A couple of weeks after Jase found out about the girls' secret, the girls were at Quinn's house for a sleepover.
"You were right, having our sleepover here is much better than my place," said Jasmine as she sat on the couch in Quinn's room which sat at the foot of her bed.
"We have a lot more to do here, no offense," said Casey before turning to look at Jasmine who she was sitting with.
"None taken," said Jasmine.
"And the windows have special coatings to protect from moonlight," said Quinn.
"By the way, how have things been with Jase?" asked Jasmine while pausing the movie they had been watching.
"He's not as hung up on the mermaid thing as I thought he would be, I mean he asks questions every once in a while but it's nothing crazy like I thought it would be," said Quinn.
"It's also been cool going on dates with him as it kind of just feels like we're hanging out like we used to," she said.
"Aw, first love," said Casey as she got up in order to go get some snacks from the mini fridge in the corner of the room next to the large screen TV.
"Shut up," said Quinn before throwing a pillow at her.
"Alright, moving on from the subject," said Jasmine with a laugh. However, all the laughter stopped when something came crashing through a window.
"What the?!" asked a startled Quinn as a ball rolled on the ground before them.
"Sorry!" called someone from outside.
"Oh no," said Casey while moonlight suddenly came through the window and landed on Quinn who had stood from the couch to grab the ball without thinking.
"Casey, you have to stop her," said Jasmine who was cut off from the door by the light while Quinn left the room in a daze. The door was on the same side of the room that the TV and mini fridge were.
"Try your best to keep out of the light," said Casey. As she chased after Quinn, Casey hit a panic button on her cell alerting the others.
"What happened?" asked Rikki who ran up with Zane as the girls walked down the stairs to the entrance way of the house.
"A ball broke a window and she was exposed to moonlight," said Casey as she pointed at Quinn who was heading for the front door.
"Quinn, you…," said Zane before the hall's temperature began to rise.
"I won't let you get in my way," said Quinn before everyone passed out from the heat.
