency brake." she said and he nodded, as he carefully worked at the rewiring then, and swung his hand to her. And she nodded, as she fixed the rest of it from the pool table. "Got it, Will." she said and he smiled.

"Your anchoring reactor, we hook that here, switch the chips, and that should slow us down." Shimoda said and Goldberg nodded. "Agreed, Sarah, come here." he said and she nodded and moved to them. "Will, Wes came up with the ideal plan for repulsion, if the tests exceed maximum warp here." she said to him and he looked at the monitor, as his mind processed what it said and knew Geordi was going to love this, once he saw what he configured this time then.

"Yeah that should do it alright, we have a way to prevent a blown out turbine, because someone exceeded their maximum power relays, nice work cub." he said and Wesley smiled, as Kosinski froze in shock. "That child is well loved in the engineering crew, may have been a month but so what, he's the leader of the junior crew, pre academy training." Argyle said and he paled, realizing the engineering crew adored Wesley, and allowed him to join in now on the tests.

"That child also has a name, his name is Wesley, Cadet Wesley Crusher, he's a junior engineer, he's their student, and mine, so choose your words wisely here, Ensign." Will said sternly to him then and Argyle finished that. "He's also working on a school project, turned engineering upgrade we allowed here now, one that involves his own upgrades to the engines. So with that attitude, I don't trust you near the pool table here right now, with that arrogance of your's."

"Before you begin, there are some questions, so first off here, tell us how you arrived." he said sternly and Kosinki said it, as MacDougal, Shimoda and Chief Engineer Miles O'Brien crossed their arms sternly, waiting for the excuse then firmly then. "Why was I not informed of that, in order to save myself time, let me ask those questions for you. You received the information which Starfleet provided, you fed it into your computer as precisely as humanly possible."

"Then you did a controlled test and then, to your astonishment, nothing happened, so you said, what's going on? This doesn't work, Kosinski's a fraud, you see. I have had this conversation repeatedly and on other Starfleet vessels before, they didn't understand it, why should you?" he asked and Will said it sternly to him at the attitude, as Barnfield gripped Wesley's shoulder. "Because we're the crew, knowing most about advanced beings and the powers they possess."

"As such now, I don't trust you near my engineering room, him definitely not, but my student, I do, that upgrade got us out of a jam, last month, involving a supernova, and a meteor." he said and Kosinki paled, realizing they trusted Wesley more, as the Traveller was interested in what Wesley is doing, looking over his shoulder. "And there's a memory I won't soon forget right now, but that was ridiculous, it was supposed to be 10, not all of them." Wesley said to him then.

In response from the terminal he was working on and Argyle tried to keep from laughing at the deadpan, as he and MacDougal exchanged smiles with Shimoda then. "Like we say, with us drugged to the gills, so to speak, we forget these things right now." O'brien said to that gently and Jenson lowered his head, smiling. "Hey kiddo, how's it going here?" Shimoda asked and he smiled. "Watch the side effects, but this should slow us down." he said to him then, smiling.

"Wes you're going to stall us out if you do that." Will said with a bemused smile and the sextet chuckled at that. "Jim, rearrange the chips, 20, 25, 45, 50." Wesley said and Shimoda nodded as he went to the system to do that. "Nice key code, green, greenish yellow, yellow and red light, and we stop before we reached the Triangulum." Jenson said and O'Brien chuckled. "Reverse that slowly, after you turn us around, 50, 45, 25, 20." Goldberg said to him gently.

As Wesley stuck a computer chip into that terminal and then tapped several codes it, and it read optimal adequacy and he smiled. "The system took the chip, we're good to go, so we have 2 ways to halt the testing, one is by the manual over ride. And the other by the repulser engine I used last month, which is anchoring us to the biggest planet we pass by. So we can slow ourselves down, and check for injuries, if the warp over does it." he said and Argyle smiled.

"Nice thinking kiddo, I never would have thought of that." Argyle said smiling and Will chuckled. "I knew that reactor you created would come in handy and there's the proof, it's now acting as the anchor, like on an ocean bound ship. And catching the biggest piece of rock it can find, in order to slow our speed down, before we come to a stop now." he said and Wesley nodded. "Well the emergency stop is by easing off the gas pedal here, till we do." he said to him then.

"Stop playing with the gas and brake pedals, this is not a car guys." Will said to that gently and Wesley looked at him. "What, we're doing this so we can test the engine, but the booster needs to step off the gas slowly. Not all at once, before one of us gets thrown over the piloting terminal, after the brake gets slammed on." he said and Will nodded. "I realize that, if none of us are holding on, we're getting thrown out of the chair." he said and he nodded gently then.

"Just about done, I put in warp reduction chip, in case it exceeds top warp." Wesley said and they smiled at the news. "What's that going to do?" he asked and he explained that. "We have a sudden power burst, this chip, after the Captain calls out the order is bringing us full stop. Just so we know where we are." he said and they nodded. "But I heard of travelers, they, once they throw everything they have in it, does what I told you on the bridge." he said and Will nodded.

"Want for better word, after last month's situation, we reached the limit, in letting outsiders around or near the system, Will. He's already tested the reactor checks, they're working at 250% efficiency, but testing out these engine upgrades. It's going to fry the chips that we have to run repair work, because we're stuck in the mud." she said and he nodded. "I already took care of that, and created a few new ones, to use till we fix that." Wesley said and she smiled.

