A/N: I've always thought that KamiJiro was a cute pairing, but up until now, I never had any fanfic ideas for them. That aside, Happy National Hug Day!
It was a cold winter's day in Musutafu City, but Kyoka Jiro was keeping warm in her UA dorm by playing a Martin acoustic guitar, gently strumming the opening riff to "Feel Like Makin' Love" by Bad Company. While she usually preferred shredding on an electric axe, and while she usually preferred alternative rock/metal, she was good with checking out the classics, too. After all, it was nice to know where her favorite bands got their inspiration from. Then, while she was strumming along, somebody knocked on her door.
"Come in."
The door opened, and in stepped Denki Kaminari. Jiro set her guitar aside.
"Hey Jiro!" Kaminari waved at Jiro.
"Oh hey, Kaminari. You're looking especially cheerful today. Care to explain?"
Kaminari sat down next to Jiro on her bed. "Well, I discovered this awesome holiday, and I wanted to share it with ya!"
Jiro smirked. "Lemme guess, it's 'National Short Circuit Your Brain Day'?"
Kaminari gave Jiro a deadpan look. "Ha ha." His smile returned. "But seriously, it's actually National Hug Day!"
Jiro put her index finger on her chin. "National Hug Day? Never heard of that one, but I'm gonna presume you came here because you wanted a hug from me."
Kaminari rubbed the back of his head. "Well…yeah!"
Jiro smiled. "Well…all right, but only because I like you so much."
Kaminari and Jiro gave each other a big hug. Despite being known as a girl-crazy fool, Kaminari did actually have a sensitive side to him, and it was this part of him that said that getting a hug from his favorite girl was the best thing ever. Besides, nothing could beat the sheer warmth of a cozy hug. Even if Jiro wasn't the softest, most cuddly or most stacked girl he'd ever met, that didn't matter to him, because to him, she had so many other qualities – inside and out – that he considered very attractive, and he considered himself the luckiest guy on Earth to have her. Granted, he wasn't thinking about marriage at this very moment, but still, he couldn't think of any other girl he'd rather be with.
Similarly, Jiro couldn't think of any other guy that she would rather have been with. Even if Kaminari was a bit of a perv and a joker, she knew deep down inside that he was a noble soul deserving of the title "hero". Besides that, though, they shared so many things in common, such as their love of playing musical instruments. To her, his voice was like the sweetest love song she'd ever listened to, and combined with his strong, manly grip, she felt like this was one of the best – if not the best – days ever. Being in his arms, all she wanted to do was spend the night with him forever and ever. Plus, it made her forget about any self-esteem issues she'd suffered from. Eventually, she let go, but not without a smile on her face.
"Thank you so much, Kaminari. You're my favorite boyfriend ever."
Kaminari smiled, too. "You're welcome, Jiro, and thanks for sharing that hug with me! You're my favorite girlfriend ever, too!"
Jiro chuckled. "It's my pleasure!"
"By the way, can I have another one?"
Jiro ruffled Kaminari's hair. "OK, let's not get greedy, Jamming-Yay!"
"HEY!"
Jiro giggled. "But seriously, though, if you wanna hang out some more, you're welcome to it."
"Great!"
And so, Kaminari and Jiro continued to hang out, not doing anything in particular but jamming together. It was indeed one of the most beautiful love songs.
Criticism is gold. Negativity and nitpicking are pyrite.
