I'm back and I feel no different, besides the fact I've been sick for almost a week now. But enjoy this anyway.
O'Chunks found himself walking through the empty halls of Castle Bleck, feeling somewhat uncomfortable from the eerie silence. His head was full with thoughts, especially the ones of about four days ago, when Count Bleck and Tippi sacrificed themselves to destroy the power of the Chaos Heart. It made him really sad, of course, but it affected Nastasia the worst. Now it was no secret that she had a crush on the Count, considering the fact she had cried in front of everyone. And she was a total wreck ever since, locking herself in her room while Mimi tried to get her out of there, but it was useless. O'Chunks realized that he walked past her bedroom door, coincidently while he was thinking about her, and turned around to stare at it. He wanted to open the door and attempt to comfort her, but it probably won't do much… she'll probably just tell him to go away. But it wouldn't hurt to try, right? He walked up to the door and knocked on it, hoping he didn't wake her up from sleeping.
"Mimi, is that you?" She called out inside the room.
"Nah. It's me, lass, open up, I wanna talk to yeh."
O'Chunks stood patiently outside the door, waiting for her response. He could faintly hear some rustling behind the door before she spoke again. "You can come in."
O'Chunks, almost hesitating, opened the door slightly. He poked his head through the door, seeing Nastasia laying on her bed, her back facing him. He walked in slowly towards her. He sighed, trying to come up with something to say that wouldn't make her even more sad.
"Yeh still upset about him, aren't yeh?" O'Chunks said. Nastasia slightly stirred in her bed before answering him in a low and quiet voice.
"Yeah…"
"Ah, lass…" He started to say. "It's been four days and yeh still cryin'..."
"I know…" She murmured. Suddenly, She slowly sat up. O'Chunks' brows raised up a bit, noticing she wasn't wearing her glasses. He was a bit surprised, obviously, since she rarely, if not, ever takes off her glasses, especially in front of people. She sighed sadly and spoke up. "I was just… thinking about him and… Lady Timpani…" She paused before continuing. "I was wondering… what it'll be like to… be in her place…"
O'Chunks closed his eyes for a few seconds and sighed, before opening them and giving her a sympathetic look.
"Nastasia, I know yer sad about teh Count goin' away with Tippi, but think about how he's feelin', I know he thinks about us alot… especially you."
Nastasia's head perked up, looking up at him with a somewhat surprised face. "You think so?"
"I know so, lass," The Scotsman replied. "You were probably teh closest to teh Count outta all o' us."
She blinked, trying to process what he just said. Eventually, her lips curved into a small smile which relieved O'Chunks a bit, seeing her actually expressing some emotion.
"Um… thanks, O'Chunks."
"No need to thank me, lass, I jus' wanna make yeh feel better. Seein' yeh all depressed like that makes me little heart ache."
Suddenly, O'Chunks felt the need to finally speak his mind with Nastasia. He had developed a crush on her ever since he joined Count Bleck, but always feared she would spurn his feelings. Was now the right time? Had he waited too long? As he was lost in thought, Nastasia called his name.
"O'Chunks?"
"Eh?"
O'Chunks looked back at her, his cheeks slightly flushed. He wanted to admit his feelings for her so bad, but were the feelings mutual? He kept asking himself that question in his head.
"Listen, lass… I've been havin' these feelings for yeh, ever since I got 'ere…"
Nastasia gasped and stared at him, flabbergasted, her cheeks also a bit flushed. He stared back into her eyes, his heart beating rapidly in his chest.
"O… O'Chunks, I-"
Fearing she would reject him, O'Chunks quickly interrupted her.
"It's okay if yeh need some time teh think about it, lass."
And that's exactly what she did. She looked away from his gaze and she sighed slowly. She only had eyes for Count Bleck, but he was gone with Tippi, his true love. So, she figured that O'Chunks probably was the second-best thing to Count Bleck she could have.
"Um, it's alright, O'Chunks… I think I feel the same…"
"Eh?!" The Scotsman was taken aback. So she did share the same feelings for him. But he couldn't let it get to his head just yet. He needed confirmation.
"You sure, lass? Are yeh serious? Or are yeh jus' pullin' at me chin hairs?"
"Yeah, um… I… love you too, O'Chunks…" She said with a faint blush.
"Oh, Nastasia…" O'Chunks said slowly, getting a warm and tingly feeling in his stomach.
A small silence fell onto them as they were looking away from each other shyly. He was so happy he was finally able to admit his feelings for her, and even more happy that she didn't reject him. After a while, he got an idea and looked back at her.
"Eh, Nastasia… I know what else can make yeh feel better."
She looked at him with a curious face. "Hm?"
"How 'bout I take yeh over teh Flipside and we get some o' Saffron's cookin'?"
She stared at him for a moment before looking away. "Oh, O'Chunks, you don't have to do that."
"You know I love yeh, Nastasia…" The Scotsman replied sweetly.
O'Chunks looked over and saw her glasses sitting idly on her nightstand. He picked them up and gently put them on her face, making her blush a little as his thumb brushed off her cheek. He backed up a little and beckoned for her to follow him with a grin on his face. Nastasia got off the bed and walked next to him with no hesitation. O'Chunks felt his cheeks get warm as she held onto his large right arm. He was so happy. This whole scenario sounds like something he'd dream of. But no, it was reality.
O'Chunks and Nastasia walked out of her room with big smiles on their faces. Unknown to the pair, Mimi was secretly eavesdropping from her room, standing still in shock from what she heard.
