I watch on the top of the hill as the first and second years prepare for the exchange event. It's only been about two days since the cursed womb incident. Satoru is supervising Itadori right now, so I decided to check on the others. Besides, it would look too weird if we didn't show up for days.
Kugisaki is getting thrown around by Panda. No surprise there. Megumi is looking at a cursed tool with Maki. And Inumaki is watching from the sidelines. Of course he doesn't need to practice. Wouldn't want to ruin his voice if we don't have to.
I smirk thinking of the reactions they'll have seeing Itadori again. They're going to blow a gasket, and it could go good or bad. Either way though, I know they'll be glad to see him. I haven't seen Megumi since the incident. He hasn't come out of his room except for classes really. But I'll finally get to talk to him today. I know he's probably taking it hard.
I walk down the steps holding the guard rail. I look up and Megumi is running toward me, skipping every other step as he ascends.
"Here Naomi, hold on to me." He says.
I smirk looking at him bewildered, "don't tell me you care Megumi."
He rolls his eyes, "shut up. I just want to help."
I chuckle, "well thanks."
He helps me down the stairs and i'm out of breath at the bottom. I'm seven months pregnant but I look twelve months pregnant. It's really taking a toll on me.
"Guess I have some work to do in the gym after the baby is born." I say jokingly.
"Sensei!" I hear Maki say smirking as she walks up.
"Hey Maki." I say giving her a hug.
She sighs annoyed, "you know I hate hugs."
"And you know I'm giving you one anyways." I tell her seriously as I step back, "I haven't seen you for a while. How's everything going?"
She sighs, "as good as expected. Waiting until Okkotsu gets back, but staying busy in the mean time."
I smirk knowingly, "oooohhhh Okkotsu huh?"
She rolls her eyes, "oh shut up."
"Sensei Naomi! It's a pleasure seeing you again. It's been a while." Panda says walking up with Inumaki and Kugisaki.
"Salmon." Inumaki says.
I smile, "it's so good to see you guys. I've missed teaching you all."
"And we've missed you. How's the baby?" Panda asks.
"Good. He's very active, but good otherwise. I've got another appointment soon to see him for the last time before he's born on the ultrasound so we're excited." I tell them.
"Well that's great news." Panda says happily.
"Well if he's anything like Gojo then good luck." Maki says sarcastically.
"Awe he isn't that bad. Right Megumi?" I say.
Megumi looks away, "no comment."
I sigh in defeat, " yeah, I know. He can be a bit much." I say chuckling, "and it does seem like Niko is going to be just like his father." I say jokingly.
"Sheesh, good luck Sensei." Kugisaki says.
"well, don't let me stop you guys. Keep training for the event." I tell them.
"Any advice Sensei?" Kugisaki asks.
I think for a moment and then look at her, "keep your guard up. If you think you're safe, you're not. Never let the enemy have the opportunity to surprise you. That's when you lose, most of the time." I say.
She smiles, "thanks Sensei. Now let's go guys. We've got work to do."
"Hold up, I want to talk to the first years for a minute." I say.
The second years shrug their shoulders, "Alright. See you out there." Maki says.
They walk away and I have a moment with Megumi and Kugisaki.
"Hey, how're you guys holding up?" I ask them.
"Fine. Why do you ask?" Kugisaki says indifferently.
"Look, I just... I know losing a friend can be really hard. I just wanted to check in." I say thinking of Suguru.
"I'm good. I can't mourn someone I barely knew." She says looking away from me.
I look at her face and can tell she feels it. She hurts, and I feel bad lying to her. Everything will work out in the end, but they just need to push through right now.
"Right, well just remember to always strive to be stronger. I'll be here watching and coaching if you need me." I tell them.
Kugisaki nods and walks away, but not Megumi. I look at him and pop and eyebrow up. He looks conflicted. Like he has something he wants to say but isn't exactly sure how.
"What do you got Megumi?" I ask.
He sighs and looks away, "why do you save people?"
"What?" I ask confused.
"I just... I mean why is it worth it to you?" He asks.
I sigh knowing what he means. He feels responsible for Itadori. An impossible judgment on himself.
"I do it because it's the right thing to do, and with the hope that maybe someday, my children will never have to live the hard lives we live." I tell him.
He nods, "suppose that's a good reason."