"Perfect, if necessary I need your help to repair the replacement parts here honey, but remember you're a 15 year old cadet, just coming into training. You need to rest and eat here, Jennifer that goes for you to, remember who else my double played. After she got her version of their gang back." she said and they nodded, smiling. "Yes Mam." they said together smiling and Will chuckled at that, knowing and remembering when her actress double stopped by the base.

"You never looked up this tv show did you, my double was the mother, of one of the last remaining survivors of 11 primary targets. So acting like a mother comes natural, when one of our cadets is a just turned 15 year old teenager." she said and Kosinski went white, never figuring that was why she was acting like this. "Alex keep your foot on the brake pedal, before you.." they heard and felt a massive jolt shake the ship. "Knock us over." Will said to finish that.

"What happened?" MacDougal added and Hailey said it bemused. "Alex was easing off the brakes, but stepped off too soon, and nearly threw me over the pool table over here, Commander." she said and they nodded. "Like I said this is not a car, stop playing with the gas and brake pedals, because whoever wasn't hanging on. Said will get thrown over the controls or the security console." Will said and Wesley nodded, as he looked at him and Macdougal then.

"Nice thinking baby, that definitely works, before this blows the engine out, and instead, it's keeping us below the red line." MacDougal said smiling to him and Will smiled firmly. "Sir, Sarah and I agree this is a bad idea right now, Wes's specifications here for the system. They never pushed the system till it causes the engine line to melt or explode." Argyle said and he nodded then. "We don't approve." she said emphatically and he nodded, knowing from her tone.

That was code for, 'forget it, not happening, anything goes wrong, it could take 2 weeks to fix the damage and Wesley is not an adult, he needs rest if he gets hurt.'. "So now what here, my student put in a way to prevent you from over taxing the engines, if this engine tests works. Surely you're not saying it's unexplainable?" Argyle said to him then firmly. "I'm saying I'm not a teacher, nor do I wish to become one, I have neither the inclination here."

"Nor the time." he said and Will said it sternly. "You have all the time you need." he said and he swallowed hard at that, realizing they were through playing games with him. "I don't think you understand, this has already been approved by Starfleet Command." he said, hedging the answer and Argyle and Madougal crossed their arms. "But it hasn't been approved by the Chief Engineers or by me." Will said and he looked at him in shock, as he answered him firmly.

"Idea!" Wes said and inputted his computer code. "What are you doing?!" Kosinski said and Jenson grabbed his shoulder. "That's for us to know, and you to find out here right now, you're not a member of this crew." he said and Kosinski swallowed. "Security controls in case we get a Hathor on board the ship, the system only listens to me and Data. Especially if I'm the last human standing, and my parents and adult friends got hit." Wesley said and Kosinski swallowed.

"And to answer your question, in the parents is the Captain adopted him, he's my godson, and our senior staff crew are beyond close. In truth, only been a month, but we bonded like family and to point I get severely overly protective with my cubs here. But that, this, in the future will prevent intruders from hijacking the system here. In case of a hostile take over bid, what the SGA called a foothold situation, on board my ship." Will said to him then sternly then to that.

"Wes…" Hailey said to him, over his shoulder, and he punched in a fast sequence of numbers, from the next terminal over and then pulled out a secondary control chip. And plugged it in, as he answered her. "This is to prevent someone like Ferengi, Risa Rebels, or some other slime taking control of the system, by using our parents to do so. So with them compromised, we, the cub crew, have to do everything for them." he said and she nodded smiling then gently then.

"Yeah cub crew, with your peers ranging from 15, your age, to 22, next year's problem's age, is we're more interested in brains over brawns here. And do these brats have a freakin' death wish, what if wasn't you they encountered in the hall, but a criminal. Like an escaped convict, a man, or woman, completely unpredictable." Lieutenant Junior Grade Derek Greyson said sternly then. "Yeah I agree with that, but how stupid do they think he is." Will said and he nodded.

"You and Daniel taught me way too well, once this control chip gets turned on, and with it, the entire security system if we have our own encounter with Kirk's evil counterpart. Only it's our generation's version, 100 years later, the advancement got even more advanced. And inherently more deadly as a result, with Deanna an empath with a psychotic nature." he said and they nodded. "I just hope assassination is not still a means to promotion." Will said to that remark.

"What's with the first name basis, I thought you met a month ago?!" Kosinski said in shock and his eyes narrowed. "The ship's crew have been looking forward to this, since we started, the messages back and forth, I knew Deanna was going to be here. Because of our empathy and spiritual link." he said and he paled, realizing he meant she belonged to him. "To put this bluntly, while she was with the Captain, Lieutenants Yar and Worf and Commander Data with her."

"Dr. Crusher, Commander La Forge, Wes and I were waiting for them come get us, with the crew members you see here. She's my girlfriend, Ensign, as for the other question, is I knew him for 4 years, and he's recently started full time under me. With his mentor, Commander Jackson on the Hood, training his trio, training Ensigns Dayton and Lefler. But the Captain is his mother's best friend, borderline fiance, he's his adoptive father." he said and Kosinski paled at that news.

"Yeah, and again stand by guys…., Computer, enact security code 3275, Charlie, 627555-758435 Delta, 9798654575 Sierra, 845354376585 Gulf. Sierra Gamma Alpha, execute, medical emergencies clearance, all senior, and secondary senior. In officers clearance codes are suspended till clean of mind control, all orders are to come from me. Senior Ensign Wesley Crusher and Lieutenant Commander Data Brent Spiner." he said and they heard a firm tone.

