Chp 4. Hazbin Hotel Newest Sinner
As Kiryu continued his walk, he began to smoke a cigarette as he began to relive about his time back on Earth.
"Man….it's only been a few days since I've died, and yet…it still feels like yesterday…", Kiryu thought as he continued his walk.
"Hehe….who would have thought mom…you're only kid…and he ends up in hell….and it's all because of him…", Kiryu thought as he began to slowly feel the rage within him build up again until he stopped in a halt at a sudden revelation.
"Wait if I killed him then….he has to be in hell too….even in death that fucking bastard still manages to make my life torture….", Kiryu clenched his fist as that rage started to rise within him once more as he began walking again.
"After everything he did to me…to her…I should have left him live….I should have made him feel the same pain he inflicted on the both of us but 10x worse….", Kiryu thought as the rage started to grow faster as he walked.
"If I ever see that bastard again….I'll make sure he knows what true hell is..I'll rip out his intestines….burn him until he's nothing but ash…I'll-", Kiryu was about to think of another way to torture his father until the bright sign of the Hazbin Hotel shined down upon him.
"Alright, Kiryu…you just gotta put on an act…I'm only here for a place to stay so I don't have to bother Moxxie and Millie after all….besides it's not like a soul like mine could be redeemed anyway…"Kiryu muttered under his breath as he knocked on the door to the hotel and crushed the cigarette under his boot.
Charlie Morningstar quickly opened the door and then suddenly quickly closed the door.
"Uhhh Vaggie….I think I need your help over here, and… probably Alastor too…", Charlie said in a monotone voice as Vaggie, spear in hand, came to see what Charlie needed.
"Don't tell me the door's stuck again I thought Alastor already fixed it…Let me see what I can do-", Vaggie said as she opened the door both she and Charlie stared at Kiryu until Vaggie quickly aimed her spear at Kiryu's neck.
"Woah! This isn't what I expected for a place meant to rehabilitate sinners." Kiryu said trying to lessen their fear of him with a shitty joke.
"Why did you come here?! Are you going to destroy the hotel?!", Vaggie yelled at Kiryu demanding he answer her questions quickly or else.
"I..just came here to…get redeemed you see…I want to get into heaven.", Kiryu said with a weak smile on his face hoping to god they believe his act.
Confused at Kiryu's response she looked to Charlie to see what she thought about it right as she slammed the door in Kiryu's face.
"Okay Vaggie it might seem a bit crazy but we've got to let him in the hotel!", Charlie said with hopeful eyes.
"Charlie how could you say that! You saw what he's capable of! It'd be like letting a monster inside this place and we've already got one and that's already too many even for me!", Vaggie said as she held on a little tighter to her spear.
"Vaggie..I understand where you're coming from…but I've made it my life's mission to redeem any sinner who chooses to come to the hotel! And besides, if he gets too out of hand I bet Alastor could handle him.", Charlie said as she placed her hand on Vaggie's shoulder and looked at her hopefully.
"Ugh..you know I can never say no to those eyes.", Vaggie said as she loosened her grip on her spear just a bit.
"Thank you Vaggie …I won't let you down.", Charlie said as she opened the door and gestured for Kiryu to enter.
"Wow….this is a really nice hotel I gotta say.", Kiryu said a bit taken aback by the hotel's spacious yet cozy lobby.
"I'm guessing you saw the ad for the hotel?", Vaggie said as she looked at Kiryu with her head tilted slightly to the right.
"No actually Alastor gave me a card to this place and I followed the address on it.", Kiryu said as he took the card out of his jacket and showed Vaggie and Charlie.
"God damnit Alastor..", Vaggie muttered under her breath as she face palmed.
"Well, all that matters is that you've decided to come to the hotel to redeem yourself! I'm Charlie Morningstar the head facilitator of the hotel!", Charlie said as she stretched her hand for Kiryu to shake it.
"I'm Kiryu.", Kiryu said shaking Charlie's hand for a bit.
"Right here," Charlie said as she pulled Vaggie close to her," This is Vaggie, she's my girlfriend and also the security of the hotel!", Vaggie gave a weak smile at Kiryu as some distrust of him still sat within her, "Then we have our bartender of the Hotel Husk!" Charlie pointed at Husk who was cleaning the bar with a tired look on his face. Once Husk heard Charlie call out his name, he looked up from what he was doing and immediately locked eyes with Kiryu for a second. Then, with a deep sigh, he returned to cleaning his bar. Suddenly, Kiryu felt a sudden bomb on his tail as he looked down to see Nifty firmly grabbing onto it.
