Anybodys collapsed face-first onto Audrey's strangely in the living room bed, feeling it shift slightly as she perched much more gently on its edge. The sensations and visuals incurred during the course of their late nights at The Gutter, still haunting him practically like he was still there and would never be able to escape... exactly like that... were getting harder and harder to vanquish from his mind and body... and seemingly getting harder and harder in general. If no one touches me ever again it'll be too soon... He ignored and mostly didn't notice whatever those new sounds beside him were before halfheartedly shifting his head to look up at Audrey as she addressed him. "Hey, at least you've got this now." The needle in her hands and its glorious masculinizing substance that he had yearned for all his life and only learned of the existence of a few agonizingly long months ago did indeed improve the situation. "...Would you like my help with this? I understand if you'd still rather not have anyone touching you, especially after... you know."
...Huh... the idea of it being her is fine for some reason... but no one else!... 'till tomorrow night anyway... Anybodys willed himself to sit up on the bed and beside her, surprising her for some reason by lowering the waistband of his jeans halfway to his knees so that they could do this the way she had suggested. "...Yeah, thanks." She appeared to recover from her initial shock, breaking into a small, shy smile and preparing the needle at its proper position above his hopefully soon to be thinner thigh. "This'll probably hurt a little bit... I don't know why exactly mine comes in pills and yours doesn't." For the first time in his life, Anybodys found himself relishing in a piercing pain. He was vaguely impressed and amused as Audrey smoothly pulled a small container of weird white stuff and a handful of bandages out from under the mattress without even looking at what she was doing. "Do you want any of this? This-" She maneuvered the container so that it was at her fingertips, emphasizing it. "Should help with any pain." Anybodys tilted his head at her confusedly before shaking his head and returning his waistband to its prior position. "...Nah, I'm fine... but why d'ya have all this stuff?"
Before Audrey could answer, a knock at the door started off normal and then ended off with... some kind of weirdly ominous sliding noise? Audrey apparently found it to be ominous as well, based on her expression. "...I didn't... he s-shouldn't be coming here tonight..." She flinched harder than he had ever seen at another louder knock. "Get under the bed. I'll try to keep him outside." ...Who is this guy, thinkin' he can just make my friend scared like this and leave with all 'is bones and ability to tell the tale intact? As Audrey hesitantly slunk towards the front door, Anybodys partially obeyed her by crouching on the side of the bed opposite it so that he couldn't be seen by any unsavory scum daring to stand at the entrance of her apartment. He heard the door open, immediately followed by the unmistakable sound of a hand making forceful contact with a face, a pained yelp from Audrey, and a gruff voice weirdly calmly saying something along the lines of "You don't get to the door fast enough. You tranny."
Anybodys barely managed to stop himself from charging towards the door right then and there. The shadows. Right. Always the shadows... He skillfully stalked around the margins of the room, barely hearing the conversation between Audrey and that lowlife through the sound of the blood rushing in his ears and realizing with alarm but not any regret that he had gotten rusty as his foot audibly hit a hard metal trash can... which would be perfect for his purposes. Anybodys picked it up and got to and through the door, silently sliding to the side of it opposite that of Audrey and that jerk who was destined for the pavement and hell, hopefully not in that order, before executing an epic leap and slamming his oddly fitting weapon of choice straight into that fucker's stupid skull. Like he should've done for Bernardo's girl... Audrey interrupted the silence that had settled, save for the sound of that dirty rat collapsing, and the unwelcome images that had practically been flashing before his eyes.
"...W-Oh my God, why?!" She looked at him with a bit more panic and a little less awe than he would have expected... and a concerningly large amount of blood dripping from a long and thin cut on her forehead that stopped right before her eye. "...He's been beatin' up on you, clearly, so I did what I had ta do ta ensure that don't happen again." He looked down at what was potentially his body and sharply inhaled, luckily managing to stop himself from having any more of a visible reaction than that in front of Audrey, as that of his former best friend and betrayer's briefly seemed to take its place. Audrey shakily crouched down to the ground, snapping him out of his pained recollections. "...Nobody's ever cared for me like that..." Anybodys confidently leaned against the outer wall of her apartment, mostly managing to displace his horror with pride. "...Well, HE'S the one I took care of, really." At this, Audrey hesitantly held the bum's wrist, pressing her thumb against it for a moment before sighing in relief and disappointment. "...He's alive still." ...Shit I thought I did a better job than that...
Not one to give up after a temporary setback, Anybodys picked the trash can back off the ground. "Don't worry, I can take care a-" He paused with it over his head as Audrey interrupted him, putting her free hand out in the stop gesture. "NO!" She looked around fearfully for a moment before lowering her voice and her hand. "...No, let's just... get our story straight." Audrey paused for a second before walking to a nearby gutter, only needing to search it for a very brief moment before finding what she had been looking for, which turned out to be a mostly empty wine bottle, and making her way back to them. "We found him collapsed on the sidewalk with this bottle near his head... Unless you think another story would work better, I mean, you have more... experience with this sort of thing." Despite his further increased confidence at that awed look of hers, Anybodys couldn't think of a better story than that.
"...Nah that should work, actually we prolly could sell any load a pigshit ta the cops n' get away with it, but they don't deserve any more effort outta us than we've already put in, especially with ya bleedin' like that... was that asswipe goin' for yer eye?!" Audrey gingerly touched her wound, seemingly not experiencing any pain from this. "...Well... thanks to you, I won't have to find out." As she started to stand, Anybodys unexpectedly found himself offering her his hand, which she took after shyly redirecting her gaze at the ground and smiling slightly. He followed her back into her apartment with the trash can, giving that jackass a farewell spit on the back of his head before closing the door behind them for good measure.
