Note: Star vs the Forces of Evil belong to Disney and Sonic the Hedgehog belong to Sega. I don't own anything and once again this is my very first fanfiction, so my writing is not perfect. Ok the last time we left off, our heroes learn about the Septarian Warriors and Eggman's robots has taken over Monster Temple with Star's parents in it. So, they rush to the rescue while Seth, an old enemy of the Butterfly family, doing research on the Chaos Emeralds and Master Emerald without Eggman knowing. The story continues.

Chapter 4 rescue at Monster Temple

We find our heroes reaching Monster Temple. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles stare upwards at the temple which is built in a single mountain which standalone surrounded by swamp like land and small, descended clay buildings, possibly built by the native monsters, but no monsters in sight. the area our heroes borders with the modern-day urban buildings and streets which remind everyone that New Mewni is a fusion of two worlds. As our heroes look around, they find signs of a struggle that happened recently with footprints in the mud are scattered all over, mostly around the Temple.

"So, they're up there?" asked Sonic, although he's The Fastest Thing Alive and he could run up to the top to the temple's entrance in no time, but he's friends will have a hard time climbing up those stairs. Marco noticed Sonic's concern and said "Yep but won't use the front door. there's a secret entrance that we could use to get in without sounding the alert." then he gestured them to follow to the secret entrance which gave the team a bit of relief for a moment as they follow Marco to the very back of the temple and then Marco pushed a hidden bottom which revealed a secret tunnel into the temple and our heroes step into the tunnel one-by-one.

It took our heroes a few minutes and secretly exited the secret tunnel and entered an empty bedroom with a large bed in a dark green cover right beside the secret entrance, then Star and Marco quietly tip toe to the bedroom door and carefully peek through just in time to see a Septarian leading 6 light orange humanoid robots with round bodies, dome, egg shaped heads, sharp yellow noses, blank robot cyan eyes, and wide glowing panel for mouths and black lower torse section, marching in line, holding long lances and shields down the stone hallway followed by 4 ladybug like robots rolling behind with one wheel at the bottom.

"Buff Frog is right, Septarian and robots have taken over the temple" whispered Marco in shock, then Star replied, "and without anyone outside of the temple knowing, Tails is right when he said that Eggman is smarter than he looks. But the real question on my mind is how they took over without anyone knowing." Tails who overheard Star walk up and spoke.

"The same way how the Septarian and Eggman did when they took the Master Emerald, they have their ow n device to open portals and use it to send their troops into the temple and capture everyone in the temple and later the monster town that surrounded the temple."
"Including Queen Moon and King River, I mean Moon and River" pointed out, and corrected Marco as he remembered that Star's parents are no longer Queen and King which speaking about her parents make Star more worried. Then our heroes gathered around and getting ready to come up with a plan to defeat the Septarian Warriors and their robot allies and save everyone trapped in the temple.

"If I were a humanoid lizard warrior, and I have taken over Monster Temple and the Monster Town, I would place my prisoners in the Grand Hall which is located at the very center of the temple since it could be large enough to hold them. After all that room did hold Globgor when he was crystallized."

"Good idea Star, but remember what Buff Frog said, Rasticore is here too, so even if we go through all of those Septarian lizards and Eggman's robots, there's still Rasticore to fight."

"So, what your history with Rasticore?" As Knuckles which Star replied, "an Septarian bounty hunter we met a few times before, but last time I heard about him, he disappeared 2 last week, I guess he rejoin the Septarian Army when Seth come back, and I also heard that he got a new cybernetic arm."

"So, be careful around Rasticore?"
"Yep."

"Ok" said Sonic as here began the plan.
"I know that they could be holding the prisoners in the Grand Room at the center of Monster Temple, and it seems stealth is not an option once we step into the hallway, so we'll have to fight our way through to reach the Grand Hall. So, me and Knuckles will be in front and do the heavy fighting, clearing the path." Then the hedgehog pointed to Star, Tails, and Marco and continued.

"Meanwhile Star and Marco will lead behind as me and Knuckles clear the path while protecting them, since they know where the Grand Room is, they point us at the right direction, while Tails will ben rearguard in case, they somehow get the chance to sneak behind us, Tails will use his gadgets to protect us. We'll adjust the plan as we go."

