Hello! I just wanna write this by saying that thank you so much for all the support, it REALLY means a lot to me with this story. I also want to apologize for how I acted with the previous Author's notes were I just went ballistic at people. I really didn't want to do that but it just had to be done at that point, and thankfully not a single one of them messaged me or harasser me for their stupid stuff or just harassments. Either way, I'm not even going to bother with that type of negativity anymore. I know my story does have flaws and I'm not self absorbed to think that either, obviously every form of media can be improved upon no matter what since nothing's perfect. You take yourself too seriously and that's when people aren't gonna accept you and interact with you lol.

Anyway, I am just writing this because I just wanted to clarify two things I forgot to mention in the Authors notes in the previous chapter and writing right now will take a week delay due to some IRL stuff, so I figured I should just let you guys know what's going on behind the scenes that way you don't think I just up and abandoned my story or take forever to write like last time lol.

First, I just want to start this off by saying that this is in no way bashing Ichiei Ishibumi on his work. The man is an incredible writer and I wish him nothing but the best and good health since he has been having severe health issues over the years. However, my take on High School DxD will be a lot more darker and a lot less well... under-utilized in some areas and downright stupid in others. The glaring problems that myself and a lot of the High School DxD community has with the series comes down this:

1. Lack of World Building. DxD is a series that has every mythology being canon to the series, yet we don't see any of them and at most get a brief mention of some of them. Currently, off the top of my head we only know about the Biblical Factions, Dragons, Vampires, Greek (barely), and Norse. There is so much room for stories that the series just doesn't take advantage of, even with actual mythology and real world history. This argument also applies over to the factions we know about as well, since we really don't know anything about the Devils and their politics, nobility, etc. The series explains that Rias, Riser, Saiaorg, Sona, and Seekveeria were considered to be the top five youngest devils and who had the potential to lead their races, yet the series only focuses on Rias and everyone else sadly gets dropped later on in the series and only makes them relevant or needed when the plot calls for it. Hell, we still don't fully know what happened to the Dragons and Nekomata clans of the series.

2. The ecchiness. This is something I can look past since the ecchiness is pretty funny and it's not overbearing like how some series do it (I AM LOOKING AT YOU VALKYRIE MERMAID DRIVE) , but I get where people are coming from regarding the later part of the series. Issei does connect with his harem and falls in love with them and vice versa, resulting in them getting engaged later on, the ecchiness really becomes stale later on. Whenever the ecchiness begins, it's usually one of his girls pressing their breasts into him and Issei freaking out before another girl stops them. While it was funny early, it played into Issei's character since he was terrified of falling in love with anyone after what Raynare did to him. However, after accepting that part of him and forgiving what Raynare did to him so he can move on, he really shouldn't have that issue with them anymore and would want to do things with them now. Technically, he should be at Basara's level in Testament of Sister New Devil with them. I get why he can't do it with Koneko since it was explained in the Romania arc that she was too small to handle him, but that doesn't mean he can't do anything sexual with the other girls. This also plays into the concepts and plot of Shin Volume 4 and 5 were Issei didn't like girls boobs anymore... ya i'm not joking on that one lol.

3. The Villains and the Faction Leaders. This is something I more agree on than disagree on. The villains in DxD are either dumb, wasted, or just there. For instance, Loki attacking the Underworld so brazenly doesn't really fit his character since he IS the god of mischief and trickery, someone who keeps Thor AND Odin on their toes regularly since he is so unpredictable, Vali went from a Vergil/Sasuke-esque character to being something totally different and his team was built up to be something like the DxD version of the Akatsuki or Espada, Kokabiel being built up for a downright stupid goal, and Rizevim honestly just being mid with the only thing going for him is being funny. The faction leaders on the other hand, really don't do much until the end when Trihexa finally forms. For instance, Sirzechs just left Kokabiel to his sister who wasn't capable of defeating him what so ever and his "reinforcements" didn't even show for the battle, The satans and Azazel leaving Loki to them again (though you can make an argument that they couldn't due to nobility but even that is flimsy), Vali's betrayal and the school invasion being left to Issei, etc. A lot of the problems could be played out differently if the faction leaders actually did their jobs.

