Felix walked through the streets depressed.
He had asked out Melis and she rejected him.
He didn't know where he was going, but he just wanted to go anywhere to forget.
Going through a busy street filled with stalls, he saw an interesting stall.
It was a fortune telling stall.
Felix became curious and went up to the stall.
Inside, he found Kuro sleeping.
Kuro was a guardian of the Loki Familia along with Luna.
Tanya was the captain with her two vice captains, Finn and Riveria.
Honestly, other than clowning around, Felix hadn't seen Kuro do anything else.
Looking at a bell in the stall, Felix rang it.
Kuro woke up with a yawn and looked at Felix.
"We'll hello, how can I help you today Felix?"
"I'd like to try your fortune telling."
Kuro smiled and backed Felix to sit down.
Felix sat down and Kuro started shuffling cards.
"What fortune do you want me to tell?"
Felix thought about Melis.
"Love."
Kuro's eyes widened.
"Oh, has our young maiden Felix fallen in love?"
Felix blinked confused.
"Kuro, I'm a guy?"
Kuro blinked back confused.
"What?"
Felix spelled it out.
"I'm a guy."
Kuro reached out his hand.
"Only a real guy would let me do this."
Kuro reached out for Felix's chest and pat it.
"Wow, you're flat."
Embarrassment filled Felix.
"That's because I'm a guy!"
Kuro looked at Felix suspiciously.
"Why do you look like a girl then?"
Felix scrunched his eyes.
"This is just how I look!"
Kuro laughed and shuffled some cards.
"Alright Felix, hmmm, that sounds like femboy. We actually have a femboy. Cool, cool, cool."
Kuro laid out cards.
"Alright, pick a card but don't look at it, let's find out your love fortune."
Felix picked a card that caught his attention.
Kuro took the card and flipped a coin that landed on heads.
He looked at the card curiously.
"It says you're going to get laid today!"
Felix blinked at Kuro.
Kuro was most definitely lying.
With a sigh, Felix stood up.
"I'll see you later."
Kuro packed up his bell and cards.
He followed after Felix.
"You look sad, tell me about it."
Felix looked at Kuro suspiciously.
"I don't know."
Kuro patted his back.
"Is it about a girl?"
Felix became surprised.
"How did you know?"
Kuro shrugged his shoulder.
"Eh, that's what guys usually get sad about. Let's go drink, I want to hear you out."
The two headed towards a restaurant and Felix spilled out what happened between him and Melis.
At a library, Melis sat reading silently.
She was sad.
Felix had confessed her feelings today and Melis rejected her.
Felix was a good friend but Melis just didn't swing that way.
Melis wondered what she should have done.
Giving out a sigh, Melis continued reading.
She was a level 5 Wolf Human.
She used to be part of the Hera Familia, but currently, she was retired.
Many of her comrades had died exploring lower into the dungeon and she just didn't want to end up like them.
After retiring, she had lots of Valis with lots of free time.
She was currently reading because she wanted to become more educated.
Some of her former Familia had often made fun of her for her lack of education.
It irritated her and she wanted to prove them wrong.
Just because she grew up on the streets without education didn't mean she couldn't become educated.
Her thoughts wandered to Felix.
Felix was an educated Wolf Human.
When she needed help with understanding something, Felix would help her.
Melis gave out a sigh, Felix was still in her head.
She closed her book and set it away.
Going out of the library, she wondered where Felix had gone.
She hadn't wanted to hurt Felix's feelings.
Melis walked through the streets hoping to find signs of Felix.
She knew it was unlikely, but she hoped she'd stumbled upon Felix.
After a while of walking, Melis saw Felix coming out of a restaurant with another man.
Felix was drunk and crying.
While the man seemed amused.
Melis wondered if she talk to Felix while Felix was still drunk.
The man took Felix into an alley and Melis thoughts fired.
Perhaps, the man was taking advantage of Felix in her current emotional distress.
Melis became angry and followed the two in the alley.
If the man tried anything funny to Felix, she would pounce on him.
When they were far into the alley, the man stopped.
Felix was unconscious in his arms.
"You've been following me for quite a while."
Melis came out of hiding and looked at the man coldly.
She recognized him, he was part of the Loki Familia.
"Hand Felix over."
He looked at Melis curiously and back at Felix.
His eyes gleamed with amusement.
"Nah, Felix will be hanging out with me tonight."
Melis became enraged at the thought provoking words and charged.
The man became surprised and she slammed his face into the floor.
He became unconscious and she took Felix into her arms.
Melis spat on the man and left with Felix.
Kuro regained consciousness and got up with a groan.
He had done all he could, it was up to Felix now.
He threw up vomit onto the alley wall.
He never was good with alcohol.
At Melis house, she laid Felix in her bed.
Melis knew Felix was an adventurer but she didn't know which Familia Felix belonged to.
Felix woke up groggily.
"Melis? Why? Where am I?"
Melis brought water to Felix and Felix drank it.
"I saw you with another man, he was trying to take advantage of you."
Felix blinked confused at Melis.
"Listen, Felix, I know I rejected you, but you shouldn't let yourself become vulnerable because of that."
Felix blinked more confused.
"Hold on, wait. What was the man's name?"
"I believe his name was Kuro, from the Loki Familia. Don't worry about him, I slammed him to the ground so he won't be causing problems for you anymore."
Felix blinked lost.
"Eh? Ehhhhhhhhh!"
Melis became confused, why was Felix surprised?
"Melis, I'm part of the Loki Familia, he was a Familia member I was hanging out with."
Melis became lost.
"What?"
Felix became embarrassed.
"He wasn't trying to take advantage of me. Besides, I'm a guy and I'm pretty sure he doesn't swing that way."
Melis became more confused.
"Hold on, you're a guy?"
Red embarrassment filled Felix's face.
"That's the same thing he said! Don't tell me you thought I was a girl too!"
Melis mouth hung open.
Felix was a guy all along?
