"...Care to repeat what you just told me?" Richmond in full Nighthawk suit asked Gwen in the Nightcave as she was wearing her full Nightbird suit. Gwen faced him looking dead serious.

"I am going to tell him that I'm Nightbird... I don't know if I am going to go to his window in suit or find him as Spider-Man and then take off my mask... But I want to tell him... All this time; after everything we have been through... I can't continue this with him knowing that I am living a lie... I don't know how I held myself back when he decided to trust me enough to tell me that he is Spider-Man... The guilt I feel..." Gwen told him shaking his head.

"Gwen; it's best that you break things off with him. Your professionalism in this assignment have been compromised..." Richmond told her as she then glared at him.

"You can forget about it... What I feel now; it's real... I am going to continue things with him and I won't be living a lie..." Gwen retorted as Richmond then got her arm so that she could look at his stern expression.

"I forbid you from continuing things with Parker. Break it off with him now; I am looking out for you... Don't make me take the suit away from you and take away your access to the Nightcave. Remember who took you in and helped give you a bigger purpose after your father's death..." Richmond told her as Gwen ripped her arm away from him.

"Was I a tool for you? A girl mourning her father lost in the line of duty and in you come to turn me into a weapon for your war against crime? Used my grief and my stupid high school girl's crush on you to mould me? I feel disgusted that I fantasised about us doing it on top of a building now..." Gwen snapped at him taking her mask off and then throwing it at him as she went to change out of her suit. "All I have wanted to do is help people... Why I am studying to be a psychiatrist like Mum and why I agreed to be trained by you so that I could be a caped crusader like you..." Gwen ranted as she was back in her normal clothes and ended up leaving.

Peter then began dodging the punches and kicks from the LMDs who could move fast as he put in his own punches and kicks. The Argonite ended up being dropped from Coulson's hand and Peter began jumping about more and kicking him but they ended up becoming overwhelmed along with Coulson. "Nighthawk trained to be the world's best fighter and I can bet that these were programmed with his fighting style along with how many they are..." Coulson told him as Peter was tossed into a trophy cabinet.

He managed to grab a spear that had come from Kraven the Hunter (who Peter would end up fighting as Kraven saw an actual superhuman hero for him to hunt in the city). He managed to pierce it through the body of a LMD but he ended up stepping on something as he jumped forward.

He groaned as he saw that he had stepped hard on the Argonite as Coulson noticed but then hundreds of ants came forward on the ground and ended up overwhelming the LMDs allowing Peter and Coulson to meet up with Scott and make their escape.

They got to the van as Fury was there to sternly ask "so just how FUBAR did the plan turn out?"

"I may have set an emergency alarm off and stepped on the Argonite..." Peter admitted and just sighed at the dirty looks he was getting.

Ater they had all arrived at the barbershop; Fury looked at Peter and said "so Parker; as you said you set off the alarms? Stepped on the Argonite and now the most paranoid man in the world will know to beef up his security?"

"I am sorry... Plus were you planning on killing Hyperion down the line? Don't you think that he could be a victim of all this as well?" Peter asked as he got looks and groaned hoping that he didn't need to elaborate.

"You are just looking at the big red and yellow flying space god through your own fanboy rose tilted lenses... You know those countries that he and Spectrum helped devastate with the US military; you think that they think that he's the victim?" Fury then retorted as Castle was glaring hard at Peter.

"Plus tell that to the graves of my family and all the people people who had their lives destroyed by their big brawls and then had their losses listed as collateral damage!" Castle then told Peter who got up and got ready.

"Look... I couldn't help looking at his files and I don't think you would have resisted as well... I found out... My late girlfriend... She was Nightbird... She was ordered to be close to me by Nighthawk... I just found out that my relationship was a lie..." Peter explained as Coulson was shocked as well as Scott. Even Fury had a tinge of sympathy on his face.

"Boo-hoo.. You let your feelings cloud your judgement... You don't have the nerve for this job... The Nightbird got close to you and paid the price just like your uncle..." Castle mocked as Peter was staring up at him with a glare.

"Watch your mouth..." Peter warned him as Castle scoffed.

"Or what... You're just a kid playing dress up while the big boys here are doing all the real work... I mean what I say; you're just a reckless idiot who gets everyone who cares about you killed..." Castle then said and Peter in his state of mind wasn't one to mock and Castle was intterupted as he socked hard on the jaw by Peter.

Castle yelled out in pain as Peter then easily kicked him down to the ground; "I was holding back when I kicked your sorry butt..You claim that I am just a kid playing dress up but you are the one who thinks that he could take on the entire superhuman community and win single handedly... We don't like eachother but if we are going to work together then you better watch your mouth... Or else I will have your butt dragged to the nearest precinit... You really think that you are so invaluable that Fury would risk driving away his inside man in the Squadron Supreme?" Peter warned him as Fury and Coulson were stunned and impressed while Scott was cheering.

"I wish I could do that Spidey... Up top!" Scott then said putting up his arm and Peter then decided to give him the high five.

"So; you think that you can watch your tongue?" Fury asked Castle who got up holding his jaw; he ended up glaring at Peter but it seemed that he was humbled enough to grunt while nodding. "Now while today's failure is annoying and a set back... Nothing we can't bounce back from so why don't you just go and rest Mr Parker..." Fury then said as Peter then headed back up.

Richmond in his Nighthawk suit was doing all he could to keep back his anger as he looked at the trashed up Nightcave; "Whoever is responsible for all of this... Their biggest mistake so far was thinking that they could get away with directly targeting me... The mortal man who manages to stand shoulder to shoulder with gods..." Richmond said as he had to leave what he was doing in Chicago to react to the alert of someone breaking into his place of operations and Jarvis out doing an errand out of town.

He ended up doing a scan of the entire area for clues as well as checking the security footage on his computer. He looked to the person in all black and mask, "Scan the movements and fighting style of the masked individual... Cross reference it with all available footage of Spider-Man..." Richmond said having a sneaking suspicion. "If I am right and no reason to think otherwise... He will pay for this and driving the closest thing to a daughter that I had away from me to her death..." Richmond swore clenching his fist.

Peter was resting on his bed watching TV; a special WHIH News interview with Walker taking place in the football stadium of his old high school where he was the team captain. Peter then noticed a framed photo of him and Gwen and picked it up; glaring he then threw it to the ground. He looked to a box of stuff that had belonged to Gwen that her mother had given him after the funeral.

"You meant the world to her Peter..." Mrs Stacy told Peter drying a tie as she gave him the box.

Peter then saw that inside it included a hard drive that he hadn't yet had it in him to check out and jsut dropped it back in the box. Looking back in disgust; he then looked and saw where his Power Princess figure stood with Bur and he smiled at her. He heard an alert from his communication device which had a notice saying that he was scheduled with Zarda to be on a talk show in a few days.

Thinking back to hard drives he booted up his computer and put in the hard drive. He looked to some of the newer files in the Project: Hyperion folder. He saw a recruitment notice for Emil Burbank not long after he was publicly revealed to the world; Peter knew the name as he was known as Master Menace and Hyperion's arch foe. Had been locked up tight at the supervillain prison the Raft.

Peter remembered in the Squadron Supreme membership notice that he had gotten that it included being able to have private meetings with prisoners at the Raft. He wondered about talking to a direct source...
