Trouble in Lumpy Space
We join Finn, Jake, and Zyro at Princess Bubblegum's Mallow Tea Ceremony along with Lumpy Space Princess, Hot Dog Princess, and Princess Bubblegum herself. They were all bouncing on some marshmallows.
"Whoop! Huh?" Finn said as he bounced with a tea cup
"Whoop!" Jake said as he bounced
"Whoa there!" Zyro yelled as he bounce while trying to grab his tea cup
"Whoopiiieee" Lumpy Space Princess said while floating with her tea cup
"Cheers, Lumpy Space Princess." Princess Bubblegum said as she bounced
Everybody cheers as the bounce on the marshmallows
"Bouncing!" Jake yelled
"This is strangest tea party I've ever been in" Zyro said as he continues bouncing
"Princess, this tea party sucks in a big way! But thanks for the invite!" Finn said to PB
"Oh, don't worry, Finn. The Mallow Tea Ceremony takes years to master." Princess Bubblegum told him
"Princess! I think I just now mastered it!" Finn said before the tea splashed into his face "One more bounce."
Finn bounced one last time before leaping off the marshmallows and hits the ground.
"Unh! Tea partying's hard, huh, guys?" he asked
"Oof! Yes!" Jake said as he hits the ground
Zyro leaps off a marshmallow and used his wings to hover down and land right next to his adoptive brothers
"I agree. How am I suppose to enjoy my tea with all this bouncing?" Zyro complained
"What?! No way! It's super easy!" LSP said
"Lumpy Space Princess, you big faker! You're floating, not bouncing!" Finn pointed out
"Yeah. That is cheating!" Zyro called
"Fine. I'll prove it" LSP said
She stops floating and falls down. LSP bounces off the marshmallows
"Oh snap!"
LSP accidentally bites Jake in the leg. Jake yells in pain
"Jake!" Zyro yelled
"Oh. Sorry I bit your leg." Lumpy Space Princess said
"You're still biting me!" Jake yelled
"Oh, my gosh. Oh, right. Sorry." LSP said as she removed her mouth from Jake's leg
Finn and Zyro hurried over as the dog's leg begins to swell
"Dude! Your leg!" Finn yelled
A lump formed onto Jake's leg
"Oh my glob!" Zyro yelled
" This is... new. It's nothin' ominous, though. Just a bump." Jake said
"Nah, that's no bump. It's the early stage of the lumps." LSP explained
"Is it serious?" Finnn asked
"It just means he's changing into a Lumpy Space guy, on account of my bite. It's just like, um, y'know... werewolf rules?" LSP expained before imitating a werewolf
"Oh no!" Finn and Zyro both yelled
"What? You think I'm gonna turn all lumpy like her? Get outta here." Jake said
"Uh, Jake. Your arm" Zyro said as he points at his arm
"What about my arm?" Jake asked before looking to see that it has become lumpy "Wha? Finn, Zyro, I think I'm freakin' out!"
"Calm down, bud! I'll... I'll sock the lumpiness outta ya!" the human boy said in desperation
Before he can do so, a tea cup was smashed in front of them
"Hey now!" Princess Bubblegum called as she bounced off the marshallows "Royal intervention! Surely there must be an antidote to the lumps."
"Yeah. There's an antidote, but you have to go all the way to Lumpy Space to get it. And Jake has to use it by sunset." Lumpy Space Princess explained
"What happens if he doesn't take the antidote by sunset?" Princess Bubblegum asked
"He'll be lumpy, like, forever." LSP answered
"Then what are we waiting for! We gotta cure Jake pronto!" Zyro yelled urgently
"LSP, please! Can you tell us how to reach Lumpy Space?" Finn asked
"Yeah, I mean, there's a portal nearby. I can show you whenever." LSP said
"Take us now! Take us now!" the trio urged as they left with LSP
Princess Bubblegum attempts to follow them, but feels a grumble in her intestine
"I should not have drunk that much tea!" she said as she goes the opposite direction
The trio and LSP reached a spot in the forest
"Don't go telling everyone about this portal or whatever. It's kind of a secret." LSP advised
The trio looked around confused
"Portal's that Frog and mushroom." LSP answered
The trio looked at the frog
"You're kidding, right?" Zyro asked in disbelief
LSP shook her head
The frog ribbits and leaps onto a mushroom
"Password, please." the frog said
"Whatevers2009!" LSP yelled
"Good day, Princess. Is your father okay with you entering Lumpy Space with three... non-Lumpers?" the frog asked as it puffed it's cheeks
"Just say yes! Yes, yes, yes!" whisphered Finn
"Yeah, whatever, fine." LSP answered
The frog then shot it's tongue at the four and pulled them into it's mouth one by one. They were then transported into Lumpy Space. Zyro flew on his wings before catching Finn. They landed on a cloud where LSP and Jake are.