4. Black and White Morality. This I can one hundred percent agree with, as the DxD series treats essentially anyone who doesn't side with Issei and the Devils as the bad guy and anyone who does good. There really isn't a faction out there that isn't good nor bad, they just wanna be left alone, or that they had a reason to do something evil even though they actually didn't want to do so.

5. Issei and the girls. Issei and the girls don't have a lot of depth, if any at all. In the early stages of the series, you can tell they all had a distinct personality and trait to them even if it was cliche in some areas, and Issei's pain about what happened with Raynare is actually a decent way to explain why he is so perverted and doesn't try to do anything with them. However, the problems start to come after the events of Season 4, where Issei finally forgives Raynare for what she did to him and he tells Rias that he loves her. Besides his goal later on being that he just wanted peace, Issei really doesn't have anything going for him at that point, including the girls. While Comedic MCs are good for series that involve battle, they usually have a blunt Deuteragonist that keeps them ground for the dark and serious storylines, like Killua and Gon, Goku and Vegeta, or Naruto and Sasuke. Issei doesn't have that balance since Vali really does his own thing, which hurts Issei and the girls since they still act like kids and still are comedic heavily in certain arcs that involve dark storytelling. Of course, they are teens so it's understandable, but later on they should know that they effectively CHANGED the world forever and they can't go back to the fun loving hunky dorey life prior.

Take a look at Ichigo for example. Ichigo's goal changes and gets more in-depth as the series progresses. He wants to find his place in a world he isn't ready for and want's to forgive himself about his mother's death, and after he does he vows to protect those who can't protect themselves so they wouldn't go through the pain he went through when he was a child. Then his goal changes by being fearful of his Hollow and such, and later on seeing him not appreciate the value of having his friends fight beside him. It all culminates into the final arc, where he gets the closure he needs about his mother and accepts his Hollow AND Orihime's help, completing his character arc. I am not saying that a Harem/ecchi series needs to have as complex writing as Bleach and Shonen series, but Ichiei could've done more with Issei. Imagine if Issei did something similar with Ichigo, or hell do his own thing and become a leader like Naruto, since the Harem King plot point doesn't really go anywhere since he already has one.

Again, this isn't me bashing on the series. I am a BIG fan of High School DxD and the premise of it is pretty damn awesome, and the dub of the series is just top tier writing with how funny it can be. However, this doesn't mean that there isn't issues with the series. So, my story is going to correct (or at least try to) the problems in the series. Like I said above, this is going to be A LOT darker and sexual without bordering on the edgy aspect for the sake of being edgy. So how I would correct this is:

1. SEVERELY dial back some of the influences of certain factions, that way you don't have to think about them as much or at all and they won't take up a bunch of time. Of course the ones who are vital to DxD plot points will be there, but the ones who aren't won't be there as much. Riser, Sona, Saiaorg, and Seekveeria are going to have much more expanded roles in the story and feel like actual characters rather than being one dimensional. Real world events will be tied into certain factions, similar to how Rick Riordan did it in his Percy Jackson series. This way it makes the universe feel more alive and connected. The "Can't Fear Your Own World" Arc will tie into the politics and mystery behind Koneko and Kuroka's life and what happened to the Nekomata clans and how devil society works on a deeper level. Tokinada will be the main villain of course and Shuhei and the rest of the cast from the CFYOW novels will have their time to shine in that arc like canon, but also except to see some DxD characters there as well. I won't spoil much but think of this similar to the Coup arc in AOT or a gritty spy thriller where you don't know who to even trust sort of deal.

2. Issei and the girls, and pretty much every couple here will have sex later on. I'm not gonna write it since I don't think Lemons here are needed, but it's going to be HEAVILY implied that they are fucking now. There's a line I made here in the third chapter that Bazz and Candice were fucking. That's how its gonna be type of deal. There will be talks of it happening, but there isn't going to be lemons written about it. However, this won't be until the event so Season 4, and we are currently on season 2 so it's not for a while.

