Disclaimer: I don't own Doctor Who that goes to the BBC

In a palace chamber in Egypt, 1334 BC, the Doctor and Rose both hurried to the TARDIS with a woman with dark tan skin, black hair and brown eyes, wearing clothes of high ranking in Ancient Egyptian status, which included a simple sheath dress called a kalasiris and a headdress known as a twin-plumed vulture cap over her head.

"Bye, then. Lovely meeting you," the Doctor told the woman, "Sorry about the mess."

"And remember, always keep an eye out for the unexpected. It's been a pleasure, truly. Take care," Rose added with a smile.

"You think I'll let you leave without a proper goodbye after what we've just been through?" The woman asked the Time Lord as she gracefully placed her right hand over his right arm.

"You've got the Egyptian people to rule, Queen Nefertiti, they'll need reassuring after that weapon-bearing giant alien locust attack we just stopped, rather brilliantly," the Doctor told her before the three of them heard a clown car horn going off, "Sorry!" He then pulled out his psychic paper, "Got it set to temporal newsfeed...Oh, that's interesting!"

"Oh, what is?" Nefertiti asked him.

"Nothing, not interesting, not at..." the Doctor began to say before reading what his psychic paper said, "Ohh! Never been there, exciting!"

"Nefertiti, how about one more adventure?" Rose asked the Egyptian Queen as she smiled and stepped forward, "We could use your help." The Doctor then nodded his head in agreement before the three of them stepped into the TARDIS.

About 3,700 years later above Earth, a large spaceship that was circular in shape with parts of it being separated by another, but still joined together was flying towards the planet at an incredible speed.

Inside a military base on Earth in the same year known as the Indian Space Agency, the ship was being displayed on a screen as a female officer with tan skin, brown eyes and black hair, wearing a cap over her head named Indira stood in front of the Doctor and Rose, who had their arms crossed as she was explaining the problem to them as she had her hands over her hips.

"Craft size, approximately ten million square kilometres," Indira told both Gallifreyans.

"A ship the size of Canada, coming at Earth very fast," the Doctor muttered as he walked next to her, "Any signs of life?"

"Yeah, are there any signs of life on the ship, Indira?" Rose asked her.

"We sent up a drone craft, it took these readings," Indira told both Gallifreyans as she touched the screen with her right hand's index finger, causing some readings of the ship to appear on the screen.

"Crikey Charlie! Look at that!" The Doctor said as he bent down to look at the screen, "Ooh, I know someone who'd love a look. And the Ponds!" He then walked around the screen, "Mustn't forget the Ponds! We haven't seen them in ages."

"And Jack!" Rose added with a smile on her face as she followed her husband, "He'd definitely want to see this."

"I'm riffing, people usually stop me when I'm riffing, or carry on without me," the Doctor said as he rested his right arm over Nefertiti's left shoulder as Indira crossed her arms.

"Can you communicate with this craft?" Nefertiti asked Indria.

"She's with us," the Doctor told Indria, "Good question, Nefi."

"No," Indria answered as the Doctor removed his arm from Nefertiti's shoulder, "No response on any channel in any recognised language." The Doctor then crossed his arms, "If it comes within 10,000 kilometres of Earth, we send up missiles."

"Oh, Indira, I liked you before you said missiles," the Doctor told her.

"Me too," Rose said, agreeing with her husband, "How long do we have till the ship gets that close to the planet?"

"Six hours, nineteen minutes," Indira answered before she walked away from them.

"Right. Better get a shift on, then. Leave it with us," the Doctor said as he lowered his arms, "Come on then, Neffi! We're going to need help." He then grabbed Rose's hand and ran for the TARDIS with Nefertiti following them.

In the African plains in 1902, it was night as the Doctor ran up to a campsite where a lone man with light skin, brown eyes and hair named Riddell was sitting in front of a fire.

"More stew," the Doctor said as he sat next to Riddell.

"Where have you been, man?" Riddell asked the Time Lord, "Seven months. You said you were popping out for some liquorice! I had two very disappointed dancers on my hands. Not that I couldn't manage."

"Riddell, you do realise that I'm not the sort of person that cheats on my wife," the Doctor told him.

"Yeah, so I hear," Riddell muttered.

"Riddell, listen, I've found...well, something," the Doctor told him.

"No, no, no, no, no, no. I shan't fall for that again," Riddell stated as he ate some food from a bowl with a spoon before they stared at each other for a few seconds, "What is it?"

"Me and Rose have no idea," the Doctor answered, "Do you want to find out?"