"Uhhhhh…..hi?", Kiryu said as he looked down at Nifty he tried to raise his tail so she could let go, but she held on tightly.
"Ehehe bad boy", Nifty said with a manic grin on her face. Then Vaggie quickly pulled her off of Kiryu.
"So sorry for that.. that's Nifty, the hotel's maid, she just…", Vaggie was about to continue speaking until Kiryu cut her off.
"It's alright no harm no foul haha.", Kiryu said with a weak smile and chuckle until then suddenly.
"Charlie you gotta introduce me to Mister Tall, Dark, and Mysterious over.", Angel Dust said as he walked up to Kiryu and looked him up and down with a sly grin.
"Angel could you not hit on every newcomer to the hote-", Vaggie was about to say before she got cut off by Angel.
"You got a name, big guy?", Angel said flirtatiously as she placed a finger on Kiryu's chest.
"K-Kiryu…", Kiryu said with a slight stutter as his face started to become a bit red.
"My..My… Kiryu..such a strong name…and by the looks of it I've bet you've got a big-", Angel was about to say before getting cut off by Vaggie.
"Angel I swear to god if you say dick!", Vaggie said.
"Tail Vaggie, I was gonna say tail..get your head out of the gutter Vag haha", Angel said, "and dick too", Angel said as he muttered the last part under his breath. Kiryu froze completely until Angel broke him out of it.
"Names Angel Dust Kiryu you'll be seeing a whole lot of me if you stay at the hotel..hopefully you do because I definitely wanna see you and what that tail can do too~", Angel said in a very flirtatious tone then went back to his room.
"That's Angel Dust he was the first sinner to come to the hotel, even though it was for the free rooms, but if he ever gets too..touchy just tell me and Vaggie and we'll sort it all out.", Charlie said as she sighed heavily.
"Yeah….got it..", Kiryu said, still trying to decompose himself from Angel Dust.
"Since you've already met Alastor I'll show you to your room.", Charlie said as she led Kiryu to his room in the hotel. Once they finally made it to Kiryu's room Charlie handed Kiryu the keys to it and gestured for him to open the door. Once Kiryu had opened the door he was taken aback by not only its surprisingly big size but also by the decor.
"Wow, I didn't think a place like this could ...well look this good..", Kiryu said as he walked inside his new room.
"I'm glad you like Kiryu, but before I can let you rest, do you mind if I ask you a few questions first? That way, I can think of better ways to help you towards your path to heaven.", Charlie said as she looked up at Kiryu
"Maybe tomorrow? In the morning, but ... .there's not much that I could tell you to help me though…", Kiryu said in a somber tone as he sat on the bed.
"Alright, then your road towards redemption will start tomorrow. I hope you sleep well, Kiryu!", Charlie said as she left Kiryu's room and closed the door. Once the door was shut, Kiryu laid back on the bed and took in the comfort of it.
"No offense, but this beats your couch, Moxxie.", Kiryu said as he began to fall asleep. As Kiryu slept, his mind began to wander off and dream again. But soon said dream became a horrible nightmare once more. He could hear the screams of those he killed as their lifeless bodies drifted across his mind. Then, in the distance, Kiryu saw was like to be a pair of red glowing eyes in the distance. Kiryu tried to chase the eyes, but he then began to fall into a deep black void until suddenly Kiryu woke up from his nightmare before it could get any worse. In a cold sweat, Kiryu looked around the room for a brief moment. He reached for his flask to take a sip from it but as he did it felt lighter than when it was earlier.
"Shit…it's empty…I think Charlie said this place had a bar?", Kiryu said as he rubbed his eyes, put away the flask, and made his way out of his room and wandered the hotel looking for the bar. As Kiryu began to wander the halls a dark shadow-like figure began to follow him then suddenly the dark finger manifested itself and tapped Kiryu on the shoulder. Kiryu jumped back and turned around quickly to see who it was.
"Isn't it past you're bedtime kid?", Alastor said with his usual wide smile on his face.
"Shit…nearly gave me a heart attack there…and I don't have a 'bedtime' for fucks sake I'm 19, not 5.", Kiryu said with a bit of an aggressive tone in his voice as he stared daggers at Alastor.
