Drakken Joe's plans seem to be in motion now. Just when Demon King and Kyubi defeated Jinn and Sylph, Joe's secret project was operational now. All of them saw a large pillar of light shoot straight to the top. Demon King and Kyubi landed down from their duel boards and stared up at the tower.
"What is that thing, Eden?" Demon King asked.
"I have no information on this matter." Eden said. None of them liked how things were unfolding and people were starting to get out of there because of it. Soon, the pillar was turning red and it solidify into a red mass that stretched out to the ground and the sky.
"What just happened?" Kyubi questioned.
"It seems to have become some sort of organic tissue-like structure that has taken root in both the sky and the ground." Eden said. "I have never seen anything like this before." That was just when Aoneko and Wiseman logged themselves back in.
"There you two are!" Aoneko said.
"Glad to see you both are okay, but what happened?" Demon King asked.
"I don't know. By the time we found Drakken Joe, he activated that...whatever it is." Wiseman said. "What happened with Jinn and his sister?"
"We defeated them, but they broke apart into data upon our victory." Kyubi said.
"We saw their data." Aoneko said. "It looked like it was absorbed and went into the core of that weird tower. This is looking all kinds of bad. Just what is Drakken Joe doing?" None of them could begin to understand what that thing was. That was until Eden became alerted.
"We have a message...from Piratetress!" Eden said. That was great because if anyone knew anything about what was going on, it might be her. "It seems she knows all about what's going on."
"So, where is she? Why isn't she coming here to help us?" Wiseman questioned.
"Sadly, it seems she is not able to at the moment." Eden said. That wasn't good for them. They could really use her help.
"So what did she say?" Kyubi questioned.
"It seems she was able to figure out what Drakken Joe's grand master plan is." Eden claimed. "What we are looking at is a tower that Drakken Joe has constructed himself, and it's a very dangerous tower. It's uploading a virus that is spreading through the entire network."
"A virus?! Spreading through the entire network?!" Aoneko said. "What for?"
"She claims that Drakken Joe's true objective is to gain complete control over the entire network." Eden said. "That tower is uploading a virus to all network systems around the entire world. Once it's completed, Drakken Joe will have access and control to whatever he likes within the network."
"Control over the entire network?! Can something like that really be accomplished?!" Wiseman said.
"Well, it just might since we're looking at that thing right now." Kyubi said.
"What would happen if he would do something like that?" Demon King questioned.
"He would basically have complete control over everything." Eden said.
"She's right." Aoneko said as she didn't like how things were unfolding. In fact, it was terrifying a man could be given so much power. "Think of what relies on the network and the internet these days. If he manages to take control of the network, he could really control everything. Banks, hospitals, communication lines, transportation, power plants... Drakken Joe could practically control the entire world."
"And he's using Duel Links to help power it. It's absorbing the data around us to help power itself. That would explain what happened to those who have been defeated." Eden said.
"They were absorbed into that thing?!" Demon King said as that meant they might not awake in the real world.
"We've got to do something. There must be a way to stop this thing." Kyubi said. "We can't just simply let this happen."
"Kyubi is right. Is there a way to stop it?" Wiseman questioned.
"There might be... We have to defeat Drakken Joe to do that." Eden said. "Elsie is working in the real world and is trying to sotp it, but we might have a better chance here. Unfortunately, I am unsure how much time we have before it's fully activated. That is why it might be best that we split-up and take different paths to the tower. We might not have a lot of time to lose."
"But wait. That would have to mean we have to duel, and if we duel and win, the ones we defeat will be absorbed as well." Demon King said as he certainly didn't want that to happen.
"I know it might be hard, but we have to do something." Wiseman said. "Besides, if we win this, we could end up freeing all the data that thing is absorbing. That means we can free and all those who are being held inside."
"Wiseman is right. We must do something and this could save them." Kyubi said. "It's a chance we have to take."
"Demon King, I don't like this anymore than you do." Aoneko said. "However, Piratetress brought us together so that we could stop this. Your grandfather was working on stopping this guy himself. I don't quite get it all myself, but I think we're pass the point of no return. We've got to do something." Demon King didn't like it, but he understood it.
"Okay. Let's each take our own path to save time and then regroup at the tower. Remember that Drakken Joe still has three underlings to help him. Jinn and Sylph were tough, and I'm sure they will be just as tough." Demon King warned. "Not to mention Drakken Joe himself is just as dangerous." All of them understood and hurried as fast as they could in hopes that they can stop the tower.

Drakken Joe
With the activation of Drakken Joe's tower, all that was left for him to do is watch it work. He stood right on his tower and could see that it was already taking in affect. All he had to do was wait until the network was fully his.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Joe said.
"You can say that again." Fie said. "I can't believe we're soon going to have complete control over everything in the world."
"Ooh! I can just imagine the kind of fun we're going to have. All the pain and torture." Daichi said as he acted like he was on cloud nine.
"You two need to settle down. Let's not forget that we ended up losing two of our own in order for this tower to be operational." Laguna said.
"That's true, but it's our gain." Joe said. "Still, those meddlesome brats are going to get involved. I don't know why, but they persist on getting in my way. Demon King and his little friends think they can just keep meddling in my affairs."