In Cardiff, Wales, 2013, Jack was sitting at a desk inside his office of Torchwood Three, which had begun to be rebuilt from the events that transpired a few months after the Doctor and Rose's previous incarnation introduced Amy to him after they along with River dealt with the Weeping Angels on the Byzantium and was eyeing on paperwork when he suddenly heard the familiar sound of the TARDIS.

"I wonder what Doc and Rosie want for me this time," Jack muttered as he stood up from his desk.

As the sound of the TARDIS grew louder, Jack walked away from his desk, a grin spreading across his face. He'd been buried in paperwork for hours, and the prospect of an adventure was more than welcome.

The TARDIS materialised in the middle of the rebuilt building of Torchwood Three, its familiar blue exterior a comforting sight amidst the construction. The door creaked open, and out stepped the Doctor, his arm draped casually around Rose.

"Jack!" the Doctor greeted the ex-Time Agent with a smile on his face, "Ready for a trip to the stars?"

"We could use an extra hand, Jack," Rose said as she stepped forward as she smiled at him as well, "What do you say?"

"You two really know how to make an entrance," Jack chuckled as he shook his head in amusement, "Let me just grab my coat."

With that, he turned to fetch his World War II coat from his office, his mind already buzzing with anticipation for whatever adventure lay ahead.

Inside Amy and Rory's house, a middle-aged man with light skin, blue eyes and brownish hair named Brian was standing on a ladder changing the bulb of a ceiling light with Rory standing next to the ladder.

"I think it's the fitting," Brian told them.

"Dad, it's not the fitting, it just needs a new bulb," Rory stated as he looked up at him.

"You're wobbling the ladder," Brian told him.

"I'm not!" Rory argued as he held his hands up.

"I don't want another loft incident," Brian stated.

"How's my side, Brian?" Amy asked him as she stood on the other side of the ladder.

"Perfect, as ever, Amy," Brian answered.

"Thank you, Brian," Amy told him.

"I don't know what he said to you to make you marry him, but he's a lucky man," Brian muttered as Rory mouthed something, sarcastically when wind suddenly began to blow inside the house as they heard the TARDIS materialising.

"Not here, not now," Rory whispered to Amy as he looked at her.

"Did you leave the back door open?" Brian asked them.

"What are they doing?" Rory asked Amy as they continued to hear the TARDIS materialising.

"I'm going to kill them," Amy muttered as the TARDIS materialised around the three of them.

"Hello, you weren't busy, were you?" The Doctor asked Amy and Rory as he worked the TARDIS' controls with Rose as Riddell, Nefertiti and Jack stood in the console room with Riddell wearing a Safari stetson over his head, "Well, even if you were, it wasn't as interesting as this…" He then walked over to one side of the TARDIS console and flipped open a hatch with his right hand, revealing torches inside of it, "probably is. Didn't want you to miss it. Now, just a quick hop."

"Everybody grab a torch!" The Doctor ordered as everybody in the console room aside from Brian grabbed torches from the hatch as Brian dropped the light bulb as it fell to the floor and shattered on impact.

Outside the TARDIS was a corridor on the spaceship, where the Doctor was already examining the area close to the TARDIS with Rose next to him when Jack, Riddell, Nefertiti, Amy and Rory left the TARDIS as well.

"Spiders," the Doctor muttered as he and Rose watched a spider on a spider web in front of them as he aimed his torch at it, "Don't normally get spiders in space."

"Yeah, you sure don't usually get them in space," Rose said, agreeing with her husband when Brian stepped outside of the TARDIS.

"What the...?" Brian muttered as he looked around the area with surprise, confusion and shock in his voice.

"Don't move!" The Doctor ordered Brian as he strode over to him, "Do you really think I'm that stupid I wouldn't notice? How did you get aboard? Transmat? Who sent you?"

"Doctor…" Rory said, clearing his throat as he looked at the Time Lord, "That's my dad."

"Well, frankly, that's outrageous," the Doctor stated as he looked at him.

"What?" Rory said with confusion.

"You think you can bring your dad along without asking?" The Doctor asked him, "Me and Rose are not a taxi service, you know."

"You materialised around us!" Rory told him, causing Rose to giggle at her husband.

"That must be embarrassing," Jack stated as he walked up to the Time Lady, "Your husband accidentally materialised the TARDIS around Amy, Rory and my grandfather-in-law."

"Yeah, it sure is, Jack," Rose said, agreeing with him.

