This year the four friends have decided to go on vacation together. They're in Miami Beach for two weeks. Away from their firm in Seattle, away from work, from cases, from clients – just the four of them. Since they are running the firm together there's a hell of a lot more work than before. The couple with whom Mike and Rachel were running the firm before left a year ago and moved away and the friends decided to not let anyone else buying in.

As Mike and Rachel wanted to start a family in the near future and have more time for each other, they left the position of managing partner to Harvey while Donna is the firm's COO. But half a year later, something happened what no one was expecting: Donna and Rachel got pregnant almost at the same time. Harvey and Donna are over the moon because this was the last thing they were expecting to happen. Of course, they talked about it and told each other that they wanted a child but it didn't work out. Now, Harey is still the managing partner but they are working almost the same because Donna and Harvey need time for themselves, too.

Rachel is seven months pregnant and Donna six. It is probably their last vacation before their family grows up with a boy from Mike and Rachel and a girl from Donna and Harvey.

Today, the women decided to go shopping while Mike and Harvey are spending the day at the beach.

Actually Mike doesn't like water because he had a traumatic experience as a child when he nearly drowned. Since then he has never gone back into the water, no matter how many times his parents back then or Rachel later tried to convince him to do it. So he just stays under the umbrella while everyone else goes into the water. It doesn't bother him, he knows Rachel loves it and when she's happy so is he.

As the four of them wanted some peace and quiet, they rented a beach house that has a private beach and no other guests are allowed in.

"What d'you think how many bags they're gonna bring with them?" Harvey asks with a smile and Mike chuckles.

"I don't really wanna know. Probably more than we'll see"

"I still can't believe it happened" Harvey says in such a soft tone.

"Sometimes things happen you didn't see coming… and sometimes it's a good unexpected thing"

"yeah that's right" he confirms

"It's just every time I think she couldn't make me happier, she proves me wrong. Sometimes I really wonder how I could be that blind and not see it."

Mike knows Harvey has changed a lot in the last years especially when it comes to talk about his feelings but sometimes he's still surprised when he does it.

"What's so funny?" Harvey asks

"nothing just…" Mike looks at him with a huge smile "You've really become a softy" he teases

"You know sometimes I really regret it being that honest with you" he says in a serous tone and Mike's smiles fades

"I'm sorry- I uhm-"

"It was a joke Mike" Harvey smiles and Mike's exhales in relief

"You're really mean"

"You deserved it and just for your information, maybe I've always been a softy and you just didn't know it" he raises an eyebrow.

"maybe?"

"well, you'll never know" he says and gets up from his deckchair.

"I'm going into the water, I need some break"

"alright, great idea. it's a shame I can't do it, I would've done it minutes ago"

"shut up" he says and walks towards the water but stops on midway and looks at Mike.

"Mike" he calls him

"yeah?"

"You wanna try it? We're alone, no one can see you and if it doesn't work no one has to know"

Mike smiles at this but shakes his head "I really appreciate it Harvey but no. I- tried it a hundred times I don't wanna do it again"

"You sure?" Mike nods

"Okay" Harvey accepts and leaves.

A few minutes later when Mike is about to doze off, he hears shouts and is within seconds on his feet, still a little confused.

"Mike!" he hears Harvey shouting his name.

"Call -elp" he sees him going under water and appearing again.

"Harvey what's wrong?"

"I hav- seizure" he tries to tell him "Ca- -elp"

"Harvey that's not funny!" Mike shouts back hoping he's just trying to get him into the water.

"Help!" he calls panicky and submerges again. He starts chocking and is trying as hard as he can to stay afloat but it's impossible and that's when Mike notices it's serious. As he gets his phone and is about to call an ambulance he sees Harvey diving underwater but this time he doesn't appear anymore.

"Harvey! Harvey!" Mike shouts panicky but there's just a dead silence. He throws his cell phone on the floor and runs towards the water and where Harvey was.

He swims towards the direction where he last saw him.

"Harvey!" he calls out for him in vain and eventually he reaches him.

Two minutes later he's back on land with him and checks for his breathing and pulse but there's nothing so he starts CPR right away.

"come on, Harvey. You can't do that!"

… … …

"Omg we really need to hide some of the things somehow" Rachel laughs

"We could but they'd know anyway" Donna tells her

"Sometimes I still can't believe we're pregnant at the same time. Isn't it great?" Rachel says and stops walking, looking at Donna.

