The Sovereign Of The Sunrise Kingdom
Chapter 15: Lea Halalela
During the evening, Amani and Tojo are still enjoying their romantic moment together just as they continue traveling throughout the Hakuna Matata Jungle together, and then they confess their love for each other since their longtime friendship with each other has turned into romance and even Amani informed him that Timon, Pumbaa, Lulu, and Safi can become their best friends along with Nala, much to Tojo's delight.
Soon, while they are enjoying their romantic moment with each other and confess their romantic feelings for each other, Tojo began questioning Amani about what's really going on between her and Simba since they've been alive and well all along and didn't return back to the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun, and Amani attempts to tell Tojo everything, but she is unable to do so since she thought that if she really did tell him everything, then he would want nothing to do with her and Simba at all and neither would Nala would want nothing to do with them any longer. Amani became deeply afraid that Tojo would no longer trust her and Simba and Nala would no longer trust them if she explained it to them, and also if she attempted to tell him, then he and neither Nala would believe her at all.
"Amani, do you…do you believe in love at first sight?" asked Tojo.
"Yeah, I always have it could happen most of the time. Why do you ask?" asked Amani.
"'Cause when I first met you, I…I eventually fell in love." answered Tojo.
"Really?" You fell in love with me on the first day we met?" asked Amani.
Tojo nodded. "Even when we learned that we've been arranged to be married."
"You know, while we've been betrothed to be married together, we've always told ourselves we'd rather be just best friends," said Amani.
"But it turns out we wanna be something more and that's being romantically involved," said Tojo.
"Tojo…I'm very flattered that you've always been in love with me, and there's something I would wanna tell you too. I have always been in love with you too." said Amani.
"Are you sure about that?" asked Tojo.
Amani nodded. "I love you so much, Tojo." She warmly nuzzled Tojo and gave him a lick on his cheek.
"I love you too, Amani." said Tojo just as he warmly nuzzled Amani back and gave her a lick on her cheek. "Hey, and Amani, may I ask you something very important."
"Yeah, Tojo, you can tell me anything." said Amani.
"So…about you and your brother Simba, you two have been alive all along and you didn't come back to the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun at all." said Tojo. "Since you didn't come back, then what's really going on between you two?"
"What are you talking about? Simba and I already told you and Nala from earlier. Everything is going so wonderful." said Amani.
"Well, Nala and I don't think so, and that's 'cause of how Simba denied his status as the heir to the throne and you are still insisting that you two are still the heirs." said Tojo. "Really, Amani, what's going on?"
Amani suddenly became saddened and distressed. "Since you've asked me that question…It's just…It's just that I can't tell you."
"You can't tell me what it is?" asked Tojo in surprise and shock
"No, I'm afraid I just can't." said Amani.
"But why? We've known each other ever since we've been little cubs and we would tell each other everything." said Tojo. "Are you trying to keep a secret from me?"
"What?! No! No, I wouldn't hide anything from you at all!" exclaimed Amani.
"Then tell me what's going on!" exclaimed Tojo.
"No, I can't do that!" exclaimed Amani.
"I've been your best friend for so long and the one you fell in love with! You can tell me anything!" exclaimed Tojo.
"Yeah, but if I told you, you wouldn't believe me," said Tojo.
"Of course I would believe you," said Tojo.
"No, you wouldn't. And maybe you and Nala wouldn't trust me and Simba ever again, " said Amani.
"That's not true, and Nala and I have 100 percent faith in you and Simba, and I would believe what you gotta say to me," said Tojo. "C'mon, Amani, tell me."
Suddenly, Amani began shedding tears over her deep fear that if she really did Tojo and Nala what she and Simba has been really went through, even after the death of their father Mufasa, then they wouldn't believe what she would attempt to tell them that she and Simba being responsible for their father getting killed by the wildebeest stampede couldn't be true at all and would think it's actually all their fault and lose faith in them completely. So, Amani refuse to tell Tojo everything out of fear of breaking his heart and losing his trust in the process as well as wouldn't believe her at all when he attempts to tell her what's actually true and couldn't be the truth, and upon seeing Amani began shedding tears, Tojo became very confused and still insists that she should tell him everything, even by informing her about Scar's tyranny which she still refused to do so out of fear.
"Look, I'm so sorry, but I just can't tell you." said Amani.
"What's the matter?" asked Tojo.
"It's nothing," said Amani.
"You can tell me anything, and I promise I will still have faith in you and will believe you if you just tell me." said Tojo.
"I've told you many things in the past, but I can't right now, and you probably wouldn't believe me and still trust me if I did." said Amani.
"I will. And maybe this will convince you to tell me what's going on." said Tojo.
"Well, what is it?" asked Amani.
