Soon after, the teacher called Richie's group to enter the elevator. Darren, of course, was happy to ride an elevator.
"Alright, Cunningham's group! 1215!" The teacher called out. "Step in this elevator, Right here."
"Oh man, this really does has a nice cab!" Darren said.
"Whats a cab?" Richie said.
"It's basically just the design of the elevator itself. Like the inside dry-wall and sometimes chandelier in select elevators."
"Oh, that makes sense."
While waiting to go upstairs, Ralph felt weird inside the elevator.
"I have a bad feeling about this elevator." Ralph said. "Whats wrong with it?"
"I think we will be fine, it's only 12 floors that we are going up." Potsie said.
"This elevator seems pretty new, I think we will be fine everybody." Richie said to all. "It says here that it was installed in 1955, not too long ago."
The teacher showed up in-front of the elevator, getting everyone's attention.
"Alright, just do whatever while you're going up. Make sure to go straight into your room, got it?" The teacher said to the group.
"We got it, sir." Richie said, acting like the leader.
The teacher was about to push the floor button, but Darren hit it first.
"You must be eager to stay in the hotel, Darren." The teacher said.
"No, how do you not know I just love elevators?" Darren asked the teacher.
Darren also pressed the "Close Door" button, which made the elevator close. The elevator then started to move.
"Wow, this is..fast." Richie said, as the elevator accelerated quickly.
The elevator moved quickly, causing wind to be heard rushing past the car.
"Is that me or can I hear the wind howling through the shaft?" Potsie said.
"The vents down at the bottom of the cab allow you to hear that." Darren said.
They watched the indicator, which had numbers horizontally ordered from 1-17. It was placed above the door frame. They all watched the numbers count. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.
It was only when they reached the 11th floor when something went wrong...