"Well. That was surreal" Zyro commented
"Whoa... Lumpy Space. So, where's the antidote?" Finn asked
"Hold it. First, you should check out my house. It's, like, kind of lame, but way less lame than, like, your house." Lumpy Space Princess said
"Are you dissing our treehouse?" Zyro asked with a frown
"Uh, could you skip to the part where you tell us where the antidote is?" Jake asked
"It's up there at Makeout Point" LSP answered as she points
"That's so close! We can run there in no..." Finn said as he run up to it. Only to realize that it is across an abyss "time. Aww, what?! It's, like, a million-mile fall into space!"
"You know. I could fly us over there" Zyro offered
"Forget flying. We can travel by car" LSP said
Just then, Lumpy Space Princess' father, Lumpy Space King arrived in his car
"Daughter! Have you brought smooth people into our domain?!" Lumpy Space King scolded
" I had to, Dad... I'm trying to help them, so don't lumping yell at me!" LSP yelled back
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?! What did you just say?!" Lumpy Space Queen demanded
"I SAID, "LUMP OFF," MOM!" Lumpy Space Princess shouted before speaking gibberish angrily
Zyro can only look at this uncomfortably. Finn then walks up to LSP
"Uh" Finn said
"WHAT!?" LSP demanded
"Vroom vroom?" Finn asked
"Oh, yeah. I need to borrow the car." LSP said to her parents
Lumpy Space Queen was crying after what LSP had said to her
"You have made your mother cry for the last time, daughter! You are hereby banned from using the royal car!" Lumpy Space King declared
And with that, they went inside their house and slammed the door shut
"Shucks! I lumping hate them!" LSP yelled
Zyro then walked up to her
"Geez. I know they're your parents and all, but you didn't have to take things too far" the white dragon commented
"I'm really, really sorry, Finn. But I can't help you because my parents are horrible idiots." LSP said to Finn ignoring Zyro's words
"There's still the flying option" Zyro offered
"My friend Melissa has a car" LSP said "But she's dating my ex-boyfriend Brad"
"Call her NOW." Finn urged in frustration
LSP takes out her phone
"Hmm. Call BFF 66." she said through her phone
Elsewhere in Lumpy Space, Melissa was in her car when her phone rang. She answers it
"Hello?"
"Hey, Melissa. What's up?" LSP greeted
"What's she saying?" Finn asked
"I'm asking her, jeez! Melissa, just listen!" whispered LSP
" Have you forgotten what day it is?" asked Melissa
" Melissa. I'm trying to help out some friends?"
"Tonight is the weekly Promcoming Dance!" Melissa said
"Oh, Glob. I forgot." Lumpy Space Princess said
"What she'd say?" Finn asked
Zyro sticks his right horn out to hear better
"Tonight is the weekly Promcoming Dance!" LSP said as she speaks to Melissa " It's gonna be so flipping awesome!"
"LSP, we don't have time for this. Ask for the ride, LSP." Finn said exasperately
"Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh" LSP said geeking out
Zyro flew up and snatched LSP's phone. He then gives it to Finn
"Thank you" Finn said before imitating LSP "Melissa. You should totally drive us to Makeout Point to make out with hot boys!"