"Throughout the years in the Sunrise Kingdom when Scar took over as sovereign, things haven't been going so well just like it used to when your father Mufasa used to be the sovereign." said Tojo. "He allowed the hyenas to take over the kingdom and allowed them to overhunt the herds, and that caused the food and water supply to run out. Scar is nothing but a complete tyrant who isn't carrying out his responsibilities of being sovereign, and there's now a severe drought and famine which is causing many lives to be lost, including the lions of the Sunrise Pride. So, you and Simba must come back to the kingdom so Simba can become the sovereign."
"Tojo, is what you're saying to me true?" asked Amani.
"Yes, Amani, that must've helped you understand that you can tell me what's going on between you and Simba," said Tojo. "Please tell me, and whatever it is, I'll understand, I'll still trust you, and I'll still believe you, and I know that Nala would do the same. So please."
Amani attempts to tell Tojo about what she and her twin brother Simba has been through, but she's still unable to do so since she's deeply afraid that he and Nala would no longer trust her and Simba and wouldn't believe that she and Simba couldn't have been responsible for Mufasa's death. She then leaves Tojo just as she continued to shed tears which caused Tojo to become filled with surprise and shock, and he attempts to call out to her, but he suddenly became very depressed just as he continued to wish what was really going on between her and Simba and due to her unwillingness to explain everything to him, it caused their relationship to become very strained.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the Hakuna Matata Jungle, Simba and Nala continue to share their romantic moment with each other just as they cross a log together and they proceed to confess their love for each other after their longtime friendship has turned into passionate love even though they would rather be just best friends during their childhood while they've been betrothed to each other which is one of the traditions of the royal family of the Sunrise Kingdom, and Simba even informs Nala that Timon, Pumbaa, Lulu, and Safi can become her best friends as well, much to Nala's delight.
Also, during the romantic moment, Nala attempts to convince Simba that he and his twin sister Amani should return back to the Sunrise Kingdom in order to save it from Scar, his tyranny over the kingdom, and his army of hyenas who he has allowed to hunt whenever they want to which is one of the main reasons of the severe drought and famine that has hit over the kingdom. However, due to being very guilty of Mufasa's death in the gorge many years ago, Simba stubbornly refuses to return back to the Sunrise Kingdom along with his sister, and it caused Nala to become angry with him for his unwillingness to accept responsibility as the sovereign of the Sunrise Kingdom just as she wondered what was really going on with him and Amani.
"Simba, there is something I wanna tell you," said Nala.
"Yeah, what is it, Nala?" asked Simba.
"Ever since we used to be young, I…I…I have always had feelings for you," said Simba.
"Wait a minute. You did?" asked Simba.
"Yes, and even though we were totally against the idea of being betrothed and would rather be just best friends, it turns out that I began having feelings for you, Simba." said Nala.
"I honestly feel the same way about you, Nala, and…and I love you." said Simba.
"I love you too, Simba." said Nala.
"So, isn't this jungle a great place or what?" asked Simba.
"It's absolutely beautiful, but there is something Tojo and I don't understand," said Nala. "You and your sister Amani have been alive all this time, and you didn't return back to the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sun. Why did you two come back at all?"
"Well, Amani and I needed to get out on our own so we'll be able to relax from stressing out so much." said Simba just as he rests himself on some nearby hanging vines and lounges on them. "We were able to live our own lives, and it was working out so much and it's so great!"
"Tojo, our other best friends Chumvi, Kula, Malka, and Tama, and everybody in the Sunrise Pride really needed you back at home." said Nala.
"Nobody needs any of us," said Simba.
"Actually, Simba, yes we do! You're the sovereign of the Sunrise Kingdom and Amani is still a princess who will help you run the kingdom when you ascend the throne!" said Nala.
"Nala, we've been through this before! I'm not the sovereign and Amani is not a princess, Scar is the sovereign!" said Simba. "Also, I guess that Scar is doing so well as sovereign of the Sunrise Kingdom throughout these years!"
"Simba, Scar hasn't been doing such a great job as sovereign at all, and he's nothing but a complete tyrant." said Nala.
"Huh?" asked Simba in surprise and shock.
"Scar let the hyenas from the Shadow Domain take over the Sunrise Kingdom, and he allowed the hyenas to hunt whenever they wanted to, which caused the food supply to become skimpy." said Nala.
"What?!" asked Simba in shock.
"Everything in the kingdom has been destroyed! There's no food and there's no water, and a severe drought and famine has hit the kingdom!" said Nala. "Scar isn't doing any of his responsibilities as king and he actually has poor leadership skills, and because of that, it's putting everybody's own lives at stake. Simba, if you and Amani don't do something soon, then everybody will suffer from starvation and thirst!"
