Ben: We decided to go to the Digital World to find Mary's and Amanda's partners, although Amanda wasn't too fond of the idea. When we got there, we were attacked by Mistymon as he sent Deltamon after us. We managed to succeed in finding their partners, Kudamon and Labramon, and they helped us defeat Deltamon. Now all five of us have partners, but Mistymon is going to have bigger problems. I wonder why is it he hates humans so much.
"The Dark Beast"
The digidestined are meant to help both the human world and the digmon's world. Many humans have become aware of the digimon, but that can be a problem since not all humans are good.
"Anyone else?" Somewhere in the Digital World, there were a bunch of digimon that were hurt. They all looked like they got caught in a pretty nasty fight, and that's because they were. There were two there that were responsible for what just happened. "It looks like there aren't any fighters here, Shadowmon. Let's move to the next area." Something is going on in the Digital World, and it might be a problem for a lot.

The Park
Now that all five of the new digidestined have partners, it's time for them to really get down to business. Of course, since some people are still nervous and uneasy around digimon, they have to try and keep a low profile. That's why they are all meeting at the park this time. They just needed to wait for everyone else to arrive.
"Here she comes." Haru said as they saw Amanda and Labramon being the last to arrive with Labramon in a leash.
"Hey. Did you guys start without us?" Amanda questioned.
"No. We were just waiting for you." Mary said.
"Labramon, are you okay? What's with the rope?" Dorumon questioned.
"It's called a leash, and this was Amanda's idea." Labramon said. "Although, I do have to admit that I don't really like it."
"It's nothing personal. It's just needed so that people would think you're just a regular dog." Amanda said. "As long as you don't talk, you can just hide in plain sight."
"Maybe, but how do regular dogs handle this?" Labramon said as he really didn't like this.
"You have it easy." Ponymon complained. "A lot of kids were coming up to me and asking if they could have pony rides."
"It would be a good way to make some extra money." Taka teased.
"You actually go through with that and you'll be having a new definition of saddle sore." Ponymon warned.
"Anyway, let's talk about what we're going to do about Mistymon." Ben said. "Mistymon believes all humans to be the enemy, and any digimon the sides with humans to be a traitor. What we don't know is why he thinks that."
"He says that ever since humans arrived in the Digital World, there have been more and more problems." Mary said. "Kudamon, have you or the others ever heard of Mistymon before? Anything about this?"
"No, I haven't." Kudamon asked. "Up until now, many digimon didn't really mind humans. I've never heard of a digimon that actually hates them like this."
"Maybe we should talk to Davis or one of the older digidestined about this." Mary suggested. "Maybe they or their digimon have heard of Mistymon."
"Good idea. Plus, I'm getting hungry. I think Davis is working." Haru said. All of them agreed to that and decided to pay the ramen place a visit.
...
The Ramen Shop
Haru and the others went on over to their new favorite hangout. When they got there, they saw Davis and Veemon working, but they also saw Ken and Wormmon were there as well.
"Hey, Davis." Haru said.
"Haru! Guys! Great to see you!" Davis said.
"Oh... So this is the Haru and the new digidestined you were telling us about." Ken said.
"You guys came at a good time." Davis said. "Guys, I like you all to meet Ken. He's one of the older digidestined and part of the team like Cody and T.K."
"A pleasure. Davis has told me about you guys." Ken said. "I would also like you to meet my partner. This is Wormmon." He said as he petted his partner's head.
"It's nice to meet all of you." Wormmon said.
"Well, this turned out to be a good idea." Taka said. "We can ask both of you about something. First, we'll have our usual."
"You don't have a usual. You haven't been here for that long." Davis said. Once all of them got settled with introductions and some ramen, Haru and the others got down to business. They told Ken and Davis all about Mistymon and were hoping they could tell them a few things about him.
"Mistymon? I'm sorry, but I've never heard of him." Ken said. "Have you, Wormmon?"
"No. I haven't." Wormmon said.
"I haven't either. You're saying this digimon wants to rid the Digital World of all humans? He says we're a plague or something?" Davis questioned.
"Yeah, and he's making it pretty clear he's going to do just that. I don't think he's in the mood for listening." Haru said. "If we have to face him every time we go to the Digital World, we need to know what we're getting ourselves into."
"I'm sorry we can't help, but I don't believe any of our friends or their digimon have heard of Mistymon." Ken said. "We've had our fair share of enemies that didn't like us getting in their way, but this sounds like something different. It sounds like this Mistymon is fighting for what he believes is a righteous cause."