"it really is" she confirms sincerely "especially because I thought it'd never happen" she says and puts a hand on her stomach looking at it.

"We're becoming a big family"

"Yeah, we are" Donna smiles and they start to walk again but then they stop in their tracks.

"oh my god!" Rachel whispers when she sees what is going on a few feet away form them.

"Harvey" Donna whispers and her heart misses a beat.

"Harvey!" she screams and let's go of the bags running towards her husband and falling into her knees as soon as she reaches the two friends.

"Harvey?" She touches his cheeck "Mike what happened? Harvey" she calls him scared and slaps his cheek.

"Donna go away" but she doesn't listen to him.

"Rachel get her away, I need space and call help" Mike tells his wife.

"Donna, come on!" Rachel tries.

"NO! Harvey!" she shouts

"Donna let Mike help him" Rachel says firmly but softly and pulls her gently away from him with one arm while she calls help with the other trembling hand.

"oh my god" Donna says crying "Harvey!" she can barely breath "He's dead" she tries to get air in her lungs "He's dead" she keeps saying.

"shhh, he's not. He'll be fine" Rachel tries to calm her down, holding her tight. "You'll see, everything will be fine, just remain calm"

"Come on, Harvey! You don't get to do that. Don't dare it. You're becoming a father and a godfather, they'll need you… we all do" he corrects and breaths for him.

"Come on buddy, please" and all of a sudden Harvey coughs and a burst of water escapes his lips. Mike immediately turns him to the side.

"Yeah great buddy, out with it!" he says half laughing out of relief and slaps his back.

Harvey gasps, taking in a ragged breath. The color slowly returns to his face. His eyes flutter open as he's lying on his back again.

"Hey honey" she strokes his cheek and kisses him eagerly "omg I was so scared" Harvey who's still disoriented can't really focus on her and that's when Mike interferes.

"Donna, give him a second" he gently pulls her away and focuses on his friend again.

Harvey blinks a few times "Mike" he says quietly and closes bis eyes to gather himself.

"Just breath okay?" Mike helps him up on a sitting position, wondering where the hell the ambulance is. He doesn't realize that it's only three minutes they called them.

"what happened?" Harvey asks confused

"I don't know. You said you were having a seizure and at some point you didn't show up anymore."
"I couldn't move, I- tried to stay afloat but it was like something was pulling me down" They remain in silence for a few seconds.

Mike then smiles "You wanted to get me into the water at all costs, didn't you?" He asks jokingly and Harvey gives him a smile, still trying to wrap his head around what just happened but Donna glares madly at Mike.

"not funny" she snaps at him.

"sorry" Mike apologizes.

Harvey takes a deep breath. He can't say it in words how great it feels to be able to do it.
"Are you alright?" Mike asks and he nods.

"you scared the shit out of us. Don't ever do that again"

Harvey smiles weakly and nods briefly "noted"

"Do you need anything?" Rachel asks

"No, thank you" he smiles at her.

He then turnes his head to the left, looking for his wife and sees her who's crying quietly next to him.

"Donna" he calls her softly and closes their distamce, takimg her in his arms.

"It's okay, I'm alright" he kisses her

"you almost died" she sobs

"hey look at me" he asks her lovely and puts his palms kn her cheeks. "I am okay" he repeats reassuringly and kisses her tenderly.

"please, just hold me tight" she pleads and he does as told.

… … …

The paramedics take Harvey with them. He has to stay there over night because there's still the chance of secondary drowning even though it's a very small one.

"Are you okay?" Donna asks with concern.

"Yeah honey, you really don't need to worry, I'm alright" he tells her softly and she nestles against him.

"I'm really happy about it" she says and can't avoid tears rolling down her face again.

"Heeey, stop crying" he tells her lovely and kisses her forehead."

A knock on the door and Mike and Rachel come in

"Oh uhm, should we come later?"

"No, it's alright" Donna tells them and gets up.

"How are you doing?"

"Pretty good I think"

"Good" Mike takes a deep breath "What happened Harvey?"

"I don't know. It was probably just a one-time-thing and it was just bad luck that I was in the water at this moment" Mike nods

"so you're okay with everything?'"

"according to the doctors, yes" He looks up at his friend.

"Rachel, I wanted to go to the cafeteria and buy something, would you help me?" Donna asks knowing the friends need to be alone.

"Sure" she smiles and they leave.

