A/N : Hi my first Chenford story ... hope you guys enjoy.

this one is a short Two shot.

Tim Bradford, the so-called hunky piece of man meat as her friend Angela liked to call him, was the one person who had been born with this amazing talent to get on her every last nerve. Even though they had grown up practically in each other's houses and their parents had been best friends and his younger sister Gen was the third sexiteer, gosh she knew it was an awful name, derived from the three musketeer, but Gen insisted on calling them that, for Lucy Chen Tim was her enemy number one.

His obnoxious bossy attitude and his penchant to always be right, because hello his mercury was in the freaking first house, grated on her like sandpaper. Not to mention the way he would always be there for one of her failures so he could curl up his perfect correction stupid lips and roll his stormy deep brown eyes, no no they were not stormy just judgy plain brown eyes at her, would send her into a fit of annoyance.

And now the enemy was going away. Moving to a L.A to pursue a career, leaving her with a losing score on their scrabble matches. And that is the only reason she was feeling sad and pissed. What kind of a loser would leave their matches like this and move away to follow his dreams, pfft, she huffed as she shut her car door, when it stubbornly stayed slightly ajar.

She pushed the door twice and then bumped her hip against it to shut it forcefully. This damn car was just a piece of junk , Lucy thought but was too proud to admit it to anyone because she had bought it from her hard earned money and although she admitted inwardly that Smitty their local car dealer had practically fleeced her out of good money, she would never tell it to her friends especially Tim, soon to be Officer Tim.

"This car is a piece of junk, Chen." He mirrored her inner thoughts about her choice of vehicle as he walked towards her seeing her struggling with her car. And that irked her even more, great he could read minds too.

Lucy Chen was wearing a cherry red top with a black long skirt with her loose brown curls falling over her shoulders and he couldn't help but think she looked pretty.

She was his sister's friend so she was practically like a younger sister to him, Tim reminded himself for the umpteenth time. The scowl on her face when she saw him clutched at his heart. It gutted him when she pulled away from him and lately she had been doing that more often since she had heard he was moving away.

Tim didn't know when he had begun to see her in a different not so sister adjacent light and when what she thought of him had begun to matter but he knew he couldn't act upon his lesser urges. Perhaps it was the time she had stayed at the hospital with him when he had fractured his foot in a soccer match or maybe the time she had always been there for him the year his mother had passed away. Always making sure he ate or didn't miss his soccer practice. It had been a tough year for both him and Gen but Lucy had essentially taken over the role of a guardian angel.

And now she looked like one, a fallen pissed off angel with a frown over her beautiful face, man he really needed to focus on anything else except her. Him finding her as divine as an angel was not a good sign especially one because he wasn't the poetic type it was too corny for him and two SHE WAS PRACTICALLY LIKE A SISTER, he yelled in his mind.

"Hey. This is not a piece of junk. Okay maybe it's a little broken." She sighed and as if on cue the door to her side slid open with a creaking noise.

"A little?" He inquired, hiding his smile.

She hated his guts when he smiled at her like that, it gave her hate goosebumps in her tummy and did irritating things to her heartbeat maybe he triggered some sort of a inborn arrhythmia, maybe there was this medical condition when one got palpitations when one looked at mildly handsome men.

"Fine a lot. But no one gets to disrespect my joy ride. It has been there for me in the worst of times. It is practically…."

"The forth sexiteer, gosh I hate that name."

"Gosh I despise that name." Both said in unison and inadvertently began laughing. "Please don't tell Gen. She'll have my head for it."

"I can see why you agreed with Gen's not so brilliant idea of a name but I can't picture myself Angela agreeing to it." He walked closer. He took two more steps he could kiss her he thought then mentally slapped himself.

"Gen promised to act as her and Wesley's beard, because Ang's brothers threatened to torch the guys balls who dared to touch their sister but….wait are you saying I am a pushover? You know what I am not a pushover and even if I was. You know what you are? You're a quitter, Bradford." She crossed her arms.

He was about to interrupt her when she misinterpreted him about being a pushover but when she called him a quitter he instantly replied, "I am not a quitter, Chen."

"You are. Otherwise why would you choose to move away now? I mean you know I'm this close to kick your ass at scrabble." She gestured with two fingers," Admit it you're scared I'll take Town's top spot and beat you."

"This is ridiculous." He threw up his hands. He knew he was a sore loser and he was worried that Chen would take his Top Spot in the town's official Scrabble events but dammit he was not a quitter. And he was moving away because he couldn't bear to be around her and not act on his feelings anymore, however he couldn't exactly tell her that.

"No it's not you passed that cop exam like a year ago and you're moving now?" She couldn't wrap her head why he had so suddenly decided to move away.

Tim could not reveal the real reason. The feelings he had for her had gradually morphed into this giant ball of emotions that wrecked him each time she was near but he couldn't confess so he said something stupid.

"Well if I am quitter you're a worrier."

TTTTTTTT

"So who do you think will crack first under the whole sexual pressure?" Angela asked Gen as they watched Lucy and Tim argue, standing across the street from Gen's house.

"I think Lucy. Tim is going through "Big Brother Syndrome." And he is too righteous to act on his desires." She glanced at Angela.

"What's that?"

"Where you think the girl you're attracted to is like your little sister because she is your little sister's friend and you watched her grow up even though she is just a year younger than you." Gen said wistfully.

"Are we talking about Lucy and Tim? Or you and Damian?" Angela gave Gen her characteristic superior smirk.

Gen bristled. She hadn't known that Ang knew that she liked Damian and she was pretty sure he liked her too but he was currently having a battle with his conscience called Big Brother Syndrome. "There is nothing between me and Damian."

"Sure and I am a unicorn from Rainbowville that farts glitter."

Gen tilted her head at her and Angela mimicked her. "I think we should go get them before they kill each other or…."

"Or start making out in the street." Angela added. "Either way it'll end that weird sexual tension between them that I get a passive high from." They began walking towards Lucy and Tim.

"Wesley must be getting lucky." Gen quipped and Angela elbowed her.

TTTTTTTT

"Really a worrier? Have you quitted on vocabulary too?" Lucy quipped and saw his mouth open and then close in satisfaction seeing as he was at a loss for words.

"All this because I called your car, a junk? That's not very noble, Lucy Chen." Tim moved past her and lifted her door and then shut it. This time it didn't come loose, of course it didn't because it was Tim's magical hands which had closed the door. Oops, focusing on his hands was not a good idea, Lucy thought as she looked at them and for a second imagined how it would feel to have those strong hands run over her body.

"No, because you called me a pushover." She quickly averted her gaze. He was too close now. His scent was teasing her malfunctioning senses, which had suddenly decided to have a sexual fantasy about the enemy.

"I didn't call you a pushover. You just assumed. I meant you were too kind and empathetic to break someone's heart."

His words surprised her and suffused her with joy at the same time.

His stormy brown eyes were weaving a peculiar spell on her. She felt herself being pulled towards him. If either of them leaned in their lips would touch. Both leaned in but before their lips could touch Angela remarked, "Hello Dim and Juicy." Calling them with the affectionate albeit embarrassing names she had given them.

They sprang apart and Angela and Gen hid their laughs.

"You guys can stay here if you want to freeze to death. Gen and I are going inside."