"Oh, well, that's fine then, my mistake," the Doctor muttered as he turned around towards Brian, "Hello, Brian, how are you?" He then shook Brian's hand, "Nice to meet you. Welcome, welcome!" He then spun around, "This is the gang. Me and Rose have got a gang, yes! Come on then, everyone!" He then walked away down the corridor with Rose, Jack, Riddell and Nefertiti.

"Tell him something, quick," Amy told Rory before she followed both Gallifreyans, Jack, Riddell and Nefertiti.

"Yes, thank you!" Rory replied as he looked at her.

"I'm not entirely sure what's going on," Brian admitted with confusion in his voice.

"You know when Amy and I first got married and we went travelling…" Rory began to say.

"To Thailand," Brian told him.

"More the entirety of space and time. In that police box," Rory corrected, "And that man in the coat that looks like it's from World War II is actually your grandson-in-law." They suddenly heard a loud thudding sound in the distance as the ship quaked before Rory and Brian followed the others.

"All right, where are we, and what is that noise?" Amy asked both Gallifreyans, "And hello, 10 months!"

"Yeah, it's great to see you again, Amy," Rose said, happily as she hugged their ginger companion.

"Orbiting Earth. Well, I say orbiting. More like pre-crashing on a spaceship. Don't know," the Doctor answered, "And hello, Pond." He then hugged Amy as well for a second, "10 months. Time flies. Never really understood that phrase." He then introduced Nefertiti and Riddell to her, "This is Neffi, this is Riddell. They're with us."

"With the two of you?" Amy repeated with surprise in her voice, "They're with you, are they the new us? Is that why we haven't seen you?"

"No, they're just people," the Doctor explained, "They're not Ponds! I thought we might need a gang, not really had a gang before, it's new."

"Don't worry, Amy, they're just friends of ours," Rose assured her when they suddenly heard the grinding gears of a lift as it neared their level.

"It's coming down," the Doctor stated.

"What is it?" Riddell asked the Time Lord.

"No idea," the Doctor answered.

"I'm not sure what it is either," Rose said, agreeing with her husband.

"Whatever it is, we're about to find out," Jack stated as the lift doors slid open and they were blinded somewhat from the light within as they heard roaring and the shadows of two large animals.

"Not possible!" Brian muttered in disbelief.

"Run!" The Doctor ordered everyone.

"Do what he says and run!" Rose said, agreeing with her husband.

"You heard them, let's move!" Jack told everyone as he and the others ran away from the animals from the door.

"Doctor!" Rose called out to her husband as she stopped and turned around towards her husband as she realised that he hadn't moved.

"I know, Arkytior," the Doctor said as he continued to look at the doorway, "Dinosaurs, on a spaceship!" He then laughed as she grabbed his hand as they began to run away as two Ankylosaurus came out of the lift making roars and bumping heads against each other.

The gang rushed down the corridor with Nefertiti, Brian, Amy and Rory in the front with Jack and Ridell covering them with their guns. Rose and the Doctor caught up to them as Nefertiti saw an opening to the side too narrow for the dinosaurs to enter.

"In here!" Nefertiti ordered everyone as they ducked into the niche.

"Oh, dear. Ohhh!" The Doctor muttered as he slid to a stop and put left hand's index finger to his lips. They heard the dinosaurs' roars and thuds as they stomped down the corridor. When they came abreast of the hiding place, Riddel took out a large Knife with his right hand as he threw it in the air for a second before it landed back in his right hand.

"I could take one of them," Riddell whispered, "Short blow, up into the throat."

"Or not. We've just found dinosaurs," the Doctor muttered in a whispered tone, "In space! We need to preserve them."

"And who's going to preserve us?" Riddell asked him in a whispered tone.

Amy then shushed them both, causing them to remain quiet and still as the dinosaurs continued down the corridor, their tails swinging and knocking a loose masonry from the walls as they crept back out into the corridor.

"OK, so…how?" Rory said with confusion in his voice, "And whose ship?"

"There's so much to discover," the Doctor told him, "Think how much wiser we'll be by the end of all this."

"And it's not about the 'how', Rory. It's about the 'why,'" Rose stated, "Why are there dinosaurs on a spaceship? That's the real mystery."

"And while we're solving mysteries, let's also figure out how to get out of here without becoming dinosaur lunch," Jack added.

"Sorry. Sorry," Rory apologised.

"Well, Rory, at least you're polite," Jack told his father-in-law, "That's one way to make a good impression on the dinosaurs."

"Are you two saying dinosaurs are flying a spaceship?" Brian asked both Gallifreyans.

"Now that's an image, Brian. But no, I don't think the dinosaurs have their pilot's licence yet," Jack joked as he chuckled.