"Mike, thank you" he gulps "without you I… wouldn't be here anymore"

"You don't have to thank me, that's what everyone would've done"

"No, it's not. You risked your own life for me. You haven't been into the water for about 25 years and… you did it to save my life"

Mike smiles when he really thinks about it he can't say for sure he would've done it for everyone. Sure there are a few more people he would've done it but probably not for everyone. Going into the water after 25 years, not knowing if he can still swim, jt was pretty naiv, but he'd do it all over again.

"I guess swimming is like cycling, you can't unlearn it" they smile

"Seriously I wasn't really thinking. I was about to call the ambulance but when you didn't show up anymore I-" Mike tries to find the right words "I just stopped thinking about what would be logical. I wasn't thinking about being afraid of water, I was just trying to save your life."

"I owe you" he smiles "especially because my daughter won't grow up as a half orphan and Donna doesn't have to be a single mom"

"I know what you mean and I know it's not the same but no matter what happens, she'll never be alone, non of you"

Harvey smiles "Yeah I know. It's the same the other way around"

"And just to clarify this, you don't owe me and I don't wanna hear that ever again. I'd do it all over again."

Harvey nods "got it!"

"Good"

… … …

The women enter the room laughing

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing" they laugh and hands their husband coffee while they're eating bagels.

"Didn't you think we're hungry, too?" That's when they burst into laughter again

"We actually did but…" Donna starts and Rachel lifts her arm with her bagel in her hand "those were for you" she chuckles "but they looked so delicious that we decided to eat them ourselves" and the men can't help but laugh too.

"it's alright" Mike tells them "You're carrying our babies. You deserve it"

And out of the blue Donna moans and lets go of the bagel, putting her hand on her stomach.

"Donna?" Harvey says with a disturbing voice.

"aaahh" she clenches her teeth together and Mike grabs her before she falls on her knees, while Harvey puts the button for someone to come.

"Donna, what is it?!" he asks terrified.

"My sto- mach" she breaths heavily 'Our baby" and the next second a nurse comes in. She immediately calls a doctor "it's too early" she starts crying "shhh don't worry" the nurse tries to reassure her "we'll check up on them" she tells her softly "yiu needto stay calm. They take Donna with them to run some tests. Harvey wants to go with them but he's not allowed to.

"She's fine for sure, they both are" Mike tries to calm him down.

"Goddamn it Mike! If she… if they were fine she wouldn't be in pain!" Harvey yells.

"Harvey" Rachel interferes softly "Look, it was a lot today. It's probably just because of the stress… it's nothing unusual" she tries to reassure him but knows very well it could be pretty serous. However, somehow it helps Harvey to calm down anyway.

"she probably knows better, she's pregnant, too" he thinks.

"I'm sorry" he apologizes looking at Mike.

A few minutes later they bring Donna back. She and the baby are fine and it was just what Rachel said, out of stress. The doctor makes clear that she needs rest, especially since Donna is older than other women when they're expecting a child, she needs to be more careful.

"I guess you didn't plan your last vacation as a couple without children to be like this, did you?" Donna asks seriously

Rachel smiles "Neither did you, right? We don't care, the most important thing is that you're alright, all of you. And we still have a few days left so it will still be a great vacation just like it was till today"

"Yeah summer, sun and water what do people need more?"

"water?" Harvey teases

"yeah sure why not?" he chuckles "is there a problem?"

"never again" Harvey says in a serious voice

"Ouh did we change the roles now?" Mike asks knowing Harvey is trying to fool them but Rachel slaps him.

"it was a joke" Harvey smiles and reassures her "I still love it and I'm glad I could help Mike getting over it" he teases and this time it's Donna who slaps her husband

"What? too soon?"

"still not funny" she says

"Okaay, I guess you need rest. We'll be back tomorrow and pick you up" Rachel says and the couple leaves.

Harvey gets up and goes over to Donna's bed and lays next to her while she cuddles up to him.

"I'm so happy you both are alright, I was terrified"

"I know" she whispers "but we're alright and you are alright" she cuddles even more "I almost lost you today" she says with a shaky voice.

"shhh you didn't" he tells her lovely and tightens his grip around her body "stop worrying" he asks her.

"Don't ever do that again"

"I promise" he whispers and kisses her head while he caressing her hair.

"I love you, we do and we need you" she whispers

"I love you, too. Both of you!"