"Then do tell me Kiryu…what exactly are you doing at this time of hour then?", Alastor said as he tilted his head to the right a bit.
"I'm just looking for the bar to get a drink that's all..so now can you leave me alone now?", Kiryu said as he brushed himself off and turned around only for Alastor to forcefully turn him around.
"Hmmm, I don't think I will why don't we go for a..walk Kiryu there's still much I want to know about you and your..abilities.", Alastor said as he forcefully made Kiryu walk with him by putting his arm around his shoulder.
"Ugh fine….ask your damn questions.", Kiryu said starting to get a bit annoyed with Alastor already.
"So tell me Kiryu…how exactly does that blue beam of yours work?" Alastor said as he looked over to Kiryu who had a resting bitch face at the moment.
"I…don't really know exactly…just that when I'm about to use it my dorsal plates light up, then my mouth does, and then t just fires off…", Kiryu said as his eye's wandered a bit.
"Hmmm then do you have any sort of control of it? Or can you only use this ability when you're enraged?", Alastor asked as they we're finally starting to make their way towards the bar of the hotel.
"I…don't really know…I havn't had to use it since last time…but I'd rather not have to use it again though…", Kiryu said in a somber tone as his eyes drifted tot he floor.
"And why is that? You're a sinner afterall don't you love seeing and causing destruction everywhere you go?", Alastor said with his same wide smile.
"I….", Kiryu was just about to answer the question until they finally made it to the bar, "Good here's the bar I'll just have to answer yo're question another time Alastor.", Kiryu said as he began browsing the bottles on display.
"I'll make sureto hold you to that lad.", Alastor said as he disappeared into the shadows. Once Kiryu finally found a drink to his liking he poured himself a glass and took a seat at the bar. Kiryu just sat there at the bar looking into his drink as his mind was still tangled around Alastors last question.
"Do..I..realy enjoy all that destruction…and harm…I did…or…", Kiryu thought to himself then he decided to quickly down his drink trying to block out the question with hard liquor. He repeated this process a couple more times until he was completely wasted. He left some cash under his empty glass then tried to make his way over to his room while stumbling around like a drunkin idoit. He plopped himself on the bed and rested until it was morning. Once the morning came Kiryu he was awoken suddenly as ht hotel was being attacked. Kiryu begrudgingly made his way to the entrance of the hotel to see what the hell was going on. Kiryu was greeted by a sight that he definitely wasn't prepared for. Alastor had Sir Pentious air ship in what looked like to be black tendrils.
"What the fuck?", Kiryu muttered under his breath. Then suddenly Sir Pentious had fallen out of his air ship and landed hard on the ground. Once he landed on the ground Kiryu rubbed his eyes to see if this was a dream before suddenly Sir Pentious was sent flying off into the sky. Kiryu still wide eyed just simply walked back into the hotel not wanting to deal with anyof this. As the repairs to the hotel began Kiryu made his way back to his room and cleaned himself up a bit. Once he was finished he was about to head off to I.M.P. HQ but suddenly he heard a knock on his door. He opened to door to see who it was and thre stood Charlie notebook and pen in hand.
"You ready to answer a few questions Kiryu if you still aren't I completely understand especially after what just happened with morning and all.", Charlie said as Kiryu made his way out of his room and gestured for her to follow him.
"I'll answer you're question Charlie but can you make it quick I've got some things to do in a while so can we do this by the couch so I can quickly leave?", Kiryu said as he plopped himself on the couch and got comfy as Charlie took the chair next to Kiryu.
"Oh of course! How old we're you when you died Kiryu?", Charlie asked as she opend her notebook and clicked her pen.
"I was 19.", Kiryu said as he pulled out his phone and started to scroll through it.
"Wow so young.." Charlie muttered under her breath, "What got you sent to Hell exactly?", Charlie started to write stuff down.
"I killed someone.", Kiryu said quickly wanting this to be over as soon as possible. He then texted Blitz telling him he won't be in for work today due to personal reasons.
"Why did you kill them Kiryu?" Charlie said as she continued to write stuff down.
"I don;t know I didn't like their haircut I guess", Kiryu said as he rolled his eyes starting to get annoyed.
"Kiryu…why aren't you asnwering the question truthfully?", Charlie had stopped writing things down and looked at Kiryu, "Did they harm you in some way? We're they rel-", Charlie was about to say before getting cut off by Kiryu.
