With war on the horizon that leads to the end of the world, they seek answers, and plan to rescue Rean in the progress. Will they save the world before the war or darkness consume all?

22. Another Quest Breakdown

Dateline: August 26 Saturday 1206

(Kirby Return to Dreamland ost - Grape Garden)

"Sorry to keep you all waiting!" Towa said as she was in the computer in the bridge. "I finished scoping out the situation throughout the Empire!"

"Already? Damn, you're good!" Yang praised.

"Not that's what I call skill." Weiss smirked.

"Then let's check it out, shall we?" Meta Knight asked

"You got it. I'll just switch over to Autopilot." Angelica said as she press the Autopilot button.

As Meta Knight call in the group, they were all gather and then the TV monitor was brought out and reveal the map of the Empire.

"I see. So the securtiy's been reduced over in northeastern Lamare, then." Rean said.

"Uncle Zechs did mention having the 3rd Armored Division patrol pulled back." Kurt added

"Should be just enough for us to make it to Alster and Raquel." Ash pointed out.

"That means they'll be stationed near Ordis instead..." Musse sighed. "I doubt we'll be able to go back there for a while."

Towa nodded. "Right. It looks like they carried out these measures in response to yesterday's events. That said, Milsante falls out of their jurisdiction, so the areas are under heavy surveillance. We'd have a hard time heading over that way."

"And it seems we're nowhere near close to getting to Leeves." Levi added

Towa sighed. "I'm sorry, everyone. I tried to find us an opening for Leeves. I really did."

"It's okay, you're doing far much more than we were asking for."

"He's right. No one of us expected anything less." Alisa smiled

"Indeed. The others mention how much of a prodigy you are. I'm grateful for your help, Towa." Meta Knight said.

"Mm-hm. That's my Towa! I do love me a working woman." Angelica cooed "How 'bout a reward for the effort? To the tune of, say, twenty kisses per hour?"

"A-Angie! What's gotten into you?!" Towa asked

"Yeesh. It's like I never left." Crow said.

"It kind of reminds me of the old days." Levi replied

"Yeah. It felt just like our days back at the main campus." Rean smiled.

"Yeah... I know what you both mean." Towa smiled. "We'd always gather in the engineering building to tinker with Angie's bike."

"And Rean would come by and help carry out some test runs for us." Angelica added "I even left it with you after all was said and done."

Rean nodded "Right. I gave it to Alisa after that, so the RF could use it as a development sample."

"Yeah. And then we had to track Angelica down on her cross-continent tour for permission." Alisa added

"But back then, we didn't know the Mushroom Kingdom already have their own version of Bikes, didn't we?" Levi asked.

"Oh yeah. You have no idea. Even Remnant and Fiore had something similar like that. I was worried about the copyright thing. But thankfully, thanks to clarification, there isn't any problem because Orbal Bikes are run by Orbal energy and was built in Zemuria before the world merged together."

"Yeah. Who knew we'd managed to get the crew back together again." Crow nodded but then look upset. "Well... Not the WHOLE crew."

"Right..." Levi let out a low growl.

"Still, it's an unmistakable fact that he set that bomb on the Courageous. I think it goes without saying that a happy reunion's probably off the table." Angelica sighed before she look at Levi. "And Levi, I know how much you hate him, because of what he did to the Courageous, but-"

"Stop." Levi said, interrupting her. "Nothing you say will my mind. He will pay for what he did to the Viscount, Toval and Prince Olivert. I owe those three much. Especially, Prince Olivert. It was he who enrolled in Thors that I would actually experience school life for the first time, making friends, and so many memories, both good and bad. Even thought it was short, my best memories of the outside world was from there. How can I live with myself if I let his murderer get away and not pay for his crime? He will pay in blood, as Alberich and Osborne all together."

"Levi…" Towa sadden while Alisa look down as well while Rean closes his eyes.

Rean understands what George did was unforgivable, but even if he tried to stop Levi from killing George, it will never stop the pain in his heart from the people he was close to. To make it worse, it will stain their relationship and will leave the Halberd. He doesn't want that, but at the same time, he doesn't want George to die. He wants to find a way to solve both solutions.

"I apologize for intriguing or part of this conversation, but I do agree with Levi's reason. Prince Olivert was the reason we were all brought together." Edelgard place her hand over her chest. "It was he who introduced himself to Fodlan. He told Sothis stories about Erebonia and later told to us. We owe him so much. What Osborne and his faction did was unforgivable. I want to avenge him, the Viscount and Toval."

"Agreed. Osborne and his faction deserve no shred of mercy. There no different than Thales and his factions, even to Xehanort. They committed terrible crimes and even unleashed the Great Twilight, for the sake of this Rivalry. A justice sword is what they earn to end their miserable life." Dimitri agreed.

'Which I still can't get over the fact that I finally met this Master Xehanort everyone talk about...' Towa thought.

"I get how Edelgard and Dimitri feels... but I also owe Prince Olivert a debt of gratitude that I can't repay. He and I are somewhat alike. You can say he's a kindred spirit. Even right now it hurts that he's gone. I want to avenge him as much as everyone else. Besides, Osborne and his Gnomes are far too dangerous. They have Epimenides and Cornelia among their ranks." Claude added. "It's too dangerous for them to live. Espcually with the Great Twilight and how many people who are willing to take their side and help them escape."

"Espcually that guy Rufus." Felix said. "I don't know much about him, but as Governor General and Osborne little right hand, he has too many connections. And a dangerous mind." Felix said. "Plus the thought of what happened to Viscount Arside infuriates me so that I'm willing to risk my life to end them."

"Agreed. I think it's safe to say some of us share Levi's justice. George must die." Ingrid grumbled.

"I understand how you all feel but killing George isn't the right choice either. Maybe you are right that arresting him after this is over may not be enough but..." Tails trailed off.

"Okay, so let's say we let Geroge be arrested and thrown in jail. What does that make Osborne or Black Alberich?" Captain Falcon asked.

"Obvious the death sentence. Alberich is nothing more than some trash." Ragna said. "And I think letting George live is too kind either. I don't like the idea of killing, but those who cross the line don't deserve forgiveness."

"Be that as it may, but..." Mario rub his hat as he grumbled.

"Everyone, if I may." Roselina called out to them. "I understand everyone reasons. Yes. What Osborne, Alberich, George and their faction did was unforgivable, yes. They may deserve to die for crossing the line, yes. However, you're all forgetting why the reason they're striking for war. The Rivalry."

"Rosie is right." Palutena agreed. "Remember. Osborne and Ouroboros plan is do this because of the Rivalry. But the question is why they need the Rivalry so badly. And why is it designed to make sure the world is in conflict? We all found out because it has something to do with the Divine Knights. But why are they focused on forcing all Divine Knights and their Awakener into battle? Every action has meaning. Just as the design. More importantly. Why did Erebonia's curse have to cause people to lead to the path of destruction? And our objective is to find a path where we can stop Operation Jormungandr, stop the war from happening, and save many lives from happening."