"Brian, please," the Doctor muttered with disbelief, "That would be ridiculous. They're probably just passengers."

"Even though dinosaurs were one of the most successful species to ever live, their brain size wouldn't allow for the complex tasks of building and piloting a spaceship," Rose added, "It's more likely that they're passengers, just like the Doctor said."

"Did I mention missiles?" The Doctor asked them.

"Missiles?" Brian repeated with fear as he looked at him and Rory.

"Didn't want to worry you," the Doctor told him, "Anyway, six hours is a lifetime. Not literally a lifetime. That's what we're trying to avoid. And we're all really clever."

"Missiles or not, we've faced worse, right?" Rose said with a smile on her face, "We just need to stay calm, think and trust the Doctor."

"Let's see what we can find out. Come on," the Doctor said as he walked down the corridor with everyone following him and spotted a room filled with banks of equipment overgrown with vines and covered in spiderwebs.

"Well, this looks promising," Jack stated as he stared at the equipment, "Let's see what we've got here."

"Look at this place. It's like a time capsule," Rose muttered as the Doctor pulled webs from the face of the screen of the equipment with his left hand, which looked like it was a computer.

"Ugh!" The Doctor muttered as he wiped his left hand on Brian's clothes.

"How many dinosaurs do you think are on here?" Amy asked the Time Lord as she aimed her torch on one of the walls as she saw that there were marks from a dinosaur on it.

"Currently, it'll be impossible to tell," Jack stated as the Doctor pulled out his sonic screwdriver from his jacket with his right hand and used it on the computer, causing the computer screen to come to life as he, Rory and Brian stand on either side of the Doctor, looking over his shoulders.

"Oh, well done, whoever you are. Looking for engines," the Doctor said as the screen changed to show images of the ship as he placed his sonic screwdriver back inside his jacket's pocket, "Thank you, computer. Look at that, different sections have different engines, but these look like the primary clusters. Where are we now, computer? We need to get down to these engines." He then touched the screen with his right hand's index finger, causing him, Jack, Rory and Brian to be teleported away.

"What happened?" Nefertiti asked as she saw the Doctor, Jack, Rory and Brian being teleported away.

"Oh, great," Amy muttered to herself.

"Don't worry, they're fine," Rose assured them, "They've just been transported to another part of the ship. We should try to find them."

"Find out…" the Doctor said as he, Jack, Rory and Brian suddenly arrived on a beach with an overcast sky.

"What?" Rory muttered as he looked around the area.

"We're outside," Brian stated, "We're on a beach."

"Well, this is a first. A beach inside a spaceship," Jack muttered, "I've seen some things like a Pterodactyl in Cardiff from the rift, but this…"

"Teleport… Oh, I hate teleports!" The Doctor said with irritation in his voice, "Must have activated on my voice."

"Teleports, always a wild ride. But hey, at least it's not a Vortex Manipulator," Jack stated as he tapped his Vortex Manipulator with his right hand, "Those things can be rough."

"Ah, yes. Well, thank you, Arthur C Clarke. Teleport, obviously, I mean, we're on a spaceship with dinosaurs," Brian stated, sarcastically as he stared at the Time Lord, "Why wouldn't there be a teleport? In fact, why don't we just teleport now?!" He then walked off away from them.

"Easy, Brian. It's not every day you get to teleport on a dinosaur-filled spaceship," Jack told his grandfather-in-law as he chuckled.

"Is he all right?" The Doctor asked the nurse.

"No, he hates travelling," Rory answered, "Makes him anxious. He only goes to the paper shop and golf."

"What did you bring him for?" The Doctor asked him.

"I didn't!" Rory reminded him, "Why can't you just phone ahead, like any normal person like Rose does to catch up on me and Amy on occasion?"

"Well, Doctor, sometimes it's the people who least like adventures who need them the most," Jack told the Time Lord.

"Can somebody tell me where we are," Brian requested as he walked back over to them, "Now!"

"Well, it's not Earth," the Doctor stated after he stuck his tongue out for a second, "Doesn't taste right, too metallic."

"And it's definitely not Cardiff either," Jack added, "Too quiet."

"Is that a kestrel?" Brian asked as they heard a large bird flying overhead as it screeched.

"I do hope so," the Doctor told him.

"The beach is humming," Rory said as he felt the ground shaking from where he was standing and touched it with his right hand's fingers.

"Is it?" The Doctor asked as he crouched as he felt the ground shaking with his right hand's fingers as well, "Oh, yes." He then stood back up, "Right, well, don't just stand there, you three. Dig!" He then brushed his hands, "I'm going to look at rocks. Love a rock."