"Clearance code accepted and recognized, Ensign Crusher, Wesley." they heard and Will smiled in relief. "That's Second Lieutenant in the Air Force, but we're SGA officers in training here, Wes." Hailey said smiling and he grinned at her. "You just got out of basic training, I'm entering it, but we're computer geniuses here, Sarah." he said and Will shook his head. "Alright guys, now is not the time for this, as for that security code, hard to commit it to memory."

"Captain, you hear all that?" he asked and they heard a proud smile in Picard's voice. "Indeed number one, I heard it all, and nice thinking Wesley, that works here. And in case we get hijacked here right now at the time." he said and Wesley looked up. "It's going to take me 3 years to create my computer program, for Lal's back up programming. So once Data downloads her into the system, she's now the Enterprise." he said and they nodded, smiling.

"Brent Spiner, the man playing Data?" Will said and he nodded. "Yep, so Data has a true name now, Data Brent Spiner, Lieutenant Commander Data Brent Spiner. Lal is now training Ensign Lal Hallie Spiner." he said and he and O'Brien nodded smiling then. "I heard that, and thank you Wes, I like that name, so I am Commander Spiner now." Data said and he nodded then. "First year and the changes made, going to be a long year here." Jenson said to this then.

As Goldberg rubbed the back of his head, and Kosinski saw the amount of devotion in the group to the teenager and swallowed hard, realizing the young teenager was a junior ensign. And with a gift and they adored him. "Issues in updates, after we got hijacked, and we watched our tv show, that we're altering a few things, our tv show. It's called Star Trek: The Next Generation, we're in season 1, and you just entered into it." Will said sternly and he nodded.

"That's fine, the more internal computer security and the better involved here right now." Lieutenant Derek Greyson said smiling as he stood there with his arms crossed. "We only heard that code once as we are, but after going on 4 years, we can't remember it. Before you tripled the security plan, before Data adds his to yours, and it's going to take 5 days. Just to break through it, but by then, we're clean of contamination." Will said and Kosinski looked at him.

"I didn't know that was necessary." he said and Will smiled sternly. "Now you do, but to put this bluntly now Kosinki, we have children on board this ship, families. Anything happens to them, because of your experiment, we will have your head for it." he said to him then sternly. "Perhaps I should speak to Captain Picard." he said quickly, realizing he was close then. "If you like, but it won't change anything." Will said and Argyle nodded to this in agreement then.

"How basic shall I be?" he said to him then. "I'll leave that to you." he said as David Jenson left his arms crossed sternly, as they and the trio moved to the multi-electronics station console in the middle of the room. "Would you get onto the auxiliary panel, please?" he said to the traveler and Wesley stands up to give up his console to the Traveler. "Wes never mind, you finish what you're doing, but stay there kiddo, we're not sure yet." Will said and he nodded sternly then.

"In order to save time, my assistant is going to lay in my base formulas more rapidly than any human being possibly could, including even myself. So, here then, in the simplest possible terms, what I do. Now, this warp drive system was tuned only in the grossest possible sense, at least according to my standards. What I do is specific, thank you, sufficient to say for now, these symbols." he said, pointing at the terminal and she and Barnfield crossed their arms.

"Anyone else feel like this is about to turn into trying to fix the Hathaway in the wargames, Sir." he asked and Will nodded. "Yeah and frankly, I'm not in the mood for another blown out engine, after we had a near backfire here, but this is getting ridiculous right now." he said and Wesley nodded. "Hey ow, damn it, Alex watch where you put that!" they heard and he turned. "Sarah take it easy, before you break the terminal." MacDougal said and Hailey nodded gently then.

"At least I'm back on the job, training ensign and we can get some work done, before the outsider breaks anything." Wesley said and the sextet and Will nodded. "Rick, Miles, stay close to Wes, because we have an over shoot, he's going to have slow us down here." Will said and the duo moved to stand next to Wesley. "Yeah I don't like this, trying it this way, it's going to exceed port speed, before we have to hit the brakes." Argyle said and Will nodded sternly.

As Kosinski continues under Wesley and Traveller's whispered conversation. "Something troubles you with the way this is configured? How about it now?" the Traveler said and Wesley nodded. "Yes, but shouldn't these be connected: here and here." he said and he smiled. "Now will it do what Kosinski says it will?" he asked and he nodded. "It has a chance, it might work better this way, yes." he said and Traveller nodded, impressed with Wesley's abilities then.

"Don't go getting any ideas here, regarding my student, he's in training by my best friend, Commander Jackson, in terms of said powers. But his training and future are up to his parents, godmother and me right now, Sir. It's family business and as you're not family, I'm telling you now, to stay out of our business." Will said sternly to him and he froze then, realizing he been marked by the Ancients already, and he was saying that on behalf of Picard and Beverly then.

"Godmother?" Kosinski said and he nodded. "Counselor Troi, he's my godson, and the captain his adoptive father." he said and he froze in shock. "If that's not fast and nothing is, it's been a month and already you reassumed these roles in your and Deanna's case." Goldberg said to him and he nodded. "Hey I love the kid, he's like the son I never had, but that remark I gave him, we're doing as Daniel said, no special attention, he's just helping out." he said and they smiled.