"Amani and I can't go back!" exclaimed Simba just as he got off of the vines.
"Why?!" asked Nala in anger.
"You and Tojo wouldn't understand!" exclaimed Simba just as he walked away.
"What wouldn't I understand?! And what wouldn't Tojo understand?!" asked Nala.
"Look, it doesn't really matter, and here's this. Hakuna Matata." said Simba.
"What?!" asked Nala in surprise.
"Hakuna Matata. It's something my sister and I learned out here, and when sometimes bad things happen…" said Simba.
"Simba!" exclaimed Nala.
"And there's nothing you can do about it! So why worry!" exclaimed Simba.
"'Cause it's your responsibility to be sovereign, and it's Amani's own responsibility to be a princess too!" exclaimed Nala.
"I already told you and Tojo this, Nala, I'm not worthy of ascending the throne and Amani isn't worthy of the throne either." said Simba. "I guess that's just the way it's gonna be?"
"You can't be serious about what you just said!" exclaimed Nala in anger.
"I am serious, and that is something you and Tojo are gonna have to get used to as well." said Simba.
"No, it's not, and you should at least accept your responsibility as the king and Amani should accept her own responsibility as a princess." said Nala.
"Sorry, but we can't." said Simba.
"And why is it?" asked Nala.
"I…I…I have no idea," said Simba.
"You know what you are right now?! Unbelievable!" exclaimed Nala in anger.
"Unbelievable?!" asked Simba in anger.
"Yes, and that's 'cause of how you're not taking things so seriously, especially of what you needed to do!" said Nala.
"Well, I don't need to!" exclaimed Simba.
"Yes, you do, Simba!" exclaimed Nala.
"Well, what about you and Tojo? You two left the Sunrise Kingdom!" said Simba.
"Tojo and I left the Sunrise Kingdom to find some help to do something about Scar's tyranny, and we've managed to find you and Amani who are the true heirs to the throne." said Nala. "Don't you two understand?! You're our last and only hope of ever saving the kingdom from Scar and the hyenas!"
Simba became very angry with Nala for attempting him to get him and Amani to return back to the Sunrise Kingdom in order to have him become the sovereign of the Sunrise Kingdom and have Amani to continue being a princess, and he still stubbornly refuses to go back to the Sunrise Kingdom and save it from Scar and his tyranny since he still felt very responsible for causing his father Mufasa's death in the gorge many years ago while Nala became very angry with Simba for his unwillingness to accept responsibility for becoming the sovereign and became even more confused about how he and Amani been through throughout the years.
"Sorry, but there's nothing Amani and I can do about that." said Simba.
"What?!" asked Nala in shock.
"Ask somebody else to do it." said Simba.
"You have got to be kidding me!" asked Nala.
"Well, I'm not, and go find somebody else!" said Simba.
"No, we won't do it! And honestly, what's happened to you?! You're not the Simba I remember, and Amani seems to still be herself after all these years!" said Nala.
"You're absolutely right about what you just said. I'm not the person that I was any longer." said Simba. "Now are you satisfied?"
"No! I'm just disappointed! Very disappointed!" said Nala.
"You know what, you're starting to sound like my father Mufasa, and he exactly told me the same thing when I disobeyed his orders." said Simba just as he began leaving Nala behind. "He would sometimes tell me that when I did something wrong."
"Good! I'm glad at least one of us does sound like your father and the one who is so willing to accept responsibility unlike you!" exclaimed Nala. "Oh, and speaking of responsibility, you're acting like nothing but a complete spoiled cub!"
Simba's expression turns into pure rage and turns back to Nala. "Listen! You and Tojo can honestly think that you two can show up and tell me how to live my own life by attempting to take responsibility and stop acting like a little cub?! And tell Amani how to live her own life too?! You two honestly have no idea what we've been through!" He then turns away from Nala and storms off.
"I would understand if you would tell me!" Nala called out in concern.
"OH, JUST FORGET IT!" exclaimed Simba angrily.
"WELL, FINE THEN! DON'T TELL ME AT ALL!" exclaimed Nala just as she angrily turned away.
Simba and Nala's romantic moment with each other has turned into a heated argument, and Simba's own stubbornness and refusal to go back to the Sunrise Kingdom to become the sovereign mostly due to being very responsible for Mufasa's death which he didn't told Nala at all and Nala being so outraged at Simba's refusal and stubbornness caused their longtime relationship with each other to become very strained, and Nala couldn't believe by how Simba has been acting very lately and Simba still refused to go back to the Sunrise Kingdom to become sovereign and save it from Scar and his hyena henchmen due to his own guilt of causing Mufasa's death.