"Dig with what?" Rory asked the Time Lord as he walked off and held his hands up as he kept walking away from them.

"Well, I always come prepared," Jack told them as he pulled out a sonic trowel from his pocket with his right hand and began digging the same with it, "You never know when a sonic trowel will come in handy."

"Ah! Well!" Brian said as he pulled a collapsible trowel from his pocket with his left hand as he began digging the sand with it as well.

"Did you just have that on you?" Rory asked his father with disbelief.

"Course," Brian answered as he looked up at him, "What sort of a man doesn't carry a trowel? Put it in your Christmas list."

"Dad, I'm 31," Rory reminded him as he crouched next to him, "I don't have a Christmas list any more."

"I do!" The Doctor shouted back at them as he rose both of his arms as he looked at them before Rory gave him a thumbs-up when Brian suddenly tapped metal under the sand with his trowel.

"There's a floor under this beach," Brian realised.

"Doctor!" Rory called out to the Time Lord as he ran towards him with Jack, "Doctor!"

"We found something!" Jack added.

"There are clearly more than just two of those creatures," Riddell said as he, Rose, Amy and Nefertiti were exploring one of the corridors of the spaceship as he drank from a flask.

"And who knows what else we might find on this ship," Rose added.

"Hey, put that away, we need you sober," Amy told Riddell as she slapped his right arm with her left hand

"It's medicinal," Riddell explained, "And I don't take orders from females."

"Well, you'd better start learning, because around here, we don't have time for outdated attitudes," Rose retorted as she looked at him.

"Then learn," Nefertiti told him, "Any man who speaks to me that way, I execute."

"You're very welcome to try," Riddell muttered as he smiled at her.

"Sorry, what was your name again?" Amy asked the Egyptian Queen.

"Lady of the Two Lands, wife of the Great King Amenhotep, Queen Nefertiti of Egypt," Nefertiti answered.

"I'll be damned…" Riddell muttered with disbelief in his voice as he removed his stetson from his head.

"Oh, my God! Queen Nefertiti?" Amy said with shock in her voice, "I learned all about you at school. You're awesome. Big fan. High five." Amy then held her left hand up, causing Nefertiti to stare at her, "Yeah, bit behind on that. You're really famous."

"Me and the Doctor met her after helping her and her people against a giant weapon-bearing alien locust attack a few hours ago," Rose added, "We promised her one adventure and that's it."

"Ssh! Listen," Riddell said as they heard loud, rumbling snorts as he lowered his torch with its light aiming at the floor to reveal a sleeping Tyrannosaurus Rex on the floor in front of them.

"Okay. At a guess, T-Rex. Not yet full size," Amy surmised, "We're in the middle of a dinosaur nest."

"You're right, Amy," Rose confirmed, "That is a baby T-Rex."

"I propose a retreat," Riddell suggested before they began to head back the way they came until they heard more dinosaurs, "Or perhaps forwards."

"Agreed," Amy said, agreeing with him, "Just don't wake the baby."

"Let's keep moving," Rose told them, "We need to find out what's going on here."

They then slowly moved forward as Riddell stepped over the sleeping T-Rex at its neck. He then stepped on a piece of paper that rustled, causing the T-Rex to snort, but didn't wake up. Riddell then sighed before pulling his other leg over and nearly lost his balance. He then smiled when he was over the dinosaur as Nefertiti shook her head as he placed his stetson back over his head before they continued on.

"Who are you, anyway?" Amy asked Riddell.

"John Riddell. Big game hunter on the African plains," Riddell answered, "I'm sure you've heard of me, too."

"No," Amy told him.

"You clearly have some alarming gaps in your education," Riddell stated.

"Or men who hunt defenceless creatures just don't impact on history," Amy argued as Rose giggled, "Face it, she's way cooler than you."

"Nefertiti sure is," Rose said, agreeing with her and the Doctor's ginger companion.

"And you, Amy? Are you also a queen?" Nefertiti asked Amy.

"Yes. Yes, I am," Amy answered.

"See? Metal floor. Screens in rocks," the Doctor said as he had found the computer of the ship on the part of the ship that looked like a beach, "It was just a short-range teleport. We're still on the ship."

"Well, that's not something you see every day," Jack muttered, "A part of a ship that resembles a beach."

"No. We're outside, on a beach," Brian said with confusion in his voice.

"No, it's part of the ship, Dad," Rory told him.

"Don't be ridiculous," Brian said with confusion.

"It's a bit hard to wrap your head around, isn't it?" Jack asked his grandfather-in-law, "But that's the beauty of space travel. Expect the unexpected."