"View with me if you will this screen as we consider the following. Now, is this merely mechanics or is it nature that we deal with in all of this? And what else than nature are the elementals of space and time? You are trained in the system. You go in a straight line, competent, yes, and perhaps even innovative in a minimalist way, but what I do here is not the end of the process, it is the beginning, so, what do I do? Go back to the Fearless, which I left with a more efficient."

"In warp drives than I found? Or do you cast off your ignorance and allow me to continue?" he asked and Will looked at Argyle. "Could anything he's proposing damage our system?" he asked and Argyle sighed. "How could it? It's meaningless." he asked and he nodded. "Then we should let him try it?" he asked and he nodded in resignation. "Sarah?" he asked and she sighed and Will nodded, knowing even if he, or MacDougal said no, Kosinki would do so anyway here.

"What do you mean, let him try it? Don't talk about me in the third person like I'm not standing right here!" he snapped and Daniel nodded. "Yes, we might as well let him try it." he said and that did it. "Oh yes, we might as well let him try it. You are too generous. Boy! Boy, don't play with that." he said and Will stabbed him in the chest. "Again, he has a name, but he's monitoring your assistant here, so watch it." he said sternly to him and he paled at that then.

Bridge:

As Picard enters the bridge, Tasha, Worf, Geordi and Data, are set up at the security and technician terminals ready for the engine test then. "Captain, main Engineering is ready to proceed." Worf said and Picard nodded gently. "Engineering, this is the Bridge. It's your call." he said and heard an answering response."Do this one just like the last time. Nothing changes, Commander, I'll make my preliminary adjustments at warp one point five,

"And complete them as we achieve warp four." Kosinki said to him, and Will sighed, as he looked at Wesley and he nodded. "Engineering to bridge, did you copy that?" he asked and Picard nodded gently. "Affirmative, Number One. Are you ready?" he asked and Wesley, and the sextet nodded sternly. "We are." he said and Picard nodded. "Commander La Forge, set in warp one point five." he said and Geordi nodded, as he carefully activated the engine terminals.

"Warp one point five, sir." he said carefully then to him and he nodded. "Engage." he said to him then…..

Engineering:

"All right, here we go." Kosinski said then as Wesley carefully watched watches the Traveller make adjustments on his console, while Kosinski taps at him. The Traveller turns to smile at Wesley, before they started hearing an increasing hum. "What are you doing?!" Kosinski said and looked up then, as he heard a consternation in the humming. The warp core appears to be racing, the Traveller puts his hands on the console and partially vanishes and Wesley stood up.

The Enterprise takes off at ridiculously high speed, before he got thrown into the wall, and Wesley covered up, before the blast threw him into the terminal. "Commander, the engine core!" Wesley said and Will looked and nodded. "Slow us down Wes!" he said over the humming of the engine. "Aye Sir, bridge, engaging emergency stop!" Wesley said, and he slammed his hand on the terminal, as he tried to activate his chip, but it didn't work and he looked up.

Before the sudden power burst threw him into the wall so hard, he slumped to the floor. "Wes!" Will shouted then and he quickly got up. "We're going too fast, they disabled my computer chip, I have to go manually!" he said sternly and Will nodded in shocked outrage then. "Geordi, how fast are we going here!" Wesley shouted over the radio to the bridge. "I agree with him, Commander La Forge, how fast are we going exactly!" Picard said and he quickly said it.

"Captain, we're passing warp ten!" he said and Wesley nodded. "Damn it, Dad, Geordi listen to me here, but the traveler disabled my control chip to prevent this. I'm going to the engine core panel, to pull us over here, I got them set in four increments here. But we're yanking the first one, it's 20% stop." he said into the radio and heard Picard said gently. "I hear you Wesley, just take it very, very slow, in the pull over." Picard said carefully and he nodded.

"Yes Sir, alright, Jim give me a hand here, we have to do this together the first set, but start at 20, and move forward, Jim, we do this every 5 minutes!" he called out then quickly and he and MacDougal went charging into the engine control room then as he yanked the cover off. "Which one is it?" he said and Jim tapped the panel above the one he was looking at. "Alright we yank these at 20, 25, 45 and 50, fifty is full stop." he said and Shimoda nodded firmly then to that.

As, on the bridge then, the view screen looks like the opening credits to stargate, as there's a jolt which throws the Traveller off his stool as Kosinski is clueless. "Captain, I'm pulling the emergency stop here, we just yanked the first 20, whenever you're ready!" Wesley shouted over the radio and he nodded sternly to his words. "What is our velocity?" he asked and Data said it to him. "It's off the scale, sir." he said to him as he got ready, as he said it over the radio.

"Wes, yank the next set and then when we tell you, yank the third, before we go to full stop." Geordi said and Wesley nodded, as he got away from the terminal, charged into the control panel, as he yanked the 25 next and they started slowing down slowly. "Reverse engines, very slowly." Picard said and Data turned. "Captain, no one has ever reversed engines at this velocity." he said quickly, despite knowing their young friend was good.

This was very dangerous then. "Because no one has gone this fast, reverse engines, Wesley yank the next set." Picard said to him and he nodded and yanked the 45 next, as they started slowing down even more as they arrive at a beautiful place. "All stop." he said and yanked the entire 50 next as they stopped at very nice spot and sighed in relief. "Everybody okay up there?" he called into the radio. "Yes we're fine, Wesley." he said and they sighed.

