A/N: For a while, I was good with NaruHina - having written a story called Warm Hug - but because of KagamiPINKAgreste, I've been getting into these two more, so I wrote this one for her. Happy National Hug Day!

It was a cool winter Sunday in Konohagakure – The Village Hidden In the Leaves – and Hinata Hyuga was out and about doing her usual weekend shopping. Overall, it was a very non-notable day for her, and she saw no reason why it would be any different from any other Sunday. Still, she liked the slow, relaxed pace of the weekends.

"Hinata! Hey, Hinata!"

Hinata turned around when she heard that familiar voice addressing her. Running towards her and waving at her was her teammate Kiba Inuzuka, with his dog Akamaru in tow.

"Hi Kiba. What are you doing here?"

Kiba smiled. "Oh, I just found out about the best holiday ever and I wanted to celebrate it with you!"

Hinata stroked her chin. "Funny, I don't remember there being a holiday today. What exactly is today?"

"It's National Hug Day!"

Hinata raised her eyebrows. "'National Hug Day?' I believe you, but are you telling me that you want a hug from me?"

"Exactly!"

Hinata smiled. "All right, I'll let you hug me!"

"Great!"

Kiba and Hinata went up to each other and gave each other a big hug, and Akamaru even nuzzled against Hinata's leg. When he first met her, Kiba thought Hinata was a good friend, but as they got older, and as the effects of puberty kicked in, he had been seeing her in a different light. Not only did he find her to be the most attractive woman he'd ever met, but he admired the way she'd always fought beside him and would do anything she could to help him out. She'd gone from being a shy little flower to…well, she was still a flower, albeit one with a hell of a lot more thorns, and that was another thing he found attractive about her. Plus, the fact that she was the softest, warmest, most cuddly woman he'd ever held made it even better for him. She was the exact kind of woman he wanted to spend his life with.

Hinata was extremely glad she met Kiba as well. In her earlier years, when she was just beginning to learn about the subtleties of romance, she thought that her dear friend and classmate Naruto Uzumaki was going to be the one for her. However, it turned out that even though he was a good guy, his goofball, free spirited personality wasn't exactly what she was looking for in a man. For a time, she thought she'd never find anybody, but now that she was holding Kiba in her arms, she felt that much more confident in herself. Not only did she enjoy having his strong, manly arms wrapped around her and the fact that Akamaru liked her so much, but her mind flashed back to a time when he saved her life against some members of the Akatsuki. She would forever be grateful for this moment, and she too wanted to be with him forever. Eventually, though, Hinata let go.

"Thanks, Hinata!"

Hinata smiled. "You're welcome, Kiba!"

"Hey, mind if I have another?"

Akamaru barked excitedly.

"Well…all right."

Hinata hugged Kiba again. Even though this hug didn't last as long as the other one, they still got the same warm and fuzzy feelings.

"Hey Hinata, wanna maybe grab lunch or somethin'?"

"I have to go shopping right now, but I'll see you for supper. Naruto told me about this place that serves really good chicken wings. Here, let me give you the name and address of the place…"

Hinata pulled a pen and a notepad from her cleavage and wrote the name and address of the chicken wing place before handing the paper to Kiba.

"Thanks a bunch! See ya later!" Kiba waved at Hinata.

"Bye, see you later!"

Hinata waved to Kiba and Akamaru as she headed on, while Kiba looked forward to a date with the most beautiful blunette in Konohagakure…and maybe more.

Criticism is gold. Negativity and nitpicking are pyrite.
