Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Drinking Buddies. Enjoy the 4100-word chapter. I do not own any rights to Fairy Tale, Hiro Mashima, Kodansha, and a few others that I may write about.

The first thing Connor was greeted by was a foot, a barefooted human that poked into his chest. Connor stared at her with a raised eyebrow before he slowly looked up and hummed.

He was met by a woman who did not seem rather be caught off-guard before her. She was a rather interesting woman with shoulder-length brown hair and a pair of brown sandals that she held in one hand which made her brown eyes stand out more.

She had a white shirt on which exposed plenty of her belly and her blue which was exposed entirely. She also had a brown pair of jeans on when it came down to it.

He cleared his throat and slowly started to push himself to his feet while he groaned. There was a pounding within his skull which felt more like a bomb had gone off. He had been drunk and it showed him that he HADN'T been as off foot as he had been last night.

"W-Wha the hell do you want?" Conner asked as he groaned to himself before he looked at the woman.

He shook his head and sighed to himself. He was aware of what to do next and he scolded himself for being an idiot when it came down to himself.

"What the...? M-My head hurts." He said before he sighed and looked at the woman once more.

"I heard you're the best damn drinker in this damn place." The woman stated with a lapse to her words as he noticed she had a barrel.

Not a mug, not a glass of beer, or a similar beverage inside of the glass. An entire barrel of drink was slung across her arms like it was nothing to her. This woman was something else and it seemed to show in his body language as she simply dropped her sandals and started to drag him along with her. It was all too surreal when it came down to it.

All these issues would easily get somewhere eventually and he knew it. He knew more than she what would happen if she failed or if he did not get anywhere along the path anytime soon. It was such a thing that it had yet done.

It would not be nice for either of them for the time being. Not at all.

This woman was Strong when he considered it. she simply dragged him behind her when it came down to it. Conner had no real experience in battling this woman but was rather interested when he expected something to happen.

He cleared his throat and realized she had dragged him from the group of drinks that littered the floor. He was not going to bother asking what she was doing. Her actions seemed to speak for her. She had challenged him to a contest of who was probably better at the consumption of a drink both seemed to enjoy at the end of the day.

Either that? Or he was far too much gone from the right state of mind for this. He doubted more of the beverage would do a lot to him at the end of the day. His brain already seemed to hurt now.

He was rather happy yet he seemed to be rather thrown off at the time. He was rather interested in what she did next or how this contest went if his brain was not entirely thrown off by this. He was signed up for this now.

"What next?" Connor asked with a raised eyebrow as he did so. "We going to do this contest or what?" Connor asked with a raised eyebrow towards them. "Because I'll gladly win that contest as well," Connor said with amusement when it came down to it.

He was rather interested in what this woman did. Yet at the same time? He also did not seem to think of what to do next when it comes down to it. He cleared his throat with a rather small smile on his face to add to it as he did so.

The fact that she seemed to greet him only added to the fact that she was as invested in this as he was. it helped that she seemed to be rather as interested in who was better than the other when it came down to it.

Still? He seemed to be rather thrown off when it came down to it. This promised to be rather interesting for either of them. If it also meant the ability to enjoy himself when both considered it? He had happily let them both handle their work. It at the least promised to be rather interesting and made both wonder what would happen if the other lost. It probably did not either did not seem to care yet as their fates had not been decided when it came to it.

Well… In his mind? It meant both had more practice for the next time. He was rather scarred on that if he was entirely honest. He did not plan to try and drown his sorrows in beverages. Then again? Yet it seemed that now? He did not entirely want to care when it came down to it. He cleared his throat and sighed to himself with the more it seemed he resigned himself to his fate at the end of the day.

It was a rather odd place for both to be in and it seemed as if they were in the right mind. They would be rather caught off guard by their actions.

"Hmm…" Connor said before letting her drag him around and he tilted his head to the side.

