"Ok next question" Sarah says,
"alright. Why does Kiara hate you?" John B asks,
"uh long story" John B nods,
"she didn't tell you?" Sarah asks
"nope. Just said she hates you and you did something but I don't know what. The only person who probably knows is JJ" John B says,
"sounds about right." Sarah says,
"what do you mean?" He asks "when we were friends she had the biggest crush on JJ"
"really" he says sitting up.
"Yeah"
"that explains a lot" Sarah tilts her head in question,
"they act different around each other. They are more touchy feely than friends are. There's just something about them that's not platonic" John B says
"yeah well the way she talked about him she sounded head over heels in love with him. All our other friends said it's bad to like a maybank but he seems genuinely sweet. Plus I have seen him shirtless so I get it" John B laughs.
Kiara is sitting waiting for the boys to come back from 'ringing it out' she starts to walk to where they went wondering what's taking so long when she sees them being attacked,
"let go of him topper you fascist asshole" she says while hitting topper with JJ's bag. Topper turns around grabs the bag from her and throws it,
"topper stop it" Kiara says and jumps on toppers back hitting him. Rafe comes up and takes her off of him throwing her to the ground
"Kiara" JJ yells trying to get to her. Topper begins choking Pope so Kiara goes to JJ's bag picks up the gun then puts it down and grabs his lighter, she runs over to the screen and lights it on fire.
Once topper and Rafe leave Kiara goes over to JJ and asks "you ok"
"yeah are you?" He asks and she nods, she wants to say more but Pope says "we gotta go" so they run.
After they drop Pope off they head to the chateau to see if John B was here.
"He's not here" Kiara says
"think DCS got him?" JJ asks
"if they did he will call us tomorrow" JJ nods then winces
"are you ok?" Kiara asks
"yeah I've had worse" he says and she sighs
"let me see" he lifts his shirt to show bruises on his torso,
"one sec" she says and goes into the fridge and gets an ice pack and brings it back
"to the couch" he says and lays down on the couch. Kiara picks his feet up and put them I her lap then puts the ice pack on one of his bruises
"ok forgot the sting" he says,
"what do you wanna watch" she asks
"don't care" she puts on mean girls saying
"can't go wrong with a classic" he smiles. They watch the movie making fun of the cheesy moments.
After the movie.
"So I iced all the painful places what next Dr. kie" he says
"some good ole lovin" she says leaning in and kissing him pushing him towards his bedroom. She lightly pushes him onto the bed and he winces,
"I won't hurt you. This won't hurt one bit" she say climbing into his lap.
They wake up the next morning.
"I need to shower before we head to Popes"
JJ says and
Kiara says "alright then let's go"
his eyes widen "really?" He asks a dopey smile on his face
"yeah now come on" he chases after her towards the shower.
They get dressed (they have different clothes at JB's) and head to Popes.
Popes about to be put into the cop car when JJ yells,
"it wasn't him" no no no JJ, Kiara thinks, please don't do this.
"It was me" JJ says stepping forward "he tried to talk me out of it. But I was mad because he had just been beaten up. And I'm so sick of those assholes on figure eight I lost my shit" Kiara takes a step towards him to stop him but he shakes his head at her, "I can't let you take the blame for something I did. You got too much to lose."
"JJ what are you doing?" Pope asks,
"I'm telling the truth" JJ says confidently "for once in my goddamn life I'm telling the truth. I took his old man's boat to"
"what the hell" Heyward says
"JJ come on" Pope says
"shut up Pope"
"Jayge" Kiara says behind him
"no Kie. This was all me" he says locking eyes with her and a tear spills out and she wipes it. She wants to run and kiss him and tell him it will be alright. But she can't.
"That's the whole truth?" Shoupe asks Pope JJ nods his head his silent sign telling pope it's ok
"whole truth" Pope says. Shoupe takes the handcuffs off Pope and puts them on JJ but before he goes in the car Kiara runs up and hugs JJ, Shoupe lets her knowing what JJ just did,
"I will get you out" she says into his chest
"I know" she pulls away and watches as JJ gets put into the cop car and drive off.
On the drive to the police station Shoupe says "I'm gonna try and help you. I know it wasn't you."
JJ nods and says "thank you"
"plus gotta get you back to your girl Kiara"
JJ chuckles "she's not my girl"
"sure seems like it."
JJ sighs "don't tell anyone" he asks
"alright." Shoupe smiles thinking 'young love'
(Wasn't expecting it to be Shoupe did ya. So I think Shoupe is a decent guy so I'm making him nice in this story. Other than when he thinks John B killed perterkin but to be fair how could he not be mad. Also putting episode 4 and 5 in the same chapter since I don't have to much to work with)
As JJ puts on the suit he wonders if Kiara would like it.
JJ walks up to Sarah well more dances up to Sarah, he taps her shoulder and she turns around "JJ?"
"Yep."
"What"
"I have a message from Vlad" he says dancing like an idiot
"from Vlad?" Sarah asks
"yep"
"okay" she says laughing lightly at him
"just read the note" he salutes her and she walks away, he turns away right into Rafe. Shit.
Kiara is listening to people drone on about something stupid when she hears it, a voice she can never forget. "Hey man I can walk myself" she turns and sees JJ, he's out. He's saying something to the guy dragging him out probably making it worse for himself,
she goes after him and shouts "let go of him" she hears her parents telling her to stop, "you can't boot him! I invited him here! I'm a member of this club"
it's enough of a distraction for JJ to push the guard away and walk away saying "hey mandatory power at rixon's Kie! You to Pope! Rixons cove let's roll Kie come on! Workers of the world unite throw off your chains" god he's an idiot but he's her idiot,
she hears her parents saying something but she just says "I'm sorry" and runs after him Pope following. She runs up to him and he catches her and spins her around, it feels so good to be in his arms again.
At the hospital.
"I gotta go home" Pope says
"alright we will call you when he wakes up" JJ says
"bye" Pope leaves.
Kiara and JJ are allowed in his room.
They sit in the two person chair when JJ says "I knew he macking her" Kiara sighs "look I get why you hate her. But maybe hear her out" JJ says
"I just don't want to get hurt again" he rubs her arm
"I know" she cuddles up next to him. They fall asleep like that. And that's how Sarah found them when she came back from the cafeteria. She smiles at them, even though she and Kiara don't talk anymore she wants to see her happy. And the peaceful smile on Kiara's face tells her everything.
