Thirty minutes later Angela and Alexandria were at the baggage claim terminal when Mona came walking up. "Hey Angela, what's taking so long? You're only back for the weekend!"

"Hello, Mother. I'm actually helping to look for another passenger's bag. Mother, this is Alexandria. Alexandria, this is my mother Mona."

"Nice to meet you, Mona."

"The same to you."

"Alexandria knows Tony from Ridgemont and doesn't have a ride back to Connecticut, so I offered that we could take her."

"If it's not too much trouble…"

"No trouble at all, Alex. Besides, it's Angela's car."

"See, I told you!"

"You sure do know your mother, Angela!"

During the drive back to Fairfield the three of them chatted about men and upcoming adventures that were planned. Mona of course had a lot to say in regards to men, but then again she was in expert in that field.

"Thank you again for the ride, Angela! Great meeting you, Mona!"

"See you on Saturday for lunch, Alexandria!"

"See you then!"

After dropping her off, Mona inquired "So what's up, Ang? I know you and you'd never just offer a stranger a ride. So again I ask, what's up?"

"We shared a row on the plane, and it really was a rough flight. We got to talking and she'd mentioned she went to Ridgemont with Tony. He apparently introduced her to her current boyfriend. I think his name is Greg."

"So? How do you go from that to offering her a ride home?"

"She didn't have a way home since our plane was rerouted, and since she's from the Fairfield area I figured why not offer?"

"Hmmm…I don't think that's all but I'll leave it alone for now. So what should we do for dinner?"

"I haven't eaten anything since I…."

"Since you what?"

"Umm, since I had breakfast."

"You haven't eaten since then? Okay, pizza for dinner it is!"

"Pizza doesn't sound good. Maybe just some chicken and noodles."

"Chicken and noodles?! You haven't requested that since…Angela Catherine Bower, are you pregnant?"

"What? Why would you ask me that?"

"You look tired, you didn't want to drive the Jag, you haven't asked about work, and now you're asking for your go-to pregnancy craving."

"First of all Mother, I've been busy looking at locations for the Midwest office, likely in Dubuque; I had a rough flight; we had Alexandria in the car; and my stomach is a bit off from the lack of food and rough flight."

"You're also not answering my question, dear. Are you pregnant?"

"Mother, that's a ridiculous question."

"And you aren't telling me yes or no."

"Fine, you want an answer the answer is….Mother, look out!"