"Palutena is also right." Rean nodded. "Not to mention, we also need to decide if we want to support Mille Mirage. But we also need to find the path that can prevent all of this. I know there is a way and a path that will lead us to the road of dawn. We may have killed our enemies before, but our focus is to stop the Chancellor and rid of this curse for good. Yes, what they have done is unforgivable. But that's all the more reason to stop them. We need to figure out how to stop this curse for good. And after this is over, we can let a trial of justice know how to deal with them. And hopefully, make the right choices. But right now, I want to take George back. Knock him back into his senses and bring him back to the light."

Levi sighed. "Rean's right. Let's focus on the situation right now and how to stop them."

"Hold up. But don't we have gods and goddesses who can help us? Can't we ask them to help stop this crazy hell we're in?" Ragna asked.

"Be that as it may Ragna, but we gods can't be too directly involved ourselves in mankind. Yes, we're helping you now, but only because the world is in jeopardy and we want to see how humanity can solve this problem on their own without the intervention of gods."

"Seriously? Tch. So much for asking Gods for help." Ash complains.

"Ash, please be respectful. I agree with Palutena. This curse was brought by humanity's hands. Humanity needs to figure out how to solve this problem with our own hands. We can't ask for Gods to fix the problem we cause." Edelgard said. "They can help us however they like in spiritual or involve as Palutena said, but not all of her power unless it's necessary. Besides. I want to know more about this curse."

"Yeah, I agree with our ladies as well. This curse of the Great One also piques my curiosity. I want to save our world with our hands and how to lift this curse. It won't be easy but I know we can do it." Claude said. "So right now, what should we do?"

"Well we still need to figure out the whereabouts of Tita, Her Highness, Elise and Tio. While I work on it, why don't you guys do some of the requests that came in?" Towa suggest

The group went to the monitor and there were four requests to do.

I would deal with this monster myself but Kokonoe suggested you needed extra training to deal with the threats ahead of you. You will be rewarded for your efforts if you defeat it. But be cautious about this creature. I rather not get the people to get hurt if they wander around. - Tager

"A request from Alster, a person search, another extermination request and another cryptid has been sighted by Tager." Rean said.

"Wait, who's this 'Kaela' person?" Juna asked.

"Remiferia...could it be one of those two we met at the lodge before?" Kurt guessed.

"Without a doubt, it's one of those women from before. Which a certain duchess knows about." Levi turn to Musse.

"All I'll say is that one is from Remiferia, and the other...well, her circumstances are rather exceptional, you see." Musse said. "Though I suspect it's exactly as you already may have guessed."

"Well, if you're curious, all you have to do is respond to the request." Sara suggest.

"We should go check on these new locations we can get to as well." Gaius added

"Sounds good to me." Ash wrap his arm behind his neck. "Raquel opened up just in time. Coulda used a break after Ordis, but eh. Whatever."

"Agreed. And of course, another reason behind that too." Venti nodded.

"So, does that mean." Rean turn to Ash and Venti.

"Yep. We're gonna be your next watchdog, much as that bites." Ash smirked. "We'll be keepin' a tight leash, so you'd best get your shit together, Schwarzer."

"You can tell he's actually enjoying this." Juna said with a deadman look.

"He would not be Ash otherwise." Altina agreed while Rean sweatdrop.

"Did you have to say it like that?" Venti sighed. "We're just going to monitor him. Don't make it sound like we're going to chain him like a dog like you describe."

Rean sighed. "Oh, boy... Okay, Ash, Venti. I'll be counting on you two."

"Heh. You're one lucky guy, Rean." Elliot chuckled.

"Okay so we got three requests so which one of us should take the other?" Byleth asked

"Well I'm interested on that cryptid. So I'll be going back to that place to face it." Felix said.

"In that case, I'll be joining you." Laura said. "Duvalie, will you be joining us?"

Duvalie sighed. "Very well. I do not see why not."

"Oh. Then let me come and assist as well." Ingrid smiled

"Same!" Ashe smiled.

"I can stretch out my legs." Sonic fold his arm.

"I'll admit, the Cryptid piqued my curiosity so please allow me to come along." Xander said.

"Okay we got one team. I'll be taking down that monster the Bracer Guild requested." Byleth said.

"I'll come along as well. I like to improve much of my swordplay." Yuri said.

"I also like to hone my swordsmanship. It's not often I get to face Powerful monsters." Reinhardt said.

"Oh in that case, I like to come assist you! I been meaning to visit some part of Erebonia." Beatrice said as she clapped her hands together.

"Um... I can come too, if that's all right." Marianne said.

"Then I shall come along as well. Further to fight these monsters to protect the common- Ah, I keep doing that. To protect the people is something I like to do." Lorenz said.

"I like to come along as well." Terra said.

"Same with me!" Ventus said.

"Okay then I'll go visit the Distillery in Alster. Who wants to come with?" Elliot asked.

"Let me give it a go." Tails said.

"Hmm..." Waluigi rub his chin. "I'm-a-kinda curious so I'll head there. What do you say, Bro?" He turn to Wario.

"Eh. Probably." Wario replied.

"Well, I don't mind tagging along." Dedede said

"Then I can come along as well." Gray said.

"Oh, If Gray is going, then I'll come along too~. The Thought where me and Gray visit the Distillery together, sipping wine together in a beautiful winery sounds romantic~" Juvia said.

"Hehe, you're getting some fun time." Wario said with a grin, causing Gray to groan.

"Okay, Guess for my team..." Rean rub his chin. "Levi, Instructor Sara, Kirito, Asuna, Daisy, you interested?"

"Sure. You can count on me." Levi smiled

"Sounds like a plan." Kirito said.

"Yep! Count me in." Daisy nodded.

Angelica let out a sigh of satisfaction as she's in the hot springs with Ann, Futaba, Mipha, Urbosa, Mona, Samus, Hilda, Bayonetta, Ludmilla, Rouge, Kammy, Xion, Ryuji, Akira, Yosuke, Teddie, and Snake. "Who knew that paradise would be tucked away right here, with all these angels to shelter me from the bleak world outside? But this party can't really get started without Towa! She needs to come over here, or I'll regret it my whole life long!"

"Okay, settle down Angelica. We get you are quite affectionate but try not to overdo it." Hilda said with a nervous smile.

"Sheesh, Alisa wasn't kidding about bathing with Angelica is never as peaceful as one would hope." Futaba sighed.

"Though I am flattered to be called an angel. This spring goes lovely with my skin." Rogue said, rubbing her arms with the Fairy Spring water.

"Ohohoh~ This Hot Springs is to die for~ Not literally of course. Angelica's passion is quite the taste indeed." Ludmilla giggled. "Of course, I'm not comparing it to The Blue Moon Inn back in Rigbarth. Their Hot Springs are just as refreshing."

I'm sure Aidios, or other gods, or any friends, family, and boyfriends is looking out for those girls. It's not because of bias crap like homophobia, but because you happened to be too passionate that makes the girls you flirted uncomfortable. Naturally, their Pokemon, concerned friends, and family want to pull them away from someone who makes them uncomfortable. Plus, any boyfriend with the right mind would want to keep their girlfriends safe from men or women who tried to steal them from them." Snake explains.

Ryuji nodded in agreement. "Exactly! You can't just hit on any woman. If they're taken, you should back up, otherwise, you'll get kicked in the ass. I would definitely do things if you hit on the girl that I like."

