Chapter 10: Monsters

Naruto could feel the warmth of the sun, it seemed like day came as quick as he fell asleep. The sunlight was peaking through the canopy danced on the forest floor and in Naruto's eyes. He unwillingly opened them because if it was up to him, he'd stay asleep. However, today he couldn't because he had one goal, finding Ino. Naruto stood up and looked to the trees nearby to see Shikamaru and Choji were still alseep.

Normally this would have annoyed Naruto especially when he put his mind to something and wanted to start right away. However, to accomplish finding Ino, he'd have to sit and concentrate for a while because he would have to enter Sage Mode to be able to sense Ino if she's anywhere near the area. Naruto closed his eyes and began taking in the natural energy surrounding him and began blending it with his own chakra.

"Naruto, what are you doing?" asked Choji.

Naruto's eyes shot open as he released the natural energy he was gathering, "Damn it Choji, you broke my concentration!"

When Naruto yelled at Choji, the sound of Naruto's voice woke Shikamaru up.

"Would you keep it down, I'm trying to get some sleep," the lazy-nin said, "Troublesome."

"Sorry Naruto, I thought you were asleep sitting up," Choji said.

"No, I was gathering natural energy so I can enter Sage Mode to see if I can sense Ino's chakra anywhere around here," Naruto explained.

Naruto closed his eyes and began concentrating again. With Choji satisfied with Naruto's explanation, Choji left him alone.

"Say, why are you going to waste your chakra for searching today?" asked Shikamaru. "Let's wait a day to see if Ino or Kotetsu catch up."

"I can't wait another day, what if Ino is in trouble?" Naruto asked, opening up one eye. "You're welcome to wait for Kotetsu if you want. Anymore questions?"

The welcomed silence was the answer Naruto wanted. He closed his eyes and began concentrating again. He prayed niether Shikamaru nor Choji interrupted him again. Once he was done collecting natural energy, Naruto began trying to sense Ino's chakra anywhere but he couldn't sense it at all.

Naruto sighed, "I can't sense her chakra anywhere nearby."

"How long can you stay in Sage Mode?" asked Shikamaru.

"In this state, just a few minutes but if I add Kurama's chakra then I'll have a little more time," replied Naruto.

"We should get to work then," added Choji.

Naruto added and the three Konoha-nin jumped through the trees. Naruto allowed Shikamaru and Choji lead the way while he concentrated on trying to pick up on Ino's chakra signature. As they kept jumping through the trees, Naruto couldn't sense Ino's chakra anywhere. Naruto's concentration started to lack as he began to blame himself for everything.

"Sensing anything yet?" asked Shikamaru.

Naruto shook his head but then he sensed something. He concentrated on it and confirmed it was Ino's chakra, it was faint so it was still quite a ways away but relief overtook him knowing she, at the moment, was still alive.

"I sense her!" Naruto yelled. Shikamaru and Choji stopped.

"Lead the way," said Shikamaru.

Naruto turned west from where they had stopped and began jumping through the trees.

Dark.

Everything was dark. Eyes were open but nothing could be seen. It was also dead silent.

'Where am I?'

Movement wasn't possible as hands were tied back to a chair. Realization hit, feeling that there was a blindfold, a gag and legs were tied to the chair as well.

Tied to the chair was a girl wearing a green t-shirt and blue capris and long blonde hair. Ino Yamanaka was being held prisoner. How she got into this perdictament was unclear. All she could remember at this point was that she was with Kotetsu. Now that she came to, she knew she couldn't stay here anymore and began to wiggle her hands.

"Don't even bother," said a male's voice. He sounded older, way older than Naruto. "It's a chakra-binding rope, if you try to use your chakra, it'll zap you. I'm pretty sure it's very painful."

Ino tried to speak but no words couldn't come out, only noises because her mouth was gagged.

"You don't need to speak either," the male said as Ino felt him caress her left arm.

This man's touch made Ino cringe, she didn't like it all and wanted him to stop so badly.

"Tai, keep an eye on the girl, I think I hear some of those Roamers out back. This girl is a Yamanaka so make sure you keep that sack over her eyes and her hands tied to that chair. I don't need her taking control of your mind so she can make an escape," said the man.

"Yes brother, you got it!" said Tai.

Ino listened to the older man's footsteps faded and a door close. It was silent again and even though she couldn't see, she could feel the other person was staring at her. To say she wasn't afraid would be a lie because she was terrified. Ino didn't know who her captors were and she didn't know what they were going to do to her. Rape her? Kill her? She just wished Naruto would just bust in and save her. She then felt a hand rub on her knee.

"Don't be scared," Tai said to her. "Once I get a chance, I'll free you. I did not sign up for what Kai is about to do."

Ino couldn't trust this Tai but she couldn't voice her opinion at the moment so she just stuck to her prayers for Naruto to come save her and protect her from this unknown danger like he promised. She then realized Tai was still rubbing her knee but not in a sexual way, but as if he was trying to comfort her. Maybe he was telling the truth after all? She heard another door open, this one sounded closer than the one she heard close earlier.

"Tai, what the fuck are you doing?" the man yelled. "I already told you, you'll have your turn but I'm going to go first!"

Tai removed his hand from Ino's knee and Ino heard a sound and Tai make a noise. It was Kai, punching Tai in the stomach. Tai fell onto his knees, doubled over in pain.

"Sorry, Kai," Tai said between gasps for air.

The room Ino was being held captive in was a living room. Next to Ino, tied to a chair, was the couch Tai managed to get himself to and a small end table on the left of the couch with a lamp.

"How much further?" Shikamaru asked.

"I'm not sure," replied Naruto. "The chakra is getting closer but it seems like is we're slowly getting there."