Later on, it is now nighttime, and Simba has arrived at an empty field within the Hakuna Matata Jungle after having the heated argument with Nala which caused his relationship with her to become very strained and he is pacing back and forth all by himself just as she still refused to return back to the Sunrise Kingdom and save it from Scar's tyranny. Also, since it's now nighttime, Simba began wondering if Mufasa was actually watching him and his twin sister Amani from the shining stars in the night sky along with the Great Sovereigns Of The Past who are their ancestors and the past rulers of the Sunrise Kingdom, and he then believes that Mufasa isn't actually watching over them due to being responsible for his death many years ago which he is still very guilty of.
"Nala's wrong! I can't go back at all! Amani can't go back either! Even after what just happened all those years ago!" said Simba. "What would it prove anyway if my sister and I went back to the Sunrise Kingdom?! It won't change anything if we did! You can't change the past 'cause it's unchangeable!" He looks up at the night sky just as he begins shedding tears. "Father, you told me and Amani that you would always be there for both us and guide us whenever we needed it! But you're not!" He then hangs his head in shame and begins crying. "And it's because of me and Amani. It's all our fault. It's all our fault. It's all our fault."
Simba has fallen in a state of complete despair over being so guilty for Mufasa's death even though it can't be true and his own belief that he isn't watching over them from the shining stars along with the rest of past king and queen regnants of the Sunrise Kingdom just as he began crying under the stars all by himself, and he still refused to go back to the Sunrise Kingdom due to his own belief of being responsible for Mufasa's death.
Suddenly, just as he continued to cry and be in a state of complete despair, he overheard some very loud crying from nearby and noticed Amani crying under a nearby tree, much to his surprise. He tearfully approached the crying Amani to see what's wrong with her, and Amani quickly got his attention and informs him that he was unable to tell Tojo how exactly what she and Simba has been through throughout the years together since she deeply fears that if she told him then he and Nala wouldn't want to do anything with her and Simba ever again which is something what Simba also feared so much. Also, Amani began insisting to Simba that they should go back to the Sunrise Kingdom since it's now at stake due to Scar's tyranny, but Simba still refused to do so which caused their relationship to become even more strained than ever.
"Amani, are you alright?" asked Simba.
"No, Simba. No, I'm not alright. Not at all." said Amani.
"What happened?" asked Simba.
"Well, I would like to tell Tojo of what we've been through together during the years, but I couldn't tell him," said Amani.
"Let me guess. It's how we would say and react towards it." said Simba.
Amani nodded. "If I told him, then he and Nala would probably not want to do anything with us anymore."
"I had the same thoughts about Nala if I told her about what we've been through, and I have that fear as much as you do, Sis." said Simba.
"Also, it's not just that, it's that Tojo and Nala wouldn't believe that we couldn't be responsible for our father's death and think it was actually all our fault." said Amani.
"But it is our fault, Amani, and if we told them, then they would want nothing to do with us at all, including our other best friends from childhood," said Simba.
"But it can't be our fault, and we would never do anything like that," said Amani.
"You think so, but I don't." said Simba.
"I know, but Simba, even though we can't change the past, we gotta face it no matter what, even after I met the spirit of our ancestors." said Amani.
"Honestly, there's nothing I can do about it." said Simba.
"There has to be, and..and most of all…I wish you would just understand," said Amani.
"Oh, I already understand very well, Sis." said Simba.
"Yeah, right. And I'm just saying that you would understand that we need to go back and face the past." said Amani.
"We can't, and that's 'cause we're both responsible for our father's death and if we did go back, then how could it prove anything? Nothing, of course. Absolutely nothing."
Amani sighed in disappointment. "Oh, Simba…"
Simba and Amani both sadly stare at each other just as their close sibling relationship became even more strained due to Simba feeling responsible for Mufasa's death and Amani refusing to believe that his death was entirely their fault as well as Simba refusing to go back to the Sunrise Kingdom so he could ascend the throne and Amani insisting that they should return back to the kingdom in order to save it from Scar and the hyenas after she met one of the spirits of their ancestors Queen Nyota in her dreams the other night, and Simba still refuses to go back to the kingdom at all and Amani still insists that they should do so.
Suddenly, while the twin lion siblings are in complete sadness, their expressions soon become very surprised upon hearing a peculiar voice doing some kind of traditional Swahili chant within some of the trees nearby, and the one who is doing the Swahili chant is actually the mandrill shaman of the Sunrise Kingdom Rafiki. The twins notice Rafiki doing the chant on the trees, but they don't remember him at all mostly due to living in the Hakuna Matata Jungle for most of their whole life together, and Simba became greatly annoyed by the chant while Amani became filled with surprise by it.