"Oh yeah? So if Angelica were to flirt with me, you or Akira will help me out?" Ann asked

"Of course." Akira nodded

"Aww, thanks."

"Oh now you're just being cruel." Angelica groaned.

"Either way, you need to control yourself Angelica." Xion sighed.

"Huh, you know, were there some guys out there who are flirting with men like Angelica did to those girls?" Hilda asked

"Good question. And if they're like Angelica, their friends, family or even their girlfriends would pull them away and probably proclaim men are the finest treasures." Kammy shrug.

"Hmph. If there was someone out there. I could say we're somewhat kindred spirits but we would have a debate about that topic." Angelica said.

"Yeah, good luck with that." Yosuke sweatdrop.

"So Angelica, I got a question. Were there any guys you're friends with who like guys?" Ludmilla asked

"Well aside from King Byleth, Yuri, Ares, Ryker, Shez and Kazuha, there were two guys I've met. One I met in Calvard who wanted to ask his cute friend out while the other was in Remiferia was Bi. He has a crush on a handsome guy and a beautiful woman. I encourage the Calvardian one to go for it while I take the girl off his hands while he go for his handsome friends." Angelica grinned. "Not sure what happen to the one in Calvard, but the one in Remiferia begin his relationship with his handsome friend. I wonder how those too are doing."

"I'm not surprised you would do that." Ryuji sighed.

The group arrived in Raqual and then headed and make way toward Hermit Bar & Inn.

"Okay so now that we're here. Where can we find our client?" Asuna asked.

"We could ask the Innkeeper about it." Kirito said as they approached her. "Excuse me, do you know where Kaela is?"

"Hmm? Oh you're looking for Kaela? What business you have with her?" Juila asked.

"She sent out a request for us about some friend." Ash answered

"Oh, you're here for that! Second door on your way." She said as they go up the stairs and then knock on the first door.

"Coming." A voice replied inside and then the door open to be one of the women back in the Rest Lodge. "Can I help you?"

"Excuse me. You're Kaela, right?" Rean asked. "I believe you made a request to find your friend?"

"Yes, that's right." Kaela nodded. " Am I right in thinking that you are a group taking on my request in place of the guild, then?"

"Essentially, yes"

"Well, some of us are bracers." Sara replied.

"I remember you." Levi cross his arm. "You're that rude woman who got the guts to threaten me, my friends and my students."

"And you were that gentleman who had the guts to give me a threat." She remarked.

"I was doing my job to protect my students. While you ask too many questions. It isn't my fault you spill your mouth."

"I take it you're sticking to that backstory this time, too?" Ash asked

"And there he goes." Venti sweatdrop

"Rather rude of you to call it a 'backstory' but… That aside, as I'm requesting assistance, I'll be showing you at least a certain degree of sincerity." Kaela replied. "It may not seem so, but I'm quite impressed with the Ashen Chevalier- Mr. Schwarser- and his schoolmates. Even if the same can't be said about you half-wit."

"Choose your words more carefully." Levi give her a glare. "I don't appreciate you antagonizing my students."

"Now now, Levi. I'll take it from here." Rean said to calm Levi down. "Anyway, you seem to know a lot about me already."

"Heheh… in any case, we all have a lot going on." She replied. "But there is something I want to say. Regarding this request, I have no ill will towards the Empire or yourselves. So I would be delighted to receive your help."

"Circumstances has brought us together, so of course, we'd be happy to help."

"Thank you."

"So, something about looking for your friend who got to Erebonia ahead of you?" Ash asked.

"If I had to guess. I say that you requested our help to find this friend of yours." Venti Guessed.

"Yes. His name is Cody. He's 18 years old." Kaela nodded. "He's a blond-haired young man who has a Remiferian passport, like myself. By the way, I did put a mission persons ad in the Imperial Chronicle. That's how I received some reports that he was in Raquel."

"I see. So you were the one who placed the ad." Rean said.

"But this is as much as I can do. The reason being that my goal for chasing him down isn't to just find him, but rather to apprehend him. If I go around asking for information on his whereabouts, it's very likely that he'll find out. That's why I wanted to be more subtle and have someone he doesn't know track him down."

"Makes sense to me."

"Ugh… So much for this just being a missing person request." Ash wrap his arms behind his back.

"So he's a criminal that escape to the Empire?" Venti asked

"Not exactly…" Kaela replied. "I'm fully aware that this is a very unreasonable request. As such, I won't force you to take it, but…"

"It's fine. We've accepted the request, so we're going to see it through." Rean said. "Anyway, do you know what clothes Cody is wearing?"

"I do. According to the latest information… I believe he's wearing a blue top and dark beige pants."

"A blond foreigner... And we know what he's wearing. This might be easier than I thought." Ash replied.

'Let's pin this bastard down!' Ash nodded. 'He's got that Calvardian battle orbment, RAMDA, right?'

'That means he will give us an easier time to slip past us. If we hurry and find a shorter path. We can have a better chance to catch up to him' Venti pointed out.

The group took off toward the street where they spotted the invisible figure took ff, but they took to the shortcut and then spotted the figure cloak in a blue cloak projections as he run as fast as he said.

"He's heading toward North Languedoc Canyon Road. Come on, let's get him!" Levi agreed as they took off at the canyon road but the figure disappeared. "Damnit, he sure know how to run!"

"Heh. Please, we can catch up to him even if we try." Daisy said. "He must used that RAMBA thing or whatever you call it."

"That guy though. I was that Calvardian agent, Cody, isn't it?" Venti asked. "Isn't he from the Hercules special forces?"

"No doubt about it. I would've figured he'd been sent back to the Republic by now. Rean nodded. "Regardless, we should follow him north and keep Kaela apprised of the stations."

"Right. Come on, we better hurry." Sara agreed as they rushed as fast as they could.

As the team rushed past some monsters and Pokemon who were minding their own business to catch up to Cody, they spotted the road that the government sealed off.

"Hey, this is the road that the government sealed off." Levi said. "And where we fought with Sara against that tiger lighting crypids."

"This sounds like a pretty good spot to hide in." Daisy remark.

"You're right. I can sense people ahead." Venti added.

"Yeah. Luckily for us, it seems our target thinks he manages to lose us along the way. Let's see if we can get any closer while we wait for Kaela." Rean said

"It's about the operations, sir. I can't get behind the idea of harming civilians, even if they are from the Empire."

"Cody, don't tell me you're going soft on us now. Where's your pride, soldier? Think of everything the Empire has done to Calvard and its citizens!"

'I still can't tell you everything, but you seem to have a solid grasp of the situation. They are the Hercules 5th Squad, which has been operating inside the Empire since the Summer Festival. They were captured, they were already repatriated back to the Repuplic. But when the emperor was shot, they've suddenly vanished and was scene throughout the Empire. I'm not sure how they did it either. That's been the biggest concern and mystery the Calvardian Government of how they infiltrated Erebonia once more.'

'Not everything can't be simple it seems.' Venti sighed.

'At present, they seem to be planning to create some kind of disturbance within the Empire. Since they're acting without any sort of official sancution, the Calvardian government wants them stopped at all costs.'