"So we're not going fast enough?" asked Choji.

"I'm guessing my range for sensing chakra is getting further so wherever Ino is, it's actually pretty far away," replied Naruto. "It's going to take a while to get there."

The three ninja continued jumping through the trees as fast as they could. Naruto was pushing himself because he did not want the chakra signature to disappear because that would only mean one thing, she was dead.

'Please hold on just a little longer Ino, I'm coming.'

Ino's fear was growing stronger. What did that man mean by 'You'll have your turn but I'm going first?' Ino didn't want to find out so she began praying more and more for Naruto to come rescue her. She just wanted out of this situation she was in and this place that she was. She wanted to be in Naruto's arms again, safe. She was ripped out of her praying by laughter from t he older man known as Kai. Luckily for her, it was coming from somewhere else because she felt Tai move past her.

"What's so funny?" asked Tai.

"More of those damn Roamers, there's been quite a bit of them lately," replied Kai. "I killed the last few, so why don't you go do something useful for a change and go kill this next batch."

"But, but..." Tai tried to protest.

"Quite being a pussy and go do it! What would have father thought if he was still here and you were being a fucking pussy again?"

"Y-you're right, I'll go," replied Tai.

"If it makes you feel better, I'll go out there with you and make sure you don't get bit."

Ino heard the back door open and close. She was now alone and she couldn't see, she couldn't move, she couldn't speak and she was deathly afraid that Walkers would break through either door and devour her. She wiggled her hands again in an attempt to losen up the chakra-binding ropes so she could get free without using her chakra, but it was no use, she couldn't get them to losen up.

Ino heard the front door open and close. She heard footsteps get closer to her. Her breathing slowed to nearly holding it in as she didn't know who was there or what was about to happen.

"There is something I find funny about fate," Kai said.

Ino stopped her breathing because it was the man she was scared of the most.

"Everyone believe's their fate always ends up being something good for them, however, they don't know fate can be great but it can also be very cruel," Kai continued. "Take you for example, fate was cruel to you because it brought you to me. I'll let you on a little secret, I'm not a very nice person. My brother Tai, is, but that's because he's a little pussy and it's why I left him out there alone to kill those Roamers. I'm hoping one of them will kill him so it can rid me of having to save his ass all the time."

Ino felt the man's hand touch her knee and then slide to the top of her thigh but the touch didn't stop there, she felt his slide downward to her inner thigh. She knew exactly where this was going and she didn't like it. Tears began to form in her eyes and the drops got too big to be held in her eyes and started trickling down her cheeks as Kai's hand reached the waistband of her capris and Kai's hand slid underneath. Ino felt him go inside her underwear and reach her womanhood. At this moment, Ino prayed as hard as she could for a miracle to happen to stop what was about to happen to her but that miracle didn't come as she felt Kai's fingers touch the lip and kept going. The fingers reached her clit and Ino felt them start rubbing it.

"I know what you're doing, you're trying to fight it," Kai said. "No one is coming to help you, you just let yourself get wet and enjoy it because if you don't, I'm going to take it anyway."

She felt Kai's fingers begin to enter her when suddenly Kai ripped his hand away and screamed.

"Tai, what the fuck did you do?" Kai yelled.

"I'm not going to let you do that to another innocent girl you sick fuck!" yelled Tai.

"So you go and stab me in the back, literally!?" Kai yelled back.

"It was the only..." Tai's explanation was cut short when the front door of the house exploded.

Debris went flying through the living room. In the chaos, a piece of wood accidently hit Ino in the head. The blow knocked her out and knocked the chair to the ground.

"What the hell was that?" asked Kai. He was about to investigate but he couldn't move.

Tai looked at their shadows and something was off as their shadows stretched off to the hole that was their front door and someone someone standing outside.

"Who is that?" asked Tai.

"Ino!" yelled a young man's voice. Kai looked up find a blonde-haired young man untying Ino from the chair and noticed the man's forehead.

"Impossible, Konoha-nin are still alive?" Kai questioned.

Naruto looked at the man, he was wearing googles and wearing stitched up tan clothing and had spikey brown hair. His clothing actually made him look like a bum. Naruto didn't bother to ask them for their names or why they were holding Ino hostage, all he cared about was getting her out of here. Naruto removed the sack over her head and picked her up bridal style and walked out of the shack. When Naruto got outside, he noticed her head was bleeding a little. He placed her gently back on the ground and took out a rag from his backpack and placed it on the wound, putting pressure to stop the bleeding. Once Naruto felt the bleeding had stopped, he picked Ino back up.

"That's my prize!" yelled Kai as Shikamaru forced Kai and Tai out of the house with his Kagemane.

"Shut up!" Naruto spat and continued to walk away.

"What do you want me to do with these two?" asked Shikamaru.

Naruto stopped and without hesitation replied with great venom, "Kill them."

Naruto walked back to the tree line where Choji was waiting as back up and jumped into the trees.

"Is she alright?" asked Choji.

"I think so, but I think the exploding tags we placed on the front door to make our grand entrance caused some debris to hit Ino in the head," Naruto answered.

Naruto then heard the men Shikamaru had captive begin to scream. Naruto looked at Choji and he understood the look on Naruto's face.

"Instead of using his Kage Nui no Jutsu, Shikamaru gave them a greater punishment, feeding them to Walkers," Choji said.

"Good," replied Naruto.

Shikamaru made it to where Choji and Naruto where waiting.

"Let's head back to that waterfall that we found on the way here, that should be a perfect hiding spot until Ino recovers," Shikamaru stated.

Naruto nodded and the three began jumping through the trees. Naruto looked down at Ino, tears forming in his eyes.

"I'm so sorry," he spoke softly.