And in relief, as he looked down in relief, this test never killed anyone, as Shimoda wrapped his arm across his shoulder. "I'm okay, but it worked, but since we have no idea where in the Triangulum here we are right now. I have to reverse course, and that's going to take hours to put the chips back in here." he said to that response gently. "No big deal, we need to check for injuries, but we're here, we might as well scope out what we didn't have time to then, Wes."

"Besides you're not indestructible here you need to rest, before we do this after you got thrown into the wall." Will said to him gently and he nodded to him…

Bridge:

"Will, he okay?" Picard asked and they heard a sigh. "Headache, possibly a concussion, but nothing worse right now, the blast threw him into the wall down here." he said and Tasha ran her hand through her hair. "Well we're not leaving him alone for long, after that hit to the head here." she said and Deanna and Picard nodded in agreement. "Baby don't over do it, you're not walking from job to job, not with that concussion." Beverly said to that news gently.

"Mom it's like the time the alpha gate over loaded, throwing Sanderson out of it so hard, he ended up with a third degree here. That while Jackson was dealing with alerting Admiral Hammond to the fact here. That Carter and O'neill ended up at the SGA at the time." they heard gently and she nodded. "We realize that, but we're not in an emergency situation, as of yet, so try to relax, you get too tense that headache gets worse."

"But at least you never hit a serious one." she said and knew he nodded. "At least it never knocked me unconscious, I hit the wall, but I never blacked out." he said and she and Picard sighed in relief. "That's a relief, it's not like the news of the flight accident, that brat could have killed you, by not putting in the last 5 meters." Picard said and she nodded. "Lovely with our minds 6 years forward, we have these memories we can fix what went wrong now here."

"We caught the first and Wes is about to catch the second, and report it to us, before that parasite starts isolating him from us, with the new members arriving after Kate gets here." Deanna said and Picard nodded in agreement. "Too late, he was phasing in and out alright, that he lost control of the speed, and shot us to the other side of the Triangulum here. Deanna, but he disabled my chip, fortunately I created 2." he said and they nodded.

"Lovely, in case one got disabled, we have a back up right now, I call that fast thinking right now, that most specialists never think up emergency chips." A engineer said and she chuckled. "Well most are not a jack of all trades, Ensign, next year's the big one for us, with us raising him ourselves, till Beverly gets back." Picard said and she and the trio nodded. "Geordi, we best get down there, we need to see what caused his chip to black out." Data said and he nodded then.

"Well 19 trapped in a 15 year old body, he's a teenager and not indestructible, especially not after the flight incident, broken arm, concussion." Geordi said as he stood up. "Thank the gods he rigged a manual emergency stop, just to pull us over, but that was fast thinking here. Nice work Wesley, you did great." Worf said smiling in relief, his student had decided to circumvent their attempt to single him out, he was just a gifted young student, their pride and joy again.

"Mom, dad, Deanna, guys, it's back to this again, reporting in now, before we have further problems. But in pushing the engines to maximum, he's started phasing in and out, it's like what I told you. Before they got on board, they want to test a potential, it's something like this. I just have to reverse the process, and shoot us in the other direction." Wesley said over the radio and they all nodded in understanding to the news.

"But 140 chips, it's going to take us 2 days, to get them back into place in human form here, so we have 3 days to rest, then I send us back in the other direction. So for now, we check injuries and investigate where we ended up here." he said and Picard nodded then gently to his timer. "Agreed, that works, this way you can fix what he did, and reverse it, but once done, you need to rest." Beverly said gently and Picard nodded in agreement, smiling.

"Yeah I agree with him, 3 days running diagnostics, we're no where dangerous, we have the time here right now." Geordi said and Data nodded. "I concur." he said and Picard nodded. "Hold on, wasn't this area where we all started hallucinating?" Worf asked and they heard a gentle response. "No, Worf, that's the Traveler's next attempt to get it working, we can jump that part, because I created a chip to prevent it." Wesley said and Picard sighed in relief.

"Yeah like my cat jumping on the security console, so this prevents a hallucination, your chip, it enhanced the mental blockage, from outside sources, screwing with our focus?" Tasha said to clarify and they heard a gentle remark. "Exactly Tasha, remember the Keeper, input is blocked, so we can project output by focusing on good memories, mental input. That's prevented, so essentially we're like a Jaffa or former host." he said and Worf sighed then.

And in relief to that. "And with being a klingon, you just prevented me from having an outburst, as I focus on the problem at hand. Just so we don't have anyone thinking here we been invaded right now, but that's brilliant, Wesley. Nice thinking, ever since we got together, or back together, your new inventions certainly are making an impact. And in helping us focus here right now at the moment." he said to him and they knew he nodded gently as she smiled gently.

"Nice warning kiddo, now we know why we got shot clear across the universe here." Tasha said to that then and the sextet nodded. "Yes and once we had two nights worth of rest, after we check for injuries, he can set the chips back in place, and send us in the other direction now. But for now, we might as well do what we nearly decided then, take the opportunity here. Just to check this place over." Deanna said gently and Picard nodded in agreement, as they smiled.

"We still use clones, do we not?" Data asked and Picard nodded. "Tasha, next stop around Earth, I ask you to head for the cloning station, so we don't lose you, if your memories reach Armus." he said and she nodded to the order, knowing they were determined to keep from losing her then. "And again people, if I hear anyone dragged up what happened last month, the person that did is getting dragged to him, do I make myself clear." she said and the techs nodded.