'Sounds like the Republic has plenty of its own problems to deal with.' Rean said

Even so, this is as far as we can go today.' Kaela sighed. 'You've given us a considerable leg by uncovering their hideout. We'll start devising a countermeasure, and-'

'Huh! Everyone, look!' Venti alerted them as they see the Calvardian commander pointed his sword at Cody.

"STOP!" Kaela yelled as she rushed in with the group as they turn to them.

"Kaela... I should have known." Captain Regan growled. "And you brought the cavalry, too." He turn to Cody. "Cody, you idiot! You let yourself beg tailed! Everyone, we're making an emergency retreat! Move out!"

"Oh no you don't!" Levi respond.

But before they could stopped them as Cody and the other Hercule's Squad took off, suddenly, bullets were shot at him, forcing him to swirl his Glaive into a shield to repel them as they saw an Airship and more Calvardian Agents begin to board it.

"Cody! Wait!" Kaela yelled as she reached out her hand but too late as they took off.

"Yeah..." Kaela sighed sadly as she turn to the group. "I'm... sorry you had to see me like this. We finally got some good intel, and I let my personal feelings get the better of me."

"Don't beat yourself up. It was only natural you'd want to save Cody." Rean pointed out. "I am a little surprised, though. I didn't realize he was your brother."

"But that guy who pointed his blade... I saw the darkness coming from him. It's like he was possessed." Levi remark. "Could he still be affected by the Dark Dragon influence?"

"After what we just saw. I'd say it's a definite possibility."

"What's worse, the Great Twilight has made it worse."

"If you're right, then I can't afford to waste any time." Kaela sighed. "I wish I could do something to thank you all... But I promise I'll find out where they're planning to strike next and stop them."

"We appreciate it. And if you need any help, we'd be happy to pitch in." Rean said with a warm comforted smile.

"Yeah. I'm sure you're still getting used to how things are in the Empire. Let us know when you got the lead." Venti smiled.

"Well Damn. Even from this distance. Levi is able to sense me. But for Rean. I should expect it. Levi gave me one nasty stare through." Lechter sighed. "But that woman, Kaela, was it? She sure has made a mess of things for us."

"Major Lechter. Are you sure it's all right to let Class VII and their friends go free on top of the Hercules Squad getting away?" The soldier asked.

"Yeah. The way things are now, it's better not to get involved. My to-do list is lengthy enough as it is. Plus I rather not get into Sullivan's wrath, giving him the wrong ideas. Maybe we can just pretend we didn't see any of this go down."

"Perhaps you're right. We're plenty busy already. If that's your call, I won't go against it. You are the son of my old commanding officer, after all."

"We'll just think of it as them getting lucky this time around." Lechter look at the direction of team. "Schwarzer, Sullivan, Carbide. This one's on me. Don't say I never did anything for you." He said as he and the commander took off.

"It was rather disappointing at first, but the fact that puppet letting darkness into his heart, affecting his soul is rather curious. A pity it had to interrupt. I'll continue observing things from the shadow. As should you."

"Ahaha! Oh I intent too." Dimentio grinned as he and Relius teleported away.

"Right. First we had Kia and Gasco, the town's best engineers, take a look at it. It sounds like repair isn't just an option. These parts need to be replaced entirely." The female staff continued

"Well I'm an engineer myself, maybe I can help fix it." Tails said. "But what are the key components that you'll need?"

"There are three parts in particular we're having trouble getting. The first is the pressure valve. It's used to lower the pressure in the distillation still." Gustav explained

"Next, we have the cooling coil. It's a tube that efficiently cools vaporized alcohol to turn into a liquid." Valerie continue

"And last but no' least, a large pump gear. It's one o' the parts that transfer the refined alcohol back taw the storage tanks." Pablo finished

"Does anyone get what that kid is saying?" Dedede asked

"Nope." Wairo and Waluigi shook his head, causing Pablo to sweatdrop.

"Ah, I see what you guys are looking for. Hang on. I think I said those components in hand. I'll need to trouble check." Tails pull out his Tool set which reveal several several tools and comparents.

"Gah! It's more like some sort of monstrous cephalopod!" Lorenz exclaimed.

"Could this be one of those cryptids? I've sense some sort of otherworldly presence... but..." Marianna wondered

"Whatever these fiends are, they must be defeated." Reinhardt said.

"Indeed." Beatrice brought out her Axe. "Let us deal with this monster."

"Right. Is everyone ready?" Byleth asked

Yuri pull out his sword as everyone got out their weapons. "Ready as we'll ever be."

(Trails of Cold Steel IV ost - Robust One)

The Scyllamarme spotted them and summon spawn version of it as they charge toward the group.

"Aura!" Marianne cast her Aura spell onto the monsters and they screeched in agony as they vanished. "Ah, they appear to be weakened by my white magic!"

"Good to know. Now we got the upper hand." Yuri said as he and Byleth dash as Lorenz mounted on his Black Horse as a Dark Knight Class and charged toward it.

Scyllamarme swings it's tentacles onto Byleth and Yuri but they dodged until Scyllamarme begin to spin around to push them back. Lorenz rode around it and cast a Fire Spell as Scyllamarme turn to him and launch a jab attack. Lorenz was able to dodge it as Terra used Meteor on it as Ventus Keyblade change form into Windblade and dash toward Scyllamarme and unleash a flurry of Keyblade strikes. Scyllamarme spin around and use Soul Eater to steal HP from Ventus as Byleth Cast Aura on it, causing it to screech.

Byleth unleash a Sword of the Creator Whip chain attack on it as Yuri throw Daggers on the side. Scyllamarme turn and fire a beam from its largemouth. Yuri dodged it and then cast Aura onto Scyllamarme as it screech in agony as Lorenz then used Frozen Lance on Scyllamarme. Scyllamarme unleash a sheech that cause their ears to damage them and Lorenz's horse spook as Lorenz hold on tight to the rein.

"Whoa, whoa!" Lornez yelled as Scyllamarme backhand him and his horse. "Ugh!"

Reinhardt dash toward and unleash powerful slashes onto Scyllamarme as Beatrice unleash a powerful swing on it's back as Scyllamarme begin a spin attack and then charge a beam onto them, striking and knocking them back. Scyllamarme unleash a dark wavelength toward the group as Marianne protect Lornez with her magic as he got back on his horse and calming it down. Marianne summon ice shards to rain down onto Scyllamarme as Yuri dash toward and unleash combo slashes with swift movements and then imbued it with magic and unleash a new series of slashes on Scyllamarme

Scyllamarme attempted to grabbed Yuri, but Byleth rush forward and unleash a powerful downward swing. Terra then launch combo slashes and then Geo Impact and then Meteor Crash as Venti follow up with combo slashes and then Wind Waid. Byleth let out series of slashes along with Yuri until Scyllamarme wrap itself and unleashed a wavelength to push them back. It then grabbed Ventus and Terra and slam them down. Beatrice jump up and then hammer the humanoid body while Reinhard dash upward, unleashing a upperslash, horizontal slash and then finish it off with of clockwise strike.

