"We wouldn't, you know."

Taylor frowns. "Wouldn't what?"

"What you said to Raph." Mikey's not looking at her, or at the TV screen; instead, he's gazing down at his knees, looking every bit the kid he is. "We wouldn't do that."

I didn't want to think I was going to die because I wasn't April or because I found out you existed! I couldn't sleep properly for ages after that, 'cos I thought one of you might come in and kill us. I don't feel safe anymore!

Oh.

"I know," she says gently. She knows that now.

"We wouldn't do that to April either."

"I know. It's OK."