"Once we got our new potentials on this ship." Picard clarified, saying it sternly and they nodded as Geordi checked the engineering terminal. "You got to be kidding me here, Sir, the forward flux in power, had the engine pulsing heavily its 75 naquada reactors. Powered and all at once here, that Wes had to disable them all, before we crossed into the Ori home galaxy." he said and Picard nodded gently. "Are we at all stop, Commander." he asked and Geordi went to check.

"What's going on down there exactly." Beverly asked and they heard a sigh. "The Traveler fried the chip, so we're stuck doing full stop manually here. From the engineering room, Bev." Jenson said over the radio and Tasha ran both hands through her hair at that and Picard nodded. "Stand by, I'm working over a new way to fix that, but I'm down here for the duration." Wesley added and Beverly and Picard sighed, knowing what that meant.

"Get our memories back, we're back to this again, alright young man, you're not jumping from job to job, when you're hurt or fatigued, so don't over do it." Picard said gently and Geordi, Data and Worf nodded in agreement. "Reading all stop, sir." Geordi said gently to him and he nodded. "Position?" he asked and he checked. "You got to be kidding, we're 70 light years away from the Ori galaxy." Tasha said and Geordi double checked at that remark as he answered that gently.

"Calculating it, Sir, Data, what do you read there?" he asked and he said it bemused then. "A malfunction, I trust here." he said and Picard looked between them. "Position, Mister La Forge." he said to him then. "Well, Sir, according to these calculations, we've not only left our own galaxy, but passed through two others. Ending up on the far side of Triangulum, the galaxy known as M-33." he said and Picard nodded gently as he and Beverly exchanged looks then.

"That's not possible, Data, what distance have we travelled?" he asked him and he sighed then. "Based on this, we have traveled 2,700,000 light years." he said and he sighed. "I can't accept that." he said with resignation and they nodded. " You must, sir. Our comparisons show it to be completely accurate." he said and Geordi sighed. "And I calculate that at maximum warp, sir it would take over 300 years to get home here." he said and Picard nodded gently to him then.

"Jean Luc, with the fact we have to check for injuries, we might as well sit tight, till everyone is ready to get back to work, especially Wesley. He's the only one that can get us back, but that story he told you, he's not joking, that's exactly what happened. We can fix everything, we know this, Lore had a glitch that had his eye twitch, one that Data doesn't. Data calls him by his nickname, but we been together for 8 months, too easy." Beverly said and he nodded then.

"Alright there we go right now, we caught two more now, Lore is a homicidal maniac, and would a hurt a child, if he had the chance, we're family here. But the bastard tries it twice, he's getting thrown in the torpedo launcher." Geordi said and Picard nodded. "We got time to fix things, and he needs to take it easy, Will keep an eye on him, as he's working right now." he said and they heard a gentle remark. "Aye Sir, he's checking the damage." he said and she smiled gently.

"Issues in being a colony ship, our crew had the tendencies to get into the weirdest predicaments right now. But I call this going too far right now, we got blasted to the edge of the Ori galaxy, who just got the truth 356 years ago. That their gods are demons, and like the greek gods, needed the same thing most of them are still fanatics. And even after 300 years, so watch it, we stay on this side of the line for safety's sake." Beverly said and Picard nodded.

"Good point, alright, is everybody okay here?" he asked and they nodded. "Yes Sir, our teams are checking everyone all over the ship, no more then a few bumps and bruises. Nothing worse then that down here on the crew quarters." Lieutenant Commander, Dr. Elijah Anenzi said over the radio and Picard nodded. "Good thing you came up here, so we know why exactly Beverly, as for this, it's that traveler is in serious trouble." he said and she nodded

Before Worf pressed his hand to the wall, and felt the rumbling then. "Uh Geordi, what happens when a cat starts purring?" he asked and he turned. "Their chest starts rumbling, but it's a sign of pleasure, cats love having their fur stroked, only in this case, when they're happy. They start purring contentedly, why exactly?" Beverly asked and he motioned to the wall. "Who let their cat up here exactly?" Picard asked and she shook her head. "Not the cat." she said to him then.

"Uh Geordi, that sounds like a purring kitten, the ship is really happy here right now." Tasha said and the technician started laughing. "Girl really, is this response really necessary here right now?" he asked, looking up at the ceiling of the bridge, in knowing their ship just went over sized house cat on them and she nodded smiling. "I think she went house cat, and decided her favorite junior technician was Wes." Geordi said and he nodded and Picard chuckled at that.

"Well here's something you don't see every day Guys, she's extremely happy to have her owner fixing her again." Deanna said and Data smiled gently. "She's decided her favorite technician is your student, Tasha." Beverly said and Data smiled in affection as Picard nodded. "We knew he was good, but suddenly our ship grew too attached to him, just wait here. Till he adds Lal to the system, and she's really getting overly protective." He said to her gently at that opinion then.

"Yeah she evidently missed her owner and favorite caretaker, and is now acting like a city sized cat, and her primary caregiver is back to working on her again." Geordi said smiling and Picard nodded with a smile then. "Alright everyone, all hands on deck, everyone stand down for 72 hours, submit yourselves for a medical check up, so we can assess injuries here." he said and the bridge crew nodded then as they exchanged amused smiles at the ships response...