Scyllamarme hissed until Lorenz imbued his lance with magic and then dash toward, unleashing a flurry of jabs on horseback as Marianne then channel Ice and White Magic together to create a holy Ice attack as it rain down onto Scyllamarme. Yuri created clones of himself and then dash through Scyllamarme, snapping his fingers for wind magic to burst out underneath Scyllamarme and Byleth's Sword of the Creator glow with red energy unleash a large powerful slashes that pierce through Scyllamarme's defensices and then he vertical slash to Scyllamarme's body, causing it to screech in agony as Terra and Ventus go for the killing blow as he both charge toward Scyllamarme and pierce through it, causing Scyllamarme to explode in a purple light.

"Phew. Is everyone okay?" Terra asked.

"Yeah, we're good." Byleth nodded as they put their weapon away while Lorenz dismount his horse.

"Well, that creature was formidable, but we have overcome it together." Lorenz smiled

"You did well Lorenz."

"I wonder what kind of monster is that. Was it a demon?" Marianne asked

"Possible. I do know that Angels are Demons have weakness to each others affinity of Holy and demonic magic." Terra said.

"My stars! So we overwhelm a demon! And a powerful one at best!" Beatrice clapped her hands in joy.

"Still, we have completed the requests as the Bracer Guild like, yes?" Reinhardt asked.

"Yep." Yuri nodded before noticing Leonora coming closer with an Orbal Bike. "Oh."

"Oh hey guys! You're one of Instructor Rean's friends right?" Leonora asked

Volcanic Elephant - Agaragion

Laura formed a link with Felix, Duvalie form a link with Xander, Ashe formed a link with Ingrid and Sonic link with Amy

Agaragion let out a roar onto the group as Felix and Laura dash toward the cryptid as it swings its tusk and attempt to stomp on them as they dodge and counterattack with their slashes. Xander rode around Agaragion while Duvalie warp around it and unleashed a series of slashes. Ingrid flew around and launch jabs attack from her lance while Ashe rode around, shooting arrows around Agaragion's body. Agaragion let out a roar as it summon meteors.

"Oh you got to be kidding." Felix grumbled as he and the rest dodged while Agaragion pranced and then stomped to create a large shockwave to push the group back.

Agaragion unleashed a heatwave until Amy threw her Pika Hammer heavy and struck Agaragion's forehead, canceling it as Sonic curl into a ball and use Homing Shot with a few kicks. Duvalie recovered as she created clones of herself and dash and struck Agaragion as Xander unleashed a purple energy slash on Agaragion's forehead. Agaragion shoots a stream of fire from the mouth until Laura imbues her Greatsword with radiant energy and unleashes swing series vertically and horizontally until she use True Lion Rush. Felix follows up by warping around, dealing phantom slashes and then reappear by launching a series of slashes.

Ashe fire arrows after another while Ingrid flew around and form into a drill attack on Agaragion's forehead. Ingrid then launch a few swings of her Luin as Agaragion move his head to push her away, but Ingrid was swift enough to avoid it. Sonic pull out a Spring and use it to jump high to reach's Agaragion's face and then Homing Shot again a few times as Amy materlize another hammer onto Agaragion's forehead. Agaragion unleash a thunderous roar to push the group back and then it begin to stomp it's feet to spawn lava.

"Everyone, look out!" Ingrid yelled to her friends blow as they all step away from the lava.

Agaragion then shoot fire from it's nose toward Amy, which Sonic rescue her by warping, grab her and relocates to another pinpoint where she hurl her hammer to Agaragion's left cheek and stop it.

"That girl has quite the accurate arm." Duvalie said to herself as she dahs toward Agaragion and swing her sword at him as Xander begin to glow.

"Prepare yourself!" Xander gallop toward and unleash a mighty swing and struck Agaragion's leg with a critical hit, causing it to let out a low growl.

Agaragion attempted to stump on Xander, but he rode around it, slashing the feet as he does while Duvalie imbued her sword with electricity, her craft: Storm Brand and unleash a thunderous swing. Felix let out a series of slashes while Laura extended her greatsword's range and then dash forward to unleash a mighty swing. Amy then rush to join as Agaragion spotted her and shoot fire from its mouth as he dodged. Sonic Spin Dash Agaragion and Amy swing her hammer on Agaragion's leg. Agaragion roar to summon meteors onto the ground as it create several fiery explosion.

Unfortunately for it, Ingrid avoided all of it's attack because she's a Falcorn Knight. She used her Combat Art: Burning Quake on Agaragion's forehead with a fiery explosion, causing it to roar. Ashe then begin to shoot his arrow toward the cryptid's eyes, but it lifted its head to avoid that. Ashe ready his arrow and then start shooting onto Agaragion's body. Felix took a stance where he sheath his sword, creating clones of himself and dash forward Agaragion, dealing a large strike with the shadows before he begin to imbued his sword with blue energy and then dash again, warping around with phantom slashes as he backlfip, created clones again and then strike through with phantom slashes.

Sonic launch several Homing Shots around Agaragion while Amy ready her hammer to throw at Agaragion's next attack as it begin to summon meteors again, but only for Ingrid to stop it by drill attack on Agaragion's left, halting the summoning and Amy throw her hammer toward Agaragion's left eye, causing it to roar in agony.

"Huh. I was aiming for the head but okay." Amy shrugged

"Either way, you got a good aim." Ashe said, pulling out another arrow where he channel wind energy into it, then release it, creating multiple arrows onto Agaragion's eye level area, causing it to roar.

Agaragion stomp it's feet to create lava and then begin to throw a tantrum by creating more lava.

"Azure Cleaver!" Laura use True Azure Cleaver to cut a path through the lava as Felix, Duvalie and Xander charge in and unleash a series of slashes onto Agaragion as Ingrid swirl Luin and took a stance as she glow.

"You're finished!" Ingrid yelled as she flew into a drill form and impale Agaragion's forehead as Ashe also glowing.

"I've got you!" Ashe then released his eye onto Agaragion's eye and struck a heavy blow, causing it to roar in agony as Xander unleash a series of slashes before Siegfried's energy raised up and shoot a purple beam onto Agaragion's chin and Laura then use her S-Craft True Radiant Blade to deal the finishing blow, causing the cryptid to explode into the purple light.

"Phew. We did it." Ingrid said as she landed and dismount. "It was a frightening opponent indeed."

"Eh, I've defeated things bigger and stronger." Sonic shrug.

"Regardless, we have overcome it." Laura smiled.

"Heh. It makes a fine challenge to hone my skills." Felix said with a smirk.

"Hmph. I'll admit, your skills have grown compared to two years ago." Duvalie said.

"Well, considering you been at Warzone for the past two years, the only thing you do is slay heartless after heartless."

"True. Either way, not bad I suppose. Your speed has grown to be quite impressive."

"Not as much as yours. But thankfully I think I managed to catch up to your speed level. Who knows. Maybe you and I should have a sparing match to see which one of us is faster and stronger."

"Ha! As if you can best my lord's teaching!"

"I feel like me and Sara should tag along, too." Fie added. "The guild has a temporary branch there. Might end up useful."

Sara nodded. "Agreed, but we can't both go. We've got bracers operating all over. One of us needs to stay back and be a liaison."

"I see your point." Rean replied. "We can decide for sure when the mission starts."

"Team's looking pretty solid." Crow smirked. "Now to get crackin' on how we're pulling this thing off."

"Would it not be simplest to teleport in from the witches's village and infiltrate from there?" Duvalie asked

"Actually... We can't use that route right now." Emma said.

