The next day…
Everyone was in the hotel parlor, when they all heard a knock at the door.
"I'll get it" said Charlie.
She walked over to the door and opened it to see Nightfright and Scarlett.
"Hello there" said Nightfright.
Charlie's eyes grew wide.
"Uh…hi" she said.
"You must be Charlie. It's nice to finally meet you. Scarlett" said Scarlett.
"Yeah, it's an honor to finally meet you. I'm sure you know who I am so there's no point of an introduction" said Nightfright.
"Yeah, thanks! Before you step inside, let me just inform everyone else really quick" said Charlie.
She walked back inside.
"Who is it" Husk asked.
"Everyone! Nightfright and his wife are at the door" Charlie replied.
"What" Vaggie exclaimed.
She stood up and got her spear out while Alastor made his way to the door.
"Hello, my intriguing friend" said Alastor.
"Hey, Al. We've decided to drop by a visit" said Nightfright.
"You must be Scarlett. Pleasure to meet you" said Alastor.
They shook hands.
"It's a pleasure to meet you too" said Scarlett.
They walked inside and everyone else just stared in awkward silence.
"Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel" said Alastor.
"Thanks for having us. It's certainly quite the place. Very aesthetic and clean" said Nightfright.
"It's nice" said Scarlett.
"So…you're the Nightmare Demon" said Charlie.
"Yes, that would be me" said Nightfright.
"What brings you both here" Charlie asked them.
"Just dropping by for a visit. That's all" Scarlett replied.
"Well, since you two are here. Let me show you around" said Charlie.
First place she took them to is the bar.
"This is the bar and this is Husk, our bartender" she said.
Husk was cleaning glasses and didn't even bother looking up at them.
"Hey" said Husk.
"A hotel with a bar? You don't see that everyday" said Scarlett.
"This bar wasn't here until you know who brought it over here along with me" said Husk.
The next and last place she took them to was the parlor.
"And finally, this is parlor, where we do trust exercises and relax" she said.
"Nice! Very nice" said Nightfright.
"Excuse for a few minutes" said Vaggie.
She then grabbed Charlie and pulled her aside.
"What's wrong Vaggie" Charlie asked her.
"Something if off about these two, Charlie. I don't buy their happy loving couple act" she replied.
"Oh, come on, Vaggie. You worry too much" said Charlie.
"Charlie, you and me both know what Nightfright is really capable of! Not only that, but him and Scarlett have an army of Living Nightmares at their beck and call" said Vaggie.
"OK, yeah. Maybe they are bad, but…maybe Alastor is right. Maybe they're just vengeful souls that just want to enjoy the life together" said Charlie.
Vaggie sighed.
"Just…be careful around them, OK" she asked her.
"Don't worry. I will" Charlie replied.
She gave Vaggie a kiss on the cheek and Vaggie smiled as they walked back to the others. However, when they got back to the parlor, they saw a Living Nightmare, one that resembled a saber-toothed tiger, standing still while the others were getting a closer look at it.
"I must say, this is very impressive" said Sir Pentious.
"Thank you" said Nightfright.
"Agile, maneuverable and very deadly. A remarkably well-made killing machine" said Sir Pentious.
"What is going on here" Vaggie asked.
"While you both left to talk in private, we asked the others if they wanted to see a little demonstration" Nightfright replied.
"Don't worry, it's alright. It's under our complete control" said Scarlett.
Charlie stepped closer and leaned down to get a better look at the Living Nightmare in front of her.
"So, Nightfright, where exactly did you learn to control and use your abilities" she asked him.
"Oh, your dad helped out with that. After the two of us found out what kind of power I had and the history behind it, we knew that if anyone knew how to help us, it was the king himself" he replied.
"OK and how exactly did my dad help you" she asked him.
"He gave us a few things and directed us to where we can get more experience to start up our careers in Hell" he replied.
Charlie raised an eyebrow.
"What kind of things" she asked him.
"Oh, a book on Negative Magic, a nice set of battle armor, a scythe and, the big reveal, a grimoire" he replied.
Everyone was taken aback.
"What? You two have a grimoire" Vaggie asked them.