The twins then leave the scene while Rafiki watches them leave in complete joy, and he proceeds to set his plan of attempting to convince the twins to return back to the Sunrise Kingdom in order to save it from Scar and his army of hyenas and already knows that one of the Great Sovereigns Of The Past Queen Nyota has contacted Amani in her dreams to do so. Simba and Amani then arrive at a log where they sit there together and stare at their own reflections within the water of a pool of water just as they felt very depressed by how their relationship has become very strained due to Simba's guilt and Amani's disbelief.
Suddenly, a rock splashes into the water which causes Simba to become irritated even more and Amani to become even more surprised, and they both notice Rafiki hanging from a vine on a nearby tree just as he continues doing the traditional Swahili cant. The twins doesn't even recognize Rafiki at all, and then Simba leaves Rafiki in annoyance and Amani stared at Rafiki in complete surprise just as she wondered who he was before she went along with Simba, and Rafiki began following the twins just as he is proceeding with his plans to convincing them to return to the Sunrise Kingdom to save it from Scar and his terrible reign over the kingdom and that Simba can ascend the throne as the sovereign and Amani could continue being a princess.
"Asante sana, squash banana, we we nugu, imi mi apana." Rafiki chanted just as he chuckled.
"Ugh! C'mon, will you please cut that out?!" asked Simba.
"Uh…hello, kind sir, and see ya later, whoever you are." said Amani.
"Can't cut it out. It will grow right back!" exclaimed Rafiki just as he laughed.
"What does that supposed to mean anyway? What will grow back?" asked Amani.
"Your own fur, of course." said Rafiki just as he continued to laugh.
Amani sarcastically. "Very funny, Mr. Mandrill."
"Amani, that's a creepy little monkey." said Simba.
"Yeah, I can see that already," said Amani.
"Will you please stop following me and my sister?! Who are you anyway?!" asked Simba.
"That's what we both like to know. Who are you, sir?" asked Amani.
"The question is, who are you, and I'm talking about the lion with the flowing mane." said Rafiki.
Simba made a surprised expression. "I thought I knew, but now I'm not so sure of who I really am."
"Look, Mandrill, it's just that my brother thinks that he doesn't know who he is any longer, that's all, and because of that, I don't know who he is anymore either." said Amani.
"Well, I know exactly who your brother is. Come here, and it's all a secret of who you are." said Rafiki just as he pulled Simba's ear closer to him. "Asante sana squash banana we we nugu imi mi apana!"
"Will you quit it?! Just quit it!" exclaimed Simba in annoyance.
"We mean, what does that supposed to mean anyway?" asked Amani.
"It means that you're a baboon, and I'm not. It's just a traditional chant of some Swahili kingdoms in Africa, even for monkeys just like myself." said Rafiki just as he laughed with joy.
"Um…I think you're very confused about what you just explained to us, kind sir." said Simba.
"You're absolutely wrong about what you just said," said Rafiki. "I'm not the one who's confused, and you don't even know who you are."
"Oh, and I supposed that you know," said Simba.
"Sure I do. You're Mufasa's little boy and your sister is Mufasa's little girl. You two are his son and daughter which makes you his little prince and his little princess." said Rafiki.
Amani gasped in surprise. "Wait a minute? What…What did you just say about us?!"
"Bye." said Rafiki just as he then ran off.
"Hey! Wait! Hold on a sec!" Simba called out.
Both Simba and Amani then chases after Rafiki in order to get more answers from him about knowing all about their late father King Mufasa after he mentioned them being the son and daughter of King Mufasa which makes them a prince and princess of the Sunrise Kingdom and his heirs to the throne of the Royal Kopje Of The Shining Sunrise Kingdom, and while they did so, they began remembering Rafiki being the shaman of the Sunrise Kingdom who has served their father during his reign and all of the stories he used to tell them about the Great Sovereigns Of The Past when they used to be young cubs. Soon, the twins manage to catch up to Rafiki at the edge of the Hakuna Matata Jungle where he is sitting on a rock in a meditative state.
"You know our father King Mufasa?" asked Simba.
"That is absolutely correct. I knew your father, and I have always known your father. Even before you two were born." said Rafiki. "Your own father and I have always been best friends with each other when he used to be a prince and was a young cub during his mother Queen Uru's reign and his grandfather King Mohatu's reign."
"Hey, since you said you knew our father Mufasa before we were born, I think I remember you now," said Amani. "You're Rafiki, and you serve as the current shaman of the Sunrise Kingdom and you served our father even when we used to be little cubs."
"That's right, I am Rafiki, and I remember your names are Simba and Amani." said Rafiki.
"True, and it has been so long that we've seen you, Rafiki, and it's so nice to see you again." said Simba.
"It's nice to see you two again, prince and princess." said Rafiki.
