Chapter 8
Aria's POV
one day later
I wake up to voices, familiar voices, I open my eyes and freeze it's Haley she is looking the other way through so I push my hair in front of my left eye to cover it up, Haley hearing the movement turns and gives me a big hug then holds me at arm's length and looks straight into my eyes or rather my hair and right eye. "Adriana Ella Uley." She says sternly "how could you do that, what would you do that."
The smile that was forming on my lips vanishes, and I remember what happened the day before, my mess of a life comes crashing down hard on me and I shrug away from her grip and get up. And Haley loos at me truly for the first time since the moon pool.
"Aria when did you get muscles- wait are you taller." Her voice sounds oh but I don't care she won't want to be my friend when she finds out what I am, nobody will.
My body shakes as I cry but Haley comes over to hug me "it's ok we are going to figure this out together"Haley whispers to me which makes me angry what does she know about what I am going through. I get up shaking and start to run. I run out of the cave not caring that I'll turn into a fish, "I HATE THIS" my anger rises my shaking gets worse but before I can take another step I fall to the ground as a mermaid.
I pull me tail to my chest an just sit there staring into the distance. Eventually the rain stops and bye the time Haley walks up to me. I feel better.
"Let's just focus on being mermaids while we are here and worry about other problems with when we get back to La-Push." Haley suggests we nod and start the trip back to the house "we are going to be in so much trouble when we get back" I say laughing