Whomever this woman was, she damn well was a lot stronger than she seemed. If he was honest? He found it far more amusing than she had any real reason to be if he had been honest. It was a lot more interesting than when he was slumped against a tree pondering what to do next now, at least now he had something to do when it came down to it.

She smiled at him as he tilted his head with a lot more interest written across her face. it had been a lot easier to win this if he was, to be honest. She probably did not expect him to be good at trying to drink her under a table if he was 100% honest with himself if he was too honest.

Yet he did not once expect a lot on his plate today, this appeared to be the highlight of it. Not that he minded it at all, a chance to drink himself into a coma was not something he was to pass up anytime soon if he was, to be honest. It at least gave him something to do as of today.

He rested a hand on his temples and seemed to gaze around with a lot more interest written across his face. This was to be something he relished if he was, to be honest.

"Where the hell are we going?" Connor questioned; his eyebrow raised towards her before he seemed to smile as he did so. "I do not lose on something like this. It is a lot of fun, but I do not lose when it comes down to it. Not my thing." Connor stated before he raised an eyebrow and seemed to be bored with her.

She simply rolled her eyes and smiled to the side, she had far too much on her mind. It had to end, sooner or later. This was going to be damn fun either way. Still? If she wanted to battle him? Well? He would battle her as of the second. It would be somewhat fun when it came down to it. There was only so much fun that he could have.

Then again? Getting damn well drunk now? That would be rather fun, fun more than anything. It was something that just rolled off the tip of the tongue.

Conner would not back down from a challenge either way. It simply was not doing something that he would accept. This was going to be fun either way. It would be so odd if he did not challenge her on his own time either way. There would be more interest in what was to do next.

Still? If she was honestly going to challenge him. He would be happy when it came down to it. There was more to do on this, he had been ready to see this end.

"You're not going to beat me," Connor said while he sighed before he seemed to question when it came down to it.

The woman rolled her eyes as he tilted his head before he smiled and sighed to himself. He grunted to himself before he was going to be hopeful while he sighed to himself.

It had been interesting at the time. Did she want to beat him? He would try so damn hard to be hopeful and beat her. It was not like he could afford to back down for even a second, that would mean some more problems at the end of this day.

Still? If she wanted so badly to try and surpass him, he would welcome it. he needed it more than anything else. This would either end with her failing, or she would push him and he would find it to be more curious than he had been a few seconds ago.

She almost seemed to drag him across the place. It had been curious, very curious as to what was coming. He smiled at her which seemed to be returned. Maybe he was crazy, he did not know. He did not care more than anything at the time than getting something more into his draining tank. It was more like trying to fuel a machine that had slowly been brought down slowly and painfully.

The woman smiled, an odd expression on her face. It had Conner raise an eyebrow before tilting his head. Pain swept over his face as he realized that it was catching up to him. Something was washing over him.

"No, I'm going to tank your stupid ass…" The woman stated before he rolled his eyes himself. "I am not losing this. Not at all, we are not going to settle this without some money either." Cana stated before she sighed to himself.

There was no time for words when it came down to it. A lot more on the line, money? He would handle it at the time.

He sighed and ran a hand down his side as he seemed to suggest more that could have come… More as of this had been done as of this seemed to question when it was honestly fumy.

He started to drink before he felt a foot hit his side, he seemed to question what was to come next. It had been an odd little thing before it was all over as of now.

He turned to look around at her as she smirked and kicked at him.

He sighed and rolled his eyes while he seemed as if not to do as now. He had been unwilling to back him down.

She smirked and poked and prodded him before she seemed to question what to do next. She clicked her fingers again and seemed to grow more bored before this. This was an odd little thing to happen before now.

It had been something to deal with all that had been said and done. All that had been coming and going had been more than could be borne easily for now… Now. Yes, the idea had more promise than he could consider. A lot more promise.

He smirked and downed another sip, sending the cooling and refreshing for now. Whatever came next was to be fun and he knew it. Still? There was fun to be had. Oh, so much fun for now and he knew it.