"Well, about our father Mufasa…he died a long time ago," said Simba mournfully.
"It's true. We hate to tell you this, but we were killed in a wildebeest stampede." said Amani mournfully.
"Nope! You two are wrong!" said Rafiki just as he leaves again right towards the edge of the jungle.
"Huh?" asked Simba and Amani in confusion.
"Your father is still alive and well! And I'll show him both to you!" said Rafiki. "Follow me and I know the way! Come on!"
Simba and Amani stare at each other in confusion for a moment, and they both began following Rafik throughout the jungle so they will be able to see their father King Mufasa again after he claimed that he was still alive and well. They went through the dark jungle after Rafiki just as they both hope that they will see their father after all these years, and while they did so, they both attempted to keep up with Rafiki who continued doing the Swahili chant and laughed in joy to himself just as he went really fast and swung on some trees and vines during the travel in the dark jungle and the twins both insists that he would slow down. Soon, Rafiki stops right in front of a pool of water and tells the two twin sibling lions to halt.
"Stop right there!" said Rafiki. He stared at the pool of water and showed it to the two twins. "Shhh! Your father is right there in that water. Just look at it."
Simba started his own reflection in the water just as he became very depressed. "What? That's…That's not our father."
Amani sighed dejectedly just as she stared at her own reflection in the water. "It's just our own reflections in the water. How can that be our father?"
"No, look harder into the water. Just do it. C'mon, I know you can do it." said Rafiki. Simba and Amani both look back at their reflections which began to warp, and Mufasa's face replaces the twins' faces in the water, much to the surprise of the twins. "You see, your father King Mufasa lives in both of you, and even though he has died many years ago, he has always lived in you and always will be."
Simba and Amani both became filled with surprise upon seeing both their reflections in the pool of water has became one and turned into the reflection of their late father Mufasa, and according to Rafiki, even though Mufasa has passed away, he will always live in both their hearts no matter what. Soon, Simba and Amani are greeted by the spirit of their father who appeared in the night sky and gives Simba the encouragement to return to the Sunrise Kingdom to take his rightful place as the sovereign of the Sunrise Kingdom and take his place in the Circle Of Life with the help of his twin sister Amani.
"Simba. Amani. My dear son and my sweet daughter." said Mufasa from the night sky.
"Father?" asked Simba and Amani.
"Simba, you have forgotten me while Amani still remembers me." said Simba.
"No, I didn't! How could I have forgotten all about you?! I've always remembered you!" said Simba.
"Actually, you did remember our father, Simba, but not that much." said Amani.
"What do you mean by that, Amani?" asked Simba.
"What I'm saying is that while you remembered him, you haven't been that much after you've let go of the past while I did as well." said Amani. "So, you really forgot all about Mufasa and I didn't."
"You're absolutely right, and I have to admit it. I did forget all about our father while I did remember some about him, and you've been remembering him all these years." said Simba.
"Yes…and it's the truth," said Amani.
"Simba, throughout the years, Amani has remembered, but you haven't so much and that means you have forgotten me while you have forgotten who you are." said Mufasa. "You are so much better than the person who you have become. You must take your place in the Circle Of Life and your sister must do the same."
"But how can we all go back? I'm not who I used to be any longer. Even after so long. I must let go of the past no matter what and you can't change it." said Simba.
"What you said about the past is absolutely correct, and even though you can't change the past, you must face it no matter what while it can be very hurtful." said Mufasa.
"That's true, and that is what I said about the past, Simba." said Amani.
"Simba, you must remember who you are. You are my son and the one true sovereign, and your sister is my daughter and the other true heir to the throne since she's a princess." said Mufasa. "Remember who you are. Remember. Remember. Remember. Remember."
Simba and Amani were both very amazed upon witnessing the spirit of their late father King Mufasa within the night sky and that Mufasa has been watching over them from the shining stars along with their ancestors the Great Sovereigns Of The Past, and Mufasa's spirit continue to encourage Simba to remember who he really is and return to the Sunrise Kingdom in order to take his place in the great Circle Of Life and become the true sovereign of the Sunrise Kingdom while both Simba and Amani pleaded him not to leave them, and Simba and Amani realized that it's no use for him to stay with them a little longer and wave bye to their father's spirit.
After Mufasa's spirit returned to the afterlife, Amani is then greeted by the spirit of Queen Nyota who is the very first queen regnant of the Sunrise Kingdom and has entered in her dreams from before, and she informs Amani that she must help Simba reclaim his position as the rightful sovereign of the Sunrise Kingdom and take his place in the Circle Of Life while she also informs her that she must take her own place in the Circle Of Life and continue being a princess who will help Simba with running the kingdom which Amani still agrees on doing so.
