Chapter 6: Light of my Life

It was Saturday 5:00 PM.

A couple of days had passed since they attacked the USJ, and Izuku is laid on his bed, with a blue shirt, baggy grey pants and no shoes or socks.

He was starring absently at the roof when the door was unlocked. He raised an eyebrow. Only Todo had the key to his department, and he is in a date with Takada.

He slowly stood up... is it... a hero? Was his cover blown?!

"Hey Tiger!" Miss Orimoto opened the door with a grin "Are you ready for tonight?!"

Izuku immediately relaxed and flopped back on the bed, before processing her words "What's happening tonight?"

Miss Orimoto noted how clean his home was "For being a single teen, your department is sparkling clean."

Izuku sighed and stood up "Thanks. Now, what's happening tonight?"

Miss Orimoto laughed "You are going on a date tonight, Tiger! Aren't you lucky?"

Izuku gave her a dry look "What?"

Miss Orimoto hummed "You can't go out like that or with that haori of yours... let's see your closet!" She passes next to him towards his room and Izuku groaned.

"When did I agree on a date?"

"Remember when we talked at the laundry?" Miss Orimoto asked and Izuku nodded slowly "There you agreed. Now let's see, what do we have here."

Izuku looked how Miss Orimoto threw all his clothes, or at least the ones she like, to the bed "I am not really on the mood for a date."

Miss Orimoto ignored him and placed two shirts in front of him "White or Red?" She asked and Izuku rolled his eyes.

"Red. Are you even listening to me?"

Miss Orimoto hummed and threw the red one to the bed "White suits you more... White it is!"

Izuku groaned "Why are you so set on setting me on a date with this Rika?" Miss Orimoto stopped for a second and gave Izuku a soft look. "Every time we cross each other, you ask me to go on a date with her. I don't even know her."

Miss Orimoto let out a sigh and reached for a picture on her pocket "Here, look."

Izuku gave the picture a look and his four eyes widen. It was him, before his quirk showed up, before the marks appeared with a brown-haired girl in a blue dress.

"Your mom hurt you so bad you forgot about my Rika..." Miss Orimoto said "She still remembers you. She misses you."

Izuku closed his eyes "She... she would be disappointed." He simply said "I'm not that kid anymore. I am-"

"You're still Izuku Midoriya. Give it a chance Tiger." Miss Orimoto said and turned to the pile of clothes on the bed "Now, let's get you dressed."

Suddenly, it was 6:00 PM and Izuku was in a white shirt, black jacket and jeans with his red shoes, because he has no other.

Izuku was in front of the mirror as Miss Orimoto slicked his hair back "Soooooo, I reserved this nice sushi place for you two. Don't worry about paying, just say, add it to Mika's Tab and you are set."

Izuku nodded "Thanks... for organizing this."

Miss Orimoto grinned "Don't thank me just yet." The doorbell rang "Now go get her."

Izuku nodded and went to open the door... and she was beautiful.

He can't describe it. But her long brown hair, her blue dress, her pale skin and her black eyes.

She smiled at him "Izuku, it has been a while... you look great!"

Izuku gave a look back at Miss Orimoto who gave him a thumb up and turned to Rika "You too... How had you been?"

Rika smiled and grabbed his hand "I've been great! Let's go, I want to hear what you've been up too."

Rika didn't let go of his hand. He doesn't remember her at all, but she does. And as far as he can tell, she isn't afraid of his marks or his looks.

As they sat down on the table and read the menus Rika continued their talk "So you work in a bar? Are you a waiter or cook?"

Izuku hummed "I am a waiter. But I like to cook from time to time. And you? What do you do?"

Rika smiled "Well, I study at Ketsubutsu's General Studies. I started this year. You decided to take a sabbatical?"

Izuku got visibly uncomfortable, and Rika frowned "Sorry, I didn't mean to-"

"No, it's okay. I... I have a black mark on my record so little to no schools accepts me." Izuku said and he already was waiting for her to run away but instead...

"That sounds hard. I'm sorry to hear that." Rika smiled softly at him "I can't imagine what you had to pass when... all that drop on you. I wish I could have been with you."

Izuku looked at her and smiled, trying to comfort her "Don't worry. I have a friend, Aoi. He... he has been of great help to me."

Rika giggled "That's good to hear. How did you meet him?"

Izuku chuckled "It started with a stupid question."

It was a nice night, with good food and even better company. As they walked back to the apartment complex Izuku got a question.

"Say, you are in general studies, right?"

"Yep!"

"Are you not interested in heroics or something like that?"

Rika hummed with a small smile, hands behind her back "Well, as much I would love to be a pro hero and stuff, I can't. I'm quirkless."

Izuku eyes widen slightly "Really?"

Rika frowned and looked down "Is... is that a problem?"

"No!" Izuku said and Rika looked at him "No, it isn't. People are people, no matter if they have a quirk or not." He then smirked "Besides, it would be a dick move to just ignore this night for something so little."

Rika blinked before grinning and hugging Izuku "I knew you were awesome like that! Besides, if I am ever in trouble, you can protect me, right?"

Izuku laughed lightly "Sure, I can do that."

Rika leaned to kiss his cheek "My hero."

Izuku smiled softly. This was nice.

A/N: So if you think this was a cutesy chapter, because it was, remember Rika in the series and her destiny. That's all I am saying.