"Could you just shut the fucl up already!? I answered you're questions so just fuckin drop it already!", Kiryu yelled at Charlie as he quickly got off the couch and put his phone away.
"Kiryu I'm sorry if I-", Charlie was about to apolozie just Kiryu continued to yell at her.
"Just shut the fuck up already god fuckin damnit! I'm going to my room and don't thunk about following me either!", Kiryu angrily made his way back to his room and slammed the door. Charlie sat there not knowing what to do until Vaggie finally made her way to Charlie and took her back to her room to console her. While Kiryu sat on his bed looking down at the floor not knowing what to do he started to talk to himself.
"I..shouldn't have yelled at her like that…I bet she's probably gonna kick me out too….I've barely been here and I already fucked up big time…..shit", Kiryu sat and contiued to talk to himself until he heard a knock on his door.
"It's open!", Kiryu yelled out as the door opened and Angel Dust was at the door way. Angel Dust walked inside and sat next to Kiryu.
"I heard you yelling at Charlie earlier….you know I know she can get on people's nerves sometimes, but she's just trying to help you..", Angel Dust said as he looked over to Kiryu who still had his head down.
"I know…is this the only reason you came to see me? To tell me what I already know?", Kiryu said slowly starting to feel that rage within him build back up again.
"No…I came to see if I could help you…I know you didn't like Charlie's way so why not try my way instead?", Angel Dust said as he looked at Kiryu who had lifted his head to look at Angel Dust.
"Fine…", Kiryu said as that rage slowly started to simmer down.
"Why exactly did you blow up at Charlie and her question?", Angel Dust said as he looked back at Kiryu.
"It's not something I like to talk about much….it's personal to me….", Kiryu said as he looked back at the ground.
"Hmmm….I'm gonna take a big guess but did you kill a family memeber of yours? Is that way you don't want to talk about it?", Angel Dust said as suddenly Kiryu got off the bed.
"I'm going to the bar I need a drink…", Kiryu was abot to head to the bar right as Angel Dust grabbed Kiryu by his arm trying to pull him back to the bed.
"You can't just drown out the pain with liquor Kiryu….trust me I've tried it only makes it worse..", Angel Dust said as a small tear formed in his eye.
"You act like you know me, but I be you don't got a damn clue of what I've been through..now let me go…", Kiryu said as that rage started to build up within him again.
"I'm just trying to help….I don't want you to end up like me too…", Angel Dust said as he looked down at the ground still holding onto Kiryu's arm.
"Huh?", Kiryu looked back at Angel Dust confused.
"If I tell you my story you'l tell me yours alright?", Angel said as he looked up to Kiryu who nodded his head. They both sat on the bed as Angel explained his story from his time as a human, to his death, and even how he sold his soul to Valentino. After Angel had told Kiryu his story Kiryu sat there not knowing what to do or even say. With a deep sigh Kiryu broke the silence as he told his own story. From his time with his parents, to his mother's death, to how he felt when he killed his father, and to even how he died Kiryu told all of it. Omce he was done Angel Dust sat their in silence not knowing what to say until.
"I….I didn't know….I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that…I-", Angel Dust was then cut off as tears began fall from Kiryu's eyes as he started to cry. Angel Dust quickly wrapped Kiryu in a hug and tried his best to console him.
"There..there kid…just let it all out..", Angel Dust continued to hug Kiryu and console him the best he could. This went on for a while until Kiryu started to feel better.
"Thanks Angel Dust….I'm….sorry for how I acted earlier…I just-", Kiryu was cut off by Angel Dust as he hugged him again.
"It's alright Kiryu….and hey I won't tell anyone about this…and so will you agreed?", Angel Dust said as Kiryu nodded his head, "Good but the you shouldn't be apolozing to me it should be Charlie alright?", Angel Dust said as he got off the bed started to make his way out of Kiryu's room.
"I will…", Kiryu said as he followed Angel Dust as they both left his room. Kiryu and Angel Dust both went to find Charlie until they saw her let in Sir Pentious. Both Angel Dust and Kiryu were a bit taken aback by this.
"Charlie he literally was trying to destroy the hotel a few hours ago why are you letting him in?", Angel Dust said in annoyed tone of voice.
"He says he wants to redeem himself..so I had to let him in Angel and besides if he tries to pull anything off again Alastor and Vaggie will stop him." Charlie said as she looked at Angel Dust with hopeful eyes.