"The plan's not a prefect plan but running in blind is not ideal either." Marco pointed out. He has come a very long way since meeting Star for the first, back then he was called the 'safe kid' due to that he used to be obsessed about safely. Since meeting Star, he eventually learned to balance safely and adventure in his mind. Sonic's plan is good enough for them to go in without blinding running around all over the place.

"But may I suggest we..." but before Marco could finish, Star walk up, kick the door down and ran up and punch the nears Septarian and immediately kick a robot down and yelled "alright you rust buckets and angry lizards, you make a big mistake hold my parents prisoners, and when you mess with my friends and family, you mess with STAR BUTTERFLY." then Star ran down the hallway yelling at the top of her lungs to draw more attention while heading towards the Grand Hall.

"Sweet Mobius, she just ran in?!" cry out Knuckles in shock as our remaining heroes look at each over for a second then started running to catch up with Star while Sonic yelled "STICK WITH THE PLAN, STICK WITH THE PLAN!"while Marco yelled "STAR THAT NOT PART OF THE PLAN!?"

Meanwhile at the same time in the Grand Hall, Rasticore watch as the Egg Pawns place the last of the temple staff and local monsters in the last of 6 large, light gray capsules that possess yellow and black hazard stripes on top and bottom, a hatch door with a small window at the front which show the prisoners, four small support pedestals under each capsule and each capsule has a big, yellow button when push on top, will automatically release the prisoners in the capsules. These capsules are larger than the capsules Eggman usually use to hold animals, since these prisoners are mostly humans and monsters.

Then an Egg Pawn walked up to Rasticore and said, "um sir, I just got word from a patrol in the upper levels of the temple, it seems they're under attack."

"Under attack? By whom? Did that frog monster that escape managed to get the authorities here and how did they get in the temple?"
"No sir, it seems that Sonic the Hedgehog and two of his friends, along with two teenage humans are attacking and are heading towards us as we speak sir."
"Two humans, did they ID those humans?"
"Yes sir, from what the Egg Pawn in that patrol described before going offline, they are Star Butterfly and Marco Diaz, the ones Eggman and Seth warned us about along with Hedgehog Priority One and his friends."

Star's and Marco's name shook Rasticore as he remembers his past encounters with the former princess and her friend which also led him remembering of some misfortunate events that got himself almost completing destroyed and regenerate from his one surviving arm a few times which makes him feel lucky that Septarian can regenerate their lost body parts like any normal lizard. This could be his perfect chance to get revenge on them when that bizarre gift card almost destroyed him with that laser.

"Let them come and alert everyone that we got some unexpected visitors for a warm cold welcome." The Septarian bounty hunter ordered the Egg Pawn which the robot followed to the letter and walk away. Then Rasticore walk up to the wall where he pick up a spiked ball weapon with a chain connected between the spike ball and handle and one of the Egg Pawn shields getting ready for a battle when suddenly three Egg Pawn, two Septarian lizards and one Motorbug flew right pass him and fell into a giant hole where Globger was once trapped in and a blue hedgehog dush into the room.

"That was quick, so this hedgehog is the Fastest Thing Alive" whispered Rasticore to him as he turned to face the hedgehog and rush in trying to knock him out. But suddenly Sonic immediately dodge the attack from the chained spike ball weapon with his super speed and just gave the bounty hunter a confident look and said to Rasticore, "hey watch it, haven't your mother told you could poke someone's eye out with that, but it seems you didn't list since you lost one of your eyes" then pointed at the purple gemstone where one of his eyes used to be. This made Rasticore angry.

"So, judging by your robot arm and you're the only Septarian in here, I guess you must be Rasticore, Star told me all about you one our way to one of her friends' house, and the one Buff Frog warned us about. Do I guess this means I'm going to teach you a lesson lizard man." Then Rasticore began to hit Sonic with his spiked weapon but each time he tries to land a blow on the hedgehog, Sonic quickly dodge Rasticore's strikes while showing up.