"Megumi." I say to him seriously.
He looks at me quickly and then looks away.
"Megumi, this isn't your fault. You never could have know what was going to happen to you guys." I tell him.
He looks over at me with pain in his eyes.
"I know what it's like to lose one of your only friends in the world. It's a pain like nothing else. There is nothing wrong with mourning your loss." I tell him.
"You lost someone too?" He asks.
I sigh, "it's a long story. But to make a long story short, he was Satoru, Shoko, and I's best friend in the world. We truly lost him years ago, and recovering from that loss has been a hard road. I still struggle to come to terms." I tell him honestly.
He nods.
"Things will get better. I promise. It's going to be hard at first for you, but for now, just try to train and work that out. Everything will work out." I tell him wishing I could tell him the truth.
He nods, "I'm gonna get back to it then. I need to be stronger." He says.
I sigh and nod, "alright."
He walks away and over to the field to train more. I feel bad knowing Itadori is alright and not telling him. I know it's only a matter of time before he finds out but still. I watch them for a while longer before getting a call from Satoru.
"Hey beautiful, mind staying with Itadori for a bit? I have to have a meeting with Yaga." He tells me.
"Yeah, sure. Be there soon." I tell him.
I make my way to the movie room and see Itadori wrapped up in Lord of the Rings. Satoru walk up to me and wraps me up in a hug.
"I won't be long, I promise." He tells me.
I nod, "I'll be here."
He smiles and kisses me softly, "I love you."
I smile at him, "I love you too."
He leans down and plants a kiss on my stomach, "And I love you my little man."
Our baby kicks in response and I chuckle.
"I'll be back soon. Itadori!" He calls out.
"Yes Sensei!" He answers.
"Naomi will be staying with you. I've got a meeting." He says walking to the door and leaving.
"Sensei Naomi! I didn't notice you were here." He says as I chuckle sitting next to him on the familiar fabric of our couch.
"I could tell. You seem pretty invested. It's a good movie huh?" I say.
"Yeah, it's great." He says looking to me and smiling.
I also notice the bear cursed corpse beside him is fast asleep.
"You're doing well. Now let's see if you can finish the movie." I say.
"Alright!" He says enthusiastically.
It doesn't take long for me to get invested into the movie either. We sit and watch the climax of the final movie. We're almost at the end of the movie and even though I've seen it before, I'm on the edge of my seat. Yugi is the same way as we wait for the final push.
"Itadori!" I hear Satoru say.
We both jump out of our seats scared shitless from Satoru.
"Geez Satoru, what are you doing here?" I say.
He's smiling at Itadori like he's proud. It's only then that I realize he's made it through the movie without getting hit.
"Get ready Itadori, we're going on a field trip." Satoru says.
"Wait, really? Where?" He asks.
"Field trip? Don't you have a meeting?" I ask.
"Change in plans, I have something to show you." Satoru says picking Itadori up by the ass of his pants and walking over to me.
I notice a tear in his jacket and look at him skeptically. Something's happened.
He plants a kiss on my cheek and walks away, "be home soon, love ya!"
And with that, he's gone.
"What?" I say confused.
I don't know what's happening, but I better get an explanation when he gets home.
I shake my head as I clean the room up before heading back to my apartment. When I get back I clean the apartment up a bit and then go sit on the couch and watch some tv. It's only about an hour since he left until Satoru finally comes home. It's about dinner time, and he looks excited but like he also has a lot on his mind.
"Hey." I say.
He looks up at me with his blindfolded eyes and smiles warmly.
"Hey love, sorry I left you hanging earlier." He says.
I shake my head, "It's okay, I just want to know what's going on. I don't want to be left in the dark." I tell him.
He sighs and walks over to me sitting beside me. He pulls me in for a hug and I hug him tightly back. He pulls back and kisses me softly.
"I promise I'll explain everything. But first," he says kissing me again, but this time he deepens it. His hands explore my body, and after a minute mine explore his.
His firm chest and abdomen drive me wild. I run my hands over his strong arms and he bites my bottom lip gently asking for entrance. I let him in as we explore each other's mouths. My hands float up to his blindfold and I pull it down revealing his beautiful blue eyes. They're dulled now. His infinity is down. But they're captivating all the same.