As Finn was calling, LSP attempts to get her phone back, but Zyro flew in and pushes her back to keep her from interfering
"LSP, you're so baaaaad... be there in a sec!" Melissa said
"Biyah." Finn said before hanging up
Lumpy Space Princess pushes through Zyro and gets her phone back
"Sorry. But Jake's lumpiness is worsening!" Finn said
" Actually, I think I'm beating it back with sheer willpower!" Jake said before his part of his head bulges "Oh my"
"We can't waste any more time. We have to get to Makeout Point ASAP" Zyro said
"Yeah, whatever. Just don't mess with my phone again." LSP grumbled
Just then, Melissa arrives in her car. Seeing that she is about to hit Finn, the white dragon tackles him out of the way.
"Ugh... OKAY! Let's go, let's go, let's go!" the human boy urged
Finn, Jake, Zyro, and LSP got into their Melissa and they drove off.
During the ride, they listened to music
"Aw, bros, this music ducks, right?" Jake asked before speaking in Lumpy accent "Ah. I love this song. We should totally TP Shandala's house!"
"Why are you talking like that?" Zyro asked in shock
This cause the dog to shake his head
"Gracious! That was terrible! Finn, if you and Zyro can't save me from the lumps... if I do turn... if I become lumpy like them, I want you to—" Jake began
" It's not gonna come to that. But if it does, I'll bury you beneath the nicest, most shadiest tree!" Finn said as he embraced him
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! I'm saying that if I go totally lumpy, then I want you guys to get used to lumpy Jake. What did you think I was sayin'?" Jake asked
"Keep it together, bro" Zyro said " You're not fully lumpy yet."
"CAN'T THIS CAR GO ANY FASTER?!" Finn shouted
"We're already here! Hi, Finn." Melissa said
"We've been here for, like, five minutes." LSP added
"Finally! Huh? This doesn't look like Makeout Point." Finn said as he got out of the car, only to realize that they're in the wrong destination
"This is Brad's house. You wanted a ride to Makeout Point? You think I want to make out with you?!" Melissa shouted as she grabs Finn
"Uh" Finn said worriedly
"Well, maybe I do, but... wait." Melissa said "I HAVE A BOYFRIEND, FINN!"
She's throws Finn and he hits the side of the car
"You okay, bro?" Zyro asked
"Yep" Finn replied before getting up "LSP, we gotta hurry! Jake's running out of time!"
To prove his point, more lumps begin to grow on Jake.
"Hey. This is hard for me, too. I mean, I used to eat chili cheese fries with Brad... so there's gonna be a lot of romantic tension on this ride!" LSP said
"Whatever you say, your lumpiness" Zyro muttered unimpressed
"Hey" Brad, a small person said next to Melissa
"Oh, Braaaaad..." Melissa giggled as she shook Brad in the hand
"You miss me yet, LSP?" Brad asked
"Scooch over, Finn. I'm gonna sit in the back." LSP said
"Hold on. Zyro's already sitting with us" Finn said
"It's okay, bro" Zyro replied "I'll fly"
Zyro flew alongside the car until they reached their destination at Makeout Point. The white dragon landed on the cloud as Melissa parked the car.
"This is it." LSP said
"Let's go!" Finn said as he and Jake gets out of the car
"Wait. Watch yourself, Finn. The guys who use the antidote up here are notorious for being... smooth posers" LSP warned as she whispered the last part
"Smooth posers?" Zyro asked confused
"What does that mean?" Finn asked
"It just means what it means. Hurry. Get the antidote so we can get outta here." LSP said
"Thanks, LSP." Finn said
"What he said" Zyro added as they head off
"BUUUUMPS." LSP said
" Um... bumps." Jake repeated
"Bumps" Zyro said
"Uh, yeah, bumps." Finn said
Suddenly, more lumps appeared on Jake
"Aw man" the dog said
"Okay, enough of that. Let's go!" Zyro urged
Finn picked up Jake and he and the white dragon head up the point. They met three lumpy people. They're names are Monty, Glasses, and Lenny. Monty was sitting on an orb and looks smooth.
"Hey guys. Looking smooth" Finn greeted
"Really? You think we're smooth?" Glasses asked
"Well, mostly you in the center, but yeah!" Finn answered
"Why are you sucking up to us?" asked Monty
" My best friend needs an antidote for lumpiness." Finn replied
"Yeah. We need to cure him before he becomes lumpy forever" Zyro added
" Chyah, lumpiness suuucks. Hey, Monty, time's up, sphere-hog!" Lenny said before pushing Monty off the orb which turns him lumpy again "My turn!"