"There's something strange going on with the teleportation stones in South Isthmia. Probably a disturbance in the spirit veins, if I had to guess." Celine said. "Levi, you can teleport the group there, right?"

Levi nodded "I can yes. We can use my magic to teleport to Saint-Arkh. But we need to decide where we can teleport though."

"The rest of us can start preparing the meantime. Let's get to it, everyone!"

As everyone split up and do their own thing, they also begin to head to the Trial Chest as they go. Meanwhile, There was something in Rean's thought that kept him occupied.

"I'm looking forward to facing you again after the Great Twilight is over. Of course, that depends if you can defeat your father... and the dark one and if this world doesn't get destroyed."

'The Dark one... What does he mean by that?' Rean wondered. 'Hmm... I need some training for the battle ahead. Lucky. I know a place.' He said as he headed off to Radiant Garden.

"Oh hey Tails, Futaba, Kirito, Yui, Ann, Zelda and Mipha. What brings you guys here?"

"I got a little bored so I decided to come in here and see if there's anyone I can do. Ann came to help cure my boredom." Futaba answered.

"I'm here if there's any project I could work on or I can head to the computer room for some data analysis." Kirito said.

"Mipha and I were just wandering around until we met up with the others." Zelda giggled. "What about you, Alisa?"

"I was just thinking about giving my EXA a proper maintenance." Alisa answered

"Right. I'm guessing you're curious to know why." Rean said. "Well..." 'Should I really tell them? I mean, hearing about them in data might be a surprise... but...'

"I see you're hesitant. There's something special about this training, isn't it?" Xehanort asked

"You could say that." Rean scratch his hair until he sigh. "Well, you're gonna find out sooner or later. If you're interested, I wouldn't mind you two accompanying me. But I need to make some heads up first. I'll explain when we head over there."

"Thank you. Oh, and by the way, I will be accompanied by two acquaintances of mine. However, a certain someone will cause you all to be surprised."

"Oh really? And who is that?" Even asked.

"Well, you'll see for yourselves. I'll explain when I get there."

"Very well. We will be waiting." Ansem said and Ienzo hang up. "Hmm, what does he mean by that?"

"Good question. Do you think its someone we haven't been acquainted yet?" Even asked.

"And thus, Xehanort is also monitored by this mysterious force to assist you against the Great Twilight. The Gentlemen next to him is Master Eraqus who was summoned not just to aid him, but also monitor him to help atone for his sins." Ansem finished.

"Ugh..." Even sighed. "This is all completely absurd. But, with many wonders and powers that are beyond our understanding, even in this world."

"Indeed. But seeing you here Vexen, now I understand how Roxas was able to obtain a vessel. Very clever of you. I knew seeking your help back then truly was the right choice." Xehanort said as he turned to the others. "But as Rean said, I promise you I will not cause any of you harm. And I am not your enemy. That's all in the past now. I know my actions will not be forgiven so easily after I've done to each of you... especially you, Ansem the Wise given what I've done in both the form you see before you as well as when I was your apprentice when I became Terra-Xehanort."

"If Rean can vouch that you will not cause us harm, then I will believe in his words for now." Ansem said to him. "And are you certain that he should be here, Rean?"

"Well, he's going to find out eventually since we're now allies, so the sooner the better I suppose." Rean said

"Perhaps. Very well. Xehanort. While I do not trust you, I will allow you to be here at Rean's request. So long you do not reveal the secrets that we have here in the lab." Ansem affirmed as he looked at Xehanort dead in the eyes.

Ansem turn to Rean. "So which opponent you would like to face?"

Rean begin to be lost in thought, but he knows which opponent he likes to face. "Can I face Xehanort on Proud Mode?"

"Of course. But remember, Xehanort is formidable. Of course, I'm sure you're aware of how tough he is. Especially the very man right here." Even look at Xehanort.

"Right." Rean nodded as they set up the mode and Rean approached the teleporter where he headed to the teleporter where he arrive in the Cavern of Remembrance. "Thirteen key shapes gates, huh?" Rean mused as he look at each Key shape portals before spotted the Emblem with the X-Blade. "That emblem... the Keyblade... no... the X-blade. So this is it." He said as he touch the portal and got himself digitized. "Whoa!"

"Xehanort! You're-!" Rean was this close to pull his Tachi but stop. "No... I'm talking to data version of him. Not the real thing." 'Especially the real thing is alive because of this mysterious force, even outside this data world as I speak.'

"And yet I can still talk to you as if I was alive." Data- Xehanort responds, causing Rean to gasp.

"Wha- you can understand me?"

"Indeed. I may be just data, but I am still the same man who was defeated by you and your friends. Minus Lianne."

"..." Rean was speechless as he sighed and placed his hand on his forehead. 'I guess he doesn't know about his current self is resurrected for now... I think perhaps its best that way. Which also means I must pretend.' Rean turn to Data-Xehanort "I remember that you were revived as "data", but perhaps I should expected that you would speak to me as if you were alive back then. Still, I welcome this opportunity. I never thought we would be speaking like this again. Even if you aren't the real thing."

Data-Xehanort let out a small laugh. "Is that so? It's quite funny how things turn out. Much has changed for you, Rean Schwarzer. It seems your powers as the Sacrifice have finally taken the stage, along with the Great Twilight and the Rivalry."

"So you already knew. Perhaps I should have expected that, considering you were one of the Chancellor's allies back then. Maybe it is a good thing that I face you again, even if you are data. Knowing that you are Xehanort, there are questions that I want to ask you. You know what my father's plan is, don't you?"

"Indeed I do. However, do you truly think I would just give you the answers that simple? What's more, you didn't come here just to speak with me."

"You're right. But there are pieces of the puzzles we have yet to grasp on the situations. Operation Jormungandr, The Rivalries, the Chancellor's motivation, The Great Twilight, and the curse that has plague Erebonia since the beginning of its history. There is much I need to know about before we can finally the truth." Rean, said, readied his Tachi and took his stance. "If I win this fight, I want you to answer them."

"Very well. If you win that is." Data-Xehanort said, summoning the X-Blade.

"But know this boy, if you cannot defeat me, you will not be able to defeat the Chancellor. You lack the will to resist the curse and its influence. And that is what forces you to usher the Great Twilight. If you cannot conjure your fear, then all will be lost to you." Data-Xehanort said.

"..!" Rean clenched his teeth before he takes his stance. "Then I'll show you that I can."

Old Man Data with Grand Ambition - -Data Xehanort

Rean lunged toward Data-Xehanort and slashed him, but Data-Xehanort blocked it and kicked Rean back, and cast Dark Firaga toward him. Rean then deflected Dark Firaga with a swing of his Tachi as Data-Xehanort summoned a huge cannon and fired a massive laser toward Rean as he nearly dodged it as the laser nearly touch his cheek. Rean then lung toward Data-Xehanort and they both swing at each other

Rean's Tachi imbued with True Crimson Fire. "Crimson Slash!" Then launch Crimson Slash to push Data-Xehanort back.

Data-Xehanort then used Flare Tornado to surround Rean.

"Shine!" Data-Xehanort then summoned large cannons to fire at Rean double jump out of the Flare Tornado and landed on his feet.