"Fine..", Angel Dust said as he went ot the bar and Kiryu followed suit not really liking the idea of Sir Pentious staying in the hotel too. Once Alastor arrived back at the hotel after his little outing Charlie then started Sir Pentious rehabilitation. Sir Pentious rehabilitation lasted all throughout the day as Kiryu decided to stay close to Sir Pentious, even taking part of Sir Pentious too, keeping an eye on him so he wouldn't do anything to Charlie or the hotel. Kiryu was almost going to take part of the drug deal activite but Charlie had picked Angel Dust instead. Once Angel Dust had went off to his room Kiryu decided to follow him to see if anything was wrong. Kiryu had knocked on the door to see if Angel Dust want to talk but.
"Kiryu…right now isnt' a good time..I'll talk to you later alright?", Angel Dust said in a tired tone of voice.
"Oh…alright Angel Dust…but if you ever wanna talk I'll be nearby alright?", Kiryu said as he waited for Angel Dust to response. After waiting for a moment Kiryu decided to leave as he didn't want to push Angel Dust's boundaries anymore than he should. After participating in helping Sir Pentious's rehabilitation asked Charlie if he and her could walk and talk for a minute.
"What did you wan to talk about Kiryu", Charlie said as she walked along side Kiryu.
"Charlie…I just wanted to apolozise for the way I acted earlier…I shouldn't have yelled at you nor sould I have cussed at you either….and if you wan tot throw me out of the hotel I compeletly understand..", Kiryu said as he walked along side Charlie as he looked off to the side.
"It's alright Kiryu I know I pushed you..too hard especially on your first day and all..but I won't be throwing you out of the hotel…I accept your apology Kiryu despite it being your first day I've seen you'vr made so much progress I proud of you Kiryu.", Charlie said as she looked up to Kiryu witha smile on her face.
"Thanks Charlie…I promise I won't let you down.", Kiryu said as they both went their separate ways. Once Kiryu made it back to his room he got in his bed and slept. During the night he had heard some sort of commotion going on in the hotel. Once Kiryu got ouf of his room he saw Charlie and Vaggie rush to see what was going on so Kiryu followed suit. Once they all saw what was making all that noise they we're all taken aback at what Sir Pentious and a drunkin Angel Dust. Sir Pentious tries to save face but Angel Dust reveals why Sir Pentious was so eager to redeem himself as Angel Dust takes out a camera from the bookshelf. Sir Pentious reports to Vox to try and help him escape, but Vox just laughs in his face. Sir Pentious then , throws out the watch he used to contact Vox, fell to the floor as Vaggie as her spear aimed at his neck. But then Charlie breaks out in song and forvgives Sir Pentious through song. Once their song was over everyone mdae their way back to their room. As they all left Kiryu decided to pick up the watch to check it out and suddenly Vox appeared on it.
"WHAT?!?", Vox yelled out until he suddenly realzied that it was Kiryu who had the watch. Right as Kiryu was about to speak Alastor appeared neck to him.
"Kiryu would you hand me that?", Alastor asked with an opened hand.
"Sure Alastor.", Kiryu handed Alastor the watch.
"You'll have to try harder than that next time ol' pal!", Alasotr said as he crushed the watch in his hand.
"Who was that guy Alastor?", Kiryu asked as he picked up the watch and threw it away.
"I'll tell you in the morning Kiryu it's getting late so you best head off to bed lad.", Alastor said as he walked off. Kiryu decided to follow what Alastor had said and head to bed. Off in V-Tower Vox sat in his chair thinking of his next action should be.
"How the fuck did Alastor manage to get him there? Why is he there? Shit knowing Alastor he's probably going to make a contract with that bastard! With his power I'll be strong enough to finally take down Alastor!", Vox yelled out as he luaghed manically too. Then back at the Hazbin Hotel Alastor could be seen walking to his room.
"Once I make a deal with Kiryu, his power will be mine…all mine..", Alastor said with his usual wide smile as he entered his room and closed the door.
And with that marks the end of Chp. 4! Now that Vox knows where Kiryu lives, what will he do? How will Alastor make a deal with Kiryu? How will Kiryu and Angel Dust relationship grow? What does Kiryu think of Sir Pentious? Can Charlie actually redeem Kiryu? Well, y'all will just have to find out in the next chp!