Lenny sits on the orb and becomes smooth
"So the antidote is in that orb you were sitting on!" Finn said
"This orb is the antidote, bruh." Lenny replied
"In that case, can we borrow it?" Zyro asked
"Yeah, sure, as long as you give it right back." Lenny said as he gets off the orb and hands it to Finn
"Hammacow. Thanks, fellas." Finn said
"Now let's cure, Jake" Zyro added
But before they can do so, Lumpy Space Princess arrived on the scene
"What's taking so long? Did those smooth-heads give you the orb already, or what?" she demanded
This caused Lenny to take the orb back.
"Wait!" Finn yelled
"Is this another friend of yours?" Lenny asked
"What do you care? Just give 'em the antidote already, and stop being such a pose" LSP retorted
"Sorry, kid. We changed our minds" Monty said as he and his friends left
"Way to go, LSP!" Zyro scolded
"Why did you have to say all those rude things to them?!" Finn demanded
"What? I was helping you." LSP said
"Thanks a lot!" Finn said "They were right about to hand over the antidote!"
"Until you came in and ruined it all!" the white dragon added
"You're welcome a lot." Lumpy Space Princess said bitterly
" You insulted them! And they got mad! And now Jake's gonna be lumpy forever! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" Finn shouted
"Wow. Now I know how you really feel. I was just trying to help, but whatever." Lumpy Space Princess said before raising her voice "No. No, not whatever! I know I mess things up sometimes, but I'm really trying! And you're supposed to be my friends!"
What LSP said caused Finn and Zyro to feel bad
"Not like the fake ones I have here! So do what you want! I'm going to Promcoming! Are you coming or not, Lumpy Jake?" asked Lumpy Space Princess angrily
"No. Because no matter how messed up and lumpy I get, this guy never turns his back on me!" Jake said. Unfortunately he completely transformed into a Lumpy Space person. "Oh, yah. Right behind ya. Just gotta turn my back on this guy."
Lumpy Jake takes off with Melissa, LSP, and Brad.
"JAKE! IT'S ALMOST SUNSET!" Finn called
But it was too late, they were already gone
"Jake... I didn't save him... I..." he stammered
"Well that's just great. Abandoned by our own brother" Zyro grumbled before looking at Finn, who was looking shocked "Hey Finn, you okay? Finn?"
Finn then begins to yell wildly before punching the ground
"I'LL KILL YOU, LUMPY SPAAAAAACE!" he bellowed
Zyro then smacked him in the face
"Feel better?" the white dragon asked
"Oh yeah" Finn replied as he rubbed his cheek
"Jam on, man!"
The human boy and dragon look to see Monty, Lenny, and Glasses
"You three?" Zyro asked
" I thought you guys left!" Finn said
" We were drawn back by your plaintive wail. We dig your directionless fury." Monty said
"Um, thanks" Finn said
"Respect. Here." Monty said as he tosses the cure to Finn "Take it. Win your girl back!"
"Uh, he doesn't have a girlfriend" Zyro pointed out
"But there is still time to save Jake! Do you guys know where Promcoming is?" Finn asked
"Promcoming takes place way down on that land-lump." Monty replied
Finn and Zyro look down to see the Procoming building
"Sweet" Zyro said
"Awesome. Do any of y'all have wheels?" Finn asked
" Nah. We were all ditched here just like you two." Monty answered
"Well... you think I can make it to that land-lump if I jumped off this cliff?" Finn asked
"You kidding?! A smoothie like you will plummet right into the eternal void!" Monty yelled
"Don't forget. I have wings. I can just fly us down there" Zyro suggested as he showed his wings
"I got a better idea. What if I was lumpy? Could I float over?" Finn asked
"No, no! It's too dangerous!" Lenny said
" I'd say there's a 50/50 chance of you making it!" Glasses added
"That's good enough for me. Now bite me!" Finn said
The three lumpy people protest against this
"Finn, are you nuts?!" Zyro yelled "You'll be a Lumpy Space Person too!"