Data-Xehanort then shot Flare Shot toward Rean as he roll out of the way and lung toward Data-Xehanort and swing at him. Data-Xehanort block it and counterattack with a jabs combo and then launch another Flaore Shot at Rean, but he dodged them and then use True Helix onto Data-Xehanort. Rean then let out a series of slashes onto Data-Xehanort as Xehanor respond in kind.

"So you have improve much in your Eight Leaves." Data-Xehanort mused.

"It's all thanks to the struggles that I've been through and you put me through." Rean respond before he evade Data-Xehanort's attack and ler out a cork slash to knock him back.

"Ha! What indeed!" Data-Xehanort grinned as he fire Flare Shot at Rean who then deflected with a swing of his sword.

Rean lunged toward Xehanart as they wing each other again, but Data-Xehanort block and parry and then punch Reanto send him sliding. Data-Xehanort aimed the X-Blade up in the air with a Thundaga, but Rean recovered and rolled out of the way, then Data-Xehanort warped to him and slashed him, but Rean blocked and then sweep kicked him.

"Arcane Gale!" Rean zoom toward Data-Xehanort to slashed through him and then unleash a Crimson fire on him.

Data-Xehanort recovered and then warped to him and slashed him, but Rean blocked it again, but Data-Xehanort continue to warp toward Rean and slash him with immense speed. Rean block each of Data-Xehanort's attack until one of his attacks stuck him and then Data-Xehanort swing upward to knock Rean into the air and then shout out Blizzaga Shot at him, froze him and then he wrap around Rean and unleashed slashes on him and knock him back to the ground, breaking his frozen status.

Rean quickly got back up as Data-Xehanort raised his Keyblade to cast Thunaga onto Rean. Rean roll to his left as Rean used True Crimson Slash on Data-Xehanort, but he dodge it as he then teleported behind Rean and slashed him. Rean, however, managed to sense his presence and block and parry Data-Xehanort and then unleash a strong vertical slash on him. Rean then lunged at Data-Xehanort as they swing at each other until Data-Xehanort teleported into the air and then throw a spinning bomb at him as Rean took a Morning Moon stance and then slash it, throwing it back at Data-Xehanort and exploded on him.

"Ngh. Impressive!" Xehnaort grunted as his X-Blade up in the air as pillars of light came raining down, forcing Rean to dodge as he backflipped and then sent out Flare Butterfly on Xehnaort.

Data-Xehanort form a barrier around himself and then he launch Flare Shot at Rean, Rean dodge it by backflipping, then Data-Xehanort summon one large cannon and fire a large laser at Ream, backflipping again repeated times until Data-Xehanort teleported behind him and slashed him, while summoning spikes that shoot golden lasers at him and struck him. Data-Xehanort then warp around Rean with immense speed and then slashed him. Rean block it in time, but Data-Xehanort continue to teleport quickly as Rean continue to block each of his attack until Data-Xehanort fire Flare Shot at him to slide him back.

'Nngh... He's fast! I can't predict his next move!' Rean thought.

"What's wrong, Rean Schwarzer? Have you lost your tough?" Xenhanort taught as he fire Flare Tornado at him and then summon Spikes to shoot golden lasers at his direction.

"I'm not finished yet!" Rean yelled as he double-jumped to avoid the laser and hop the Flare Tornado, then spotted Xehnaort lung toward him and they both swing at each other until a power struggle.

"You're still hesitating." Data-Xehanort remarks, causing Rean to clench his teeth. "You're still afraid even after all that happen to you. Why aren't you using your power? That's how you beat me, isn't it? Don't waste my time!" He said, winning over the power struggle and then punch in the gut, sliding him away.

"Nngh!" Rean grunted before his power begin to surround him. "Fine then. I was planning on winning this fight without my powers. But since you ask me. I won't be holding back!"

"Excellent." Data-Xehanort grinned as he raised his X-Blade and summon pillars of light onto him.

Rean slide to his left, jump and dash toward Data-Xehanort as they swing at each other. Data-Xehanort and Rean unleash a series of slashes at each other until Rean used Fatal Helix onto Data-Xehanort. Data-Xehanort block it, but pierce through his defense as he was sliding back. Xehnaort then shot Blizzaga Shot at Rean. Rean deflected the shots as Xehnaort used XIII Combo as the background change and his avatars lunged at each and slash him. Rean block each one as Data-Xehanort formchange into Chaklam and then a double blade to slash Rean, but he flip to his left.

Data-Xehanort summoned two large spikes and fire a golden beam at Rean and force him to backflip until the avatars launched slashes onto him each and Data-Xehanort Double Blade combo him, grabbed him and threw him into the air, then summoned a cannon and fire a large beam at him and knock him back. Rean recovered as Xehnaort's avatar lunged toward him, forcing him to block each of their attacks until Xehnaort teleported him and slashed him with a Double blade, but Rean slid to his slash to slash him, but Data-Xehanort blocked it with his formchange his Keyblade into a Chaklam and punch Rean's face, sliding him back as the background return to normal

Rean shook his head and swing his Tachi as it imbued with crimson fire. Data-Xehanort throws Dark Shots at him but Rean jumps into the air and throws a crimson fire projection at Data-Xehanort, but he enter a Keyblade portal and slash Rean when he lands, sending him flying a few feet before turning to him. Rean and Rean lung toward each other and swing at each other where Rean block and marry Data-Xehanort and unleash a series of slashes at him, but Data-Xehanort block them all and parry to catch Rean off guard and fire Flare Shot at him, knocking him back a few feet.

Rean snarl as he used Supreme Infernal Gale onto Data-Xehanort, Data-Xehanort recovered, teleported in midair, and rained down pillars of light as Rean avoided each of them by jumping and rolling. Data-Xehanort then enters a keyhole portal and slash at Rean. Rean blocks the attack parry with Xehnaort by slashing him. Data-Xehanort teleported and then warp around Rean, dashed toward him and slashed him with immense speed. Rean block each of them but Data-Xehanort summon spikes to fire golden lasers and three large cannons to fire a laser beam at him. Rean nearly avoided them but wasn't fast enough against Data-Xehanort's surprise attack when he teleported to his left and slashed him.

'He's so fast... his magical attacks are keep coming at me endlessly.' Rean thought as Data-Xehanort threw a bomb at Rean and another after that as he deflected them back to Data-Xehanort until he enter the keyhole portal to slash Rean with a double blade. 'No... Keep it together Rean... Predict his next appearance and go for it.' He thought as his mind proceed in slow-motion on the battlefield as Data-Xehanort use Dark Shots as Rean deflected each one back to Data-Xehanort, but he entered the keyhole portal and then reappeared to his right. 'There!' He zoom toward Data-Xehanort and slashes him.

"Hehe... Not bad. But not enough." Xehnaort said as Rean turn his head and Data-Xehanort throw a Bomb at him and exploded on him.

"Nngh!" Rean grunted before he recovered as Data-Xehanort lung toward Rean.