"Amani, you must help Simba remember who he really is," said Nyota.
"That's what I'm doing right now, Queen Nyota, and I'll make sure of it." said Amani.
"You also need to make sure that he must become the sovereign since he's the true heir to the throne and take his place in the great Circle Of Life." said Nyota. "You also must do the same thing since you're
"Yes, and that's really gonna happen. Also, Simba and I both know that even though the past can be hurtful, we must face it no matter what and it's no use hiding from it." said Amani.
"It's very true. You and Simba already managed to let go of the past and now you must face the past together and you can no longer run from it." said Nyota.
"We will and also, Nyota, I am still very grateful of what you informed me in my dreams, I really am, and if it wasn't for you, then we wouldn't know what we needed to do." said Amani.
"I'm very glad to hear that. Now you and Simba must return to the Sunrise Kingdom and do what you need to do, and I'm very proud of you for making the right decision." said Nyota. "My father Jua and my mother Mwezi are proud of you, your great-grandfather Mohatu is very proud of you, your grandmother Uru is very proud of you, and even your father Mufasa is very proud of you. We all are."
"We already know that, and we're very proud of our decision too." said Amani. "And Simba really needs to understand that we must go back and face the past, and we really need to remember who he really is."
"That's right, and so long, Amani." said
"Bye, Nyota, and thank you very much." said Amani.
Queen Nyota's spirit then returned back to the afterlife, and then Simba and Amani sat with each other in the open field just as some breeze went past through them just as they were both filled with surprise upon what they both experienced with the spirit of their father and the spirit of one of their ancestors which is Queen Nyota, the daughter of the very first sovereign of the Sunrise Kingdom, and after they met their spirits from the night sky, Simba finally understands that he can no longer run from the past and must face it no matter what in order to take his rightful place as the sovereign of the Sunrise Kingdom and take his place in the Circle Of Life while Amani is very delighted that Simba finally understands it now and vowed to help him take his place as the rightful sovereign while she must take her place as a princess since she's the other true heir to the throne. Rafiki then went up to the twins and assured them of what they must do for themselves which they agreed to do.
"What were those in the sky anyway?" asked Rafiki.
"That was the spirit of our own father King Mufasa." said Simba.
"And that was the spirit of one of our ancestors Queen Nyota." said Amani.
"I already saw that, and about the weather, it's very strange." said Rafiki.
"Yeah. It looks like the winds are changing, especially from what we just saw together." said Simba.
"Honestly, changes are good sometimes, even during a time like this one." said Rafiki.
"True, but it isn't gonna be easy, and Simba and I know what to do now," said Amani.
"We have to go back to the Sunrise Kingdom…and going back means that we both have to face the past. We've been running away from it for so long and it proves to be no use." said Simba. Rafiki then smacks Simba really hard with his staff in the head. "Ow! Hey! Jeez! What was that for?"
"It doesn't matter! It's all in the past and there's absolutely no use staying stuck in the past either." said Rafiki just as he laughed.
"Yeah, but the past still hurts," said Simba.
"It's very true that the past can hurt, but we must learn from it no matter what." said Amani.
"That's right, and it's time for you two to face the past and learn from it rather than run from it." said Rafiki. He attempts to smack Simba in the head with his staff but he quickly dodges it. "You see? So now what are you and your sister gonna do?"
"First, I'm gonna take your stick." said Simba. He then takes Rafiki's staff with his teeth and tosses it and Rafiki went after his staff.
"Oh, no! No, no, no, no, no! Not the stick!" said Rafiki. He quickly gets his staff back and then sees Simba and Amani leaving together. "Hey! Where are you two going?!"
"We're going back, Rafiki! We're going back to the Sunrise Kingdom and doing what we need to do!" Amani called out.
"That's wonderful! You two do that and make sure that you'll be able to do so!" Rafiki called out.
Simba and Amani then leaves the Hakuna Matata Jungle together and began heading back to the Sunrise Kingdom in order for Simba to become the rightful sovereign and save it from Scar and his tyranny as well as take his place in the Circle Of Life while Amani would continue being a princess who will help Simba with running the Sunrise Kingdom and help him reclaim the throne as the rightful sovereign and save it from Scar and his army of hyenas, and they both must face the past after they have managed to let go of the past in the process while Rafiki watch them head back to the Sunrise Kingdom in the distance just as he cheered for them for their right decision and even witness some shooting stars went throughout the night sky.
The next morning in the Hakuna Matata Jungle, Nala and Tojo has reunited with each other and they both have a conversation about how their relationship with both Simba and Amani has became very strained lately due to how Simba refused to return back to the Sunrise Kingdom to become king and how
"Good morning, Nala." said Tojo.