"Yeah, but only I use. He doesn't" Scarlett replied.
Charlie sighed.
"So, in other words, my dad gave you everything that Balthazar had" she asked him.
"Effectively, yes. That and he directed us to where we can learn hand-to-hand combat so we can properly defend ourselves" he replied.
"After all of that, the two of us were on our own" said Scarlett.
"When was the last time you heard from my dad" Charlie asked them.
"When he helped us out. He hasn't called either of us since then and we haven't called him either" Scarlett replied.
"If I have to make a guess, Balthazar was the previous guy who could use Negative Magic" Angel asked.
"Yes and after he was killed, most of his belongings were destroyed while some were stored away. In this case, the stuff that was stored away is ours now" Nightfright replied.
"That's fair, I guess" said Charlie.
Nightfright's right hand began to glow red as he used it to absorb the nightmare saber-toothed tiger.
"Well, it's been fun but I think it's time for the two of us to go" he said.
"Yeah, the two of us should get going" said Scarlett.
"So soon" Charlie asked them.
"Yeah, this was really supposed to be a short visit" Scarlett replied.
Everyone went outside to send Nightfright and Scarlett on their way.
"Where do you two live" Charlie asked them.
"In a penthouse apartment" Nightfright replied.
"I bet the rent is through the fuckin roof" said Angel.
"Oh, we don't pay rent. We just live there fulltime" said Scarlett.
"Wait, really? No landlord or anything" Vaggie asked them.
Quick flashback of Nightfright and Scarlett feeding the landlord to the Living Nightmares
"Nope! Just us" Nightfright replied.
"Before we go, here" said Scarlett.
She snapped her fingers, conjured up a small piece of paper and handed it to Charlie.
"Our numbers, in case you need to reach us" she said.
"Wow! Thanks" said Charlie.
"If you ever need something from us, just call. It's the least we can do to thank you for your hospitality" said Nightfright.
"Aw, thanks" said Charlie.
"It's not a problem" said Scarlett.
She snapped her fingers and a portal opened behind them to a very nice apartment. Everyone, except for Nightfright and Alastor, were gazing in awe.
"How did you-" Vaggie was cut off.
"Remember when I said only I use the grimoire we have? Yeah, I've read and learned a lot of spells from that book" said Scarlett.
"Anyways, see you around" said Nightfright.
The two of them backed up into the portal and it closed.
"Ah, what a lovely couple" said Alastor.
"Yeah, they're…not as bad as I thought" said Charlie.
"I will say though, their pets gimmie the creeps" said Angel.
Husk huffed.
"They're not that scary" he said.
"Yeah, they ain't that scary until they try to rip you apart" said Angel.
"I guess it's just me. I don't really find them that scary" said Husk.
They all turned around and walked back inside the Hotel.
Meanwhile…
The portal closed and Nightfright and Scarlett were back in their apartment.
"That went pretty well" said Scarlett.
"We've been in Hell for a year already and I think Charlie is probably the nicest and most sweet person I've ever met" said Nightfright.
"Yeah and everyone else in the Hotel was also nice and welcoming" said Scarlett.
"It's good to know that there are SOME good souls in Hell" said Nightfright.
"Yeah, it's not all scumbags and pieces of shit" said Scarlett.
They plopped down on the couch and sighed.
"Had a few jobs today, finished our special project and we even had time to go visit Lucifer's daughter at her hotel" said Scarlett.
"Yeah, quite the day" said Nightfright.
That was the moment Scarlett got a big mischievous grin on her face. She used her power to wrap her hair around her husband's neck and pull him over to her.
"Now, then. After a long day of activities like that, I'm in a mood, if you know what I mean" she said.
Nightfright blushed a little.
"Are you sure that's a good idea right now, my dear" he asked her.
In response, Scarlett kissed him and held on for a few seconds.
"Sure, don't you" she asked him.
That was when Nightfright also got a big mischievous grin on his face.
"Well, when you put it that way" he replied.
He then picked her up in his arms and walked over to the bedroom. Scarlett purred and meowed like a cat as Nightfright used his tentacles to close the door behind him.