Rean and Data-Xehanort swing at each other until Rean kick Xehnaort and then use Supreme Waning Crescent Slash. Then Rean follows up with Supreme Helix. Xehnaort recovered and fire Flare Shot at Rean as he slide dash to his right and slashed him. Data-Xehanort block and Parry with Dark Firaga, grabbed his throat and slammed him to the ground and readied his fist. Rean snarl and punch Data-Xehanort's face, knocking him away as Rean got up. Then Rean use Supreme Infernal Gale onto Data-Xehanort and follow up with series of slashes before kicking Data-Xehanort and use Surpreme Waning Crescent Slash to knock Data-Xehanort back a few feet.

Xehnaort let out a chuckle and then summon four large boulders and launch them toward Rean as he dash toward them, cleave them into two as it crumbled into repeatively did the same to each boulder until he reach Data-Xehanort to slash him. Data-Xehanort block and parry him and then Dark Shot Rean pushes him back.

"RWAAAAAAGH!" Rean unleashes a roar as his eyes change demonicly and snarl at Data-Xehanort. "Not over yet!"

"Ah so now you're using your full power. Amusing." Data-Xehanort grinned as he raised his X-Blade and summoned pillars of light.

Rean jump, backflip and then zoom toward Xehnaort as they swing at each other until Rean kick Data-Xehanort's guts and then swing to his left. Data-Xehanort recovered and use Flare Shot. Rean flip to his left but Data-Xehanort use Flare Tornado around Rean, until Rean took a stand and cancel the Flare Tornado by swinging downward. Rean then zoom toward Data-Xehanort and slash him. Xehnaort block and kick Rean back, enter a keyhole portal and slash Rean. Rean block and parry Data-Xehanort until he backflip and launch Flare Shot to push Rean back.

Rean cast Lost Genesis as Data-Xehanort took damage and then Rean zoom Data-Xehanort to slash through him. But Xehnaort teleported in mid-air and summon spikes and cannons to fire laser at Rean as he jump, slide and counter by throwing Supreme Crimsom Slash. Data-Xehanort enter the keyhole portal and then slash Rean. Rean block his attack as Xehnaort repetitively slash Rean where Rean was able to keep up until Data-Xehanort Thundaga on Rean on the spot.

"Nngh!" Rean grunted before he recovered as Data-Xehanort summoned spikes and cannons and then summoned his avatars to launch their assault onto Rean.

Rean dodged and block each attack until Data-Xehanort teleport to him and slash him. Rean blocked it until Data-Xehanort's avatar launch their attacks again, until Rean was swift enough to slash each one and then zoom toward Data-Xehanort and slashed him. Rean then unleash a series of slashes until Data-Xehanort block and parry, let out combo slash and jabs anf push Rean with Flare Shot.

Rean recovered as Data-Xehanort summon cannons to fire at Rean as he jump back.

"It's over." Data-Xehanort said, causing Rean to gasp and struck through to him as he also summon spikes to fire golden laser at him with a cannon over Rean and fire on him.

"NNNUGH!" Rean yelled in agony as he fell onto his knees and his power canceled.

"You fought well, Rean Schwarzer." Data-Xehanort said as he slowly approached him. "However, despite your best efforts and using your powers, you're still hesitant. Even though a certain someone helps you control your powers, you still fear it."

"Hahhh... Hahh..." Rean panted as he look at Data-Xehanort.

"You still have much to improve on yourself." Data-Xehanort pointed the X-blade at Rean. "Where is the warrior who defeated me without fear? You have the determination, yet the fear has a hold in your heart. Or rather, your father's heart. Well, it doesn't make a difference whose heart you have. It is still yours. If you cannot defeat me, despite all your efforts, you cannot overcome the Great Twilight, its curse, and the Dark One who haunt Erebonia since the beginning of its birth." he raised his X-Blade, swung his X-blade down.

Everything faded to white right after.

Rean let out a gasp, sitting up and panting, seeming in to be in a cold sweat as he looked around, seeing Ienzo, Ansem, Even, Xehanort and Eraqus. "Ugh..." He place his hand on his forehead. "What happened."

"You lost to Data-Xehanort." Even answered.

"Ah... I see..." Rean sighed before he look lost in thought.

"If you cannot defeat me, despite all your efforts, you cannot overcome the Great Twilight, its curse, and the Dark One who haunt Erebonia since the beginning of its birth."

'So Xehanort, despite being data, does know about this 'Dark One' Neve spoke up. Then that also mean Xehanort knows what this Dark One means?' Rean thought

"That was quite an impressive fight, Rean." Eraqus praised.

"Hmm..." Xehanort rubs his chin. "I must admit. I'm quite surprised to see the data version of me wield the X-Blade. Not to mention seeing the others of my real members are here. Although I must ask, why did you create a data version of me wielding the X-Blade, instead of my Gazing Eye keyblade?"

"That's because these data versions are based on the last battle that you as well the other members of your former Organziation had before their demise...or in your case your original demise." Ansem stated.

"Intriguing, so it's basically a training simulator where you fight against the Xehanort and his former group at their most powerful?" Eraqus asked

"However, I can't help but notice one member amongst the thirteen that is peculiar for one to fight." Xehanort said as he looked at the screen as he took noticed of one of the key-shaped portals had the Kingdom Key as its symbol. "That portal seems to be belonging to my original thirteenth vessel, this being Xion. However, when the Keyblade War happened weeks ago, Cornelia who was a reserve at the time was counted as one of the clashes instead when the replica switched sides. Why is the former puppet a part of those options that one can fight but not the Agarthan." Xehanort asked.

"Interesting question. Well if you must know, we wanted to wait until Black Alberich, Osborne, and the rest of their group are defeated for good so that we can also create data versions of each of them for training purposes. Since Cornelia is still alive after your Keyblade War, we figured we wait until she's finished off for good so in which then we can create a data version of her." Even explained.

"Fair enough. Although I'm still perplexed as to how you managed to acquire this data... but my hat is off to you for creating them on a similar power level as the originals." Xehanort noted.

"Rean, are you still okay?" Iezno asked

Rean nodded and smiled. "I'm fine. I'll admit. That fight truly helped me. It shows me how much I need to improve on... along with my fear. On the plus side. It helped me improve on myself. I'll be sure to stop by once I've gotten stronger. And when I feel like I'm ready, I'll face Xehanort again."

"Very well. Remember to be careful when you return." Ansem said as Rean got up and headed to the teleporter back to the Helbard.

Even rub his chin. "Hmm... You know, I been wondering."

"What is it Even?" Ienzo asked

"It's about the Jaeger King, the Steel Maiden, and Osborne. They have Divine Knights, and it confirmed that the Jaeger King and the Steel Maiden are Immortal. Could it be possible that Osborne is an immortal too? But if so... did... do the Jaeger King and the Steel Maiden have hearts?"

"Okay... just a little more... There!" Tail said as Alisa who was on the Orbal Gear EXA moving the arm and then begin to move around, so some punches and then fire bullets on the target practice. Rush forward, doing a few moves and took a stance.

"So Alisa, was it something wrong with your Orbal Gear or something?" Ann asked

"No. I figured it's kind of silly to be working in this industry if I don't understand what's going on at the ground level. And that Rean's been force to carry such a huge burden. I can't help but feel responsible, and... it's just too much..."

"Alisa, don't think that. Neither of them think of you that." Futaba argued.

"Wait... Are you talking about that bitch Cornelia said to you?" Ann asked