"Hold still you, surprisingly fast hedgehog from another dimension." Yelled Rasticore as he continues to swing his weapon against Sonic but failed while the prisoners watch from their capsule windows and began to cheer for Sonic even know they don't know him but only that Sonic is fighting against Rasticore. The blue hedgehog did land a few blows on Rasticore's shield just as Star rush in the room and kick Rasticore's back which make him drop his shield which allow Sonic a clear opening to spin dash at Rasticore and knock him out.

"What took you so long Star?" Joked Sonic which Star replied, "there were a lot more robots than there are Septarian, plus you're the "Fastest Thing Alive" remember, somehow you managed to push in a race into a rescue mission."

"I make almost everything into a race Star."
"You know Sonic, I know a perfect place for a parkour race, once this whole thing with Eggman and Seth is over, maybe we could race."
"Oh, you on Star."

Unaware to Star and Sonic, Rasticore regain consciousness while they were talking about a race and quietly reach for his weapon, only to find Knuckles standing right, in front of his weapon and then the echidna punch Rasticore's cybernetic arm and broken it with a loud clank which drew Sonic's and Star's attention as Knuckles knocked out Rasticore.

"Can you two stop talking about racing and focus on the current situation." Pointed out Knuckles as he kicked Rasticore's weapon away from the Septarian bounty hunter. A second later, Tails and Marco walked into the Grand Hall, wore out from running and fighting and see that the battle was over and Rasticore is defeated.

"Well," began Marco as he is catching his breath, "it's seemed that everything is taken care of." Then Tails cut in so Marco can finish breathing, "but next time, stick with the plan and stick together for now on?"

"Sorry guys, I guess too deep in the zone whiling taking care that last patrol."
"Yeah, sorry Tails and Marco, I couldn't wait when my parents are in danger, I can't promise that won't happen again, but I'll do my best to stick with the plan."

As Sonic and Knuckles tie up Rasticore with a rope they founded lying round and leaning him against the wall right next to the capsules. Tails show Star and Marco how to automatically open one of the 6 capsule to free the prisoners which with pure luck, open the capsule that held Buff Frog's kids, who look like younger versions of their dad, along with a few other friendly monsters. The frog kids jump towards Star and give her a big group hug and thanking her for coming to the rescue.

"Oh, I'm so happy that you're safe and sound, and your dad will be so happy to see you, wait...where's Katrina?"
"Over here Star."

Katrina was still in the capsule letting her 11 siblings hug Star with a smile on her face and said, "is that hedgehog a friend of yours he's super-fast, that old lizard couldn't hit him."

"Oh Katrina, I'm glad you're safe too." Said Star as she walked up to hug Katrina, but then ask with a concern look, "But where's my parents?"
"They place them in the very first capsule with the temple staff." Then Katrina points to the last capsule at the other end. Star thanks her friend and ran up to the 6th capsule to personally open it herself. She climbed her way to the top and push the large button by jumping on it as hard as she can.

Finally, Star made the button go down and activate the capsule's auto release which open the capsule's door and free the prisoners, the temple staff which is made up of mostly humans and monsters wearing knight armor and servant clothes rush out of the capsule as Star jump down back to the ground. The last two people who got out of the capsule are Star's parents. Moon Butterfly, who has long, pale blue hair in a long braid, light blue eyes, and wore magenta pink lipstick. She wore an ankle length, short-sleeved sky-blue dress with a pale periwinkle shirt underneath and blue flats.

Moon noticed her daughter and rush in to give her a hug with tears of joy in her eyes and said in an elegant voice, "Star?! What on earth are you doing here?"

Before Star could answer, her father, River, Johansen, Butterfly ran beside them and give both Star and Moon a hug and said in a rough, cheerful voice, "Star, you came to save the day, I knew you wound come to save us once Buff Frog escaped to find you.

River is a short, stout, light-skinned man with blond hair with a bald spot, light blue eyes and a large mustache and a beard that splits into two ways. He wore a simple navy t-shirt and short, light blue jeans and black boots.

"Oh Mom, Dad, I'm just happy that you're alright."
"Us too Star, but I got a whole lot of questions."

With that Star gave Moon and River and simple short version of the events that lead to Monster Temple.

But I'm hope you enjoy this chapter, I sure enjoyed writing this chapter. Star explain to Moon and Rivers what's been happening until the next Chapter.