The chance to win and he knew for it and he was oh so ready to end this, oh so much at the end and he wanted it to be for now. He would be a lot more curious for now as the time.

It was to be fun and he knew it, more fun than he had a lot for the second as of now. The smirk on his face had spread all over the place. He kicked back as the two started to play a game of their own once more.

It had been something fun and interesting for them more than anything. Yes, it was to be something interesting as she kicked her foot back at his, trying to unbalance him despite her best efforts… Despite any efforts, if she was to be something interesting, she knew it.

The two chugged in as much beverage as possible. It had felt numbing and without a doubt the coldest and driest brew that had passed down their gullets. It honestly did not at all surprise them that their bodies had shivered in delight. It came like a flood of bliss and temptation sliding its way down their throats and forcing its way to where it could do the most damage. Honestly?

It became the most delicious thing that either of them had tasted before now. It had been a lot more to do and oh so much to handle for the time being… What had to be left would be left at the end of the rope either blasted away and OH did they wish for that game to come?

He smirked and cracked open the first bottle only for her to grip him with such an energy that he almost wished he had before now, a power that he had been thrown off by for only a few seconds before he managed to have prepared for the best, for the worst.

It had not yet gotten off the ground at all which made him panic. It made him too terrified to have gotten where it should have been.

She yanked him forward, almost shattering the seat he had been on, he slammed into her, almost knocking them both off the time for now. She seemed at odds as he slammed into her with the force of a meteor.

"No, damn it. You are going to be drunk with me the proper way, sit the hell down." Cana said before she yanked him towards her with enough force to frighten him.

"Then what the hell are the damn rules?" Connor asked as he raised an eyebrow, too thrown off to have said anything.

The woman kicked off her shoes and looked around with interest as if gauging what to do with everything.

She laid the bottle along with several others in between her legs as she gestured for him to sit while pulling his legs into hers which made them sit foot to foot. She placed the crate of beers and drinks between them while smirking at her friend who had been so utterly confused that he simply allowed her to have her way. It was not like he did not at all know what to expect.

"You are going to drink with me like this… Each of us gets to have the damn bottle, you are not going to get me, ok?" Cana questioned for now when it came down to it. "We are going to have done before now. Now? Sit down." Cana ordered as Conor rolled his eyes and took a seat, too amused to surrender.

No, he damn well took it as a sign he would have won. She wanted to steal for now and he was not going to win this easily, there was only so much he could have done to have fixed this and so much he wanted to have been prepared, for now, there was just so much he could have done and wanted to have done.

He smirked and sat down to greet her. Did she want a fight? Damn straight he would get one and give it to her if that was what she had wished for.

He was caught off guard, sure… But he was also too eager to have proven her wrong, to have beaten her in battle, that was the only way he could have done it for now. This could have been something that he wanted to have prepared, for now, this was a lot worse.

Something he could have done, for the time being, there was more to have done and dusted, something else he would have to face and contend with when it was all decided for now as the end of the day.

This game had been over or even been decided for now… It had to be decided for now. It was fun and exciting. She gripped and bottle and put his hands under it before gripping it with her own hands. He simply did not know her as well as he expected he probably would have if it came down to it.

They had not the proper idea, for now, there were such things on the mind he could not have properly compelled himself to have dealt with.

"C'mon…" Cana slurred as he rolled his eyes and simply sat downwards before he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mind.

She had yet to see problems while he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. He decided to humor her, trying to see what this game would have been a lot more amusing.

She lifted their shared bottle to her lips and slowly let it guzzle down her gullet, letting the sweet enjoyable drink flow into her and allowing her to amuse herself before she felt it pour towards his lips as well. The drink swished down their throats as if it were water.

"Please, I've done worse, lady…" Connor said as he rolled his eyes and looked at her straight in the face as if daring her to try harder.

"Ugh… Cannot even wait for your damn turn." Cana said as he rolled his eyes.