"Maybe we should try talking to him again and have him see that he's wrong." Mary said. "While it is true there are some humans that aren't fond of digimon because of the trouble some of the bad ones brought here, the digimon would have less problems with us humans, wouldn't they? Some humans don't have access to the Digital World while many digimon were able to come here."
"That might be true, but it's not that easy." Amanda said. "From what I've seen, he's set in his ways and it doesn't sound like he's going to change so easily."
"Besides, if he finds out that humans have a problem with digimon, it could further divide both sides." Ben said. "If we want Mistymon to see humans aren't a problem to digimon, we would also have to convince other humans that digimon aren't a problem." It seems like they're in quite a bind. How can they convince Mistymon that humans aren't a problem when some believe digimon are the problem.
"Well, sitting here and slurping noodles isn't going to do anything." Haru said. "I say we head over to the Digital World. Maybe we can pick up a few things there, and I would like to see more of that place."
"Yeah. Let's go to the Digital World." Dorumon agreed. It didn't sound like a bad idea, and the others would like to see more of that world.
"Ken, we've got some time to spare." Wormmon said. "Can we go with them? It would be great to see the Digital World again, and it would feel like the old days."
"That does sound rather nice." Ken said. "Is it okay if we tag along as well?"
"Sure. I don't see why not." Haru said.
"Darn. I wish Veemon and I could go, but we've got to work here." Davis said.
"Don't worry. We'll tell you all about the fun you missed." Taka teased as they paid for their ramen and opened up a digital gate for them to just walk right through. With Ken and Wormmon tagging along, they all headed for the Digital World, but they will be in for a surprise once they get there.

The Digital World
Meanwhile, some other matters were happening in the Digital World. Mistymon might seem like he's against humans and wants to get rid of them, but he cares for other digimon. That's why he's feeling sympathetic on what he is seeing. He looked around and saw a bunch of digimon trying to tend to the injured. Mistymon despised seeing his fellow digimon like this.
"Vile humans... This is because of them, and that digimon traitor." Mistymon said as he tried to help the digimon himself. "Rest assure that I will make the ones responsible for this be punished. Snimon!" He called for a friend to help and that was when a giant mantis named Snimon ended up flying down.
"You called?" Snimon questioned.
"Find the ones who did this." Mistymon said.
"No problem. I already know where to look." Snimon said and then flew off with this preying mantis on the hunt...for humans.

The Digidestined
"Wow. The Digital World looks great." Ken said as he and Wormmon had a look around and were feeling a little nostalgic. "It's been a while since we've been back in the digital world. I'm amazed that you guys can open a digital gate out of thin air like that."
"Well, these new digivices make it possible." Taka said.
"That's right. Davis mentioned them. May I see one?" Ken asked.
"Here you go." Ben said as he handed his over, and Ken had a look over it.
"Fascinating. I wonder how this new model works. It's quite different from the original or the D3." Ken said.
"Hold that thought." Kudamon said as he had look around like there was something suspicious going on.
"Is something wrong?" Mary asked.
"It's too quiet around here." Kudamon said as he didn't like how this looked. "Have a look around. We're being watched." All of them had a look around and could see there were other digimon around, but they all looked rather scared to come out.
"Are they hiding from us?" Labramon questioned.
"Hi. It's okay. We won't bite." Dorumon said as he moved a little closer to them, but that was when they all ran off like they were scared. "That was rude. Why did they run off like that?"
"They were acting like they were scared of us." Ponymon said.
"Did something happen?" Swallomon questioned. That was when they heard an explosion go off and it wasn't that far from where they were.
"No. Something is still going on. We better check this out." Haru said. All of them hurried to where they heard that explosion. They hurried as fast as they could to make sure no one was hurt, but that's exactly what they saw when they got there. A bunch of champion and rookie digimon were on the ground and they looked hurt. It was a horrible thing for them to see.
"What happened here?" Mary questioned.
"Over there!" Kudamon said as he spotted something. All of them looked and saw what appeared to be a digimon dedigivolving. When things cleared away, they saw a black cat-like digimon with white stripes on his ears and sides white fur on his belly and face. He wasn't alone either. He had a human with him. The human looked to be the same age as Haru and his friends with him wearing a black jacket and pants with a purle shirt and had spikey sandy brown hair.
"How are you feeling, Panmon?"
"Not much different." Panmon said. "I guess we still have a lot of work to do. We're not going to get anywhere fighting a bunch of weaklings."
