Tanjiro came into Kuri's shop.
Kuri looked up. "Welc—Tanjiro! Come in!"
Tanjiro smiled and came over. "How are you?"
"I'm good." Kuri wiped the coal dust from his face. "Here. You have a cut…" She bandaged it. "Be more careful." Her hand lingered on his, tracing it with reiki fingers.
"I ah…th-thank you….I'll try my best."
"You hungry?" Kuri held out a bento.
"Want to share?"
"Can we? Really" Kuri's stomach rumbled.
Tanjiro held it out. "Yes we can!"
Kuri shared with him, her vision eyes seeing his cruel future, she couldn't help it! With tears in her eyes she drew him to her and kissed him, shocking him.
Tanjiro gasped, kissing her back and whispering. "Ah…Kuri?"
Kuri blushed. "Sorry. I just thought if I didn't kiss you now maybe I wouldn't get another chance."
"I…y-you'll get another chance I'm sure!" Tanjiro reassured, confused.
Tears were falling unchecked now. "I…I…" Kuri kissed him again. "You need to go now."
"Yeah…I..should get back…" He sighed happily. "Thank you for the food. I'll see you tomorrow!"
"Yeah…promise to visit me tomorrow?" Kuri smiled, knowing it would be a lie.
"I promise!" Tanjiro smiled back as he left.