3. The villains are getting an upgrade and won't be one dimensional in some aspects. Don't expect them to be like Aizen level or anything lol, but expect them to actually have some character and reasons why sorta deal. Also, the Loki arc is gonna be A LOT different compared to the canon, since Loki is going to be more of a trickster and master illusionist and based off of Tom Hiddleston's portrayal in the MCU. The faction leaders are going to be more active in some things or will have reasons why they can't do something, and Vali will actually be similar to that of Sasuke and Vergil when it comes to rivalry with Issei but still keeping his canon self. Keep in mind that NO ONE IS GOING TO BE OOC here, my ENTIRE OBJECTIVE here is just expand on their characters. THAT'S IT.

4. Not every person is going to have a black and white morality situation. There will be some villains who are just insane for the sake of it, but some big bads that Ichiei didn't really do justice will get some more screentime here.

5. Issei is going to have a different character arc post season 4, including the girls as well.

Second and last, I already explained this in the last chapter, but I never found that any DxD fight had any sort of weight to them. After all, these factions are ACTIVELY trying to kill each other, but they never try to go for it, and we are constantly told that Rias and her group are good fighters, but all we really see is them doing simple parries and kicks. So to rectify that problem, people will die in this story, and our cast will actually have to kill people (if it fits their character. Ichigo won't be going around killing people left and right. But for someone like Koneko or Xenovia it's fair game) and their fighting styles will be MUCH more fleshed out and nuanced compared to canon, and later when the story progresses and when they are trained by both the Shinigami and Quincy, as well as some individuals from the DxD verse, the list will grow. So below is the FULL LIST of everyone's fighting capabilities CURRENTLY.

Koneko:

Fighting Styles: Liu Kang's fighting style from MK11, Silat, Muay Thai, and Wrestling.

Special Moves: Lightning Kicks (Chun Li), Dragon Kick (Liu Kang), Cartwheel Kick (SF4 Crimson Viper).

Kiba:

Fighting Styles: Kenjutsu, Iaijutsu, Kendo, Iaido, and Ninjutsu.

Special Moves: 100 Slash (MvC 3 Taskmaster Ultimate)

Akeno:

Fighting Styles: Lightning Magic, Ice Magic, Water Magic.

Special Moves: Flash Freeze Ball (MK Sub-Zero. Not perfected). Water Bubble (similar to Rain from MK9. Also not perfected.)

Rias:

Fighting Styles: Power of Destruction.

Special Moves: Extinguishing Star.

Issei:

Fighting Style: Street Fighter (Average), Wrestling (above average)

Special Moves: Dragon Shot.

Anyway, thats it. Like I said, this is going to be a MUCH darker and sexual tone for the series going forward without it being edgy and angsty for the sake of it. Going forward, the series will take some aspects from series such as the Elder Scrolls Skyrim and Oblivion, Overlord, and Bleach, as well as real world mythology and events. Case In point? Giselle and the Bambies are Nazi's and Gerard was apart of Erik the Red's crew who were the most VIOLENT vikings in history. The rest of the Sternritter's will get some more expanded background and history on their lives before they joined the Wanden Reich. Also, yes I am aware that Giselle is canonically a man, I just changed him into a girl for this and his personality to be like an amalgamation of Caboose from RVB and Harley Quinn, Deal with it.

The Gremory and Sitri Group are going to be trained later on in the series by the Gotei 13 and Uryu's empire, so they will get stronger later on in the series. Currently, they are only around mid Lieutenant level class in Shinigami standards with Issei bordering on High Lieutenant due to his VERY incomplete balance breaker. Though near the EOS they are going to surpass Espada and maybe even Bankai Yamamoto lol (Which before you rage at me for saying that, remember that EOS Kenpachi, Ichigo, Squad 0, Grimmjow, and Aizen outscale Bankai Yama, and Issei has the power of dragons so it ain't far fetched. Like I said, this isn't going to be a power wank where Bleach is just stronger than DxD no matter what.) If you guys have any sort of suggestion of a character's fighting style from an anime or video game would be best suitable for who, then drop a comment and i'll check it out, who knows you might be chosen!

Take care guys, and I'll see you all in a few weeks!