"Good morning, Tojo." said Nala.
"You know, Amani was acting very strange lately, and I asked her what was going on between her and Simba, but she wouldn't answer at all." said Tojo.
"I did the same thing to Simba too, but he wouldn't answer my question either. Something is really going on between them, and we're gonna find out." said Nala.
"That's right. Oh, and by the way, we still hope that Simba will come to his senses and go back to the Sunrise Kingdom to become sovereign along with Amani." said Tojo.
"Simba and Amani are the true heirs to the throne of the Royal Kopje and those two are our last hope in saving the kingdom from Scar and his hyenas," said Nala.
"Let's be able to convince them to come back somehow," said Tojo.
"Yes, and we must convince them or else the kingdom will continue to be at stake," said Nala.
Nala and Tojo continue to search for the twins Simba and Amani to convince them that they must return to the Sunrise Kingdom in order for Simba to become king while Amani continues being a princess and save it from Scar and his terrible reign over the kingdom as well as save the Sunrise Pride from the drought and famine which happened due to Scar's poor leadership as the sovereign and allowing his hyena henchmen to hunt whenever they want to, but they're unable to find them anywhere in the jungle at all, much to their surprise just as they wonder where they could be whole they are unaware that they've went back to the Sunrise Kingdom to do the right thing.
Soon, Nala and Tojo notice Timon, Pumbaa, Lulu, and Safi sleeping together right under a tree, and they both decide to wake them up from their sleep in order to ask them where Simba and Amani are at. They approached them and Nala gently poked Timon and Tojo gently rubbed Safi on her head, and Timon, Pumbaa, Lulu, and Safi slowly woke up from their sleep and noticed Nala and Tojo staring at them and began screaming complete surprise until both of the lions calmed them down.
"Hey, guys, calm down!" exclaimed Tojo.
"It's just us!" exclaimed Nala.
"Don't ever go that again!" exclaimed Timon.
"Carnivores!" said Safi.
"Have you guys seen Simba?" asked Nala.
"And either of you have seen Amani?" asked Tojo.
"No, we haven't." said Pumbaa.
"We thought they were with you two since last night," said Lulu.
"They were, but now we can't find them anywhere," said Tojo.
"Where are those two?" asked Nala.
Rafiki suddenly appeared on a nearby tree just as he laughed in delight. "You won't find Simba and Amani around here. The king and his sister, the princess, have returned."
Nala suddenly smiled. "Really? We…We can't believe it! Those two have gone back!"
"Huh? Gone back?" asked Timon. The group then noticed Rafiki had mysteriously vanished from the tree. "Hey! What's going on around here?! Who was that mandrill!"
"That was Rafiki, the shaman of the Sunrise Kingdom, and Simba has gone back to challenge Scar with Amani's help," said Tojo.
"Who?" asked Safi.
"Scar." said Nala.
"Who's got a Scar?" asked Pumbaa.
"No, no, no, it's their uncle," said Tojo.
"The monkey is their uncle?" asked Timon.
"No, we're talking about Simba and Amani and their own uncle," said Nala.
"You mean that they both have scars and are related to the mandrill?" asked Lulu.
"No! Simba has gone back to the Sunrise Kingdom to challenge his uncle to take his place as king!" said Tojo.
"And Amani went along with him to help him with challenging Scar to become the sovereign. That's what we're trying to say, guys." said Tojo.
Timon, Pumbaa, Lulu, and Safi stare each other for a moment and then stare at both Nala and Tojo for a moment, and they finally understand what they're trying to say to them which is Simba has returned to the Sunrise Kingdom to challenge Scar so he could become the rightful sovereign of the Sunrise Kingdom with Amani's help while Amani will continue being a princess who will help him with running the kingdom after he ascends the throne.
Soon, Nala and Tojo says goodbye to them and then leaves the Hakuna Matata Jungle to help out Simba and Amani with helping them save the Sunrise Kingdom with Scar's tyranny and they are very delighted of finally deciding to do the right thing for themselves and everybody else, including the Sunrise Pride who are now in danger of the mercy of Scar and his terrible reign over the kingdom.
Timon, Pumbaa, Lulu, and Safi watches Nala and Tojo leave the jungle to help out Simba and Amani with saving the kingdom from Scar, and then they all thought it over for a moment and decide that they should help out the twins with saving the kingdom from Scar as well since they have always enjoyed their friendship with them very much. Then, they stare at the Hakuna Matata Jungle in amazement for a moment, and then they leave the jungle to help out Simba and Amani of what they needed to do while they all say goodbye to each of the other inhabitants of the jungle and promises them that they will come back to the jungle someday since they promises that they will always be with Simba and Amani no matter what, even on the first day that they've met them and work together to raise them.