"That's a chance I'll have to take" Finn said as he forced Monty, Lenny, and Glasses to bite him
This caused Finn's body to swell into lumps very quickly
"Yes! I can feel the multiple bites accelerating the lumpification process! I'm starting to float!" he said
" Don't jump, guy!" Lenny yelled
" I have to! For my buddy." Finn declared as he leaps off " RAAAAAAGH!"
"Wait for me!" Zyro yelled as he flew after him
"Wow. He's insane." Glasses commented
Finn crashes through the roof of Promcoming while Zyro lands next to him.
"Ah, We made it!" Finn said
"Look, there's Jake" Zyro said as he pointed forward
They both see Lumpy Jake dancing
"Yeah! Promcoming! Yeah! Cool!" Jake said as he danced
Zyro and Finn approached
"Jake! I'm mostly lumpy now! And I totally think you should sit on this sphere!" Finn said
"No!" Jake replied
Finn attempts to forced Jake to sit on the sphere
"Sit on it!" yelled Finn
"No!" Jake yelled as he slapped the sphere down
"Come on, Jake! This isn't you!" pleaded Zyro
"Please, Jake! You're our best friend! Just sit on the sphere!" Finn begged
"Chyah! I remember you two! Just some smoothie wannabe lumpy posers!" Jake said
"Okay, that was totally uncalled for!" Zyro said as he shoot smoke from his nose
"Sit on it! Before I turn completely lumpy!" Finn pleaded as he attempts to get Jake to sit on the sphere
"NO!" Jake said as he refused again
"Oh, no! I can feel the lumpiness... about to consume me!" Finn said as he completely transformed into a Lumpy Space Person "Oh, yah. Being lumpy's the best."
"Finn, no!" Zyro said in shock
"Hey. Stop talkin' to yourself, dumb guy. Take your pet and your ball and get outta here." Jake demanded
"I am not a pet!" Zyro yelled
"Fine. I don't want you to have it anyway." Finn said
"So I can't have it now, eh?" Jake said
Zyro stepped back a bit feeling that this might get ugly
"That's right. It's mine." Finn said
"GIMME THAT BALL!" Jake yelled as he attempts to grab it
"NO! You can't have it!" Finn yelled
Zyro could watched as his two now Lumpy Space brothers were fighting over the cure
" I want it! Give it to me!" Jake exclaimed
" You want it that bad? Go get it, then!" Finn said as he tossed the ball making Jake go after it
"Bumps, bi—" Jake said as he sat on the ball. And in an instant he was back to normal
Zyro immediately raced over
"Jake?" he asked
"Zyro?" Jake said before looking at himself and gasp "Oh, I'm not lumpy anymore!"
"That's good, bro. Now we just need to cure Finn" the white dragon said
"Oh, no. Finn buddy! You gotta sit on this!" Jake said as he and Zyro went up to Lumpy Finn
"No! You can't make me! Smooth" Finn attempts to run away only to bump into a large muscle Lumpy Space Person and gets knocked out
"May I do the honors?" Zyro asked
"Go ahead, bro" Jake said as he hands him the ball
"Finn! Hey, Finn! Hey, buddy! Finn"
Finn woke up to see Jake and Zyro looking at him
"Hey man. You okay?" Zyro asked
"Dude. We made it" Jake added
" Man... There's something cold under my butt." Finn said before noticing the antidote "Oh! The antidote! Just in time, too!"
"It's good to have you guys back. I don't know know what I would do without my best friends" Zyro said
"Us too" Finn and Jake said
The three then begin to laugh. Lumpy Space Princess came in
"LSP, I'm sorry I blew up at you before. I didn't mean it. I was just really stressed out." Finn said
"Yeah. I'm sorry too. We just wanted Jake to be cured as possible. Hope you can forgive us" Zyro added
" You know, it's fine. You, Zyro, and Jake can make it up to me by dancing this last dance with me." LSP replied
"Sounds good to me. Whaddaya say, guys?" Finn asked
"I'm all for it" Zyro answered
"That sounds totally lame." Jake said in a lumpy accent
This caused everyone to gasp
" I'm just kidding. Let's dance!" Jake said in a normal voice
They all then danced the night away at Promcoming.