"Another human with a digimon?" Mary said.
"He must be a digidestined as well, but how did he get here?" Amanda said. That was when they noticed Haru and his group.
"Who are you guys?" The human asked.
"Who are you two? What's going on here?" Haru questioned.
"That's really none of your business." The human said. This one obviously has an attitude, and they don't like how this is going. As for Ken and Wormmon, he hurried over to an injured digimon named Gotsumon and tried to get answers.
"Are you okay?" Ken asked.
"Tell us what happened." Wormmon said.
"It... It was them." Gotsumon said through the pain. "We were all just minding our own business. That was when they showed up. They just came out of nowhere and attacked us for no reason."
"They did this?" Ken said as he was surprised to hear that. He took a look around to see a lot of digimon were hurt. One set of partners did this? "Those two defeated all these digimon, and they did it with no reason."
"Why did you attack them? Were they causing trouble?" Dorumon questioned.
"No. We did it because they were here." Panmon said. "We thought some of these digimon were strong, but they ended up becoming pushovers."
"You mean...you attacked them for no reason other than you wanted to fight?" Mary said as none of them liked the sound of that. "That's a horrible thing to do. What's the point in that?"
"Because digimon fight. That's what they do, and they become stronger because of that." The human said.
"I'm aiming to become the strongest digimon there ever was, and to do that, I need to become stronger. In order for me to become stronger, I need to find strong opponents to fight." Panmon said. "By becoming stronger, I'll be able to digivolve to my higher levels and keep getting stronger and stronger."
"You attacked innocent digimon just for that? It's all just for power? That's cruel. You can't do that." Ken said.
"I bet that's why the digimon we saw earlier were afraid of us. They were afraid we would attack them like you did to these digimon." Mary said.
"You can't do that. It isn't right." Taka said.
"Mind your own business. What I do really has nothing to do with you." The guy said. "Unless you all want a fight yourselves."
"I wonder if digimon with human partners are stronger than digimon without them." Panmon said as it seemed like they were going to fight. Were they really going to have to fight a fellow digidestined?
"Twin Sickles!" Suddenly, they were attacked again by a couple blades landing near them. They all looked up and saw Snimon coming down.
"There you miserable humans are!" Snimon said.
"That's one big nasty bug! Who is that?!" Taka said.
Digimon Analyzer (Ponymon): That is Snimon. Just like a preying mantis, he uses those blades form arms to attack, especially with his Twin Sickle attack.
"You humans have hurt a lot of innocent digimon, and I'm here to put a stop to that. Mistymon will pleased to hear that you're gone." Snimon said.
"Mistymon?!" Haru said as he knew this was going to be a big problem.
"I don't know what you're talking about, and I don't care. If you want a fight, you got one. Panmon, eliminate him." Panmon jumped up and began to actually digivolve.
"Panmon digivolve to..." Panmon began to digivolve as he grew in size. He became as tall as a human with him actually getting green pants with a fit physique and wore a leather strap over him connected to a shoulder pad. He was like a cross between a panther and a human. "Shadowmon!"
Shadowmon went right at Snimon and attacked. Snimon tried swinging his blade right at him, but Shadowmon avoided it and kicked Snimon right in the head.
"This is bad." Kudamon said. "If Snimon really is working with Mistymon, this could just further prove that Mistymon is right about humans."
"If that's the case, we've got to stop this." Haru said. "You guys get those injured digimon to safety. Dorumon, you and I have to try and stop this."
"Wormmon, let's lend a hand." Ken said as they both got in that fight and tried to stop it before things got any worse.
"Dorumon digivolve to...Dorugamon!"
Wormmon digivolve to...Stingmon!"
Both of the digimon flew right at Shadowmon and Snimon while they were fighting. Snimon swung his blade, but Stingmon used his stinger to block the attack. Shadowmon was going to attack, but Dorugamon tackled Shadowmon and tried to keep him down.
"What is this? More digimon that side with those awful humans?" Snimon said.
"No. We don't want to fight." Stingmon said. "There's really no reason for us to fight."
"I don't need one!" Shadowmon said as he kicked Dorugamon out of the way and kept the fight going. He moved past Stingmon and smashed his fist against Snimon with him getting knocked to the ground.
"Don't you have any shame in attacking a fellow digimon?" Snimon questioned.
"I'm aiming to be the strongest digimon there is." Shadowmon said. "I'll fight any digimon I can and have to for to be the strongest!"