Even with my increased weight, he picks me up and locks my legs around his waist. He walks with me into the bedroom and closes the door, slamming me against the back of the door and kissing me hard. Even with my bigger stomach, it doesn't seem to bother him. He is able to kiss me all the same. His lips go from mine, to my cheeks, to my neck and moans escape my lips.
"Like that mama?" He asks seductively.
"Yes, don't stop Satoru." I tell him breathlessly.
His hand finds my pony tail and yanks it a bit revealing more of my neck.
"What's the magic word love?" He asks in a low husky tone.
I scoff, "this again?"
He smirks, "yup, c'mon. Say it."
I smirk at him, hungry for more of this, so I oblige him.
"Please?" I say in a begging tone.
He smiles and leaves kisses on my neck grinding his hips on mine hitting just the right spot. I moan with his movements and grab the sleeves of his shirt needing them to disappear right now.
He takes me over to the bed and sets me down gently. He takes his shirt off and lays me down. He helps me take my shirt off and kisses me hard on my lips, his white hair falling in my face. He trails kisses down my chest, then my stomach, and stopping at my pants. He smirks and looks up at me as I look to him desperate for his touch.
He lightly touches just below my waistline and smirks, "is this what you want?"
I breathe heavily as my eyes close in response and throw my head back, "yes."
"Yes what?" He says as he takes his hand away.
Frustrated I look down at him again, "please Satoru. I need you."
This drives him mad. He rips the rest of my clothes off my body and throws his off as well. He climbs on top of me and hungrily kisses me. I grab his face and kiss him back, starving for his body, his love, his everything.
He doesn't wait long to start. I gasp and moan with his movements. He switches between kissing me and my chest, his hands exploring everywhere. He moans as he increases his speed and I breathe heavily as I come close.
"I love you Naomi." He moans in my ear breathlessly.
I finally release and yell happily as I do. This causes him to as well and we lay together catching our breath. Once he rolls off of me and on his side of the bed, he smiles and kisses me softly again.
"I love you so so much." I tell him.
"I love you more." He says.
"Not possible." I say.
We sit for a minute catching our breath and cleaning up really quick. He gets up to get dressed and puts grey sweat pants and a black shirt on that shows his chest and arm muscles well. He gives me clothes and I put just my underwear on.
"So what happened?" I ask him.
He sighs sitting on the end of the bed, "there were two special grade curses working together. They knew how to communicate really well and obviously planned an attack on me."
"What?" I say sitting up clumsily. Satoru helps me sit up and places a hand on the stomach feeling the baby kick as we talk.
"There was one with a volcano for a head that attacked me on the road. He was weak, but it was obvious he planned to attack me specifically. When I got the upper hand, which didn't take long, that's when I came back to grab Yugi. I wanted him to see a real fight and a domain expansion in real life be used." He tells me.
"Wait, this curse used a domain expansion?" I ask. It's rare that this happens.
"Yup, kinda sucked to be honest. Well, against me anyways. He really underestimated me." He says chuckling in a sarcastic tone.
"So you exorcized him?" I say.
He sighs, "no, there was another, a plant or nature type, really good at stealth. He came in and took him away."
"Curses working together, and ones that can sneak up on you of all people. Satoru, what does this mean?" I ask him worried.
He looks up at me with his beautiful blue eyes, he's put his infinity up. This fight must have spooked him.
"I don't know yet. I don't have enough info to go on yet. But I know one thing, all these special grade curse missions and high powered sorcerers that have been popping up recently isn't a coincidence. There's a reason behind all this, I just haven't figured out why yet. For now, we just have to pay attention and keep our eyes open." He says.
I nod.
"And you will not go anywhere without me, yeah? I won't let anything figure out you or Niko exist. They'll use you two against me for sure." He says.
I sigh, "okay. Yeah, good idea."
"I'm sorry, I know this sucks, but until we know what's going on, this is the safest option." He tells me.
I nod sadly.
"Well, why don't we take a shower and get some food. I bet little man is starving." He says rubbing my stomach.
I chuckle, "he is."
He stands and holds his hands out to me. I take them and he helps me to my feet. We head to the bathroom and take a shower together. We remain quiet while we do. I think of what these special grade curse attacks and the recent increase of them means. I can't really think of anything good, I just hope this isn't anything big. I hope our family isn't being targeted, but with today's attack I can't help but have a bad feeling about it.