"Well, it is quite ridiculous," the Doctor said, agreeing with Brian, "Also brilliant. That's why the system teleported us here. I wanted the engines." He then turned around and held his arms out, "This is the engine room! Hydro-generators! Ha!"

"Hydro-generators, impressive tech," Jack stated, "Not easy to come by."

"I have literally no idea what he's saying," Brian admitted as he looked at Rory.

"A spaceship powered by waves," Rory explained.

"Fabulously impossible," the Doctor said as he put his hands over Brian and Rory's shoulders, "Oh, think of the things we could learn from this ship if we manage to stop it being blown to pieces."

"Plus, not dying," Rory added.

"Bad news is can't shut the wave systems down in time. Takes…" the Doctor began to say before he removed his hands from Rory and Brian's shoulders as he turned around and looked up, "It takes way too long."

"If these are the engines, there must be a control room," Rory stated as he studied the screen.

"Exactly," the Doctor said, agreeing with the nurse as he placed his hands over Brian and Rory's shoulders again, "That's what we need to find." He then whispered to the three of them, "Now, what do we do about the things that aren't kestrels?"

The four of them then slowly turned around and the creatures screeched as they got closer to them as they saw that they didn't look like birds.

"Oh, my Lord," Brian muttered, "Are those pterodactyls?"

"Pterodactyls, now that's a sight for sore eyes," Jack stated as the pterodactyls began flying closer towards them, "But maybe not the best time for bird watching."

"Yes. On any other occasion, I'd be thrilled," the Doctor told Brian, "Exposed on a beach, less than thrilled. We should be going." The Doctor then grabbed his and Rory's hands before the three of them ran along the beach in front of a cliff face.

"Where?" Brian asked the Time Lord.

"Definitely away from them!" The Doctor told him.

"That's the plan?" Rory asked him with disbelief.

"Rory, right now, that's probably the only thing he can think of without us being eaten by them!" Jack stated as he looked at his father-in-law for a second.

"That's the plan? Amendments welcome," the Doctor told the nurse, "Move away from the pterodactyls."

"I think they might be noticing," Rory stated as he looked up at the pterodactyls.

"Yeah, you're right, Rory, they do seem to be noticing us," Jack said, agreeing with him.

"Amendment passed. Run!" The Doctor told them.

"Can't we just teleport or something?" Rory asked him.

"No, local teleport's burned out on arrival," the Doctor answered as the pterodactyls continued to fly towards them as they began to approach them as the Doctor noticed a cave nearby, "There's an opening in the cliffs over there!"

"Come on!" Rory urged his father.

"I'm trying!" Brian told him and as they began to approach the cave, one of the pterodactyls nipped Rory on the shoulder as they began to evade it as they made it inside the cave and once as they safely entered the cave, Rory stopped and leaned against the wall.

"Are you all right?" Brian asked him.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Rory answered, "What do we do now? There's no way back out there."

"He's right, we can't go back the way we came," Jack stated, "We'll be slaughtered by pterodactyls."

"Through the cave," the Doctor answered, "Come on." The Doctor then headed deeper into the cave with Jack, but stopped upon hearing a loud thudding nearby, "That suggestion was a work in progress."

"We're trapped," Brian stated as he looked at the Time Lord and ex-Time Agent.

"Yes, thanks for spelling it out," the Doctor muttered as he looked at him with the corner of his eye.

"Doctor, whatever's down there is coming this way," Rory told the Time Lord.

"Yeah, we can hear that, Rory," Jack stated as he looked at him with the corner of his eye.

"Spelling it out is hereditary," the Doctor muttered to himself, "Wonderful!"

"That sound's getting nearer," Brian told them before the Doctor backed up with Jack until the four of them had nowhere to go as two large yellow coloured robots appeared in front of them.

"We're very cross with you," one of the robots said with a masculine voice.

"Bit of weed killer wouldn't go amiss in here," Amy muttered as she, Rose, Nefertiti and Riddell entered a lab that had overgrown plants and vines inside it.

"Whoever was running this vessel left in a hurry," Riddell stated.

"Maybe a plague came and took them," Nefertiti suggested.

"I doubt that, Nefertiti," Rose told the Egyptian queen, "We would've seen signs of it by now."

"She's right, there'd be corpses and bones," Riddell said, agreeing with the Time Lady.

"Unless the animals ate them," Nefertiti stated.

"Whoa, Chuckle Brothers," Amy muttered to herself, "Lighten up, would you?"