Engineering:

"Alright who let the cat in here, Sarah is that your cat?" Barnfield asked and they froze. "That's not the cat, it sounds like…" Shimoda started to say, and they turned around. "You're kidding me, the engines are doing that?" Will said and Sarah nodded, smiling. "Girl, come on, is this really necessary right now, as I fix what visitor tech did to you." Wesley said, with a smile, as he was checking what had gone wrong, and Sarah chuckled and nodded in agreement gently.

"I think this is what Daniel meant by those sentient ships in that movie series, when being created they're connected to their pilot so long. That only the pilot now, can work on them, without retribution, but she chose her owner, she belongs to Wes, as her pilot and technician." Jenson said and they nodded in agreement. "Uh huh, yeah and with that, when not at the conn, he's in here now fixing whatever damage she took, in emergencies." Will said and they nodded.

"Alright you brats, you never stood a chance here, because the ship answers to Wes, and once Lal is downloaded into the system, the It becomes a She now." MacDougal said sternly at that remark. "Yeah that and the sextet are our students, our favorite students, till we get the Dayton twins and Robin here now." Jenson said in response and Will nodded smiling gently. "Well she grew too attached, and is now acting like a house cat with him." he said and they chuckled.

"Computer, I need a threat assessment to your systems, after that power burst, how severe is the damage, though I just healed your legs, so to speak." Wesley said and they heard a gentle remark. "Threat assessment is minimal Master, but you fixed me enough, I can get us back, but bad entity over charged my engines, I need to rest for 96 hours. And before you turn me around and return us to our home galaxy." it said and Wesley nodded sternly.

"Did that bad tech break your leg or anything?" he asked and they heard a sigh. "I sprained my ankle, in that burst from one side of the black terrain to the other. I need 96 to 120 hours, before my ankle is healed right now, but quite frankly here. I was better off without that upgrade, with you running me at optimal." it said and they nodded. "Do we need to recharge you: sustenance or rest?" he asked and they heard a gentle smile then.

"I have plenty of food to hold me, but I need to rest for a few days Master, before we go home now." it said and Sarah lowered her head, as she started laughing at that. "So 4 to 5 days resting period, before you turn us around, she needs to rest her paws, after that burst. Okay thank you for the warning right now, the captain won't mind here, as we're no where dangerous at the moment." Will said in relief and Wesley nodded gently to that remark then.

"She's not a cheetah, we don't need to open her up, and not after 2 months and just getting started, but that crossed the line here, she skidded in the stop and sprained her ankle. If you were a cat, I'd be petting you right now, but your response to my fixing you. It has every tech cat and my adoptive papa finding this funny." he said to the system in response with an amused smile. "That's the understatement of the century." Shimoda said as they started laughing.

"If that's just a sample of your new program right now, we get the point here right now, Wes, once you upload Lal into the system." Will said with a chuckle at that. "Point taken here right now, instead of an it, it's a partial she now, but add Lal to the system, and it becomes a she. And she's responding to him, like he's her owner right now, but the purring, that's taking being a technician/vet a little too far here now." O'brien said with an amused smile and Will nodded.

"That sounds like a cat." Goldberg said and Will nodded. "Yeah and she chose her favorite junior tech in our cub here." Shimoda said with an amused smile. "I need to redirect power from one engine to another, but we're good here." Wesley said and he smiled. "Point taken here right now, but this is ridiculous, but looks like after, 4 years working on her. She missed you, Wes, and after Etana, she was purring so hard, everyone compromised were in shock at that."

"Well Mr. Kosinski, your attempt just got blown out of proportion, and now my student has to fix what you did to her." Will said sternly and he swallowed hard then. "I never heard a normal ship do this before." he said shaking and they nodded. "Well most ships never have a single teenager fixing what some hotshot technician or scientist like yourself. Just did to said ship's defenses and engines, she just chose my student as her caretaker." he said sternly to him then that remark.

"Great first this and then comes I got to fix the holodeck, before it kills my parents, Lieutenant Whalen and Data next." Wesley said to him and Will nodded. "Easy just relax, you get too tense here, and that headache will get worse, son." he said gently and he nodded. "Son, remember, you're a technician true, but still a young teenager, just entering your mid teens here. You're not indestructible here, buddy." he said and he nodded, as MacDougal squeezed his shoulder.

"I know, but you guys are all that matter to me, my family, my friends, Etana ticked me off Will, but then Nick nearly costs me everything, your trust is all that matters. But never again, and now I know how Daniel feels, but now you're my version of Colonel Dixon." he said and they all nodded as he hugged him tightly. "Love you too son, I get it, nothing's going to change, we just need to get passed Lore and we're done, and everything is good." he said and Wesley nodded

"Son you okay?" Goldberg asked and he nodded. "Other then a headache, yeah I'm fine, but we're stuck in the mud till I fix this, now that he knocked himself unconscious." he said and they nodded. "Well before we do that, we need to check that concussion, you hit the wall pretty hard." Will said gently to him. "He was phasing in and out, there's the power boost, he shoved himself into phase shifting, that it shoved us to 100." he said and Will nodded gently then.

