For three months straight, there weren't any news from Ryo. Cid got back tot he academy, where they practiced some basic Ninjutsu and Taijutsu for the rest of the school year.

(The day of the genin exams)

It was the day of the career start for some kids, but for some, it meant another year in the academy.

Cid got up in time, and went straight to the academy.

In the academy, some kids were there already. Cid sat at his usual spot, in the corner of the room, next to the window.

About 15 minutes later, everyone took their seats and the bell rang, as Iruka came in.

-Hello students! This is a very big day for you all. Today you will take the genin exams. The first part will be a written exam, then we go on to the practical exam. In the practical exam, you will have to do the clone jutsu. If you fail on one of the exams, you have to retake the exam next year.

After Iruka's speach, Mizuki, Iruka's helper, gave out the papers.

Cid got trough the paper in a few minutes, and he handed it in. After that he had to wait through 40 minutes, while the other students finished.

As everyone finished, it was turn for everyone to do the clone jutsu, in another room.

(The practical exam)

Everyone got called into the room, where they had to do the clone jutsu.

It was now Cid's turn to perform. He got into the room, where he was met with Iruka and Mizuki. On the table there were the headbands.

-So, Cid. You'r only task is to do the clone jutsu. If you can perform it, you are a genin. When you are ready, you do it. -Said Iruka as he sat back.

Cid did the handseals, and another Cid appeared besides him.

-Nicely done Cid. Here's your headband. You are now officially part of Konoha's Shinobi force. -Said Mizuki with a grin.

When he was done, he went to the photo room, where they took a picture of him, the he left.

(A few hours later, in the woods)

Naruto reading the scroll of seals, and had already learned the shadow clone jutsu. As he sat down, Iruka appeared.

-Naruto! Have you gone insane? Did you really steal the scroll of seals? -Asked Iruka, but he already knew the answer.

-Yes! But why is that a problem. Mizuki-san told me, that if I can steal it, I instantly become a genin, and I have learned the shadow clone jutsu! -Said Naruto.

-Did Mizuki say that to you? -Asked Iruka confusedly.

As Iruka's words got out of his mouth, Mizuki appeared.

-Iruka! Leave me and Naruto to talk in peace. -Said Mizuki.

-Mizuki! What are you doing? Why did you ask Naruto to steal the scroll? What are your plans? -Asked Iruka.

-My plans are secret. Now, Naruto! Why don't you give me the scroll of seals. You can become a genin this way. This is the first step to becoming the Hokage. Isn't that your dream?

-Something here doesn't seem good to me. Why do you need the scroll. I won't give it to you. I want to learn more. -Said Naruto.

-So you won't give it to me. Then, I HAVE TO KILL YOU! -Said Mizuki as he rushed for his attack.

He threw a fuma shuriken to Naruto, but Iruka saved him.

(A few minutes before)

Cid was casually walking through the woods. He was done with his exercises, he just wanted some rest.

As he was walking, he heard Iruka's screams. It was a painful scream. He smelled the blood. He wanted to help Iruka. He wanted to run there help him up, but he frooze. His insticnts kicked in, and he ran to the first rock that he could find.

After Naruto, Iruka and Mizuki left, Cid lost his conscionusness.

(Cid's mind)

In his mind, again, there stood Ryo.

-Cid! So we meet again. -Said Ryo.

-Ryo! Did I lose conscionussness again? -Asked Cid.

-You did indeed. But as we are here. I might as well tell you, that you're able to begin training, in the usage of my powers. You've just witnessed a person get fatally wounded. This was the crucial point, that you had to experience. If you get back in the real world, you might as well remove your eyepatches.

-Okay, but what if I don't have enough time to train.

-You will have. This is your special power. No matter what, you need to train. We will begin shortly, but there are some things, that I need to worry about, before starting your training.

-Understood.

-As I see, you are going back. Goodby for now.

With that, Cid was back to the real world.

(The next day)

Cid -as every day- got up, and went to the academy, for the team sorting. He didn't really care, which team is he going to be in. He just wanted to doh is job, get his money, and promotions.

He got into the academy, everyone got sorted, until Team 7 was on the line.

-For Team 7, the members are Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Cid. -Said Iruka.

-Why is that Sasuke gets into a team without girls. Every other team has a girl in it. -Said a Sausuke fangirl.

-It's because of the sorting system. The student, that barely got into genin, needs to get into a team, where there is the most prominent student, who's way was into genin before he even did the exams. And for the third member, we put a student, that is in the middle. For why there isn't a girl, it's because we would need a girl in the middle, but we don't have one. -Said Iruka.

-Unfair. -Said the Sasuke fangirl club.

-Back to Team 7. Your jonin sensei is going to be Hatake Kakashi. Wait here until he arrives.

Every student got into a team, while their sensei's were picking them up. The last team was Team 7. They were waiting for Kakashi. One and a Half hours passed by, but he wasn't there.

-I'm getting bored. I'm going to set a trap for this Kakashi guy. -Naruto got up, grabbed a sponge, and put it on the door.

Nobody said a thing. A few seconds pass by, and Kakashi comes by the door, and the sponge lands on his head.

-So this is my team. A bunch of Idiots. -Said Kakashi. -Let's go outside, and get through the introductions.