"Amy's right, we need to concentrate, not fight amongst ourselves," Rose said, agreeing with her and the Doctor's ginger companion as she and Amy found a computer before Amy pressed a few buttons on it, causing the machine to hum to life as its lights came on as well.

"How did you know how to do that?" Nefertiti asked Amy.

"I've spent enough time with the Doctor and Rose here to know whenever you enter somewhere new, press buttons," Amy answered.

"What else have you learned from him and Rose here?" Nefertiti asked her.

"Don't stop at button pressing," Amy answered as she found a small sphere and placed it on a tray as she inserted it into the computer.

"Sometimes, you can't press every button, Amy," Rose told her, "But if it's blood control, then you should as survival instinct's too strong."

"One hundred and seventeen years…" the four of them heard a masculine voice say from the computer but didn't show a picture as Rose pulled out her pair of glasses and put them on.

"Data records," Amy stated.

"Yeah, it seems like it, Amy," Rose said, agreeing with her and her husband's ginger companion.

"Ship's owners?" Riddell asked them.

"Could be," Amy muttered as she clicked a few more keys on the computer's keyboard with her hands' fingers, "Come on, help us out."

"...will remain cryogenic…" the masculine voice went on from the computer as Riddell heard a muted roar and aimed his torch to the corridor where he saw a shadow of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, "Whilst they sleep, I will continue to work, being careful to…"

"How about a picture?" Amy asked the computer, "Come on, for me?"

"...far beyond our land," the masculine voice added as Amy slapped the side of the computer with her right hand, causing a picture to slowly come into focus from the computer.

"Look! It's beautiful," Nefertiti said as she pointed at the screen with her right hand's index finger at the screen as an image of a male Silurian elder appeared on it.

"I can't tell how far we have come," the Silurian elder stated, "Far enough to avoid the destructive impact forecast for our planet. Far enough for me to feel a profound sense of loss."

"Little do they know that the destructive impact that they predicted was actually the moon coming into orbit," Rose muttered to herself.

"What is that?" Riddell asked them.

"Silurian," Amy answered.

"Also known as Homo reptilia," Rose added as she removed her glasses and placed them back inside her jacket's pocket, "The ancient rulers of Earth before humans."

"You're going straight on the naughty step," one of the robots told the Doctor, Jack, Rory and Brian as they walked down a corridor of the spaceship with the Time Lord and humans in front of him and the other robot.

"What's the escape plan?" Brian asked the Doctor in a whispered tone.

"Why do we want to escape?" The Doctor asked him.

"Because it's more fun that way," Jack answered as he smiled.

"They have us hostage," Brian said at the same time.

"They're taking us somewhere," Rory told his father, "We might learn from it."

"Oh, you see?" The Doctor said as he pinched Rory's left cheek with his right hand, "So clever. I missed you, Rory and I think Rose has as well."

"Don't do that," Rory told him.

"What if they kill us?" Brian asked them.

"They wouldn't do that!" The Doctor argued as he turned around and tapped one of the Robots on the chest, "You're not going to kill us, are you, Rusty?"

"Who are you calling Rusty?" The first robot asked the Time Lord.

"Have you seen yourself lately?" The Doctor retorted.

"He's got you there, Rusty," Jack said as he laughed.

"You try being on this ship for two millennia," the first robot told them, "See how your paintwork does."

"Don't listen to them," the other robot told the first robot, "They're just being mean cos we captured them."

"Oh, my goodness!" Brian said as he turned around with a look of amazement on his face.

"Whoa!" Rory muttered as he, the Doctor and Jack turned around as well and saw a triceratops in front of them.

"Ooh! Herbivore, Brian, don't panic," the Doctor told Brian, "Triceratops. Ha! Beautiful."

"I've ridden one of those before," Jack said as she smiled before the Doctor bent over as the triceratops walked over to them.

"Shall I shoot it?" The other robot asked the first robot.

"We're not supposed to shoot the creatures, stupid," the first robot told him.

"Stop calling me stupid," the second robot said as he looked at him as the dinosaur roared at the Time Lord and the humans.

"'Rah!' yourself," the Doctor said as he began to talk to it as if it was a baby, "Hello, cutie-pie. Who's a lovely Tricey then, eh?" He then stroked its snout with his right hand, "Yes, you are. Yes, you are."

"What do I do?! What do I do?!" Brian asked as the dinosaur sniffed him, "What's it doing?!"

"You don't have any vegetable matter in your trousers, do you, Brian?" The Doctor asked him as he looked at him.

"Only my balls," Brian answered, causing Rory to cover his eyes with his right hand in embarrassment.