"Maybe because you have not even told me the damn rules. I cannot fight for." Connor stated before he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. "Are you going to be, ok? There are a lot more problems when it comes to getting this stuff down… Need a tough stomach." Connor said before he rolled his eyes as he wiped off his lips.

"Maybe you just can't handle it as I can," Cana said to which Connor rolled his eyes.

"Trust me… I can. Just do not want you not to be able to see me win." Connor joked as she kicked at him and just made her kick him in the face.

He only rolled his eyes and continued to lift the bottle towards his face only for her to grip it more tightly. Connor simply raised an eyebrow as if challenging her to do something. He was starting to have driven her to the edge… Did he want a victory but to this? Well, damned if he did and damned if he did not to the gates of hell and back as of now.

There was only so much for the time being as he looked upwards and looked upwards before yawning upwards before he looked upwards and downing another bottle, tossing it into the crate next to him. He knew more and more of an issue needed to be addressed.

Yet Connor was well and truly amused by Cana who tried to sit on his legs, grabbing the bottle before he seemed to grasp what she was trying, she wanted to try and win easily, and yet it did not at all make him back down from his little game with her.

Connor could try and understand her better but it was clear he as a warrior did not wish to relent or back down. Either would forfeit the challenge and yet it did not at all matter to him as doing anything was going to be seen as backing down.

Connor surrendered the cup of drink as she looked up and stared him in the eye. It was almost amusing to him how willing she was to try and challenge him and see it to the end of the day.

Perhaps it was simply worth more and more of an issue for now. it was not something that was going to be a problem for now.

"Are you going to be, ok? We are going to be an issue for now if we do not know what will be coming… And I doubt you want to get kicked out." Cana heard as she snorted and looked around before clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth.

Cana was a lot more amusing than she looked, openly challenging him as he looked around and all too eager to see him crumble before her. It made Connor snort as he seemed to find some use for his vocal cords.

"I'm starting to think your pretty damn weak," Cana said as Connor rolled his eyes before slowly starting to question,

She sighed and slowly gulped down the rest of her drink as she seemed to be capable of more. She crossed her arms and looked at him, all too eager to throw down in their drinking constant contest.

Yet? Well, Connor was a bit slow to try and grasp the concept of it all.

"I think I win." She stated that Connor was silent, unwilling to answer or give her an answer for a while. "I know I win so you need to listen to me…" Cana stated as he raised his eyebrows and looked downwards before yawning.

Connor did not at all find it to be worth mentioning, not simply because he was all bemused to see it end… No, but to see it all come to a head, Cana was very damn powerful and very good at her job and it got to the point where it could be considered much of a game for now.

He yawned, clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth before sighing as he finally decided to try and look at her as an equal, a measure of interest that needed to be addressed by himself.

No, it would be far too odd to try and end today, far too odd, and far too interesting, fascinating as to how well it could work and be played off upon now, played off as a skilled warrior, one who had the skill and talent to match more and more upon what needed to focus upon.

He did not at all know what needed to be a lot more interesting little manner for now.

He would back down if not for the idea more and more problems would arise, he would be damned if she beat him on his own damned game, not today and not ever to something as trivial as a damn drinking contest. It was worth it.

He almost kicked Cana back and chugged down the cold tap before looking her in the eye and daring her to top it, daring her to try.

"Your pretty damn good…" Cana slurred before grabbing a keg and almost making Cana wince as she realized simply what was going on and what would be happening.

"Are you trying to challenge me like that?" Conner asked, gripping her foot as he did so, interested in now.

"Maybe, what's it to you?" He asked before he looked over to her and felt tired, too interested in what he would continue to do next.

He was not going to be dealt with in this way, he would not be too interested as she clicked her fingers.

Whatever as she paused to try and deal with it now as she seemed to try and deal for now.

Cana seemed to be prepared for now as she looked to try and deal with for now as she looked to try and deal with what she could keep growing more and more.

She had been pointed out as she seemed to keep growing, for now, she looked to the side before she thought of what was happening and then sighed to let it come crash for now at the end.