"You want us to take care of them?" Fie said.
"Exactly. I want you three to show them what happens when you dare go against Drakken Joe." He ordered and all three of them followed through with that order. Anxiously awaiting for all of his plans to come to fruition, he certainly isn't going to allow anyone to get in his way.

Wiseman
Wiseman made his own way to the tower. The group decided to take different paths to the tower to try and save some time in case any of them get caught or stalled by Joe or his forces. He rode on his special motorcycle and tried to get their faster.
"I'll be there in no time." Wiseman said. It seemed like smooth sailing from here, but he ended up jinxing himself. Suddenly, a geyser of water shot into the air and completely blocked him off. He had to suddenly pull over and stop when that happened. "What the heck?"
"I'm afraid I can't let you go any further." That was when Laguna emerged out of the water and faced him.
"You're the one named Laguna, aren't you? You're one of those Element 4 guys." Wiseman said.
"That I am. Sylph was the one that represents wind. I'm the one that represents water." Laguna said. "Just what do you and your friends think you are doing?"
"What does it look like? We're planning to save the virtual world and knock down that tower of yours." Wiseman said.
"You and your friends are crazy if you think you can actually take on the likes of Drakken Joe. Do you really think you have a chance?" Laguna said.
"I don't really know, but it's better than doing nothing." Wiseman said. "So, I'm only going to say this once. Move out of the way or I'll have to move you."
"Bring it on." Laguna said as he was ready to duel him and Wiseman was willing to face him. "This is a lot of hassle, but I don't want to get on Drakken Joe's bad side. He gave me the orders to take down you and your friends, since you are the ones meddling in our business, and that's what I'm going to do." The two stood facing each other and plans on taking the other down.
"Let's duel!" Both of them said as their duel was now beginning with them having 4000LP.
"I'm making the first move!" Wiseman said as he was going first. "I'll start by summoning Machia Word to the field!" He summoned out his machine soldier with it having 1400atk points. "Next, his special ability allows me to summon another machine from my hand. Come on out, Machia Excel!" He said as he summoned out his tuner monster with 1200atk points. "Now, I tune my level three Machia Excel with my level four Machia Word!" He said as the synchro sequence was underway. "Modernize by the advancement of technology, a steel warrior and hero of the truth emerges! I synchro summon Arsenal!" He summoned out his go-to monster with it having 2300atk points. 'I better play this smart. I can't afford to lose one of my best cards already.' "I activate Arsenal's ability! I can now take any equip spell from my deck to my hand, and I'll activate it now. I activate Machine Conversion Factory! This spell will give Arsenal another 300atk points." He said as Arsenal's power increased to 2600. "I place one card facedown and that ends my turn."
"My turn, and it will have you crying in tears." Laguna said as he drew his card. "I set the pendulum scale with my Scale 2 Crying Statue with Scale 9 Crying Sculpture."
"Pendulum?!" Wiseman said as he didn't like the sound of that. That was when two statues that appeared to be crying emerged in pillars of light. One that looked like it was praying with tears had the number 2 and the one that appeared to be crying and reaching for the sky had the number nine.
"I take it you know what this means. I'm now free to summon monsters from levels three to eight all at once. I pendulum summon!" He called upon three monsters that were the same. "I pendulum summon three Crying Maidens Level 3" He summoned out three nun-like creatures in blue outfits that looked like little girls and made out of metal with them looking like they were crying. Each one had 1000atk points. "I activate the special abilities of all three Crying Maidens. Your monster loses 300atk points for each one."
"That's 900!" Wiseman said. Each one of the maidens cried and caused Arsenal's power to drop to 1700.
"I'm afraid it's going to drop even more. I activate Level Up!" Laguna said. "By releasing one of Crying Maidens, I can now summon Crying Maiden Level 5!" One appeared to have grown and looked older and bigger with her having 2000atk points. "When Crying Maiden Level 5 is summoned, your monster loses another 500atk points." His bigger maiden unleashed another cry with Arsenal's power dropping down to 1200. "Now I activate the pendulum ability of Crying Statue. Once per turn, you take damage equal to the difference between Arsenal's original and current attack points."
"I what?!" Wiseman said as he didn't like that. Laguna's statue unleashed a cry of its own and blasted Wiseman with his life points dropping down to 2900.
"I'm afraid the crying isn't over. Crying Maiden Level 5, attack his Arsenal! Screaming Cry!" His monster unleashed a powerful cry and it blasted against Arsenal.
"I activate Arsenal's ability! I can just sent the card he is equipped with to the graveyard and he survives being destroyed!" Wiseman said as he lost life points with them dropping down to 2100 with Arsenal's power dropping to 900.
"But you won't be able to do that again." Laguna said. "One of my lower level Crying Maidens can attack and destroy your monster. Crying Cry!" He had his monster attack again with a powerful cry that destroyed Arsenal with Wiseman's life points dropping down to 2000. "And now my third monster can attack you directly!" His third maiden attacked again and blasted him really hard with him knocked to the ground with his life points dropping down to 1000. The duel has just started and Wiseman is already falling far behind. If Wiseman doesn't figure out how to beat Laguna, Wiseman is the one that is going to cry.