"It wasn't Kosinski, the Traveler did that, in fact there's the side effect, his kind have some interesting powers, but this is like the Ancient Repository. A sudden influx of knowledge, starts over riding the human mind, till you develop several advanced powers. Seems that his are able to shove telekinesis into the system, till it taxes the engines. And till someone with those same powers has to reverse the effect, I'm that someone, with my A.T." he said and Will nodded

"And there's our first fix, after you fixed the engines last month, you told me, and I'm listening here now." he said and Wesley nodded. "Keep the chips out till I turn us around, and we go into the opposite direction, I have to do what I did after getting mom out of the void." he said and they nodded, as Geordi, Worf and Data came in. "He did it again, only now, I got it out to the commander, tell dad, it's reversing course, in opposite sequence." he said and Data nodded.

"Wes." Barnfield said sternly and he took the chip and sighed. "Fortunately I created two of these, but he's not getting near that computer twice here. I can fix this, but we're no where dangerous, so we have plenty of time here." he said and they sighed in relief. "Okay then, before we do that, we got to get you checked out, while sending out a probe here. And start scanning, after that, we get the chips in reverse manner." Argyle said and Will nodded then.

"So now what, we do an alteration of this episode?" Shimoda asked and he nodded. "Agreed, we do that, and make him think he has this in the bag, with him unconscious here right now. As we can act normally, him awake right now, we fake this here." Will said and Wesley nodded then. "And once they're gone, get Jake and you both change into your training uniforms now, but remember, student first, then officer." he said and Wesley nodded smiling to the orders gently.

"Commander Kurland, you read me!" Wesley called out and they heard a fast response. "Yeah go ahead, Wes." he said and Wesley smiled. "The Captain and Commander activated Jake for on the job training, so if we fail the entrance exams, we can train, till our timers run out. But we're on, and it's us, Sarah, Brad, Jason and Christy for now, before we add Data's daughter." he said and they heard a smile. "Roger that, I'll tell him." he said and Will nodded then.

"That's fine, I'll handle this." Worf said and he nodded, as Worf headed back upstairs then, as he moved to Picard. "Wesley just reported it, the Traveler started phasing in and out, which explains the power boost." he said in an undertone and Picard nodded in relief he told him that. "Thank you Lieutenant, I needed that." he said to him. "The Commander activated him fully now, and just activated Jacob." he said and Picard nodded gently as he went to report it then.

"He's also getting worried after you, the Doctor, Lieutenant Whalen and Data got stuck in the holodeck right now." he added and he and Beverly nodded. "Who wouldn't be here right now, that nearly killed Whalen, and nearly his mother, Data and me with him. But that's enough in screwing with the electronics, you find a glitch, tell us so we can have it fixed here. And before someone else gets trapped in there right now." he said sternly and she nodded in agreement.

As she gripped his arm then and he nodded gently. "Well I don't trust the hotshots out of us with that Kolrami character showing up, Will's the best tactician we have. And he got his training from Colonel Jackson, but he and Daniel chose some really good ideas and Robert. He always used those ideas, at the time, but we're exploration, not a soldier force. Everything Dan taught him, we used, and he looks up to you and the guys." she said and he nodded, smiling gently.

In knowing then that his prize pupils were the best they had at the academy, before they added a bunch of hotshots. And things started getting out of hand the next two years, before he kicked the quintet off the ship. When he found them then, in knowing who caused Wesley to catch that virus, after Jaan Devin. As this mission took a new direction as they got to work then, as it was going to be one for the record books, with them bordering trapped 5 years older mentally then.

"Captain's log, stardate 41263.2. This will be a rather unusual log entry, assuming Starfleet ever receives it. As I have already informed my crew, a phenomenal surge of power during a warp speed experiment. That has sent our starship hurtling out of our own galaxy, past another, taking us over 2,700,000 light years in a few minutes, under personal note. Lieutenant Crusher has reported here to me now that our mysterious alien has the power to phase shifting."

"And has increased the power so highly, that we got shot to the edge of the Triangulum, with Crusher's help, we came to safe emergency stop. And till Crusher corrects what our Traveler caused..." he said, ending it at that, as he, Geordi, Will and Data discussed how to handle this, as Geordi read out the time. "Message on this has been transmitted to Starfleet, Sir." he said and Data finished that, hiding a bemused smile, knowing this situation started things.

"Which, traveling subspace, they should receive in fifty-one years, ten months nine weeks, sixteen days…" he said and Picard said it with a bemused smile. "Mister Data…" he said gently and he turned. "Sir?" he said to that as Kosinski, Will and Argyle came in then. "Captain Picard, I presume?" he asked and Picard crossed his arms. "We're still trying to determine what happened, Sir, the good news is Wes pulled us over safely." Will said and Picard nodded then.

"The truth is, Captain, I made a mistake: A wonderful, incredible mistake." Konsinski said and Picard said it. "Just explain what brought us here." he said with a warning tone. "As the power grew, I applied the energy asymptomatically. I anticipated some tilling, but it didn't occur. Now that was my error, using the Bessel functions at the beginning." he said to him then gently. "What is he saying, Number One?" he asked and he sighed as he answered him then gently.

"To tell the truth, Sir, it sounds to me like nonsense to me. But considering…" Will started to say and Picard nodded. "Considering where we are, we must assume it isn't, maybe Wesley can answer this question, before that Traveler wakes up." he said and he nodded, before they got a response to that over the radio then. "Too late, he's awake right now, Sir, and Wes is with his mother, watching him." Doctor Elijah Anenzi said and they nodded sternly to the news.