"Let's see how tough you are after this." Snimon claimed.
"Ultimate Twin Sickles!" Snimon unleashed a series of blades at Shadowmon, but Shadowmon was able to evade each one that was thrown at him.
"Oh man! That incredibly fast!" Haru said as they all couldn't believe how he was able to move. None of Snimon's attacks were landing, but Shadowmon was able to close the distance and get right at Snimon.
"Darkness Slash!" Shadowmon gathered some dark power around his claws and slashed them against Snimon The claws tore right through Snimon and he actually destroyed Snimon. It was over so quickly and he did it without any mercy.
"How are you feeling now? Do you feel like you can digivolve to the ultimate level?" His partner asked. Shadowmon did a quick check on himself to see if there was any difference with himself.
"No. I don't feel any different." Shadowmon said.
"Well, let's see how you feel after dealing with these guys. They look like they want to fight." His partner said as he turned to all of them.
"You want to fight us?" Ken said as he couldn't believe this guy had the nerve to say such things.
"We don't want to fight." Stingmon said.
"Then you should have just stayed out of the way!" Shadowmon said as he actually attacked. He smashed his fist against Stingmon and knocked him down.
"Stingmon!" Dorugamon called. They all couldn't believe they would attack like that. Dorugamon glared right at Shadowmon and found these actions unforgivable. "That's enough!" He flew right at Shadowmon to try and stop him, but Shadowmon kicked him and knocked him away. However, Dorugamon pulled himself together and got up in the air.
"Cannonball!" He fired a series of attacks at Shadowmon, but Shadowmon kept moving around and was avoiding each attack thrown at him.
"Stop it now! There's no reason to be fighting like this!" Ken called. "I don't understand why you're doing this? Why attack innocent digimon? Why attack others that are like you?"
"Like me? You're not like me." The human said.
"Listen. There's a digimon out there named Mistymon." Ken said. "He believes humans bring nothing but trouble and problems for the Digital World. You attacking innocent digimon like this is just going to prove that he's right about humans."
"So what? That's not my problem." He said as it seemed like he really didn't care.
"You really don't care?" Mary questioned.
"How could you act so cruel?" Kudamon said.
"You're a digidestined like us. You have a digimon partner." Ken explained. "That means you're part of something that is meant to help both the human world and this world. We're suppose to work together to do just that. You attacking digimon like this is the opposite of what we're suppose to do."
"You think just because we have digimon we're somehow connected with each other?" The human said as he thought was ridiculous. "Wrong. We appear to have a digimon, but that's all we have in common. I honestly couldn't care less on what goes on in this world or our world. I only care what happens with me, and what I want is power." He's only interested in power? That's the reason he's attacking innocent digimon? Never has there been a digidestined like this one. Besides, why would want to be a part of a team?"
"What's wrong with working on a team?" Sid questioned.
"Only the weak rely on others, and I'm not weak." The human claimed. This was unbelievable. It was like this guy is standing for everything the digidestined are against. How is it someone like him has a digimon partner to begin with?
"You think relying on others is a weakness?" Haru said as he was finding more and more reasons to dislike this guy.
"It is. If you want something, you need to use your own power to get it. Why rely on others when they're just going to let you down." The human said. "Now that I think about it, let's just leave Shadowmon. We're not gonna get anywhere like this. If these people are all about teamwork, they're weak." Shadowmon did what he was told as he hurried over to his partner and lifted him up.
"Listen to me! You are making a big mistake by doing this!" Ken said. Ken's had his own dark past with mistreating digimon, so he knows what he's talking about. Seeing this guy like this kind of reminds him of those times.
"I don't care what you say. I'm only concerned with myself." The guy said. "Whatever it is you do, I don't care. It has nothing to do with me. Keep in mind that just because I have a digimon and a digivice like you guys, it means nothing. I do what I want to do."
"Wait! Who are you?!" Haru called.
"If you must know, my name is Sid Kagamu. I'm only going to say this once, don't ever get in my way again." He claimed. Just as they were about to leave, Haru noticed something. He spotted the digivice hanging on his waist and he saw that it was the same as his and the others.
'No way!' Haru thought as he was surprised to hear that. 'He's got the same new modeled digivice we have! Why does he have one?!' He didn't get the chance to find out before Shadowmon took off with Sid. Probably to cause more trouble and harm even more digimon. This doesn't help Haru or the other real digidestined. If this keeps up, humans and digimon could further spread apart.