"I'm sorry?" The Doctor asked him with confusion in his voice.

"Golf balls," Brian explained as he took two golf balls from his pocket as Rory lowered his right arm, "Grassy residue."

"What're you carrying those around for?" Rory asked his father.

"Brian, you're full of surprises!" Jack laughed as he looked at his grandfather-in-law, "Who knew golf balls would come in handy on a spaceship?" The triceratops then licked Brian's face, leaving a trail of slimy saliva.

"Ugh! Ew! Ah!" Brian said with a disgusted look on his face.

"Oh, bless," the Doctor muttered.

"Get it away from me!" Brian pleaded with them.

"Throw one," the Doctor told him.

"Really?" Brian asked the Time Lord as he stared at the triceratops, "Is this what you want? Is it?" He then threw one of the golf balls with the triceratops running after it.

"And breathe out," the Doctor told Brian as he patted him on the back before he turned back around towards the robots, "Right! Take us to your leader."

"Really?" Rory asked the Time Lord with disbelief in his voice.

"Too good to resist," the Doctor explained as he clapped his hands in anticipation, "I haven't said that since me and Rose were on a spaceship replica of the Titanic as it was crashing down towards Earth and nearly collided with Buckingham Place on Christmas day of 2008."

"So, that was you and Rose?" Jack asked them, "It sure sounds like something that you and her would do." They then continued down the corridor.

"Of the 50 species loaded, only one has had any difficulty in surviving," the Silurian elder from the computer screen went on as Amy, Rose, Nefertiti and Riddell continued to watch the Silurian's log, "All the others are thriving, and we expect them to be able to repopulate."

"We're on an ark," Amy realised, "A Silurian ark."

"Lizard-people herding dinosaurs on to a space ark?!" Riddell said with disbelief in his voice, "Absolute tommyrot."

"You'd be surprised at what you can find in the universe, Riddell," Rose told him with a smile on her face.

"Only an idiot denies the evidence of their own eyes," Nefertiti stated as she pointed at the computer screen with her right hand for a second.

"Egyptian queen or not, I shall put you across my knee and spank you," Riddell said, flirting with her as he stared at her.

"Oh, Lord," Amy muttered to herself.

"Oh, brother," Rose said as she shook her head at the same time.

"Try! And I'll snap your neck in a heartbeat," Nefertiti told Riddell.

"Hmm," Riddell muttered, "Well, they certainly bred firecrackers in your time."

"Aw, no, no, no," Amy said, "Please, don't start flirting. Me and Rose will not have flirting companions!"

"Agreed," Rose told her as she laughed, "We definitely won't have flirting companions."

"If the Doctor trusts Amy like Rose here does, so do I," Nefertiti stated, "Stop doubting her."

"If this ship was built by…" Riddell began to say.

"Silurians, yeah," Amy said, finishing his train of thought.

"Where are they?" Riddell asked her.

"Surprisingly good question," Amy told him.

"Yeah, that's a great question, Riddell," Rose said, agreeing with him as she pulled her glasses back out from her jacket's pocket again and put them back on, "Display life signs for Homo reptilia." The computer screen showed the words 'No Life Signs Detected,' causing Rose and Amy to share a look for a second as they stared at the computer screen.

"But where have they gone?" Amy asked herself.

"Perhaps they found another world, left the ship," the Egyptian queen suggested.

"Well, why are the dinosaurs still on board? And why is the ship coming back to Earth? It doesn't make sense. What's changed between then and now?" Amy argued as Riddell removed his stetson with his left hand and put his right hand through his hair, "Wait, computer? Show me the ship at launch with all life signals." The screen then showed the ship with hundreds or thousands of life forms throughout the ship, "Now show me the ship today with all life signals." The screen then showed an image with a considerably less amount of life forms on the ship, "Thousands less. But why? I mean... Show me both images, then and now, side by side."

"What are you looking for?" Riddell asked her as the computer showed both images side-by-side.

"OK, two images, spot the difference," Amy told him, "What changed? What happened to the Silurians?"

"The centre," Nefertiti said as she pointed at the image on the right side of the computer screen that showed less life forms than the other one with her right hand's index finger.

"Computer, zoom in to the centre," Amy ordered the computer before it zoomed in on the centre of the ship before she saw something within the centre of the ship, "Oh, no."

"That's not good," Rose muttered as she leaned in to look at the screen.

"What is it?" Riddell asked them.

"Another spacecraft," Amy answered, "This ship's been boarded before."

"And that might just be our answer," Rose added as she removed her glasses from her eyes and placed them back inside her jacket's pocket again.
